We celebrate our birthday here every year! This year, the experience was amazing! The Manager Mike made sure our visit was enjoyable and so kind to give us gifts for our birthday! The staff is always so polite and the food is always delicious! They recently updated their sauces, and they are very good!
Celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday and it was perfectly lit for romance. Highly recommend the Pacific Rim selection of seafood for the tasty Mojo broth. The cheese fondue was superb and the chocolate fondue was a blast! We got sprinkles for all of the sweets. Staff is very nice. Great for date night!
The food and service were excellent. I appreciated the employee's consideration in asking about our allergy and the alcohol content in the dip.
Sami who was both our bartender and server was fantastic and extremely personable and sweet. Dave, one of the managers clearly cares not only about hospitality and service but about each guests personal experience. They were slammed by multiple large groups and we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for a reservation but they were so accommodating and they comped some of our drinks. Dave even walked us outside. They make you feel like family with fine dining.
I took my mom and aunt to The Melting Pot for a girls’ night out. My mom has knee issues, so I dropped her off at the entrance while I parked. By the time I got inside, they had already been seated in the middle of the restaurant. I asked if we could move to a more private side booth, and the manager, Dave, personally came over and helped us move. He was extremely friendly, welcoming, and made us feel so comfortable right from the start. Our server, Will, was fantastic! He was patient, kind, and very respectful of the fact that my mom and aunt don’t speak English. I had to translate quite a bit while he explained everything, and he handled it all with grace and a great attitude. The food was amazing — every course was delicious — and the drinks were strong (in a good way!). We had such a fun time and left completely full and happy. Big kudos to the new manager Dave and to Will for making our night so special. Highly recommend this place for a great experience and outstanding service!
Went for Seattle restaurant week! Amazing meal, my first time ever and I was very happy with my meal. The waitress was a gem! She took care of us without fuss! We all left satisfied and looking forward to returning.
Great experience! The food was delicious, we did the 4-course and everything was great. Sami was our waitress and she did great, very attentive and friendly. It was my birthday and they brought me a very sweet “happy birthday” item. Will definitely come back again 🥰
I went here for my 18th birthday with my family and it was amazing! The food was good, the chocolate fondue was my favorite part! The service was awesome and our waiter was so so so sweet! Highly recommend - it’s a good place to catch up with people because it takes a while for the food but I really like it!
Wow! Our first time to the Melting Pot and it did not disappoint. Our waitress, Maria, was also the bar tender the evening we came and had so many fun and helpful suggestions for drinks. She also walked us through the menu and what the experience is all about!! I felt more confident about ordering after her friendly advice and calming presence. This was a GREAT girl’s night. We will come again! Especially to see Maria. Drinks pictured are: Margarita (Tasty) Bee’s Tea (NA) Watermelon Cooler (NA)
Veronica was our server and she was so sweet and helpful! I am vegan and my boyfriend isn’t and she helped us navigate the menu to help us both get what we wanted. She was super awesome and told us about the owners and a lot of interesting facts about the people behind melting pot. Highly recommend especially with servers like Veronica!
Hands down, the best special occasion place we have been to. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is excellent. I highly recommend! Dessert is especially good and it’s very easy to get my teenage daughter to go out to dinner with me when I ask if she wants to go the Melting Pot!
Went here for my anniversary with my partner and it was amazing! He had been here before but I hadn't. He has severe allergies and they were super on top of being safe and accommodating for him and it was awesome. Our server was lovely (I cannot remember her name right now, I'm sorry, but they were really lovely and I loved the conversations we all had) and explained the menu well and was just amazing. Also, without us asking, they knew it was our anniversary and gave us a cute plate with 'happy anniversary' written in chocolate with some chocolate covered strawberries. Overall, we had a super lovely time and I feel like I could spend hours there. It's pricey, but so worth it.
Our server Alyssa was incredible!! Food was amazing and even though we stayed past closing time the entire staff was very kind and gracious with us. The music was also a vibe - we were dancing while eating the whole night! Highly recommend for a date night.
What a wonderful treat. We unfortunately didn't make reservations, which I highly recommend. But, we arrived fortunately at Happy Hour, which is amazing!!!. I had to show our bill of $58.00 for a 4 course meal is fabulous! Plus we wach had 2 drinks. The bar staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was scrumptious 😋. We started with their Orchard Salad with mixed greens, raisins, apples, candied pecans, cheese, and apple ranch dressing. Then, the charcuterie board of a variety of meats and bread. We also added a cheese fondue Classic Alpine with mixed veggies and bread to snack on. Absolutely delicious. Finally, the piece of resistance dessert, oh my goodness.... Chocolate fondue with a tray of yummy delicious items to dip into. We devoured it! Nothing was left. Again, I highly recommend going there at Happy Hour in the bar 🍸 😀 take advantage of the fantastic discount and enjoy the delicious food. We will definitely be back. We had so much fun!
