Best in PB, not in San Diego. Cozy, fresh, friendly. Michael is a new sushi chef has been there a few months now so settling into his groove and getting comfortable. You can taste the confidence. He randomly concocted as we were sitting at the bar, perfectly gorgeous, absolutely unforgettable individuael servings of the best creme brulee I've ever tasted... made with love for myself and two of my roommates. You should come meet him. Super interesting conversation and sincere attention paid to giving you the best sushi experience. Hands down my number one go to. Their plum wine alone makes it worthy of a visit.

Had an amazing lunch at PB Sushi, and Cynthia truly made the experience exceptional. From the moment we sat down, she was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, and everything was timed perfectly, making for a relaxed and enjoyable lunch. The Cynthia Special and the Tavern special roll was absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Huge credit to Chef Paco for the quality, presentation, and execution of the sushi. You can genuinely taste the care and expertise in every bite. Between Cynthia’s outstanding service and Chef Paco’s incredible sushi, PB Sushi exceeded expectations. Highly recommend for lunch, and we’ll definitely be back 🍣👏.

We had such a wonderful time at PB Sushi in Pacific Beach! FYI There is free neighborhood parking once you turn off Garnet Ave. We had the Sarah Roll and the Mango roll. The coconut shrimp and garlic edamame to start. All so fresh flavors and beautifully prepared. For drinks we tried the Hard Guava Lemonade, so refreshing with a sake kick! We sat in the indoor-outdoor patio with air conditioning and relaxed into the evening. Sarah took care of us and was just an absolute delight with great recommendations. We will be back!

Sushi and service have been amazing every time we’ve dined in - we’ve been here 4 times. It gets busy on weekend and if there are tables that choose the AYCE. The staffs are all very friendly and very kind. We always try at least 1 new item but have our order set on the Salmon Lemon, Golden Tiger and Zen.

Girlfriend and I had such a great dinner at PB Sushi! We ordered everything our server Sarah recommended and we were glad we came hungry! It definitely looks like they have been making changes as the place feels much cozier, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay longer. We are planning on coming back this weekend after our beach day! Might need to call and reserve a table because they get busy! Definitely one of our new favorite spots in Pacific Beach.

All of the staff were very friendly too. We ordered a variety of rolls and enjoyed every single one. Our rolls were flavorful, and the presentation on the plate was beautiful, and shoutout to Chef Andre for crafting our rolls. All in all it’s a great option if you’re looking for exceptional service, and a delicious meal at a reasonable price.

I’m admittedly a bit picky when it comes to sushi (I’ve been ruined by too many omakase counters), but this spot hits the craving when you need a quick roll fix without ceremony or a second mortgage. If you’re nearby and in the mood, it’ll do just fine.

The cups looked unwashed, there was visible grime and what appeared to be mold underneath them, and the overall cleanliness was extremely concerning. I even noticed what looked like mice droppings in the corners, which completely killed my appetite. The food itself was just as bad — poorly prepared and genuinely unpleasant to eat. On top of that, the service made the experience even worse. I was polite and respectful the entire time, yet the woman working there responded with constant rude and nasty remarks, no matter what I said. It felt hostile for no reason. Between the filthy environment, terrible food, and awful service, this place is a hard no for me. Do yourself a favor and stay clear. I definitely won’t be back.
