Omg so yummy. The staff was amazing and the live music... omg so awesome. Was not expecting that. Highly recommend this place. It's a great date night or hanging with friends

The deviled eggs as an appetizer were incredibly fragrant! The redfish with mashed potatoes and red sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and savory, truly delicious. The side dishes that came with the steak were surprisingly good, and the steak itself was tender and juicy. The whiskey had a hint of tiramisu flavor, which was quite unique! Another highlight was the dessert: vanilla ice cream with root beer. Overall, this is a hidden gem worth visiting countless times! The band that night was great, and the lead female singer was very energetic, creating a fantastic atmosphere!

This place was pretty incredible. We didn't have a reservation, but the 2nd and 3rd floors had open seating. Food and service were quick and tasty. The apps (deviled eggs and fried shrimp) were our favorite! Can't go wrong with their drinks either!

I felt the need to update and delete my prior review after speaking with the owner of Harvest over our last experience. We are understanding things happen and every opportunity is a learning experience for employees. Rick was gracious and Kind and invited my wife and I back personally. I am sure we will have a great experience and will continue to come to Harvest for years to come. This is how companies and businesses should treat their clients and customers. Thank you Rick.

Great restaurant, staff are super, very attentive. The food here is outstanding. There isn't anything on the menu that's not going to be good. Atmosphere is wonderful, tables are a little small upstairs, but we managed. Overall a great place to eat.

First time there, from California. My son took me. I was very impressed, from beginning to end. Our waiter explained every detail, all the specials. My grandkids tried the fried green tomatoes, very tasty. I really enjoyed the open kitchen. As I was taking photos, everyone was so very kind, as I was actually in their way. Thank you all for such a wonderful TEXAS time.

Texas size portions are so tasty. Beet salad is light and tasty. The chicken fried steak is very tasty.

Well, I have to say that I was impressed this time around! This place has great ambiance, service, food, and drinks! It really ticks all of the boxes. It was great that there was live entertainment and it wasn't loud. Acoustically, you will be able to have a normal conversation without raising your voice. You must have the crispy ribs, they are the best ribs I have had in TX. They may not be crispy, but they are impressively good. This was the first time I have ordered a Rib Eye that was cut up for me, but I can't say it was an issue. My 3 dirty Martinis were properly made (I am picky about drinks), and the deserts were not overly sweet, they were just right!!! If you are in McKinney TX or in the 70 mile radius (1 hr of driving is my threshold for dining out), you are doing yourself a disservice by not going to this place.

We celebrated our anniversary here and the food was really good, but the service was even better! One constructive feedback we’d like to provide: everything (minus the desserts) needed salt. Once we added salt, it helped bring out the wonderful farm fresh flavors of everything.

Perfect service from Jacob in the 3rd floor lounge, he was able to assist us with navigating the new spring menu, suggested cocktails and food pairings and was just an overall knowledgeable and friendly person. We started off with the Violet Beauregard and the earl lavender, both were delicious. Second round was a charred orange old fashioned and cactus rose. The old fashioned was good, but the orange peel had a thick layer of pith which let the drink slightly bitter. Cactus rose was a hit for someone who doesn't normally enjoy tequila. Pimento cheese was tasty if a little oily, and the flat iron steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare and super tender. Chicken fried steak was a hit, and a super generous portion, enough to bring home for a second meal. Dessert choices didn't really stand out to me, but I was offered my choice for my birthday, I opted for the cookies and milk, which were well prepared, but not particularly memorable. Jacob even had the kitchen write out happy birthday on my plate, a nice touch. Atmosphere is warm and cozy, perfect for hiding in a dark corner and listening to the live band. There were plenty of different age ranges throughout the lounge including a few kids and babies, but the music is fairly loud so don't plan on an intimate conversation. Would definitely return.

1) make a reservation! We came on a Friday evening/night and it was packed! I cannot begin to tell you how glad I was that we made a reservation! 2) *great* live music selection. Go on a Friday or Saturday for live music. We absolutely loved the guitarist that was there this past Friday night! 3) the food is all farm to table. And it is a very unique combination of different foods! Worth every penny

Harvest never disappoints! We had a wonderful brunch this past weekend, our first time. We have been here before for dinner. The burger my husband had was cooked to perfection, fries were too! Also tried spinach salad, catfish and saved space for dessert! Amazing spring cocktails Berry mule and a mezcal drink that we truly enjoyed! Thank you to Michael who was the most attentive, friendly and knowledgeable server. We’ll keep coming back and recommending to friends!

The BEST farm to table restaurant I have discovered so far. We went here for lunch on the weekends. It was very crowded so reservation is highly recommended. I love the atmosphere here so much. It's vintage, warm and cozy. Their decorations are gorgeous, especially the dried flowers on each tables with a little light bulb as well. The food was absolutely amazing 10/10 handdown. For appetizer, you should try the deviled eggs, so so good. We got a turkey sandwich with sweet potato soup and a Wagyu bavette steak (this come with a sunny side up egg and sweet potato hash). Everything is so fresh and delicious. Drinks are good (and strong). If you like Moscow mule like me, try the pomegranate mule, it's really good. And if you like tequila, try Crimson Pearl. Staffs are super friendly. Our server Dave is the best, he gave great recommendations on the food and drink. We definitely will come back for dinner sometime.

What a treat to visit Harvest at Masonic. We tried it to start my husband's bday celebration a few days early and it was an outstanding selection. Justin (and trainee Dustin) were very thoughtful and 'all about' serving us. The music was fun and personalized :), and the environment was spectacular! The star of the show was the food. Easy to tell everything is grown locally. We have great appreciation for the growers and the chef... everything was quite memorable and delicious!

Fantastic chicken salad sandwich and Cobb salad. Really nice atmosphere peppered with cool decorating touches. Great meal that I felt good about eating and not too expensive. Great farm to table location. Loved the chilled glass water bottle on the table for easy self-refills. The chicken biscuit starters were extra tasty, and the tomato salad was very well done.

I've been here twice within the last 2 weeks. Once for dinner with my husband and daughter and the other time for drinks on the third floor. My salad & the Bruja drink were really good. My husband said his filet was okay, but he's a steak snob. Tyler was our server on Thursday evening & he was amazing, very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Love the new place & decor. The live music is great. 3rd floor may become my new local spot for drinks & music.

Went here for our 2nd anniversary and enjoyed everything from the moment we walked in. Ate dinner on the second floor and then went upstairs for the live music. So fun!!

