Hands down best kalbijjim from a restaurant and I crave it from time to time. This second time we got the premium kalbijjim (large, mild, cheese) and it was intense, flavorful, unbelievably good. The short rib meat was so tender. Each bite was bursting with flavor. Whenever we come back to SF, we will come once again!

I have been here for a couple of times in the last few years and this place is legit for kalbijjim. I came here on a Friday around 545PM for two people. As I arrived, the small tables for two people were filling up very quickly. Luckily I got seated right away. After 6PM, you need to wait in line, so I highly suggest to come here 5 to 6 PM. Yes it is early for dinner unless you don't mind to wait. To me, I hate waiting. Lol. I ordered B2 which was Premium Kalbijjim with regular size. This portion definitely can fill up more than 2 people. I also added extra rice cake and cheese. Both add-ons were 11 bucks. The cheese itself seemed to be worth it, but not for the extra rice cake. I counted the total and it was like 10 pcs, so basically a handful. The short rib was well tender and cooked. The services were on point and efficient. As soon as we were done, we paid and left because I didn't want others to wait too long. I suggest you do the same and don't sit and chat after you finished eating. It's a common courtesy. I also recommend to park at the Jtown plaza because street parking spaces are limited due to high volume of cars. I definitely come back to try other food on the menu like Seolleong Tang and Mandu Guk. Big fan. Keep up the good work!

Came with a group of friends for dinner. Make sure to check the wait time ahead, it can get really busy! Servers come quickly to take your orders and the food comes just as fast. Had the Kalbitang which was fantastic, hot and full of flavour. The sides are very tasty as well, you'll be full from everything there. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you like Korean food!

one of the best places in the world. I've been to many Korean restaurants in different countries, but this one doesn't compare to others. their signature dish is simply to die for. The meat was divinely delicious and melted in your mouth. We ordered a portion for two, it was big for us and we started sweating with ourselves. the staff is very friendly. The dish already included rice and there were compliments from the restaurant. They also provided free water.

Authentic Korean cuisine but not impressive to be honest. Foods were good except for the kimchi not many choices as other Korean restaurants, and tasted not good. Quick service but maybe too quick, felt like they pushed you to leave after you done your meals. Prepared to long queue because they don’t accept the reservation. We never come back again because of really long wait and unfriendly service.

I stopped by here with my partner on a Sunday during the late afternoon. Parking is somewhat difficult to find in Japantown but the parking garage across the street is a good spot. There was no wait for a table at this time either since it wasn't peak meal time. The food was fine and the drinks were good. They don't give you as many appetizers as their San Mateo location though - we got 3 plates here and 6 in San Mateo.

Don't believe the menu, it's enough food for 4 people haha It's delicious, the one thing I would do different is get the good meat since the cheapest option has a lot of hard to chew parts.

A couple friends recommended this place and decided to visit with my family. It was their first time trying kalbijjim. We got the large one with extra cheese as well as some mandu and it was enough for the four of us. It was very tasty and well served and reminded me of the one I had when I was living in Korea. We ended up paying around 130 bucks for the four of us.

I recently visited this spot with my friends, and we decided to try the Braised Beef Rib and the Beef Brisket Soup. Honestly, I found the soup to be a bit bland for my taste. However, I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place. It was bustling with people, and the food was quite good. The service was excellent as well, with friendly staff who made our experience enjoyable.

Food was great — especially the kalbijjim. Banchan were also very good. However, on a Friday at 6:30pm we waited about two hours total (one hour online + one hour at the door, even with preorder). Then we were asked to leave after 40–50 minutes of being seated, which felt rushed. Delicious food, but the timing and service made it a frustrating experience.

I’ve gone tomorrow Daeho a bunch of time and my last trip there was really did me in. I’m probably not going back to this location because it’s really gone downhill. The only thing good was we were seated immediately during a Thursday night dinner. After that everything was really lackluster. Sure it’s hustling and bustling with people but after ordering a large kalbijim with squid and extra meat, cheese and glass noodles that should have been more than enough for 3 we waited a long time for our food. Our side dishes came out quick along with our rice. The food didn’t come out for about 20 mins so our rice was cold by the time we started eating. They were trying to be efficient but timing was way off. When our kalbijjim arrived it was full of potatoes and a sad amount of meat was in our pot that should have had extra meat. The whole dish was over sauced and salty and really not enjoyable. I tried to flag someone down but they were all so busy hey just kept saying one minute or be back. I gave up. I was so disappointed that I couldn’t wait to leave. I have been to Daeho numerous times and even to the San Mateo location. I didn’t think it could have been so bad. Time to move on. Others can continue enjoying Daeho but I’ll go to other locations and restaurants who offer the same but at better quality and service. Posted the video of our meal where looks can be deceiving. Piled high with veggies under there. Squid rings and a few pieces of beef, no bones included.

Came here for dinner at 5, within 30 minutes they tried to make us pay and leave while we were still eating, asked us if we wanted boxes when all our food were barely eaten, asked us twice more whether we are done after we barely even sit for an hour. Then brought our check without us even asking. I then asked how long can dine in customer eat in their restaurant and they said they are very busy. I told them we should be able to eat for at least an hour in peace if we are dining in. If you want a peaceful dining experience and not be constantly asked to leave, go somewhere else.

Tried to go with a couple of friends last Friday. We arrived by 7:15 and they told us the waiting time was 45 minutes. As the 45 minutes passed we got a text message saying that table was ready; then the waitress said she wanted to know if we were still around… another 50 minutes passed and they didn’t even tell us what was going on, after multiple times asking they gave us a menu and told us “you have to order now, and you may be seated in 30 more minutes” I don’t know why they play like that, I’d rather if they tell me: “waiting list is 2 hours” then I could decide, but playing with customers time is the worst. Definitely not coming back ever, and not recommend to any people I know, sad because the food is good.
