Avis sur Espresso 77 Albans
I love this coffee shop. Such a great place to meet with friends . Great coffee in the morning, and an awesome place for a beer or glass of wine later in the day. On weekends there's live musician and art expos. Friendly service and a really welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!
I stop by here all the time and it’s always a great experience. The coffee is awesome, the food is fresh and tasty, and they even have really good beer/wine if I want something a little stronger. The staff is super friendly and it’s just one of those spots that always feels easy and welcoming.
this is a favorite local coffee shop. They have live music, they sell art and merchandise from local artists and the atmosphere is so cozy.. I rarely eat here but last night I had a Pastrami sandwich and it was great. The Prosecco and the cocktails are great also. Best part - there is an outdoor area.
The first snow falls this year. The weather is cold. I miss warm soup. Such is the atmosphere of this cafe. A place that comes to mind when you want to warm up in cold weather. The friendly staff and simple but not neglectful food. This brunch cafe is highly recommended to those visiting Jackson Heights. I ordered the soup of the day and grilled cheese sandwich combo. A simple salad is also served. I was very satisfied with the mushroom-flavored soup and the cheese sandwich with tomatoes. But above all, let's not forget that the coffee is as delicious as the name of this cafe, right?
I have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, they have some great healthy options at fairly reasonable prices, on the other, what is up with that laptop policy???? The staff can be nice, but I’ve also been here on days where they were really rude. They have some great drinks, and I really like the chicken spinach feta wrap. The chicken is nice and juicy, and the spinach adds a kind of soft element to the sandwich which is really nice. I wish there was more feta in the wrap because it isn’t an overwhelming flavor so it’s not that present in the wrap. I would come here more often if it weren’t for the fact that a cafés main purpose is to work at. The bagels here are also kind of overpriced.
Nothing like a stroll around the old neighborhood. Service and seating were good. It can get packed here apparently. First time here today after all these years of living here. Or around hehe. Wasn't in the mood for coffee, wanted something refreshing and fruity. I got the 16 oz peach lemonade. Very fairly priced which I was surprised about. It can get overstimulating quickly if you're like me. Glad we got it to go.
Came to Expresso 77 Saturday night to see my friend Jon Christopher Allen perform in this quaint and comfy coffee shoppe…that is way more than coffee! A wall of windows that bring the outdoor in. The weather was great. The folks are friendly. An overall good time. Posting this review to share my experience and boost local businesses that survived the pandemic and still serve the community.
It’s a real shame because I’ve been told about this place for years. Only been here a couple of times until recently. Now I come more frequently and the shorter Hispanic woman with glasses continues to be rude and dismissive. Just turns off the whole relaxing vibe of the place. Love the atmosphere and the food is very good. I’d love to rate it higher.
Not a work friendly cafe at all. Staff greets you with attitude, outlets are off limits and laptops are only allowed at a single middle table with no plugs. If you're looking for a welcoming place to sit, work and enjoy your coffee, this isn't it.
Apparently they have a weekend policy that you can’t use laptops, which is insane to me I’ve never been to a cafe that dictates what devices I’m allowed to use. I asked whether or not it was related to how long people stay since the cashier told me the policy is in place due to the business of the weekends. I asked her if I could use my laptop for an hour and she told me I couldn’t use it no matter what, but my phone was allowed. I just think this is such a ridiculous rule, since when do coffee shops tell people what devices are allowed for use or not. I could overstay my welcome by just sitting on my phone since those are the rules. I wanted to support a local coffee shop and get some work done but unfortunately had to go to the Starbucks next door since I got kicked out.
I went to this coffee shop hoping to enjoy a coffee and get some work done. After I ordered, I was told I couldn’t sit at a table with an outlet or charge my laptop—so I was shoved into the middle table with no charger, in the spot where laptop users usually gather. Nothing about this policy was mentioned beforehand; it was sprung on me after I had already preferred my spot. If you enjoy overpriced coffee and being micromanaged about where and how you sit, this is your place. Otherwise, go somewhere that actually lets customers enjoy their coffee without random restrictions. not to mention when i complied and kindly asked the worker if i could sit in the center table but just leave my laptop charging she suddenly said we don’t allow people to use our outlets . when yesterday i had come without a laptop charging my phone there. DO NOT RECOMMEND
It’s my first time here. I really like the vibes and every thing. I live close by and would like to visit for long time. Everything looks go well. Until I ask for a paper cup for water for my dog. The cashier wear glasses and hijap look to me so aggressive and rude. I don’t want to use your regular cup for my dog.it’s not appropiate to others. The Cashier girl has so bad attitude. Very disappointed
It looks like a vibe from the outside, but it’s not as inviting when you’re met with the poor customer service. Their rewards system is inconsistent when paying cash. They have a strict laptop policy that is hardly visible and they are super agro when, heaven forbid, you miss the sign and whip out your laptop. I’ve returned a few times to give them a fair shot, but regretted it every time. From the cashier to the management, service is uncomfortable. I really wanted to support my local coffee shop, but rather go around the corner or an extra block for way better service, good drink, and way better prices.
The cafe has great atmosphere and decent food/coffee, but they have a very weird policy toward remote workers. Essentially if you have a laptop you are required to sit at a table that is in the middle of the cafe, even if the rest of the cafe is empty. This was my first time here and when I sat down and opened my computer the staff treated me like a criminal. I understand that people who are studying or working can sit there for hours, but in that case you can make a policy where those people have to make a purchase every hour or every two hours, or you can set a time limit so to avoid over crowding. Or you can allow it during week days but limit it during weekends or after working hours. There’s a million ways to facilitate a friendly environment to remote workers while also running your cafe business for your customers. We’re silent, we have our headphones in, and we’re not disturbing anyone. Some us are looking for jobs, some of us are studying for exams. It’s not fair for people to have to sit in the middle of the cafe on your table of shame just because they want to work or study. Maybe we prefer privacy and don’t want everyone to see our screen, maybe we have sensitive or confidential information. At least warn me that laptops are not allowed before you take my order, watch me sit down, and then kick me out. That’s the bare minimum you can do… You need to do better…