I highly recommend Harvest for their food. We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and this was our first time in the newer space since it is so hard to get a reservation. We came for my husband’s birthday and it was perfection from the minute we walked in. The host said happy birthday to him and then had us go upstairs to the live music area on the 3rd floor. We had to wait a few minutes but the manager took care of our cocktail order because of it. The music from the vinyl stripes was excellent. The waitress darnesha was kind attentive and super happy. What amazing customer service! He was also able to pick a dessert off the menu. Such an enjoyable evening. My husband’s day was made with the live music and great food. Thank you

First time here, loved it! Both aromatic cocktails were yummy, especially my Lovely Lenda, foamy and delish! Husband enjoyed perfectly cooked Red Fish while I indulged in my Pork Tenderloin. Needed to point out how crispy the fried okras were, couldn't stop eating them. We finished our meal with the Seedy Chocolate Cheesecake, it's smooth and rich, a must try. Our server was Anthony, he was friendly, knowledge and efficient. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend. Update on 7/30/22: Visited again for lunch. Husband ordered Red Fish again and its perfection was consistent. My Creole Pan-seared Shrimps was flavorful. I also liked my Peach Please very much. Service was as good as the first time. Keeping my 5 stars review.

Came here with my husband and elementary age son for our 10 year wedding anniversary to celebrate as a family. They were so kind, congratulated us, and made it a little more fun for our son. This was our first time at their new location which happened to also be their locations 1yr anniversary. All in all an amazing experience and environment.

Came here for birthday dinner for two: Service - shout out to Abbey for the recommendations and wonderful service. Fried shrimp appetizer - the batter was perfect and the cabbages had the right citrusy flavor Wagyu filet - crispy top and bottom. The meat just melts in your mouth. Duroc pork chop - tender with right amount of sweetness. I forget the name of the edible flower on top, but it was amazing with the pork chop. Apple brown betty - deconstructed apple pie with vanilla ice cream on top. If you are not a fan of overly sweet desserts, you have to try this. Just a hint of sweetness allows you to taste all the ingredients.

Finally ate at Harvest at the Masonic! The food was fantastic, so was the service. We even bumped into Rick himself. What a fun night! Menu is fun and reasonably priced. First floor is nice dining area. Second floor is event space. Third floor is more dining space but with live music and a bar. We will be back!

We ate at the bar downstairs. Cool ambiance, delicious food and drinks. Highlights include the beef skewers, pan roasted red fish, lemon goat cheese icebox pie, and the Nada Grenada. Everyone talks about the deviled eggs and they were good but didn't impress us like the other dishes did!

K

Amazing food… great staff… beautiful location. Can’t wait to go back for the upstairs section! Chicken fried steak was to die for… deviled eggs were not good and we added a lot of salt to make them better, just no flavor unfortunately.. But our fish, salads and steak were divine!

We had dinner there last night for the first time. Our friends raved about Harvest and it didn’t disappoint. I had the striped bass (it was delicious!) and my husband had the grass fed filet (he said it was very good). We also had the deviled eggs (a must!) and finished off with the chocolate cheesecake. It’s not a traditional cheesecake and wasn’t overly sweet. We really enjoyed it. It was my birthday dinner and Dustin, our server, was fantastic! He took great care of us and made wonderful recommendations. We will definitely be back! Oh and make a reservation because it gets very busy.

We've walked by this place a dozen or more times thinking "we have to try it." They're a seasonal menu type of restaurant so it changes a few times throughout the year, so if you see something try it before its gone! Everything was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and great with suggestions. They made sure we were always taken care of. For starters we ordered the deviled eggs and ribs. The eggs were everything I was hoping for, but those ribs were amazing. They had a nice crispy exterior with a fall off the bone tenderness to them. Main entrees we ordered were the chicken fried steak and pork enchiladas. Both were so good we split them with each other. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake and the butternut squash pie. The cake was very dense and very rich. If that had been all they included it might had been too overpowering, but that ice cream cut through it perfectly. The butternut squash pie was a big surprise to me, it tasted like one of the best pumpkin pies I'd ever had.

Harvest remains a favorite of ours. The service is always excellent and the food is delicious. Portions are large and everything is fresh and local. If you haven’t tried their specialty cocktails, then you’re in for a treat. If you’re going for a special occasion make sure to reserve a table well in advance.

Great food and atmosphere. Loved setting at the downstairs bar and talking to those around us. The bartenders made amazing drinks and the food was delicious 😋 We had the steak and ribeye and both were delicious. Highly recommend the Turning Seasons Fall Old Fashion and a Chocolate Martini. The warm pimento cheese appetizer was really good too.

Perfect decor, atmosphere, and fresh ingredients. A little bit of wait for food for popular brunch times, however servers are very well trained and know how to keep us entertained. Awesome Signature cocktail drinks. Highly recommend!

Our first time at the Harvest after hearing about it on many foodie groups! Kids chicken tenders and fries were fresh and seasoned well, the Buffalo chicken sandwich and burger were amazing! Service was a little slower than expected but otherwise everything great and we’ll be back!

Excellent service, amazing food! You really need a reservation, as they are very popular. Everything they cook has a beautiful taste, you can really feel that here ‘farm’ and ‘local’ are not part of a marketing concept without meaning. The chacuterie and cheese board were very very good, the roasted chicken incredible and awesone cocktails! We just moved in the area and plan to eat here at least once a month.

Celebrated 3 birthdays on a Saturday night on the second floor. Food was wonderful. I had pork loin, super tender. Seasonal dips was very tasty, served with fabulous chips. Our server was GREAT. Porshe took care of us very well. We were a party of 10, never needed anything, she anticipated our every need. We will return!

M

Food was great! Love that they are sourcing good quality food, more restaurants should do this. Portions are typically not huge on many entrees and appetizers FYI. Chicken was kind of tiny also, but it was very tasty. Update: I went back, and the food was even better. Ribeye was so amazing! Fish was delicious. The homemade cookies were incredibly tasty! Such a great place overall!

I'm updating my review because the first time we visited this new location, we did not have a great experience. I think we just went on an off night. The owner reached out to me and was very kind and professional, addressed all the issues, and asked us to give the restaurant another chance. Our next visit was lovely! Upon arrival we were brought up to the third floor. Wow, the decor and ambience are incredible! There was live music being played. Great to listen to, but not too loud so we could still have a conversation. The craft cocktails were delicious. We got the beet hummus with sweet potato chips as an appetizer and I cannot say enough great things. I don't even like beets and I loved this! The mix of different flavors was so good. All of our meals were delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection. Service was also great. Overall, we had a wonderful time! I will definitely ask for the 3rd floor next time we visit.

A

This was such a cool space. Our large party booked the third floor on a live music night. Great ambiance and amazing people watching. The cocktail selection was great and so were the NA options. My favorite app was the carrot hummus. Who knew? Literally could have eaten that as my entree.

