A truly beautiful Asian fusion restaurant in Tulum! From the moment we arrived, we loved the amazing ambiance and stunning decor, it’s such a lovely place to dine. The food was absolutely delicious, but the real highlight was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, took the time to patiently explain the menu, and gave great food recommendations. Little thoughtful touches, like offering mosquito repellent spray, made the experience even better. We ordered the sea bass tiradito, Szechuan wontons, and Southern Thai fried chicken, and every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Everything tasted fantastic! If you’re looking for a refreshing change from local Mexican food while in Tulum, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Absolutely delicious! Superb service! The fish collars were my favorite, we also had the curried cauliflower and sea bass.
Asian fusion restaurant with a Thai centric menu 🐅 The meal was so satisfying! We thoroughly enjoyed every dish: - Tuna aguachile (try it with the house chili oil for extra kick 🌶️ ) - Crispy rice salad (delicious side with an amazing explosion of flavors and textures) - Meat balls (make your own lettuce wrap! Love the sweet chili sauce) - Lamb red curry (the addition of pineapple balances the smoked meat and creamy curry beautifully) - Fried Chicken (juicy fried chicken 🍗 with a tasty side of pickled cucumbers) The food is great for sharing. Gluten-free dishes are clearly denoted on the menu 📝
My new favorite place in Tulum! We couldn't decide so we all shared the crab fried rice, the sea bass and the pork belly. All 3 dishes were amazing. The flavors were incredible, sweet with some spice but not too spicy. Don't forget to try the wontons! Chef's kiss! Combined with the comfortable casual atmosphere, and fantastic service (so friendly and attentive), it can't be beat.
New favorite restaurant in tulum and I have tried A LOT since I don’t cook here. Quality innovative dishes, authentic flavors set in a gorgeous building with high ceilings and inspiring decor. Let’s get to the food - pad Thai with giant prawns is fantastic as this special we had (sword fish and Thai salad). Taste was on point - better than Thai food in New York City where I’m from and honestly almost a replica of what I’ve had in Thailand. Huge portions with lots of fresh veggies and savory noodles. Mariana provided wonderful service as well as the rest of the team! As I told them, it’s one of those places I could go to every day/dream about when I leave because everything exceeded expectations 😊 Not a review I was asked to write (as happens quite often here) I just had to spread the word of this incredible establishment. 100% a must visit if you’re in tulum!!!
Asian Bodega is one of the best restaurants in Tulum. The team is sharp, attentive but don’t be fooled by the humble look and vibe of the restaurant this kitchen is pumping out hits and while making it all look easy.
My server was Benjamin and he is such a Beautiful soul, looked after me as a solo traveller and recommended a great selection of food. I also met Julio who was the owner and her gave me TONS of recommendations for my next destination in Oaxaca! My pics do not do the food justice and the dessert... 🤩
The mango sticky rice, crab fried rice and drunken noodles were legendary! Some of the best Asian food I’ve had in tulum. The host Julio and Hunter are so warm and kind as well as the servers. Will definitely be back soon to try their famous fried chicken & their oyster bar next door !
We had an incredible experience here. From the atmosphere to the wait staff to the food… everything was phenomenal. Prices were extremely fair for the amount and quality of food. I can’t recommended it enough. We may go back before we leave within the next two days.
This was the best food I’ve had in a long time. Point Blank Period! I’ll be returning here for food and drinks on my second trip to Tulum! The owners are also an awesome couple that are extremely accommodating and have a wonderful bar next door.
Very nice Asian restaurant in la Veleta. We passed by so many times on a scooter as we were staying near by that I added it on my list to try when craving for something different. We weren’t disappointed! The food was very good, asian fusion menu with great options, fresh and tasty, perfectly cooked. We had the grouper thai radito, the green curry moules frites, the seabass curry and the brownie. Everything was delicious and very tasty. A great date night!

