The chicken Tacos are the best I have had in the US. They are super friendly and their customer service is on point. Their margaritas are the best in Santee!
Marieta’s Fine Mexican Food at 8915 Carlton Hills Boulevard Santee California. Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner. We were at Mary’s donut shop a few doors down from and decided to try out Marieta’s. Turned out to be a Diamond in the rough. The waiters are professional and proper and the food is very authentic, south of the border authentic. Prices are 10 - 20 dollars a person. They serve alcohol in many delicious drinks, the Margaritas are worth a try. Lots of entrance level parking and handicapped accessible. Pictures attached show some of their dishes. When you are done don’t forget Mary’s donuts.
We were out on a motorcycle ride and decided to stop in for an early dinner. We were very surprised at what a nice Mexican restaurant this is. The service was excellent and the food was even better. We can't wait to go back again!
So so so good but leaves me feeling so fat because i eat so much i get runny poops from alll the beans because they are so good and the other guy that dances is cool there is he single? Thank you god bless the usa
Went there for lunch with wife. Restaurant was clean, atmosphere was pleasant and salsa & chips were warm. Service took a little longer than expected (about 10-15 minutes before server came to table for drink order.) Foos was served hot and very tasty as usual. All in all, great food but just slow service on this visit. 2 people, order 2 double combos and drinks and cost was $45 not including tip.
We LOVED Marieta's! Great food! Great service! And the atmosphere was packed with people enjoying some good, traditional Mexican food. Theres lots of Mexican places between our house and the 20 miles we drove to get here but we heard it was awesome and was well worth the drive. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a good Mexican meal.
I had the most delicious mole chicken enchiladas I've had since my beloved mother passed away. Our server, Adrian, was very polite & very serviceable. The music was not too loud, & it reminded me of the great times I used to have when my family lived in San Diego. I thoroughly enjoyed dining there with my fiancé. I highly recommend this restaurant of truly authentic Mexican food.
By far the best Mexican cuisine! I could honestly say that the beef and bean tostada could be my last meal, and I’d skip towards my inevitable doom with joy in each step. In all seriousness, the staff is amazing. Your refills come so quickly you’d think your drinks magically appear. The food? I can’t think of any word besides exquisite. You can hear the kitchen’s hustle and bustle, the sound of your food being made and quickly served with flawless efficiency. If you don’t trust my review, that’s totally fine. Try it yourself, and you’ll see exactly how honest I’m being. Perfect food, perfect atmosphere, and perfect staff makes a deadly combo. By far the BEST food place in Santee. Honestly, maybe even all of San Diego. Also don’t go to the Alpine one. This place makes that one look like a joke.
This place is a very comfortable and nice place. The staff is very welcoming. Adrian was super good with us, fun with the kids, and nice with the parents 😄. The guy plying the guitar is very skillful, asking him what you'd like and he knows to play. The food is amazingly good. The trio fajitas is my favorite dish, cooked well and not greasy, just perfect. The kids' burgers and eggs were also good, and the carne asada plate was very good. The plates will fulfill you, the drinks will delight you, and the staff will entertain you.
This place has an authentic feel with a guy playing the guitar and singing at the tables and chips, salsa and refried beans served as an appetizer. Our server was great - helping with items to select and having fun with my grandma while she ordered. My wife and I shared the chicken fajitas and it was plenty of food for both of us. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
We always sit in the bar area to watch games. We were practically completely ignored by the staff. We barely got any service. It was like they were forced to wait on us. We got our drink order. But then ignored for menu's for quite awhile. Then it took forever for a waiter to take our order's. It was apparent that the regular customers come first in this restaurant. We won't be back or we will sit in the dining room area. Hopefully the service is better there. The food was exact, but lousy customer service.
Excellent quality Mexican food, but a bit pricey. Got the Brunch special Steak and Eggs with a blended Lime Margarita, and the Beef Flautas. Everything was very tasty. The medium rare steak was very tender with minimal fat and no gristle. The service was excellent, fast and very friendly. Plus, there was live Mexican music! Update: Got the Pollo Mariettas fried half chicken and bowl of the Menudo soup. The fried chicken was freshly made, crispy and juicy. The Menudo was excellent and not mainly broth like at other restaurants. Update: Got the Menudo, Chicken Mole, and Chili Colorado. Everything was excellent.
the place smells like methane. the calamari was disgusting and not at all like the pictures and it seems stupid expensive
I had the breakfast burrito and that night I had the cold sweats and in the morning I was vomiting. It was definitely this food and the manager needs to look into this. This was August 20th, and I was eating dinner with my wife. I unfortunately cannot recommend this place because of this.
I was hungry for some good tacos instead what I got were two hardshell purated chicken and purated asada tacos. Favorable yes. BUT absolutely disgusting tacos. The price on the menu was $7.00 per taco. And when I got the bill it was $7.50 per taco. I was not pleased with the quality of the food ! So probably will not return here. The restaurant was pretty much empty of customers. That should have been my clue. Fool me once shame on me!! But there will not be a second time.
So bad I don't know where to even start. Was told 20 minutes to be seated. It took over 1 hour and 20 minutes. Food was terrible starting w the salsa which was like spicy ketchup. Guac was horrible and watery. Entrees were some of the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. Not sure how this place even stays open with so many other better places to eat. To top it all off the older gentleman waiter who served my party of 5 pretty much completely ignored us the entire time, leaving drinks and chip baskets empty the entire time. One of the worst dining experiences I ever had.