C
Christol Schultz

I loved everything about this place. Greeted with a smile, cool vibe on the third floor that we luckily didn’t need a reservation for. Really good live music, attentive, friendly server and the food and drink was fantastic! My friend and I shared a beet salad with chicken and the roasted pork enchiladas. Every part of the meal was seasoned to perfection. The meat was perfectly cooked. I had the Violet Beauregard cocktail, delicious. There was a $3 split charge for the entree, that wasn’t disclosed but I wasn’t mad about it. Portions were large enough that we both had plenty to eat. It’s not a quiet space but it is intimate and you can hear each other over the music. If I lived in Dallas, I’d be a frequent diner.

Wow, what a truly memorable evening we had at Harvest at the Masonic in McKinney, Texas! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was welcoming, sophisticated, and perfectly charming. However, the highlight of our visit was the incredibly delightful service provided by our waitress, Cat. She embodied excellence and personalized attentiveness in every interaction, creating an experience that went above and beyond mere dining. Cat was an absolute gem—a rare and valuable find in the heart of downtown McKinney. Her balance of attentiveness was flawless; she was always there when needed but never intrusive, allowing us to enjoy our meal and conversation without any hurry or interruption. We felt cherished and cared for, thanks to Cat's warm and inviting demeanor. Her ability to make us feel special, understand our needs, and predict our preferences showed her true mastery of customer service. Our dining experience was elevated by Cat's in-depth knowledge of the menu and genuine enthusiasm in sharing her recommendations. Her guidance led us to a delightful choice of dishes. We started with the homemade bread assortment, perfectly accompanied by creamy butter, soothing both the heart and soul. Of course, my TEXAS mom requested an additional basket to go😜The Don Julio shot was just the refreshing mark we needed to begin our evening. It took a minute to go to the third floor bar to fill the shot, but it was well worth it🥳🥳🥳 Everything from the harvest salad to the beet salad burst with freshness and flavor, a testament to the farm-to-table commitment of Harvest. My Texas mom adored her hamburger, exquisitely cooked and bursting with flavor, complemented by indulgent sour cream mashed potatoes. She also loved the balsamic flavor of her harvest salad with pecans and gobbled it up hungrily and was mysteriously quiet during the consumption phase of that salad... Kinda like my two chickens in the backyard, Mary and Martha, who go into a feeding frenzy when you provide super worms from PetSmart in the 25 count😂😂🤣🤣🤣😝😝😝The crispy chicken breast I ordered was tender and moist, an absolute treat that felt like a feast in every bite. I hope they weren't relatives of Mary and Martha🫣🥲 As our meal concluded, Cat guided us through the dessert choices, leading us to a fulfilling end with the luscious apple Betty and the rich chocolate mousse. In the bustling and vibrant setting of Harvest at the Masonic, Cat shone as a brilliant star amidst the wonders of fine dining, making our experience truly spectacular. Whether you're local or visiting, Harvest is a must-go destination, supported by cheerful service throughout its uniquely designed three floors, bars, and live music, bringing the McKinney community together in harmony. The owners also own Rick's on the Square and some other place that I can't remember at the moment as I'm still in a food coma ...Thanks to Cat and the incredible team at Harvest, we left not just with satisfied appetites but with hearts full of gratitude and joy.

Everything about this restaurant was perfect and amazing! The interior design was so country chic and romantic, it was the perfect spot for a date night. The food is indescribable, you have to go and try it out to understand. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. And we had the best waiter who was so accommodating to our needs and was so informative about the menu items. I can’t wait until it opens in it’s new location.

We have gone to Harvest twice for family celebrations and both times have been very impressed! We appreciated the different atmosphere of each floor - first sitting on the second floor and recently sitting on the third. Everyone loved their meals and all the flavors in the food and the cocktails. We had awesome experiences with service - from the hostesses to the servers, including Abby on our last visit. Would definitely recommend Harvest for family or friends, especially for celebrations.

First time dining at their new location: I have dined at their old location on the square multiple times in the past. Chef Andrea is still amazing. The bartender on the third floor was just ok, but maybe because we showed up around 9 pm and they closed at 10:30 pm. The deviled eggs are always a favorite, the salad perfect, and the halibut full of flavor. There was a strange patron at the bar who shouted Trump, which made for an interesting evening. Overall, I'd come back again.

Absolutely perfect! Our waiter, Jacob, was the perfect blend of attentive, but not hovering. We started with the deviled eggs which were wonderful! My husband ordered the Red Fish and I ordered the Duroc Pork Chop. Both were great, but we ended up switching dinners. The Red fish was delightful and the presentation was spot on. For dessert, we had the Apple Brown Betty which was a little dry, but still absolutely delicious. The wine selection is very expansive. The attention to detail throughout the restaurant is perfect. The water glasses are recycled wine bottles. The Apple Brown Betty was served in a cast iron dish on a recycled piece of an old menu. Sustainability is the name of the game.

I've have two words that can definitively express my experience at Harvest at the Masonic. Fantastically Fabulous. Google describes it as Rustic-chic offering sustainable American fare and drinks. I will 100%, it is just that. We celebrated our Company Christmas Party there, and it was such a wonderful time. I arrived early and the Hostess invited me to tour the restaurant. It has 3 floors, and each floor as a different vibe. I have an confession. I tried on one of the hats hanging on the wall. Don't make the same mistake I did. Those are the owners personal hats:) The service was top notch and the food was superb. I ordered a smoky drink, and the presentation and taste was out of this world. My main course was the Duroc pork chop. It was so delicious. I'm looking forward for my next visit. It was such a memorable experience.

We went for our 26th anniversary and it was amazing. Our waitress was never far but was also not intrusive. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us personable recommendations that were quite helpful. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. After having the shrimp appetizer, I now know how they are actually suppose to be cooked. It definitely puts shrimp at everywhere else I have ever been to shame. The restaurant and ambiance were perfect for a get together or a romantic date night. They have an elevator for for easy access to the 2nd and 3rd floor. On the 3rd floor they have a comfortable and inviting lounge which had live music that night. I would recommend this place to any and everyone. I look forward to any excuse to eat here again.

What a great restaurant! This was our first visit and we had the pork tenderloin and wagyu fillet. Both were great! You could taste how fresh everything was. It was fancy without feeling pretentious. I was really surprised how affordable everything was! Gillian served us and she was so helpful answering all of our questions and making sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend a visit and are already planning another visit.

Harvest is a beautiful farm to table restaurant in downtown McKinney. We had reservations on a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. Our server was very nice and staff is definitely working hard to make sure everyone has a great dining experience. We had several cocktails plus the deviled eggs as an appetizer. The selection of bread that is served in a basket is excellent. For entrees we chose a mix of fish and beef, everything wonderful, especially the pan roasted red fish. Dessert included the apple brown betty and the lemon goat cheese icebox pie, both amazing! Love the downtown McKinney area!

