Loud fun great entertainment food was good Went on a thursday night week after valentine’s day so it wasnt packed. This place def good for group dining. Go for the experience I didnt dare dance on the tables or chairs but it was fun to sing along. Staff is very attentive w us. Loved it Dinner: shared bruschetta, lasagna and chicken parm linguine (a lil surprised they didn’t give bread) Drinks: Moscato wine and coffee For dessert we shared chocolate cake w ice cream
We had a private reservation for the entire restaurant. Each dish they brought out was amazing. The singing from Jorge was fantastic and such a good time. Salad was good. Spaghetti with meatballs was good chicken Parm was good. Definitely would recommend and go back.
This is a fantastic restaurant! Went to Puglia's on Sunday January 18th for an early 5pm dinner with a group of 18 people. Made reservations about 6 weeks in advance. When we walked in 15 minutes early at 4:45 our tables were ready and the staff kindly welcomed us and sat us! Truly nice, efficient, and smart people are working there! (BTW - a little tip...eating before restaurants typically get busy can make life a lot easier if you have a group. It also means restaurants might be able to seat you a little early if you show up on a cold and snowy day like we did.) We all enjoyed an amazing meal! We loved the garlic bread, salad, chicken marsala, chicken parm, and baked rigatoni that we had! I would go back to this restaurant in a minute if I didn't live in Miami! And next time I am in NYC I am going back!! This place has been around for 107 years! That tells you they've been doing this right for a very long time!
**GET THE HOUSE CALAMARI!! Been going to Puglia since I was probably 10 years old and was able to celebrate my engagement here! It's a lively place with decent prices and I am never disappointed by the food quality here. I always get a House Calamari which is spicy, sweet and crispy. We also get two bottles of the red and white House wine and mix them together. We make Puglia our family tradition and go at least 1-2x a year since we always have a great experience.
Probably one of the best times I have had in recent memory. The food was fantastic, the Atmosphere lively and fun, the service EXCELLENT. We will be returning again real soon. EVERYONE in our group of 7 had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the meal. Comes with the highest of recommendations if you like a loud, lively, fun crowd this is the ONLY place in NY to get it authentically.
Have been coming to Pugia's since 1987. Always a great time. Jorge & Debbie sing, the food is good, and Joey (the owner) always takes great care of us. Joey treats us like family. We lived in NYC for 18 years and Puglia's was our favorite place to eat. Don't forget to "Shake Your Napkin"!!!!! Hip Hip Jorge!!
The lively ambience with live music made for a fun and festive evening. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the great experience. We opted for the prix fixe menu, served family style, paired with wine, and every dish was excellent. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and perfect for sharing. As a bonus, if you pay cash, you get a 5% discount, which was a nice perk. Highly recommend for a memorable night out with friends or family!
I had such a blast for my friends birthday. There was tons of food: pasta, salad, bread, appetizers and unlimited red & white wine for $54 a person a very good deal. The wine is probably watered down lol! But the atmosphere felt like my time in Naples, everyone was singing and having fun. Not for people who want peace & quiet! Fun for tourist and locals.
Puglia was a fantastic restaurant and a great meal! My wife and I wanted to eat in Little Italy during our trip, and Puglia sounded like a perfect fit for what we wanted to experience. The restaurant itself was clean, the staff was courteous, and the food was great! This is a place I could see myself going back to during future NYC visits, for sure!
I have been coming here since I was a little girl. Lots of changes. Unfortunately we didn’t have reservations but they were able to give us a seat in the back. We arrived at 6:20pm on a Friday and was told we would have to leave by 7:45 to accommodate their next reservation. Which was fine. The sangria was delicious. Sweet and refreshing. The food was delicious. Never felt rushed. All the plates going to different tables looked amazing. I am planning to go back to try the spaghetti. I only wished that we could have been part of the singing and show they gave. We could hear it but couldn’t see it.
We did a four day trip to New York and I have to say that this was the highlight of our trip. We just showed up and so ended up sitting outside but it didn't matter. The food was so good. We did the prefixed menu with wine for $52.95 and they brought out five courses. Each course had huge portions and every bite of every course was perfection. I am not sure that I have ever had a better meal anywhere. If I ever go back to New York it will be for this restaurant. I love Italian food and this place did not disappoint. Just fabulous!

Puglia serves very good food that's the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, the service and atmosphere were both just average and didn't match the quality of the cuisine. Worth visiting for the food, but don't expect much from the setting or staff.
Puglia has such a great vibe—super lively and perfect for group dinners. Great ambiance! We went with the prix fixe party menu for a group of 10, which included unlimited wine, beer, soda, and coffee served in pitchers and bottles for a mostly self served. The food is served family style. The portions were decent, though maybe a bit tight for a group of 10. Service was definitely on the slower side. We came on a Wednesday night, it was surprisingly busy. The pacing of the meal felt rushed, with multiple dishes coming out back to back. Just as I started serving myself one plate, another would show up… and then another… Definitely no time to pace yourself or digest… The garlic bread and baked clams were really good! The pasta and the rest of the dishes were just OK, meh. Nothing memorable. **Be sure to call ahead for reservations—DMs go unanswered!

We chose Puglia to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and left extremely disappointed by the overall experience and management’s handling of basic expectations. We made our reservation well over a month in advance and were explicitly told by management that our party would be seated in the main dining area. Upon arrival, we were instead placed in a separate room directly next to a large table of children — not at all the atmosphere we were promised or appropriate for a group of nearly 30-year-old adults who were celebrating with drinks. When we raised this issue politely, staff refused to move us and provided inconsistent explanations that directly contradicted what had been promised at the time of booking. There was no accountability or meaningful attempt to resolve the situation. Additionally, we were told ahead of time that sangria would be included as part of the fixed, family-style dining package. Once we arrived, we were informed that this was not actually included, despite being previously communicated otherwise. The most off-putting part of the evening, however, was being rushed out. We were repeatedly prompted to pay our tab despite only being seated for a short time. At one point, a staff member walked through the dining area tapping his watch and directly told us we needed to hurry because other parties were arriving. This was unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome and disposable. For a restaurant that markets itself as a celebratory, family-style dining experience, this level of disorganization, broken promises, and overt rudeness was unacceptable — especially for a birthday dinner planned far in advance. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning, and we will be sure to share this experience with others so they can make an informed decision before booking.
In NYC 45 years ago and went with my cousin and her friends. The experience was wonderful. A few year ago, I was NYC staying at a nice boutique hotel nearby and thought it would fun to have a nice dinner at the place I remembered. They had no availability and was told to get a reservation a few months in advance. Earlier this year, I was going to be in NYC with my nieces, so I repeatedly called to get a reservation. The first time I got through, the person taking reservations was not available, but they took my number and would call back. Never happened. So, about a month before our trip, I finally got through again. It took repeated unanswered call. I guess they do not need to respond or care. Made the reservation and showed up on time. The place has two rooms. They stuck us clear in the back of the second room. Waited over half an hour for anyone offered us anything. Food came luke warm and carelessly prepared, like from a buffet line. Entertainment began in the other main room. Then when they did their thing in the back room, it was shorter and obviously done with less enthusiasm. This place has run it's course. It was a BIG expense and a BIGGER disappointment. I recommend you spend your time, and money elsewhere. You will never see me there again.
Food was good, service was good as well. Everyone was nice. The music was wayyyy too loud. I was sat directly next to the speaker and in about 20 minutes or so of them playing, it gave me permanent hearing damage in my right ear. Asked them to turn it down initially but no dice. Eventually before they started back up I got them to turn it down. Please do not have the music that loud, everyone can hear it and you’re giving people long lasting damage to their ear drums.
