Avis sur Lhasa Fast Food Albans
I come here often and most of the time the food is great! Chive momo being one of my favorite things to order along with their cold noodle. The server is also very nice and works hard as she’s usually the only one, so tip well! Those complaining about her facial expressions or whatever are just entitled. Try working in service industry for a week and find out. 🙄
Come here for Momos, steamed or fried! They're soft and juicy, and the sauce they come with is very spicy. I love the hand pulled noodles as well though I wish the accompanying elements were better cooked. I think the non-soup noodle dishes might be the way to go here, aside from the Momos.
Lhasa Fast Food is the perfect antidote to a dreary day. Their warm, inviting atmosphere creates a cozy escape from the cold. The food is absolutely fantastic! The chicken momo, lamb thenthuk, and beef chili are must-tries. This is my go to place whenever I am craving for momo. I was pleasantly surprised to find halal meat options, which is great for the neighborhood. To top it off, they offer a decent selection of beer and cocktails. If you're craving authentic Nepali cuisine, this is my spot. Highly recommended! IG 📸 @adventureofourlifetime
The best family-run business with the friendliest owner and delicious food! We loved everything we ordered and was even given tea samples! It was the first time we had Tibetan dishes, and we will definitely be back for more. They even took the time to explain the dishes and made our experience even better. Special thanks to the chef-owner!
We got a bunch of things through Door Dash so I can’t comment on service or atmosphere. The mo mos were very nice, basically steamed dumplings. Being mostly a veggie person I got the Bok Choy and broccoli sautees which were very decent. My favorite was the veg thenthuk; absolutely delicious, esp. with the hot sauce that came with the meal.
We loved the delicious Tibetan food. It's a limited menu, but there's a variety of appetizers, soups, or mains to choose from. Most are reasonably priced. They also serve drinks. Some more decor/ ambience and attentiveness from waitress could have been nice. We will recommend it to others who enjoy spicy food.
Embarking on a gastronomic journey at this Nepali and Tibetan restaurant was an unforgettable experience. This establishment isn't just about dumplings or momos; it's a culinary fusion masterpiece. The blend of flavors in every dish is nothing short of exceptional, creating a delightful symphony for the taste buds. The unique mix of Nepali and Tibetan influences sets the restaurant apart, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. What truly stood out was the carefully crafted Long Island Tea—the crown jewel of the beverage selection. This iconic cocktail was a revelation, perfectly complementing the diverse menu. Sipping on this expertly mixed concoction elevated the entire meal, turning it into a sensory adventure. The restaurant's commitment to delivering not just a meal but a cultural and culinary journey makes it a standout destination. From the first bite to the last sip, every moment at this Nepali and Tibetan gem tells a story of culinary excellence and a celebration of diverse flavors. It's more than a restaurant; it's an immersion into a world of culinary artistry.
Service is friendly and basically prompt. I loved the beef and chive momos; it’s the best momos I’ve had in New York City and I’ve tried a lot in Jackson Heights and Woodside. I thought their laping was a bit dull/bland, but because their service was good and their momos were good, I’ll definitely come back again to try other dishes. The thukpa was tasteless…save yourself more than $10! It was very little glass noodles and seemed like a premade soup from a package….
Pretty good tibetan restaurant but wish they would be more consistent. I have been getting same dishes almost every two weeks, but they taste differently. I love when the chili chicken is very crispy I changed my rating to 2 stars. I was so disappointed with the glass noodle soup i got today. it was literally water with white noodles, no spices and one tofu and bokchoy in it. No ear mushrooms, peppers, potatoes. Terrible!
Lhasa Fast Food has potential, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. Since it’s a Tibetan restaurant, we were especially looking forward to the dumplings, but they were not good at all, which was a letdown. The chili chicken was also poorly done and lacked flavor. The soup was supposed to be brought out first, but when it finally arrived, it was extremely bland and didn’t add much to the meal. On a more positive note, the chicken fried rice was pretty good, and the chicken chowmein was enjoyable. However, the beef fried rice wasn’t great and felt underwhelming. Overall, a few items were decent, but many of the key dishes missed the mark. With better consistency and more attention to flavor, this place could improve.
The server was kind of arrogant..not audibly, but the way they placed the dish felt like throwing away a book. I was very unsatisfied. I went there few days ago, and they added a 20% tip, which was $4, without my consent. It’s not about the money, but about consent and basic manners. I went with my girlfriend last time and the service charge was reasonable, but the next time, with the same order, the service charge was much higher even though I ordered the same dish and spent the same amount of time there. The food is good, but the waitress could have been a little more pleasant. Her expressions made us feel very unwelcome every single time.