This is great place to enjoy seasonal and local food. I had the Spinach & Baby Kale salad with chicken and 2 drinks. One drink was a hibiscus and the other had a flower actually in it! (I can’t find the names because the menu changes with the seasons and I think I went on the last day of the drink season) The food was amazing. I never had a salad that was so tasty and filling. The atmosphere was nice with live music but I would’ve preferred more light over my table. The servers were so nice and very informative about the meals and where the food came from. Definitely try it out if you’re in the area!

Dining at Harvest at Masonic was an experience that truly exceeded expectations from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between warm and inviting yet refined. The space feels thoughtfully designed lively enough to feel energetic, but intimate enough to enjoy conversation comfortably. The service was exceptional. Our server was not only attentive but genuinely engaged. Every question we had about the menu was answered with enthusiasm and deep knowledge. You could tell they truly understood the dishes and cared about guiding us toward the best experience possible. The pacing of the meal was also spot-on we never felt rushed, yet everything arrived seamlessly. Now, the food. Absolutely outstanding. We began with the shrimp starter, which immediately set the tone for the evening. The shrimp were cooked perfectly tender with just the right snap and layered with flavors that felt both vibrant and balanced. The salad that accompanied the dish wasn’t an afterthought; it complemented the shrimp beautifully, adding freshness and texture that elevated the entire plate. The seasonal dip was one of the biggest surprises of the night. It’s amazing what the chefs can do with fresh vegetables. What could have been a simple starter was transformed into something creative and memorable beautifully presented, deeply flavorful, and genuinely impressive. It felt inventive without being pretentious, which is a rare balance. The crispy chicken with collard green sauce was another star of the meal. The chicken itself was golden and perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside. The collard green sauce added depth and a slight earthiness that tied everything together in such a thoughtful way. The flavors complemented each other effortlessly each bite was comforting yet elevated. The drinks were just as carefully crafted. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Old Fashioned smooth, balanced, and expertly made. I tried both mocktails on the menu, and they were equally impressive. They weren’t overly sweet like many non-alcoholic options tend to be instead, they were complex, refreshing, and clearly given just as much attention as the cocktails. What truly sets Harvest apart is how everything comes together the ambiance, the attentive and knowledgeable service, and food that feels both seasonal and inspired. It’s rare to leave a restaurant already planning your next visit, but that’s exactly how we felt. This place has absolutely earned a spot at the top of our list, and I can’t wait to return.

Wow. Blown away by the recommendation to come here. We sat on the third floor and loved the ambient lighting. Our server was kind and gave wonderful recommendations. We will certainly come back and try the rest of the menu. I left fully satiated and happy to have found a new go to restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful experience

I've had this place saved for a long time but once they got Michelin recommended, it made me want to go sooner! We decided to do an early Valentine's day dinner and it was a busy Friday! We made reservations on the website and it lined up with another personal occasion luckily so we mentioned that too. We got seated quickly when we arrived, but it took over 20 minutes until I asked another waiter "Sorry to bother, do you know who our waiter is?". Luckily, soon after that we were able to get our orders in and the food came out promptly and well paced. We chose the 6 Oysters, Chicken Fried Steak, and the Ribeye. The oysters were dissapointing to us, but we don't usually order them at restaurants. It was just barely any meat, flavorful though, and pieces of shell were getting in our bites. Once the mains came out, we were very happy. The chicken fried steak was very good on a nice bed of mash and topped with a delicious pepper gravy. My ribeye came perfectly cooked to my liking and that went to the clean plate club. Every bit of the dish was delicious and went together very well. After our entrees, a manager came by and apologized for the slow service. We were both surprised as we didn't complain to anyone, but we were very happy they noticed. We understand things like that happen and we weren't mad or anything, but service like that is always appreciated! We would definitely recommend coming here for any occasion! Reservations definitely make it easier.

My husband & I came here for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday. We were blown away. The server, Jordan was wonderful & guided us through some of her favorite things on the menu. We started with the Deviled eggs & oysters….amazing! Then we ordered the beef cheek, steak, and pork tenderloin. Everything was 10/10. I normally don’t like pork tenderloin but this was the most tender & flavorful one that I’ve ever had. The desserts(butternut squash & goat cheese lemon pie)were delicious. We can’t wait to come back, we’ll definitely have to try out the brunch!

Tried the new beef cheek on the menu and really enjoyed it. Great service from David. Finished with my favorite pie anywhere, the chocolate mousse and orange vanilla custard pie.

So good! The service itself is enough for me to go back. I thought the staff was very very good at the presentation of the menu as well as offering smart wine pairings. The food also crushes but damn the staff is good!

First time at new location. Began the evening on 3rd floor lounge. I dined with my wife and another couple. Will was our server and was super. Very knowledgeable, responsive and personable. Chicken fried steak was massive and very enjoyable. Ribeye was great. The redfish was a bit underwhelming and dry according to my wife but she thoroughly enjoyed herself as well. We will be back for sure.

Where do I start? The whole evening was magical ✨️ We celebrated our 24th Anniversary 💕The food WAS DELICIOUS! Knowing you're eating good quality and clean food is the icing on the cake. Oh, and we were treated to not just one but two desserts, and I don't have any more words to describe how they melted in our mouths. Thank YOU, Harvest, for having us. Farm to Table done, right ✅️

I recently visited this place for the first time, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! Ordered the deviled eggs, crispy chicken breast, and the gluten-free chocolate mousse & orange vanilla custard pie. Everything was so delicious. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. The atmosphere was also great—comfortable and inviting. I’ll definitely be back to try more! Highly recommend!

My wife and I both absolutely love Harvest! The new location is super cool. Definitely need to check out the upstairs bar area when you come. The ribeye is our favorite on the menu. Wife also likes the red snapper a lot too. This place is our go to for a nicer date night dinner and we are always excited to come back!

Ate there for the first time last night. Staff was phenomenal, atmosphere was great. Food was excellent. Farm-to-table restaurant so everything was very fresh. Girlfried and I decided to just have simple hamburgers and they were great! Abby was our server and she did a wonderful job. Deviled eggs were a great starter. Even with 2 desserts our bill was under $70; an excellent value for the quality of the atmosphere, service, and food. We didn't drink but they had an extensive alcohol menu. We will definitely be back

We ate at Harvest in McKinney last night, and it was such a wonderful experience. The restaurant is farm-to-table, and you can truly taste the freshness in every bite. Their menu changes with the seasons, which makes the whole dining experience feel thoughtful and intentional. The service was incredible — welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable. The drinks were unique and delicious, the kind that make you want to try something new just because they do it so well. What makes Harvest especially fun is the three-story layout, each level offering a different vibe. • The first floor is perfect for regular dining. • The second floor gives you a closer look at the action with the chef’s table experience. • We chose the third floor, which has more of a bar/lounge feel, complete with live music. The band was fantastic and added the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed night out. If you’re looking for a place to unwind with great food, great drinks, and great company, I highly recommend stopping by Harvest. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the season, connect with friends, and make some memories.

