Came here on a rainy Saturday night and somehow my partner and I were the only ones in here. It was truly spectacular and we can’t wait to add this to our regular neighborhood rotation! I’ve eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants and I’ve never seen a menu as unique as this one. It is traditional Italian food from Naples - very fresh, flavorful, and rich. We each got a glass of Chianti and Nero D’avola wines and started off with the Tris Di Frittatine which were absolutely magnificent. Paying homage to the strong street food culture of Naples, these were fried balls of different pastas and oh my goodness they were delicious. I’ll definitely be ordering those as a snack for takeout! We each got pastas as our mains and split them and they were absolutely fantastic. I got the Pasta Patate E Pravola which was very rich and comforting. I loved that it came with different pasta shapes and nice chunks of smoked provolone. Also served in a really fun tin dish that came with a cheese grater as a top - highly recommend! I ended up taking some home for leftovers. My partner got the Ziti Alla Genovese and this was also incredible. He said it’s now his favorite pasta. The chunks of beef were slow cooked to perfection, and everything melted in my mouth. He finished every last bite. Shout out to Pietro for excellent service all night. This spot is truly a gem and would not recommend it enough. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Delicious food, incredible service, fairly priced. Just opened a couple months ago, don't sleep on experiencing this place!

The food is truly exceptional and reasonably priced. We’ve been twice in a couple weeks. The menu and preparation is “Italy” Italian and unlike other spots in the neighborhood. The fritto misto, trofie with pistachio cream and burrata, and the tris di pesce are tops. This place is honestly better than it needs to be. Back patio is lovely, too.
From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the attention to detail was impeccable.
In a neighborhood where Italian food isn't quite scarce, our meal at N'ata Storia stood out. N'ata Storia specializes in Neapolitan (Naples-based) dishes, and they have some really distinctive (and tasty) I haven't encountered on other Brooklyn menus. The pasta e patate (pasta in a cheesy potato-y sauce with guanciale mixed in) was a standout (and filling!), as were the cacio balls (think arancini but thinner exterior and stuffed with a gooey sharp cheese). Lots of seafood options on the menu too: mussels (which we ordered; also good), octopus salad, seafood pastas, etc. Good service too. Eager to go back and try more!
Really enjoyed my meal at n’ata storia. Arancini, mozzarella in carrozza, and cacio e pepe were all excellent. Lovely ambiance as well. Highly recommend!
Fantastic Italian meal - my wife and I enjoyed the mozz and arancini and two pastas and couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend - ask for petey (pietro)
Stopped in for desserts. Warm and welcoming vibe. Delicious made to order sorbet. Above average affogato. Thumbs up all around.
Authentic Southern Italian food, without having to pay for the flight to the mother land. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
A wonderful, authentic restaurant with the kindest staff and delicious food! Feels like we were transported to Italy.
A very tasty and authentic Italian restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly, felt like I was back in Italy.
This new Neapolitan restaurant in Brooklyn is a true delight. The dishes are full of authentic flavors, from rich, savory sauces to perfectly cooked seafood and meats. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you're looking for great Italian food with a genuine vibe, this place is definitely worth checking out!
This place is on the smaller side but really cute and cozy. I love the decor. It’s very clean, great atmosphere!! The food was delicious! I had the salmon and it was really good! The lasagna was the icing on the cake. My kids who are picky eaters loved it as well! You will not be disappointed. Service was great and wait time was reasonable. If we’re ever in the area we would definitely go back.
Delicious Italian food. I used to go to the restaurant that was previously at this address, so when it closed I was happy to see this new spot take its place. The waiter was really kind and attentive. Bread and olive oil was provided while you wait which is always a plus. I had gnocchi sorrentina, which was so amazing and I can't wait to go back to try other things!
We love this place and are so glad they took over the space, because it is lovely. We especially like the backyard, it's one of the prettier ones that we know about in Brooklyn. Maybe most importantly, though, this is the RARE Italian place that has healthy options on the menu. We had the fish trio dish (Tris di Pesce) and the pasta with clams. Both were perfect. Also somewhat rare was getting the calamari grilled instead of fried. I'm pretty sure they have both, but mine was grilled and I loved it. Lastly, the are a very young and sweet staff that enjoy their jobs and want to make you happy! PS, my girlfriend and I are both Italian-American, go often to Italy, and grew up eating Italian food, so we're pretty picky. This place does NOT disappoint!
There are countless excellent Italian restaurants in this neighborhood — N'ata Storia is a standout. Food is exceptional (the off-menu paccheri Nerano is superb) and service is affable and friendly. A clear contender for one of the best spots on Smith.
Ate dinner here last night with a friend. We were regular patrons of Mama Capri and were hoping for equally good Italian. N’ata Storia is great! We had caprese salad (amazing burrata), fritto misto (very light and flavorful — this was my favorite dish), linguini with clams (a nice amount of clams and a BIG plate of pasta) and tiramisu (light, creamy and delicious). The owner is super friendly and his staff were helpful and accommodating. I ate too quickly to take a picture for this review!

The pasta is just not up to the mark. One word: boring. Why do Italian restaurants like this seem improvised and have a menu that they want to beguile us Americans? I would say NO.