If you want to try some really tasty Thai / Asian inspired cuisine in Tulum, do check out Asian Bodega. It’s a little away from Tulum Central but worth the extra drive / bike / walk. Highly recommend. Great hospitality and ambiance for dinner.
Asian Bodega is incredible, the food is the best I’ve had in Tulum - Pad See Ew and Tom Yum chips deserve a special mention. Also shoutout to our host Alex who was so helpful with the menu and also helped us plan the rest of our trip and got us home safely in a can, highly recommend all round!
Amazing Thai-fusion spot with a great vibe, fun 80s music, and mostly, really flavorful, well accomplished dishes. The fried chicken and pork belly are absolute must-tries. Service is stellar, prices are fair, and the whole experience feels like a hidden gem worth discovering.
We made a reservation with and the food was to die for. I highly recommend Asian Bodega. Everything from the fried chicken to the pad see ew are so delicious. The atmosphere is vibrant.
Asian Bodega was absolutely delicious! I came here with a friend for an early dinner, and we were so glad the seating was indoors—it saved us from the hungry mosquitoes outside. We enjoyed wine, champagne, crab fried rice, Southern Thai fried chicken, a miso salad, and the coconut brownie surprise. Everything was phenomenal! The flavors were bold and well-balanced, and each dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The staff was fantastic (I wish I had gotten our server’s name—he was great!). I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

The menu rotates so check online for updates and events. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. While it's got wok hay, the authenticity is still tourist level. We ordered crab fried rice (to me it's comparable to Thai Express fast food), Chiang Mai wontons (highly recommend) and Tom Yum fries (think mama noodle seasoning on fries) and a Thai tea that never came but wasn't charged for it. I don't think it's worth going out of the way for but if you want decent asian food they can deliver some flavor.
One of the best Asian food I had. Our waiter was confused. Staff overall made up for him.
Came here for a light meal as part of an evening of different stops and had a wonderful array of different small plates. The kitchen here is very good at what they do and did a wonderful job with every dish. There was a limited amount of options for large portions for vegans, but plenty of small plates and a delicious massaman curry medium plate that will fill you up. This was probably the most creative and delicious take on edamame we have ever had. Highly highly recommend it. My one complaint was our waiter being a bit pushy about us (4 people) ordering more food despite us telling him 2 times we had already stopped and ate else where and we were content with what we ordered (which 4 small plates and a medium was just right).

1. It seemed like there was a photoshoot happening, and all the servers were distracted by it. 2. Ordered a lemonade that never arrived. 3. Asked for noodles without pork but was served with it and then once told without it, but both were added to the bill. The error was corrected when we pointed it out. 4. So many mosquitos bit our legs that it ruined the experience, and we just wanted to leave + no air conditioning. 5. The food was good nonetheless.

I feel it’s important to share this experience clearly for future diners. I became extremely ill immediately after dining at Asian Bodega. I started feeling intense nausea while still at the restaurant and we had to pack our food to go. Once I returned, I experienced repeated vomiting for several hours and remained unwell the following day. This was the only meal I had consumed that day. Two items in particular raised serious concerns: the beef salad contained pieces of beef that appeared undercooked, and the crab fried rice had an off taste and smell compared to what would be expected of fresh seafood. Given the timing and severity of my symptoms, I strongly believe the food contributed to my illness. What was most disappointing was the restaurant’s response. Instead of acknowledging this possibility, they shifted accountability and stated it was “most likely not” from their restaurant, attributing it to general stomach bugs in Mexico. While they offered a return visit with complimentary items, I do not feel comfortable risking my health by eating there again after already experiencing food poisoning once. After reviewing other feedback, I also noticed multiple guests describing similar food poisoning experiences that appear to have gone unaddressed, which is deeply concerning and suggests this is not an isolated incident. A more responsible and considerate approach would have been to take genuine accountability and offer a resolution that prioritised customer safety. Unfortunately, I felt my experience was minimized rather than taken seriously.