Harvest at the Masonic completely exceeded my expectations again. This was my third time dining here, and it’s quickly becoming one of my absolute favorite restaurants in McKinney. The moment I walk in, I’m greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels cozy, elegant, and perfect for any occasion. I also love that the restaurant has multiple floors, each offering a different ambiance depending on the vibe you’re going for. The service is always attentive without being intrusive, and the staff genuinely seem happy to be there, which makes the whole experience even better. The food continues to be the highlight. Every dish is fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. The flavors strike that perfect balance of comforting yet elevated, and even the cocktails and mocktails are crafted with impressive attention to detail. Another thing I appreciate is the pace of the meal never rushed, never slow, just the right flow that lets you truly enjoy your evening. I’ll definitely keep coming back. Harvest at the Masonic is a gem, and it’s quickly becoming my go-to spot for a delicious, memorable dining experience.

Boyfriend and I came here for date night and I couldn’t recommend a better spot! From entry to exit, everything was fantastic. All the staff were incredibly friendly, especially our server Nene! She clearly knew the menu well, explained it in depth, and made great recommendations. Plus she helped us open a new chapter in our relationship with excitement and a full stomach!! (Thank you again Nene!) One of the managers even stopped by to check on us and say hello! The drinks were impeccable, the appetizers were great, the food was made intentionally, and dessert was a sweet cherry on top! The ambience was lovely and perfect for a quiet, intimate night. This is the best service and food I’ve had from a sit down restaurant in years. Plus they offer a seasonal menu — the Gin Up Buttercup and Caramel Compass are tasty! I’d recommend it to a friend for sure and will definitely be back!

Taste is great! Will come back for their deviled eggs. Portions are generous given the price point. The brisket hash was tasty. The menu had enough variety to make me want to come back.

We had a fantastic experience here for my wife's birthday. The service was attentive and stellar down to even a dedicated drink refill person. The manager even stopped by to check in on us. The food was farm to table fantastic. We started with their pimento & cheese appetizer that came with blackened fresh chips. My wife got the Lover Bug cocktail which is a vanilla infused vodka with Texas ube syrup, Paula’s orange liqueur, and lemon juice. I got the peach chorizo jam pork tenderloin that came on a bed of the crispest hash browns and okra chips. I also got a side of seasonal succotash which was a bit too buttery.. My wife got the Chicken Fried Steak with sour cream mashed potatoes. To finish we got the Peaches & Corn Custard Pie. The ambience was very nice on the 3rd floor. We missed the live music as we were trying to walk the square afterwards. Very good visit and we will be back.

What a gem. I love trying new places, and I had heard I needed to try this one out, so we made the 37 minute trek up north. I didn’t know how the vibe would be (regular dining on 1 & 2 and cocktail lounge/live music on 3). We rolled the dice and they sat us on the 3rd floor. Great vibe. Lovely, everyone talking, pleasant live music but could still easily hold a conversation. Our server, Justin (too bad it’s not gonna be May for awhile because there was a resemblance too) was awesome. He intentionally spread out our experience. Keeping things spread out for a great rhythm with no rush at all. We had a grapefruit martini and old fashioned with the sweet potato hummus - so delicious and unique. Great way to start a meal. On to the ribeye (with Tupps juice box) and pork loin (with Pine Ridge Viognier-Chenin Blanc). The rub on the steak was outstanding and cook was perfect. The pork loin was unique and flavorful and the hash underneath went perfectly. Paired surprisingly well with my wine. I cannot pass up dessert so yes, we had that too. My husband ordered the peach cream pie and I ordered the apple Brown Betty… zero question the apple Brown Betty was the star. So so good. But not too rich. Paired the desserts with a couple glasses of port. They were out of the 20 year but we got the younger version. The Graham six grapes was delicate and not too rich and went great with my dessert. Fabulous experience overall and Justin was phenomenal. Couldn’t have asked for better service. The perfect combination of personable but also hyper aware of if we were deep in conversation and shouldn’t be interrupted. Great quality. We will surely be back again.

The food was absolutely incredible and everything is locally sourced. Only food complaint is the dessert menu; mainly custard-based items. So ya best like custard pie. Coffee was also subpar for our tastes, but that's really nick-picky. Atmosphere was not as cozy and as romantic as we had hoped. Wednesday early evening was crammed and noisy with local boys club types. Thought we were actually in a mason lodge gathering. 😉 Our waitress was top-notch. So glad we had our first anniversary dinner there. We will return.

Date Night favorite! Reservations are a MUST. Live AMAZING Music Amazing Service Tasty Food Filling Portions We started with cocktails, an Ol Fashioned for him & a Grapefruit Martini for me - both were greatly enjoyed. The seasonal cocktails are a great way to try something new. For appetizers we've had the Deviled Eggs as we've seen so many photos of them on Yelp. They were okay, but nothing special (IMHO). My hubby enjoyed the Seasonal Dip, but the Beef Skewers are our favorite. Entree time & we are usually starving! He's a sucker for Short Ribs & I'm a sucker for fish so we both were thrilled to see great options for both. -My American Snapper was good, but I was most impressed by the accompaniments to my fish - corn squash / garbanzo beans / Brussels sprout / fresh herbs / chemoula sauce chili oil / grilled lemon. The portion was more than filling and was so tasty, best part it was dairy free so I didn't have to augment it at all! -I've also really enjoyed the Beet Salad w/chicken as an entree and the Sweet Potato Hummus as an entree. The Hummus is such a large portion I couldn't finish it all. -The Pan Roasted Halibut is delicious, but A LOT of peas! -His Braised Short Rib was good, but a little dryer than normal. Still my hubby finished it all. His accompaniments - fingerling potatoes / leeks / roasted carrots / mustard / béarnaise / pickled jalapeño definitely added to the dish. Not sure he'd order this again. On future visits he's enjoyed the House Hamburger & Poblano Chicken Enchiladas (his favorite). For dessert my hubby has enjoyed the Apple Crisp dish and it did not disappoint! He's also enjoyed the Lemon Goat Cheese Icebox Pie. The House Cookies are hit or miss whether they are gooey or hard, so he usually opts for something else. Being dairy free I usually choose to drink my dessert & get a glass of the Gruet, Sparkling, Albuquerque, NM (closest thing they have to Prosecco) and it is delicious! We were treated to the music of The Jon Christopher Davis band and they were incredible! We've only had once where the music wasn't great, but the other five or six times it's been incredible! We both agreed this is a MUST return place and already have reservations to return for our next date night.

Chose this place for my husband's birthday. I noticed that they had a pretty nice menu and live music performances. On top of that they have this incredible option of ordering Wildflower bouquets from their own Farm. Not only are they farm to table for food, but they also supply their own floral decor AND this option of a custom bouquet. I surprised my husband by reserving a table on the top floor, minutes before a talented musician started playing, had a delicious meal and a custom bouquet. As for noise, I said moderate because we purposefully chose to dine on the top floor with live music performance. Will definitely be back!

