THE BEST THAI FOOD IN TOWN!!! Definitely goin back here asap! And the owner Pj good looking too! Very nice guy!
This is a favorite Thai food restaurant for my family and I. My favorite dish, the mango salmon! The salmon is delicious and fresh, cooked to perfection. You can’t go with their curry puffs and the papaya salad too. Honestly, any dish. The owners are sweethearts! Support a family owned restaurant by visiting Thaism. You absolutely won’t regret it.
Their menu offers consistently delicious options. Every worker makes the experience enjoyable. This restaurant earns its popularity. The dishes here need refinement. Tasty options without inflated prices; exactly right.
Great happy hour til 7 pm! Had the spicy thai basil and the Siam mule. The spice was perfect (spicy but not too much) mixed w the sweet of the drink. The atmosphere is so pleasant and the wait staff was amazing!
We came in for the lunch specials and the apps blew us away!! We got the curry puff, soup, wings, and salad. I think most places don't put much effort into their apps, but these came out piping hot and delicious! Even the salad was impressive. The sauce was not too concentrated, not too thick, not too thin, very nice aromatic peanut flavor. The mains were good, too. But we were really blown away by the attentiveness of the apps. Definitely thinking of coming back for the specials! Also the service was a bit lacking but she was the only server for lunch service on a weekday so it is understandable
tw / obliterated food what seemed like an unsuspecting lump of noodles, was one of the most scrum-diddly-umptious plate of drunken noodles i have ever happened upon among the decades of years i have lived. by seen by the embarrassing scrape marks you see on my violated plate, her in all her sweet and savory glory, didn't stand a chance. i do like my drunken flat noodles a little less soft/cooked, so they hold their flat noodle-like shape a little better, but the flavor and spice level were perfect ! i had chicken in it and usually when i go to thai places the chicken is slightly overcooked/tough but this one was super soft !! and the waitress(es) we had were super attentive and sweet :3 meow 😻🥰🥰👶👶👶💅💅🦄🦄❤️🧞♀️🦩🪽🪽🦩💅🪼🧚
I really enjoyed dining at Thaism in Carroll Gardens. Everything I had here was delicious and I loved the beautiful floral aesthetic and great customer service. Here’s what I had on the menu : The Mojito 🍹 The Margarita Coconut Fried Shrimp 🍤 Fried Calamari Crab Meat Pineapple Fried Rice 🍛🦀 (You can get it without egg as well) My favorite dish was the Crab Meat Pineapple Fried Rice. The crab meat was delicious, and the pineapple fried rice was cooked to perfection , I would highly recommend it. They also a great happy hour and lunch menu. It’s the perfect restaurant to have a nice lunch or dinner, I would highly recommend Thaism.
I love Thai and couldn't wait to try. When I arrived I found parking right in front. I walked into a cute restaurant. I was served by Silly and Pam, and they were nice! We started with the drinks of the long island, and my friend had a yummy looking cocktail. For our appetizers, I got the curry puffs, and my friend got the wings. It came out quickly, and the wings tasted good with the chili sauce. I enjoyed the curry puffs! For our meal, I got the hot sweet basil red snapper, and my friend got the drunken noodle with shrimp. Both of those dishes came out quickly, too! I really enjoyed my snapper, and my friend enjoyed her noodles. We lastly had dessert of the tiramisu cake and that was delicious! All in all, we had a really great experience!
