The best vibes all around, friendly and efficient baristas, and absolutely delicious espresso ☕️ played a game of magic with the homies and we appreciated the neighborhood charm and good weather!
I visited on Thanksgiving with my friends, and it was an incredible experience! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made our day extra special. I ordered a mocha, and not only was it delicious, but they also added a beautiful heart design to the foam, which made it feel even more personalized and welcoming. This place is perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying a quiet moment with a great cup of coffee. Thank you, Epoch Coffee, for such a memorable time. Highly recommend this gem in Austin!
Open 24/24. Ideal place to work at during the day. Located near a bunch of thrift stores and bars. Also convenient if you want to cool down late into the night.
24hrs, still feels like it belongs in Austin, has vaguely more parking than other Epoch locations. Whats not to love?! If you want to try a coffee house around town and you're not reading this wearing chinos and a button up and talking about your next big app, then this is the place for you. Also welcome to town.
Epoch is the people’s coffee shop, bringing us back to the days of the salon. With a pleasantly quirky atmosphere, Epoch is easy to sit in. Also, one must comment on the incredible 24hr vision of a coffeeshop. The coffee is good, between flightpath and merit, perhaps. If starbucks is the bare minimum for consistency, Epoch is at least as good: this is high praise for the otherwise pathetic coffee in Hyde Park/North Loop. I would say the value is basically what I expect from Austin.
Very quirky, inclusive vibes, reminiscent of old Austin. Solid classic cafe menu plus some fun seasonal specials and pastries from local bakeries, including Lynny's biscuits. Can be busy in the mornings but service is speedy and friendly
Classic Austin spot for coffee! Really love their menu, they have lots of cool drinks to try and food to eat! Seating isn’t great for being there for long hours but the ambience is nice especially for a place open 24/7.
A great place to hang out and enjoy some tasty coffee or tea and a light snack at any hour. I love that they're still open 24 hours. They're the only old school Austin hold out that I know of on that and they'll always be dear to me for that. I also love that you can still just strike up random conversations with folks and there are regulars you can get to know. It's neat to have a place that you can show up to at 1am on a random night and count on probably knowing a few folks if you come often enough.
Epoch Coffee has a unique, no-frills charm that makes it a great spot to work or just enjoy a quality cup of coffee. On Fridays, it feels more like a co-working space, with most customers focused on their laptops. This isn’t necessarily a downside or a plus—just an observation. The calm background music and quiet atmosphere definitely help with concentration. The space itself is simple and functional, with an open kitchen, a bar counter, and multiple seating areas. Every table has an outlet, making it an ideal place for remote work. There are also two outdoor seating areas for those who prefer fresh air. The interior isn’t modern or overly designed, but that’s part of its authenticity. It feels like a place that gained popularity long ago and has remained a staple thanks to its steady flow of visitors. The friendly staff, relaxed vibe, and consistently good coffee make it a solid choice for both work and casual visits.
Apparently, this cafe is on the top of the list of coffee spots in Austin. Nestled few miles from the bustling University of Texas in Austin, this 24/7 coffee haven is a true gem for caffeine enthusiasts and students. As I stepped into this cozy establishment, I was instantly drawn to its vibrant atmosphere. The place buzzed with activity; students engrossed in their textbooks, friends catching up over steaming cups of coffee, and some focused on their laptops, lost in their own worlds. One of the first things that caught my eye was the abundance of parking spaces, a rare find in this bustling city. However, a word of caution – steer clear of the Breakaway Records business parking and disabled spaces unless you want your vehicle towed away. The coffee here is simply divine. With each sip of my chai latte, I could taste the authenticity and the meticulous craftsmanship that went into every cup. Their commitment to quality extends beyond the drinks; they offer a variety of coffee beans for purchase and have an enticing selection of merchandise, including coffee mugs and t-shirts. It's a coffee lover's dream come true. What struck me the most about this place was its versatility. Whether you're here to study, work remotely, or simply savor a cup of coffee, it caters to all. I chose a sunny Sunday afternoon with temperatures in the mid-80s to prepare for my certification exam. It was a splendid experience, with the perfect blend of tranquility and energy in the air. I've already made up my mind to return on a weekday, trading my home office for the chance to meet new faces and soak in the vibrant ambiance once more. If you're an ardent coffee connoisseur or just someone in search of an inviting spot to relax and work, this 24/7 coffee place near the University of Texas is a must-visit. It's no wonder it's known for serving the best coffee in Austin. "We filter coffee, not people"🤎 (please go thru the pictures I've uploaded)
Came here to have morning coffee. We had a latte and an iced latte. Dine-in drinkware was nice. I liked my latte and my wife's iced latte was fine but maybe iced wasn't the best choice since it was pretty cold inside. Service was friendly, atmosphere was pleasant, and there were inviting and comfy seats inside and ample seating outside. Almost missed the place because I didn't see a business sign on the building--but I did spot their sign by the road. Parking was easy, though. Nice coffee shop.
TLDR: aesthetically quirky, deliciously satisfying coffee. I’m glad I put this place on my Austin coffee stop list. I ordered a macchiato, after confirming that it’s a traditional Italian style macchiato. It was pretty nice. The espresso was well balanced, and had a beautiful little milk foam heart on top. My second drink was a cappuccino. I can’t say the espresso is the best espresso. I’d say something like second tier top shelf. The aura of this place is roomy and chill. The staff were friendly but professional. Got to the point without much extra banter, but in a refreshing way. The space is great. Outdoor seating on at least two sides of the building, and two large spaces for working inside. This whole area of Austin here on the street feels somehow artsy meets privilege meets progressive meets poverty. It’s a very welcoming vibe. A record shop and vintage shop share the rundown shopping center, and all along this road is more of the same. The clientele here was so diverse. I saw the biker (cyclist and motorcycle both) the student, the homeless (based solely on superficial observations)the artist, the business professional, the “soccer mom”, and the remote worker. The vibe of the place and a good cup of coffee makes this is a fun place to stop.
Great place. I remember coming up here from Houston in the middle of the night one time and seeing the coffee shop full of people! I still go here. Delicious coffee. The jam biscuit was terrible. I asked to heat it up but it still didn't taste good. Could've been a bad batch, or their bakery just isn't up to the mark. But they are a coffee shop and they make great coffee. The vibe is good. My friend even worked there one day and really enjoyed it. Good place to chill or study or work from.