Had a great dining experience overall! While the chicken enchiladas weren’t quite to my taste, everything else was fantastic. I highly recommend starting with the beef skewers — super flavorful and well-seasoned. For drinks, the Loverbug is a must-try — refreshing and unique. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. If you get the chance, definitely request a seat on the third floor — the live singer there really adds to the ambiance and makes the evening feel special. Will definitely be back to try more!

One the best places we have eaten. We showed up early and had a few drinks on the third floor, where there is live music. Then had dinner on the first floor. My wife had the pork chop and loved it. It came with some delicious sweet potato wedges. I had the wagyu filet. Let me tell you the cooked it perfectly medium rare. The best steak I have had in some time. Even better than my last trip to Bob’s. We really enjoyed our server Cat. She was knowledgeable and did a great job. We like to use the stairs. But they do have an elevator. We spent on the higher end of what’s possible ( over $200 with tips). But you could portably spend $60-75 and still enjoy it.

When we first arrived, the hostesses were so welcoming and so full of the type of energy that just makes you feel excited to be there! Our server, Lisa, was amazing and provided outstanding service. She took the time out to explain any drinks or dishes we inquired about to help make sure we were picking items we would be satisfied with (and man oh man was our food delicious!). When asked about the history of the restaurant she told us about the owner's passion of helping those in need in our community and desire to keep prices low so that those in the community can still enjoy their amazing dishes at an affordable price. This is definitely an establishment that we will continue to support!

Overall a good place and great atmosphere for a date night! The menu had unique options with ingredients in season. I could tell the food was locally sourced which was great, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. I had fish and it wasn’t cooked the greatest and the dish also seemed unbalanced… it hardly had any zucchini or squash which were in the description. My husband ordered a steak and it was just average. Good food for sure, just not great for the high price point. We had a great specialty cocktail, but again… a bit expensive overall. The atmosphere was wonderful. Decor and style were right on point with the whole ‘vibe’, and every seating arrangement looked comfortable and had privacy. Good lighting, music, staff was attentive but not in your face.

Cool shows, unfortunately we did not reserve a table and kinda were stuck at the lounge at a small booth. However the live band made up for it. The food was great and lot of healthy options.

We attended a wine dinner ($350 pp) that was held on the second floor. The historic building has been completely renovated. Honestly, did not care for the food or the pairing. We noticed that the restaurant portion on the first floor was very loud.

Really nice ambience, the locally sourced farm to plate is great. Ordered deviled eggs and it came out on a half egg crate which is such a simple but nice touch. I did order a steak which came out a little on the dry side so next time i will order medium rare.

This is my third time over about 2 years. I loved it the first 2 times and really liked it this time. First, you must know the food is excellent! The pork chop was phenomenal and a huge portion. My husband and I shared the dish and still had some to take home. The appetizer selection is slim and unimpressive. They do have a full bar and can most likely make you whatever you want. The cocktails were good, but nothing that stood out. I will say that we went on a Saturday night and we were on the 3rd floor. Previously the band had been wonderful. However, this time the live music was horrible. So much so that other tables were engaging with us just to complain about the music. The girl who was the lead singer with several older men, just couldn't carry a tune or stay on beat. It really ruined the experience. The table next to us left because they couldn't handle the music anymore and we considered cancelling our meal and going somewhere else. She was a Wednesday afternoon karaoke singer, not a Saturday night band.

It had a been a while since our last visit, but last Friday was our first visit in their new location and with the winter menu. We were a party of 4 and seated on the third floor for a 5p reservation. Lisa was our server and was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and just generally took good care of us. The cocktails were tasty and smooth - love is in the air tasted like apple cobbler and the cherry cobbler tasted like cherry cobbler. Even the mocktails were delicious. The pimento and cheese is a long time favorite, we did need a second serving of chips, but gooey and cheesy as it should have been, the sweet potato hummus was also a crowd pleaser. The golden raisins and pumpkin seeds perfectly complimented the dish. Everything was cooked to order - the ribeye and grass fed filet were cooked to medium and medium rare, potatoes (fingerling, red, and fries) all had good flavor, carrots were tasty, and the parsnip purée i could’ve eaten by the bowl full. I’ve never had a squash pie, and I wasn’t disappointed, it was similar to a sweet potato pie in flavor and was perfect for fall/winter. A delightful evening all around with one exception. The seating on the third floor was terrible (hence the 2 for atmosphere). The ambiance itself on this floor was pleasant - had a jazz bar, relaxed vibe, with live music after 7p. If we were visiting for cocktails and a show, great, but the table for four was the same size as the tables for two. We could barely fit our drinks with our appetizers or alone our entrees. Two members of my party spilled food in their drinks as there was kust nowhere to move. This was in the front section of the dining area near the stage, the seating got worse the closer to the bathroom where larger parties were sharing the equivalent of a coffee table for their dinner. We have enjoyed the food and drinks on every visit, but we’re definitely turned off by the seating on this visit. I can’t speak to the other floors, but if you’re looking for a dinner where you can reasonably share food and have a conversation with the rest of your party, the third floor is likely not a great place to sit. We’ll request different seating on future visits and hope it will be better.

My husband and I were there to celebrate a delayed, Valentines Day, date. We requested to be on the 3rd floor so that we could enjoy the live music. The place was packed. Our server, William, was very prompt, nice, and gave good suggestions regarding the food.....this was our first visit. His suggestions were on point, except for the Chocolate Mousse. Although delicious, it was a bit too sweet. The atmosphere was very enjoyable with one, not complaint, but observation. Not everyone table is positioned to see the live performance, although able to hear them very clearly. After our dinner, we briefly visited the second floor which is so cozy and funly decorated. All the staff, from checking in to leaving, were extremely pleasant. We will be going back, for the music, but will probably have our dinner on the second floor. I highly recommend this place for a fun night out and if you make reservations for the 3rd floor, ask for William as your server.

Great ambiance, friendly and quick service, reservation required. My husband reserved a table at the harvest for my birthday, they were busy but we hardly had to wait. We ordered a bloody Mary( decent), left hook lenda and old fashioned (both were excellent)! Our server that day, I think Martin was polite and friendly. We ordered devilled eggs (it was okay, not sure if crunchy pecan was enough for flavour) and sweet potato chips (huge portion, and the hummus was good). I ordered eggs and steak (portion was small, and I felt it wasnt juicy due to that, missed mash or so I did :( and fried chicken steak (portion size so huge that even 3 people can eat that)! Cheesecake with goat cheese is an acquired taste but they definitely made my birthday special. Thank you! Recommend their cocktails, fried steak.