We went and celebrated our anniversary here tonight and they really went above and beyond to make it a special night. I truly couldn't thank them enough. This was such an incredible experience
My girlfriend and I went here for our 1 year anniversary and oh my goodness was this place outstanding. Our server's name was Veronica and she brought such a good vibe to the table everytime she came over, she even offered to take pictures for us which was top notch. I highly recommend going here vegans and meat eaters alike will have all their needs met!
We went to this place for the first time for my birthday today, and it was worth it. Our server, Megan, just made the experience outstanding. We got the love martini and whiskey business for us adults and the blackberry lemonade. We got the entire fondue experience for 2. We got the alpine and spinach cheese fondue, house, california, and caprese salad. For the entree, we got the classic, steak lovers, land & sea, and Pacific rim with some meat substitutions. All the sauces were great, esp the spicy cocktail sauce. My son, who has steak, said it was pretty good. Both my kids loved the tabletop cooking experience. The yin-yang and the flaming turtle dessert fondue were awesome. It's worth celebrating a special event here.
We got married in a park the same day we got married. I reserved the table with reason of newly married but we were seated by a family with young kids that were a bit loud. After the family left the rest of our meal was incredible food service and all. Thank you Veronica for your amazing service
Went to the Melting pot on the night of our wedding, Always such an amazing experience! Veronica, our hostess did an amazing job! Great explanations of the dishes, quick and complete service. Really got the whole package. This has been our go-to spot, and will continue to be for years to come! Thanks Melting pot crew!
I took my friend here for her birthday in November and we had a blast! The food was fantastic and the service was top notch. We couldn’t finish all the courses, I recommend just getting the cheese and chocolate option. There is a parking garage nearby for east parking
I planned a special evening to purpose to my now fiancé. Gradin was our server and he did an amazing job. I had it all planned out with them before we arrived and after I purposed I told my fiancé I said I was nervous and Gradin said he was too as they told him when he came in for his shift that he was taking care of us and helping me purpose. He did great and I am very appreciative of him and The Melting Pot crew.
Absolutely amazing across the board. The food was exquisite and delicious! Our server, Veronica, went out of her way to make our experience amazing. When she heard it was our anniversary she went out of her way to personalize the experience and make it truly memorable. At every instance the service was amazing, if we had any questions they were quick with suggestions and prompt service. Thank you Veronica for making our night great!
We came for our 2 year anniversary and we’re so happy with the service and quality of the food. We loved our experience. Our server Veronica was amazing and so kind. Naveli was absolutely wonderful and creating such a great atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back for more special occasions!
My husband & I came to Seattle/Bellevue for my birthday weekend. We love Melting Pot back home and decided to try out this location. Dani was our server. She was professional, had a great vibe, great conversation, and overall just made the experience extremely pleasant. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area :)
The Melting Pot is a must for a special occasion ☺️ Suggestion to look at the menu ahead of time, since choosing and/or customizing four courses takes time. The longer the fondue or entree cooks, the more it changes the flavor and texture. We loved what we got though and recommended it if you've never been ❤️
We are regular customers but this time for my daughter’s bday was amazing, every single meal was super tasty and always the interactive experience is so much fun. Also the staff was incredible, Veronica and Dave were fantastic taking care of us all night long, loved this guys! A very special place for our family.
Iiiii love it here- this place isn't just a place eat, it's an experience! Staff are always very kind to everyone, they have lots of special nights/events to make the going feel more affordable, if budget is a worry. It's always a favorite day when I get to go here!
I came back for my 26 brithday to the melting pot in Bellevue for nostalgia after going to the Seattle location when I was younger for 5+ years with my family. Took friends for the first time and they were blown away by Veronica and Dave’s service. They made the brithday so special and fun, such a great atmosphere and service - on top of the food. Please come if you want to have a great time with even better company.
Had a fantastic time at The Melting Pot! Veronica was an amazing server—friendly, attentive, and made the experience fun. Manager Dave checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Great food, excellent service — we’ll definitely be back!
Our family loves going to Melting Pot for fun celebrations and have for years. It's a fun experience and accomodates different preferences. Im finally writing a review because we've happened to have Gradin taking care of us twice now and he's always attentive and laid back. We are a crew that asks for changes to the cheese recipe and extra dipping items and hes always happy to make it happen and checks in regularly. 5 stars for Gradin! He's a great asset to the team there!