My favorite is lychee London fog tea. Barissta recommended it to me, and now it is my favorite--great ambiance, eclectic, and good music.
Hilarious staff. Cold brew was perfection. Strong, refreshing, and not bitter. Housemade syrup was tasty. Rosemary salt bagel was good but a little over toasted. Will definitely come back.
I stop here regularly during my lunch walk and everyone is always nice but more often than not, the guys behind the counter will finish the conversation they’re having before greeting the next person or making the next drink. Once they say hello, they’re always super nice, it’s just annoying to have to wait for them to finish their conversation before being greeted or getting my coffee most times.
This really has that hipster coffee shop vibe. The atmosphere is nice, the people cool, and the coffee was delicious. My wife got a cappuccino and I got the latte. Price was fair and they called my name right away. I like that they seemed to have a lot of places to sit even though they seemed pretty busy. The little touches inside are cool such as the Crown moulding wooden menu and all the decorations. Epoch coffee also has an outdoor sitting area if you wanna sweat while chugging your Java. It’s really a cool coffee shop, even if it feels out of place in that neighborhood.

horchata slush - 4/5 asked for 1/2 sweet which was the right call. Seems like a chill environment and lots of turnover with people coming in and out, lots of space to study.
The service was not great. The guy who helped us was rude, and uncaring, and rushed us to make a decision. The dessert selection was not appealing. I would recommend looking at the dessert area first before you purchase. The cold brew coffee was regular and Horchata Blended was not good - too much cinnamon. The atmosphere was chilled.

Please like this if you've felt personally victimized by Tyler (the mean barista). Other than that coffee was okay, you might run into your ex on the porch! If you ignored the evil baristas then u can have a great time ! Didn't try the pastries, my friend did they were good but Tyler was rude about those too /:
Great environment and employees. But, I have a question about their sandwiches.... Please explain to me how a sandwich that my child can make better is almost $10 dollars. I'm sorry, whose making these prices? It had one slice of cheese, like three slices meat with mustard and mayo lol.
Staff was rude, answers questions with eye rolls. They were also loud, with one employee yelling and throwing boxes around behind the bar. The coffee was mediocre, and the music was way too loud. O…

Truly, as an unhoused member of the LGBT community, I had consistently felt supported and welcome at this location until recently. The barista, Matty; seemed to find it frustrating that I extend my desire for warmth and ability to rest amidst working on my music projects while they are on shift. Honestly, it seems there was more to the story as to why there was an aggressive mentality toward someone who has made purchases within the establishment, but also applied for a job given the premise of the community of proposed “acceptance” that is supposed to dwell there. After today, I can’t say I feel welcome and viewed without being judged by my external circumstances. Thanks EPOCH
I was so excited to take my mom and my sisters here bc I really liked their drinks, but I was so disheartened to see how my mom was treated by a worker. My mom was resting her foot on my chair. And this person (I believe AMAB, white), hopped over her foot. My poor mom apologized, and this person didn’t even turn to look at her. Who does that? He could’ve said excuse me?? Or gone around? There were many places to go through. Treated us we weren’t even people. I see someone else complained about them already, and they were also POC. We are Mexican American. We were at a loss for words. Too stunned to speak. I’m inclined to think this person is racist. I am so upset.