I had the ribeye and my wife had the porterhouse pork chop. My steak was great but the pork was way overcooked and dry. They only have one non-alcoholic beer option and it’s Heineken, which isn’t great. We walked in on a Friday evening, fully aware that we likely wouldn’t get a table because most restaurants at this level are reservation based. To our surprise we were able to get a seat at the 3rd floor bar. I’m not criticizing it, since it was the only way they could accommodate us, but I will say the whole 3rd floor vibe just doesn’t fit the restaurant and it’s very strange. The bar tender was our server and he took great care of us - no complaints there. What does suck, and it’s been my experience every time both at Harvest and at Rick’s, is the host stand. They always just rude. They cannot be bothered to smile, be polite, or provide anything above the absolute minimum required to communicate with you. They come off as very pretentious. Once you get past them, the servers are usually very friendly and gracious. But the hosts/hostesses are a topic of conversation when we’re debating where to go for dinner, and on more than one occasion we’ve chosen a different restaurant because we didn’t feel like putting up with their attitude. We started with the deviled eggs, which were okay. They really needed a hint of acidity and some salt. My steak was good, and I think it was mostly due to the sauce zigzagged on top. Everything else on my plate was incredibly bland. My wife’s entire meal was very bland. Big cuts of meat like that really do require a generous amount of salt. Furthermore, my steak came with some roasted fingerlings - which very desperately needed salt. Potatoes, in general, need salt at every stage of cooking. I don’t know if they taste their food but that wouldn’t have made it out of my kitchen. It wasn’t *bad*, everything just needed to be seasoned. Plus, pork can safely be served at 140*, so why they felt the need to overcook it and dry it out is beyond me. To be clear, the food is presented very well, and everything sounds appetizing. But it is underwhelming once you bite into it. I’m not sure if it’s kitchen staff experience or the CDC/EC telling them not to season the food, but this little step would go a long way. They have a good wine list, nothing incredible but nothing to scoff at either. The cocktails looked amazing, especially (what appeared to be) the smoked old fashioned. A pleasant upside to sitting at the bar was getting a wiff of the smoke they used on the cocktails, in a huge fan of that and kind of enjoyed it. If you don’t like that, it’s something to consider. The thing that sucked the most was the band. They were just bad. Not really factoring into my review of the restaurant but pointing out that if you’re going up to the 3rd floor, you may have to contend with that. The elevator smells terrible. Not sure what’s up with that but it’s gross. All in all, this was a mediocre experience that could have been dramatically improved by some manners and some salt. I’ve been enough times now to have a pretty good idea that this is the norm for them. The Michelin Guide recommendation is surprising to me and they’re definitely not on par with any of the Michelin restaurants I’ve worked at or eaten at. For the money, and it pains me to say this because I love the concept and I think McKinney needs this, it’s not worth it. I doubt we’ll be back.

(3/5 stars) Confusing experience vs. the 4.7 rating - great management, but major misses Came here last night for a friend’s birthday and left genuinely confused by the current 4.7 rating. The manager on duty was extremely accommodating and kept coming by to apologize and try to fix things, and I want to give her real credit for that. But the number of issues we had in one visit was hard to ignore. We were seated on the third floor. The vibe up there was a bit odd. Very dark green, minimal Masonic decor, and it felt more like an unfinished lounge than a polished dining space. The band was decent and did keep the room lively, which was a plus & The drinks were really good! Now the food/service problems: Oysters: Very disappointing. We didn’t realize until after ordering that they were farm-raised (menu note), which is on us but the bigger issue was the quality. Several shells barely had any oyster in them, and overall they tasted off. They also weren’t as cold as you’d expect oysters to be. The manager tried to make it right by bringing additional ones, but we ended up giving them back because they were still not good. Table: Our table was lopsided, to the point our drinks were literally sliding/spilling while we were eating. Staff did come by to fix it, but it’s not something you expect to deal with at a place with this many high reviews. Ribeye: We were told 4–5 times that the ribeye was “the best thing on the menu,” so we ordered it. Honestly, it was one of the most disappointing ribeyes I’ve ever had. It came pre-cut into very thick slices, and THE STEAK HAD ZERO JUICE OR TASTE, lacked flavor, and had a lot of fat. We ordered medium, but it arrived VERY medium-rare, with some pieces closer to rare/blue. When we brought it to their attention, we were told that was “their version of medium.” The manager offered to take it off, but after so many issues already we just kept it and my wife didn’t eat it because of the flavor and the way it was cut (she prefers to slice her own thin). Chicken fried steak: I also ordered the chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes actually had good flavor (which ended up being most of what I ate), but the chicken fried steak itself was rough. There were a lot of breaded sections with little to no steak, and the pieces that did have meat were gristly/tough to the point I had to spit a few bites into a napkin and eventually just stopped eating it. Getting sick: The biggest issue is that both my wife and I got sick. We started feeling it before we even left, felt worse when we got home, and we’re still sick the next day (today) with stomach pain, and we strongly believe it was the oysters. I really wanted to love this place, and I appreciate how hard the manager tried. But if you come here, just know the experience may not match the rating and if you’re coming for oysters or the ribeye, set expectations accordingly.

The atmosphere was really unique here. Three floors of restaurants here with the top floor being a live music lounge. Layout of the third floor was extremely cramped with tables almost ob the stage of the band playing. We had a reservation and they didnt have a table ready for us at our reservation time making us wait awkwardly in front of the elevator we took up to get to that floor. Food was less than exciting. We sent the seasonal dip back because it had absolutely no flavor. The server misrang our entree and my husband had to eat alone while my entree got remade. Was my birthday dinner and we were less than impressed by the entire experience.

So sad to have to write this because I very much wanted to say it was incredible in all ways but it wasn’t. I’m a frequent customer to many of the restaurants in DTM and was excited to try Harvest in the new location. I will add that I had great experiences at the old location. First off, I dined her on a Wednesday night around 6:15p. The mood and energy upon being greeted was at best flat, it didn’t appear to be very busy either but again this is mid week. We dined on the first floor but was not given an option to be seated on any other floor. We decided to not sit in a booth because the party adjacent to our table was very loud. There was only one other couple at the bar. We ordered two speciality drinks from the menu, an old fashioned and manhattan. Both were flavorless and strangely the manhattan was served in a rocks glass with a rock ice cube. The bartender was nice but was low energy. My wife and I love oysters so after reading the description we decided try them as our app. The presentation was great but the product was not. They had a fishy smell and looked dry and a bit cloudy. Oysters should not smell fishy, in fact any fish or shellfish should not have a fishy smell. Needless to say I sent them back. On to our main dishes. We ordered the ribeye and bavette steak. The ribeye had definitely been sitting and was lukewarm warm, which was very disappointing. I ordered it medium but it was definitely under. The first bite that I took must have been a chunk of gristle because it was inedible. In fact almost have of the ribeye was gristle. The meat had good flavor though. The potato’s, baby carrots and onion, though lukewarm, were good. My wife enjoyed her meal and the riced mash potatoes. The chimichurri sauce was tasty. My wife ordered a second old fashioned but requested Buffalo Trace however it still was not great. I declined a second drink. We ordered the cookies and milk for dessert and again just not great. The chocolate chip cookies had a very soft, bready consistency which we did not like. The orange cookie was better. Overall, our experience was a disappointment. The overall vibe was muted and just strange. I can’t put my finger on it. Though the bar was beautiful the build out of the dining room felt dark and cramped. What was a bigger concern and shock was that another diner at the bar next to us also ordered the oysters and also sent them back. Those oysters should have been thrown out by the Chef. I cannot support any restaurant that allow this type of thing to happen, it’s unacceptable. For all these reasons, with a broken heart we won’t be returning. There are many other restaurants in the square that just offer a much better experience.