Wow! In short- fun experience, delicious food, and great service. My fiancée and I came in for an early birthday dinner and we had a wonderful time. Our server/bartender, Will, hit all the marks. He was extremely attentive and mindful, shared some fun anecdotes, and most importantly made me a delicious old fashioned. He seemed to be quite knowledgeable about the menu and was happy to offer recommendations. Towards the end of the meal, (manager) Mike came to our table with a box of mystery envelopes and had me choose one. Our envelope had a 20% off coupon for our next visit! I appreciate the unique presentation as well as the whimsy of choosing your fate. His presence and personality definitely added to the experience. I did not grab the name of the hostess, but she was kind and welcoming and made sure to wish me a happy birthday. Every staff member I encountered did! It may not seem like a big deal, but that detail is regularly missed by hospitality workers elsewhere- not here though. Choosing to spend the evening surrounded by strangers celebrating you will never lose its spark in my opinion. I highly recommend the Wisconsin cheddar (especially if you're a fan of vanderpump rules and have been curious about "beer cheese") and the california salad. They were so filling and flavorful, we couldn't finish it and thats WITHOUT an entree or dessert.
I've been dining at various Melting Pot location for literal decades. We've taken my family to this one several times, always enjoy the food and the experience. We celebrated my daughter's birthday this evening and Grayden was so accommodating and lovely with our larger party that included some newbies and a younger kiddo. He handled all of our requests like a champ, and made the meal seamless and outstanding! My daughter already asked to go back and have him help us again once we got in the car.
Our family went for my granddaughter's birthday. Our server Gradin was amazing. Very attentive. Great with the kids. Made sure we had everything we could want or need. It was my first experience there, but my granddaughter's favorite. Dinner was fun and delicious.
Came here for our Valentine’s Day date, it was amazing. Dave and Ashley made sure we had everything we needed and have fantastic energy. They did an amazing job tonight. Love them ^w^
Me and my bf went here for our three year anniversary and we were not disappointed. The only issue we had is that we had to wait around 15-20 minutes for a table when I had already made a reservation for a specific time. The food was really good, we had the 50 year special and the our only problem with that was that the alcohol was too strong in the fondue but that’s just a matter of taste and opinion. The star of the show was our server Veronica, she is an amazing server and made our experience all the better. Even after working a full day she was so nice and quick to serve. When we told her it was our anniversary, during the dessert course she brought out a special plate that said happy anniversary and had two chocolate covered strawberries. It clear that this place is actually caring for their customers and there special days which I can appreciate.
I had an excellent experience at The Melting Pot in Bellevue thanks to my server, Elle. She was absolutely wonderful, pleasant, attentive, and so professional. The pacing of the meal was perfect, which I really appreciated since I was in town on business and needed to balance dinner with getting some work done. Everything came out smoothly, and Elle made the whole evening stress-free and enjoyable. What impressed me even more is that Elle is new—I would have never known if another server had not mentioned it. She carried herself with the confidence and care of someone very experienced. She is a natural at this, and The Melting Pot is lucky to have her. Highly recommend asking for Elle if you want a truly great dining experience!
Recently visited The Melting Pot in Bellevue with my family for a birthday lunch celebration on a weekend, and we had a wonderful experience. The front-of-house staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, and they went out of their way to make the celebration feel special. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very kid-friendly. Highly recommend—especially for special occasions!
We come to The Melting Pot every year for birthdays and anniversaries and it’s always a great experience. Gradin was awesome—super attentive, really friendly, and very respectful. He made everything easy and enjoyable.
Gradin was our server and was absolutely fantastic, got us everything so fast and was on top of everything for us! Also was very friendly and funny! Would definitely recommend to anyone!
The Melting Pot offers a delightful dining experience that is both interactive and delicious. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the fondue, and the dessert melting chocolate with strawberries, which was simply heavenly. Each dip was a perfect blend of rich, smooth chocolate and fresh, juicy strawberries. However, our choice of the lemon-flavored broth for the main course was a bit of a letdown, as it overpowered the natural flavors of the ingredients. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the exceptional dessert alone makes The Melting Pot worth a visit.
