I had a good time for breakfast the only issue was the length of time that’s was because it was busy, overall I had a good time.
Super friendly service that made room for the five of us on a busy Saturday morning. Everyone had delicious breakfasts and I went with the perfect old school cheeseburger. Highly recommend. This is why people love NY diners!
Been there two years ago during my NY trip. Food was delicious and at a reasonable price. Staff were polite and interested in where I was from & down for a quick chat even though it was a busy morning. The manager even gifted me and my wife two caps that I’ve been keeping in my wardrobe to this date. Thank you! Will be back as soon as I’m back in BKLN one day.
A wonderful breakfast for my birthday. I was very happy with the service, and how quickly the food came to us. The staff is attentive and I never had to ask for a refill on coffee. The food was so good and there is a lot of variation on the menu!
Food was alright, just your average diner food; lacked a bit of seasoning (specifically referring to eggs and french fries) but could be easily remedied with the salt and pepper on the table. I got the pancakes and scrambled eggs which was alright however, the highlight of my order was the hot chocolate. When I went in it was empty aside from 1 table who I believed had already ordered their food. It took somewhere close to 10 mins for a waitress to come to our table to get our drink order, even though when we sat someone came over to give us menus which I think is a decent time to ask about drinks. After we came in 3 more tables of two came in but service was slow. I would probably come here again.
I found myself walking in this neighborhood on a beautiful afternoon and wanted a bite. Coffee shop are words that make me think of comfort food. So I stopped and was greeted by a friendly server and received my food rather quickly and was not disappointed. Who can go wrong with a burger right??? The chipotle bacon cheeseburger made me satisfied and my rice pudding for dessert put the cherry on top. If you find yourself in need of a nosh or just happen by ,make Cobble Hill Coffee Shop your stop.
Bustling neighborhood dinner. Good service, but super busy. The food is fresh, standard diner fare.
I never give reviews but this would be a disservice to the establishment and future patrons. Worse service ever! Not interested in serving me not sure if it was because I was the only African American in the establishment but after being ignored for 20 mins and watching everyone else be served I decided to give a one star review to this establishment. Hopefully all people are treated as valued customers going forward if you get ignored or mistreated in this establishment please leave a review, only way to change this behavior is accountability. If you see something say something
I tried to make an order for delivery and I was told that nobody will deliver my order unless I tip them. When I asked for the manager they hung up on me then when I recalled them they said I had the wrong store . There was another time I went In person and they made me wait 30 minutes (no they weren’t busy) just to take my order because the time before I didn’t tip. This isn’t the first time that they had acted line vultures trying to get a tip. I tip in cash only and if I don’t have cash that day I will tip next time and every time they follow me outside the restaurant asking for a tip. The 2 girls who work the day shifts have disgusting attitudes and it would’ve been a whole lot better if those girls were replaced by people who don’t make bias decisions based on a tip.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience here - in terms of the food quality, hidden costs, and treatment of my service animal. I have eaten here twice, to give them the benefit of the doubt. Both times they asked if my dog is a service animal, which I confirm. The first time I ordered an egg sandwich, which is listed as $4 on the menu. I added a bagel instead of the roll, and cheese. Nothing else. The total cost of the sandwich when I paid at the counter was $15, but I paid and didn't ask questions. I returned next time, ordered another egg sandwich, this time on a wrap (which is listed as $1.25 extra) and with cheese and turkey bacon. The cost of cheese and turkey bacon isn't listed. When I paid for my meal, the cost of the sandwich was listed as $12. I asked how it went from $4 to $12, they listed the ingredients, but not the individual costs (which tripled the cost of the sandwich). I was polite, paid in cash, and tipped 20%. Yet as I'm paying, the manager asks "is your dog really a service animal? Because I know service animals and they don't beg for food." She hopped up when she saw food coming, but did nothing else. He seemed defensive because he was inventing food costs, and instead of owning up to it, criticized my service animal. Very disappointed by this behavior, which is unethical and unprofessional. To top it off, the food is passable at best.
The worst diner in America. Since the owner stopped going, this place has gotten so bad. Dine at your own risk.
we ordered pick up since we live nearby. do not recommend. i ordered a chicken caesar wrap with the homemade potato chips. the wrap was so soggy i was unable to pick up the sandwich, it completely ripped and fell apart. the lettuce was also soggy and warm. they also gave me french fries instead of chips. waste of 17$.