Bad experience overall. We will not be back. Food: We were there for brunch and our soup of the day (chicken poblano) was super salty. The short rib sandwich with burrata cheese had the thinnest mayo like layer of cheese imaginable. Maybe inflation is causing the restaurant to become stingy with their Italian cheeses. Also, please update your coffee menu especially for brunch. All they had for coffee was watered down drip coffee, which for a place of this caliber is appalling. Service: Our server was great however when the time came for bill he added the complementary birthday desserts to the bill even though he assured us it was “on the house”. Oh and our umbrella was stolen from front of the restaurant on a rainy day. I’ve been to restaurants in Boston and NYC and have never had our belongings stolen! Conclusion: This place is all hype and maybe that’s good enough for McKinney/Allen. I’d recommend going to Bishop Arts which has much better selection of brunch places, with a similar farm to table concept.

We used to go to the old Harvest location all the time. We are really disappointed with the food at the new location. I ordered the half chicken which was served with white beans. It was flavorless and dry. The beans had absolutely no seasoning. This is our second time at the new location and we haven't been impressed with either meal we've eaten. The ambiance and service is always exceptional but that's not enough of a reason to come back.

Made a reservation for Valentine’s Day Brunch. They called me to confirm and I confirmed. Get another call early AM Valentine’s Day saying if I don’t confirm immediately they’ll let my table go to the waitlist, I called back to confirm, no answer. Turned up unsure if we still had a table or not to find the place pretty dead, at least 3 tables next to us completely empty for the majority of the time we were there. The food was meh, main course was ok. The chicken fried steak was drowning in gravy and the hash browns were dripping in oil. Aside from that not sure how wrong you can go with steak and eggs, it was fine. The chocolate orange dessert had the texture of scrambled egg and a soggy base, there wasn’t a hint of orange in it, the “mousse” was more like chocolate pudding dumped on top, two of the cocktails were undrinkable, we told our server and she said sorry but that was it. Overall it was disappointing and with so many food options in downtown McKinney we probably wouldn’t bother with Harvest again. I also don’t like the policy of calling multiple times to confirm and leaving voicemails saying they’ll have to give the table away. I really didn’t want to spend my morning attempting to get through to a restaurant to confirm a table I’ve already confirmed.

Came for a Tuesday night family dinner, we were seated on the 3rd floor. The food was alright and that the only good thing I can say about this restaurant. Our server was nice but couldn’t communicate well. Nor when we were waiting for drinks served it to us within a timely manner. Once we received our food. One of our party members had ordered a beer before our meal was served. Still waiting a good while into the meal. The manager “Dylan” came round to check on us. We had a question about one of the meals served and that we were still waiting on a beer to be brought to the table. After asking our waitress for the 5th time on the beer. Dylan came round to tell us we were CUTT OFF from being served due to his better judgement. After only having 3 Coors lite beers in the time period of over an hour. Our family of 5 table hadn’t made any noise, weren’t being disruptive, or causing any commotion. It’s outrageous that the Manager had the ENTITLEMENT to call “His Better Judgement” and proceed to say that is Uncle was the owner of the restaurant cut a family member off after 3 beers. Really put a damper on our family dinner for the evening. Won’t be returning willingly….

we made reservations to have dinner at 6:45 on the third floor with our family. We arrived early because One of our other daughters decided to join us so our reservation went from 4 to 5. The host was very accommodating and did his best to get us a table for five. We were seated at 6:30, when we were seated we ordered drinks and appetizers, laughing and cutting up and having a good time. The waitress later came by and we ordered our entrées. I had ordered the beet arugula salad with steak. When our food came out, my salad was very little to the side and my husband and I were laughing and joking about it. The Manager came by to check on us and asked how our dinner was. My husband did make a comment about the salad being small and I just laughed and said it was fine. My husband proceeded to order another beer from our waitress, the manager came back to our table. His name was Dylan and said that he was cutting my husband off on his better judgment. We were all in shock. We’ve been there for two hours and he had three beers with appetizer and dinner. No one was being loud or acting abrupt. We couldn’t understand why he was refusing to Service my husband. I was the DD. So my husband and son-in-law were having drinks and just enjoying themselves. I don’t really understand why the Manager cut us off and treated us that way. He definitely ruined a fun family night. We are regulars at Rick‘s steakhouse that’s owned by the same owner. We will not be returning after how we were retreated tonight to either restaurant.

DONT COME IF YOU PLAN TO DRINK ALCOHOL! I was excited about meeting my family here for dinner since we had heard so many nice things about the place. I’ll admit the atmosphere was nice and classy with live music, but that was the only thing I was impressed with. The service was ok, our waitress was sweet but she messed up some of our orders, kept forgetting things, and it took over 25 minutes before I finally got a refill for an iced tea. When the manager came over he asked if everything taste good and we all said yes except that my mom got a steak with a side salad instead of a steak salad and laughed staring it was fine. What ruined the night was when the manager came back and did something unexpected, he told my step father that he was cut off from drinking for the rest of the night. Now I 100% support a restaurant’s right to cut off alcohol for a customer especially if they are being rude to staff, being loud, or disrupting others, but we still have no idea why this was done. We had been there for almost 1 1/2 hours and my husband had 2 drinks, my step father had 3, while my mom and I were DD. We were eating our food, minding our business, and talking about plans for the holidays- nothing loud or disturbing which would’ve been difficult anyways with the live music. We all felt extremely uncomfortable as if we had done something wrong for simply just eating and socializing. It made things awkward so we asked for the check to leave. On the way out my step father asked for the name of the manager stating that it was strange to cut someone off for no reason and the manager responded with “I’m not worried because my uncle owns this place.” The food was ok, and as I said the atmosphere was nice but I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you plan on drinking or socializing. This is the type of place you go to if you’re a quiet party of 2 that wants to only eat expensive food and leave.