Loved the experience, both the service and food was on point! Will definitely visit again with a group. One thing to point out, me and my wife ordered 2 drinks each and we were charged liquor charge which was quite unusual. I’m not a fan of hidden charges and didn’t appreciate this charge. There was an additional ‘Surcharge’ of $7 which I have no idea what I was paying for… Restaurants should avoid such practices and enable transparency
The last time went to the Melting Pot was 7 years to the day in Wa DC. You go here for a special occasion & ours was a 30th birthday!! The food is very good & worth the experience! So another words you are paying a pretty steep price for food & an experience! We were there for about 3 hours in total the way the time is spaced out was pretty good except the last corse of the meal was dessert & that felt like took a little bit longer however I will say it did get busy & we were very full by that time so maybe waiting a little longer was good! All in all this experience reminded me why I loved the Melting Pot 7 years ago for my own birthday! Great food & great service clean & beautiful location!
Great place to eat with friends or family. Don't expect a quick in and out. Our party of five was there for three hours. Wisconsin cheese dip is amazing. Steak entree probably had the most food.
The Food was great. Our waiter Will was one of the nicest I've had in a while. Even when he messed up, he was straightforward and didn't try to cover it up. He was super nice, very fun to be around, and overall an excellent waiter. 11/10 waiter. The hostess who we interacted with was curt, and didn't seem to know what she was doing. When her boss was around she was a whole different person and didn't treat people who don't have reservations like trash. She hardly did her job. 1/10 hostess. Once was got past the hostess, it was a very casual and overall fun experience. Whole experience was 8/10. -From the child who managed to aquire a phone
We had a reservation for two and they still made us wait 20 minutes after the booked time. Extremely expensive. Underwhelming experience. Food is OK. Service was friendly.
I really enjoy The Melting Pot, and if you’re going to come, weekend lunch is absolutely the move. The lunch specials are such a good value: three courses for $36 solo is fantastic, especially for a place that’s usually considered a splurge. It’s one of my favourite “treat” spots, and lunch makes it feel accessible. That said, the service scripting is very noticeable and really cringey. At lunch, I could immediately tell what lines were scripted, and while our server was wonderful and attentive, it really pulled me out of the experience. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty, I felt like I was being gently rushed out. I repeatedly told him that if they needed the table, to just say so; which shouldn’t be necessary at a place where the dishes are meant to encourage lingering. I came back the next night for dinner with my cousin visiting from England. She had a great time and loved the experience overall, as did I — but she independently commented on how awkward the scripted service felt, and it was her first time. That tells me this isn’t just personal taste; it’s an issue with how the restaurant trains its staff. Dinner had additional frustrations. The hot pot entrée timing was inaccurate, and the potatoes took nearly 30 minutes and were still essentially raw — which is not just unpleasant but unsafe. Even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, we again felt rushed to leave, which is uncomfortable when you’re spending over $200 on a meal designed to be slow and social. Staff experiences varied by day. The Friday lunch host was lovely and kind, and the Friday manager (a larger man) was respectful and professional. The Saturday dinner hostess, however, was abrasive, rude, and condescending. The Saturday night manager was polite but overshared extensively and crossed professional boundaries; it felt inappropriate and distracting, and some additional training in professional communication would go a long way. Our server for both visits, William, was excellent: attentive, kind, and genuinely great at his job. We made sure his managers knew that. Overall, I still enjoy The Melting Pot and will likely return - especially for lunch - but the heavy scripting, rushed pacing, inconsistent management professionalism, and cooking issues really hold it back from being the relaxed, elevated experience it once was.
We were disappointed with how we were treated by the hostess. Despite having a reservation, we waited 45 minutes to be seated. We understand it was a busy night, but the lack of apology and the rudeness were upsetting. On a positive note, our server Will was extremely kind and made the experience much better.
