⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An outstanding experience from start to finish. This Indian restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The place is spotlessly clean, welcoming, and beautifully maintained, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. What made the visit even more special was the exceptional service from the owner himself. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure every detail of our dining experience was perfect. That level of personal care is rare to find. The food was absolutely delicious, authentic, and full of rich flavors. Every dish tasted fresh and perfectly prepared. Without a doubt, one of the best Indian food experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended I will definitely be coming back.
Me and my family went there last night. It was an experience. Our server (i assume he was the owner) was very passionate about their food. He brought sauces (the jalapeño mint was AMAZING) checked on us in a way that made us feel like guests in his house. He talked to the babies... and in my opinion they have the best rice. Their plain bismatti rice is amazing. I had the lamb saag, and garlic naan... I left stuffed. Their flavors are intense... but most of all they are proud of their food, you can tell. Take your family here! Money well spent!
Very delicious over all! Restaurant was very clean, amazing service, staff made me feel welcomed. The food was up kept warm, chicken was juicy. Mango lassi was very tasty!
So Chef John offers a unique Sweet Fenegreek Chicken Tikka Masala which you can request dark meat version but it was amazing on the visits the Sweetened Cardamon Rice Pudding is great they offer Buffet Options so you can try different dishes.
The food here is really tasty! We always enjoy stopping by here to eat. The quality is great and the flavor is incredible
My family has been eating at this restaurant for around 20 years. It is consistently delicious. Love the buffet but dinner is great, too.
Service was absolutely unbelievable, and we got a free charge on naan. The chicken was great but the lamb was really the best experience. More people need to come here!!!! The staff are amazing and the food is no different, if you’re just looking for the best evening or noon, come here!
Quick, friendly; by far the best service I’ve had in San Antonio. Lamb curry and chicken tikka masala were extremely tender and delicious.
I found this on the way home from the gym... and all I can say is WOW! The folks here are super friendly, the dishes are reasonably priced and everything was absolutely delicious. The samosas had a nice garlicky flavor, and the chicken tikka had just a hint of spice. The rice pudding was like chai tea meets arroz con leche: it was really good! I will certainly return.
It’s been years since I’ve eaten here, and I have to say this restaurant continues to remain one of my favorites in San Antonio. The service is top notch. The wait staff greets you at the door, shakes your hand, and walks you to your seat. They are polite, warm, and welcoming. Honestly feels like you’re going to a friend’s house to eat more than a restaurant. The food is delicious! It’s just as good as I remember it. Not too spicy, plenty of flavor, and never under cooked or over cooked. Hot food is hot and cold food stays cold. If the staff sees you’re about to eat the last bit of something, they politely ask you to be seated and proceed to bring you a fresh plate/bowl of whatever it is you were about to pick up. They do not skip on giving you the best! They keep the buffet area clean and tidy. Tables are bussed quickly and reset immediately. The overall atmosphere is warm and authentic. So happy to have returned here for lunch and looking forward to my next visit. Thank you!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – A Flavor-Packed Experience at Simis Indian Cuisine I don’t usually go for Indian cuisine, but Simis completely changed the game for me. The flavors were out of this world — rich, bold, and layered so perfectly that not a single extra seasoning was needed. You could tell everything was made with real love and care, just pure authentic Indian cooking at its finest. We went with the Family Platter (the one I’m posting above) — and though it says it feeds two, it easily fed three to four of us with no problem. Every bite was a new experience. The garlic naan with cilantro dipped in that mint sauce and paired with their spinach dish was absolutely insane. If you’ve never tried Simis before, do yourself a favor and hit it up at least once. You won’t regret it. Support this local gem — you’ll be tasting it again later in your dreams. 🙌🔥
This is my 5th time visiting this fantastic Indian Restaurant. The flavors are authentic and the buffet has plenty of choices to satisfy your tastes. Seasoned to perfection you will not be disappointed. They changed their buffet hours to 7 days a week from 11:00 to 2:30. Their tea has a great minty flavor and the Chai is to die for. Don’t hesitate to stop on by and have a great meal.
I went here for a solo lunch. I have been wanting to try local san antonio spots that offer different options. This spot really impressed me. My favorite item was the minced lamb meatballs and the chicken curry’s. The owners are super friendly and greet you immediately. 1 minute into walking in i was already serving my plate and getting ready to eat. The owner is constantly checking on you and taking plates, making refills, and serving everyone with warm Naan bread. If you’ve thought about coming here just make the trip it’s worth it. 😆
Food and service was excellent. Staff were friendly and the food did not take very long. We ordered the vegetable samosas (they were amazing), chicken biryani, butter chicken, and Naan. Everything was delicious and there was plenty, we had to take some home. All in all, I recommend stopping by.
I came for the all you can eat lunch buffet and it was incredible! And only $16! So much flavor in every dish. I had the Seekh Kebab, Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Curry. Had to tap out after my third plate. The service was incredible and even met the long time chef. Hard to believe there’s a better spot for the price in town.
I JUST got this order delivered and I could not wait to review it!! Absolutely delicious and delicate (but SPICY) Rogan Josh. The rice and bread were perfectly cooked and fresh and warm. The packaging worked - it was easy to carry, functional to a tee, no spills. I cannot wait to crack open this Chicken Tikka Masala… 😏
I walk in and the sweet staff greets and seats me immediately. The place is nice and clean. My server Julio not only looked good but smelled good. I told him I’m a new Vegetarian and he offered me all the vegetarian plates they had. He so kindly explained the sweet sauce and spicy sauce and what each vegetarian plate came with. This was my first time trying Indian food and I must say I am hooked. I will definitely be back to try every plate. Thank you Julio for your kind generosity.
Aah..out of few Indian restaurants i have tried in San Antonio, this restaurant will come Top of the choice. I wont forget the warm and lovely words of the service guy Lieu(If i pronounce it correct). He recommended me the Biryani to taste and it was awesome. Glad that i listened to his words. They serve Drinks as well. Fish Pakora is awesome in taste. Its a very nice place to bring family and friend as well. They take care of the level of spice by seeing faces of the people. Thank you guys.
Indian buffet with decent options, conveniently located not far from 410. Not my first choice in the area. Naan is lovely fresh but dries out quickly on the buffet line. The whole anise in the kheer makes sure it has a lovely flavor. The lamb meatballs tasted great. Saag had no paneer in it, but it tasted like a nice creamed spinach. My biggest complaint is that while the picking are slim, they also don't let the chicken simmer in the sauce before putting it out - basically they just added chicken directly to the pans on the line from a bowl. Iced tea is made with same spices as the hot tea, cinnamon, cardamom and clove. $35 for 2 buffets and 1 drink
This was my second time in any Indian restaurant. I went for the buffet and honestly I wasn't impressed with the selection of items. Flavor though was great from what was available. I loved the samosas and fresh garlic naan. Had a Mango Lassi as dessert and it was perfection with its refreshing taste.
First time here, ordered to go. Entering the place we were immediately greeted and employees were nice. I ordered butter chicken, white rice which was separate and Naan. Total cost was almost $20.00 and this was during lunch. The butter chicken is not typical butter chicken. I am not sure if they put sugar in this but the sauce that it's in was very, very sweet and had I known this, I would've ordered something else. The sauce was also very thin and soupy when I'm used to a thicker sauce. I probably will not return.