I had a very nice experience dining here 😀. This thai spot was truly very cozy/comfortable, and the food was very good too! The servers were all so nice and friendly making me feel very welcomed. It was very interesting to learn that they have been in business for 10 years now and it seems like it is family owned & run restaurant. Some of their recipes are family recipes too, so I want to say that their food is authentic Thai food 👌. Their menu includes a good amount of the common thai dishes like pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, fried rice and the curries. I went and tried this stir-fry noodles that was a little different from what you usually see. I got the garlic noodles 😀, which was actually teally good. The flat noodles were cooked perfectly and it was very well flavored too! Other than that I also got their garlic fried Snapper, which is a fried whole Snapper fish paired with their family recipe garlic sauce 👌. This dish was also very flavorful and well-cooked. In addition to these two entrees dishes, I also got the crispy thai dumplings and the duck roll as appetizers. One thing that I wanted to try but didn't get the chance to was their crab fried rice! (Definitely coming back for it 🙈). Lastly, their drinks and desserts are pretty yummy too. They have some interesting cocktails like the siam mule, which is Vodka, Fresh Ginger, Coconut Cream, Basil Leaves, Lime. (We also tried another cocktail too... but I forgot the name of it 😅.) For dessert, we ended on the mango mousse cake. This cake was very light and creamy making a great dessert after a very filling meal 😆. Overall, I highly recommend trying this thai spot when deciding on food in this area 👌
Went to lunch at Thaism in Brooklyn and really liked the food and decor. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food came out in a timely manner! We ordered a lot of food, but the standout for me was the duck roll and hot sweet basil fried snapper. If you live, work or find yourself in the area this is great place to try! If stop in during the day ask about their lunch specials!
We went for Lunch and ordered from the lunch menu…I chose crispy duck 🦆 which was cooked to perfection,no funky smell, not very dry.Hubby chose drunken noodles which were good.Clear soup was flavorful, salad with peanut dressing was yumm!! Loved the dumplings and the Bangkok wings. Also the Siam Mule,Coconut vodka ginger Cocktail 🍸 (first one in the menu) was very strong for my taste but tasty nonetheless and pleasantly refreshing and unique..overall a great place for satisfying Thai .
Yesterday, I had a little shorter day and got out when the sun was still up. 😀. Gogglizing the area, Thaism Restaurant came up with some glowing reviews. Ok, who am I to resist. As my stomach was singing the “feed me already song”. I ordered the appetizer; Butterfly Coconut Shrimp 🦐. Me and my stomach were happier now so the Tom Kha followed. Now that we both felt better, came the big decision: what sould I order next? 🤔. Spicy Basil? Cashew Nut? Massaman Curry Avocado? The choices were many and each more tempting then the other 😵💫. Finally I made the bold move. Green Curry. 😁. I liked the dish, it was well balanced, loaded with actual Thai eggplants. Bamboo shoots and basil. The serving was generous. The servers were attentive, smiling, happy… I had a great meal 😊. . . .
My experience was so lovely !! The food was brilliant - so yummy ! The peanut curry ( w/ chicken ) was exquisite and also very spicy ! Which is important to note depending on your love for spicy food. The roti was so good, I could’ve ate like 10 of them ! The restaurant was also relatively accessible if you are someone with a disability. Overall, I had a really good experience here. Check it out if you’re near by. Even if it’s just for take-out.
I stopped by Thaism around 3:15pm on a Wednesday since I had business in the area. Their lunch special runs until 4pm, and it's a great deal! I was the only person in the restaurant the entire time. The ceiling is decked out with hanging orchids, which gives the space a nice aesthetic. The restaurant seats around 25 people, so it is on the smaller side. The in-person lunch special is $12.95, and it comes with soup or salad and one side. That is a rare steal these days! I ordered pad see ew with salad and the chive pancake. I enjoyed the peanut dressing that came with the salad, but I hate raw onions and had to pick those out. For the chive pancake, the inside of the pancake was a soggy texture. I prefer to have the crispy texture throughout. I also felt like the pancake needed more seasoning. I typically enjoy this without sauce but I needed the soy sauce because it was bland. The pad see ew sauce tasted like pad thai sauce instead of black bean sauce. My first bite was also heavy on the fish sauce! I like pad thai sauce, so I thought the dish was fine, but just a heads up for people who aren't a fan of fish sauce. I had my water refilled and got checked in on, so service was nice. Overall, there were some flavor misses that won't make this my favorite Thai restaurant in Brooklyn. However, I think the deal is great, so if you are in the area for lunch, check out Thaism!