We went to The Melting Pot on Valentine’s Day with another couple for the advertised “luxurious 5-course experience starting at $118 per guest.” What we received was nowhere near luxurious, romantic, or worth the price. We arrived for our 9:30 PM reservation and were greeted by Valentine’s decorations that honestly looked like they were purchased from a dollar store. It immediately set the tone for what was supposed to be a special evening. After being seated, we waited about 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. The service wasn’t rude, but it was far from warm, polished, or attentive — especially for a premium Valentine’s dinner. The restaurant was brightly lit and very loud. We could hear other tables complaining about issues with their servers. There was absolutely nothing romantic about the atmosphere. We even had to ask for the first course (the “First Bite” mini bruschetta), which should have been brought automatically. For the cheese fondue, we ordered the Hot Honey Alpine and the Black Truffle Cheddar. The fondue is prepared tableside, which could have been nice — except we had to point out that the pot on our table was dirty before the server started adding ingredients. Flavor-wise, both fondues were extremely disappointing: • The Hot Honey Alpine had no noticeable honey flavor. • The Black Truffle Cheddar had zero detectable truffle flavor — no one at our table could taste any truffle. The cheese was fine overall, but portions were tiny. The server had to squeeze awkwardly between couples to prepare the fondue, going back and forth multiple times because ingredients were kept elsewhere. At one point, the server was smelling one of the containers to confirm something with another server. Not exactly the refined, luxury experience we expected. The dippers included bread, tomatoes, raw broccoli, and a heart-shaped bread that seemed like it had been made the day before. The next course was a very plain, small salad on a tiny plate — extremely basic. For the entrée, we ordered the Heart’s Desire. The quality of the meats and seafood themselves was good. However, the only cooking option offered was broth (their “classic cooking style”). There was no grilled or fried option. That meant dipping pieces of meat into broth and essentially eating steak boiled in warm water. The vegetables were potatoes and raw broccoli with no seasoning, cooked in the same broth. For a $118+ experience, this felt incredibly underwhelming. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Fondue and Disaronno Meltdown, served with strawberries, brownie pieces, and Rice Krispies treats. It was decent, but again — nothing special or memorable. To make things worse: • A mandatory 20% gratuity was added. • A 4% surcharge was added to all guest checks “to help offset increasing costs.” • The restaurant clearly states that the 4% surcharge is retained by the restaurant and not distributed to staff. Our total bill for four people, with just three glasses of wine, was over $700 for an experience that felt far from romantic or luxurious. Adding an automatic 20% gratuity removes any incentive for servers to go above and beyond, and adding an additional 4% surcharge that doesn’t even go to staff feels excessive and unreasonable at this price point. The entire dinner took nearly three hours due to delays in preparation and service, all while listening to other guests complain in the background. What makes this situation even more absurd is marketing the night as a romantic, luxury experience and delivering something that felt lower quality than a casual chain restaurant. I’ve been to many fondue restaurants around the world, and this was by far the worst experience — and the most expensive. If you want to charge $700 for dinner, the service, atmosphere, and execution need to match that price. Don’t decorate like a discount store, don’t create a loud casual environment, and don’t add hidden-style surcharges that don’t benefit staff. This was a major disappointment and not how a Valentine’s Day should feel.
The people here at the Melting Pot are not very accommodating. Nor is management, (the same attitude as the rude hostess I mentioned in my initial review.) There wasn't anyone there, but they refused to let us have a table with 2 pots, to get cheese & meat fondue at the same time. Apparently, every table is "reserved"!!! 🧐🙄🤬😡 LMAO!!! Not one (1) table came in from the moment we walked in, ate and left!!! Critical thinking skills would have allowed us ANY of the several tables with 2 pots. But, they prefer to teach customers a lesson. They want reservations. So, don't walk-in unexpectedly and disturb their backroom chatting and laughing (no one is ever at the front hostess stand, you ALWAYS have to wait until they are good and ready to come out.). I guess they spend so much time back there, that they don't know we can hear them?! (Especially when the restaurant is basically EMPTY!). 😱🤯 And, the hostess is powertripping and VERY annoying. Stop with all the fricken questions!!! If we say we have been there before, just get us a table - we aren't there for a 3rd degree! She made us wait 5 minutes, to show us who is boss! (Even though the restaurant was basically EMPTY!) 🙄🤪😳 Thank you for letting us know that your rudeness never gets checked. We will finish using the coupons that we purchased to get 50% the value to use towards future meals last year and after we exhaust them, we will NEVER return! 👏👏👏 Good Job!!! 🥳🎉😘 You can keep chatting and laughing in the back, while customers walk out and away for good... Bye - Bye!!! 🎬
We went on Christmas Eve night to celebrate a birthday and the holidays and unfortunately our experience in the beginning ruined the meal. We had a reservation for 8pm and checked in promptly. We ended up waiting about 55 minutes for a table. While we understand that it’s busy and a holiday, it was also really upsetting. I think we checked in with the hostess 2 times throughout the long wait and she was curt in those interactions. When we finally got seated, it was at a 4 chair table and there was an open 4 person booth right behind that table and so we asked the hostess if we could be put at that table instead and she said “there’s no changes, you’ll sit where we seat you”. We were absolutely blown away. While our server was fantastic and friendly, it did not make up for the interactions with the hostess and the 55 minute wait. Part of our food or drinks were not even compensated for the long wait which was disappointing. The food was good, though for the amount of cheese it’s not much bread you’re given. We ordered both the alpine and Wisconsin cheddar and both were very good, 4/5. The dessert was fine, we got the pure chocolate 1/2 dark and 1/2 milk. The dipping options were VERY rich (chocolate chip cookie, pound cake, brownie) and I would’ve loved more fruit options for dipping, 2.5/5. The server and bartender were great.
