Good food and nice service

Been going here since day one! The food is great with serving sizes being gigantic! Best bang for your buck! Service is fast and highly attentive. Bathrooms are clean and they have good water pressure. When George is behind the burners things get even more interesting and sometimes you get free coffee and cake on the house. Their birthday surprise truly is a surprise for those who don't know... Better than Applebee's 💯💯💯

My wife and I were invited here by a friend for a quick bite and it feels like I never left. We lived in Queens and crossed the bridge regularly and now we live out of state and are still regular customers. The service is great. The food is amazing and ridiculously under priced. Great place.. P.S. The quesodillas are bananas...

My food was delicious. It looked so good to the point I forgot to take a pic, just dived right in (blaming it on pregnancy). I ordered the fried shrimp. It came with a baked potato, steamed mixed veggies and salad. It totaled about $15.50. Well worth it. Everything was good. The steamed veggies were seasoned very well. Enough for two people (depending on your appetitie). I didn't even get to eat the salad because I am stuffed. I wanted to get a Sunkist soda but they wanted $2.25 so I got that from the corner store. Will recommend.

Usually very busy, but great service and huge portions for cheaply priced food. The George's special is always great and can easily be made into two meals! For only $8! George himself is usually here and will shake your hand or help in anyway if you have a problem! I definitely come here when I am stressed and need some good food!

I don't usually give five stars because I believe there's always room for improvement. But George's is my absolute favorite diner. Great food at great prices and the best/friendliest staff. It's an open kitchen style diner so you know the kitchen is clean and well ran. The line cooks are fast yet I have never had to send a dish back because it was under cooked. Raymond is my favorite server at George's. He makes me fee like family. There's only street parking. Some with meters but I always find something near by.

Staff was extremely friendly and was more than helpful. Store had a bright sign on the outside and seems smaller from the windows than it actually is in the restaurant. Food came very fast and seating was pretty much instant. We ordered a couple appetizers first before ordering our mains, but the staff was more than helpful letting us take our time with our choices. Portion sizes were much larger than expected and was well worth the cost. For our group of 3 the bill came out to about ~$40 not including tip. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area as it's very close by to Westchester square and stands out compared to nearby options like Sky View Diner and National Diner. Very inviting and warm atmosphere.

Great food and fabulous customer service. The Mexican omelet and pancakes were divine. Very, very welcoming place! Can get pretty busy on Saturday mornings so go early as there will be a line going out of the door. Looking forward to trying dinner next.

The food is excellent. The place is big and spacious. The waiters speak both English and Spanish. The food comes extremely quick and it is SOOO GOOD. I will strongly recommend going there for breakfast or lunch. And come hungry...the food on that plate is so much, it will keep you full until dinner time.

My first impression was nice, and clean. I ate inside with my 1 year old and 7 year old kids. We were treated very courteous by the waiter. Price was average. Will definitely return soon.

Incredible food and customer service. Recent renovations have expanded the diner to allow almost double original occupancy (a welcomed sight for those of us who have been coming here for years). You're likely to see the namesake at some point throughout the day, either helping the cooks or checking on customers. George's is a great eatery and even better experience.

one of the best diners in NYC! When they were smaller you enjoyed it and complained....now that they have renovated it and there is more room...its even better. Parking can be a challenge, but not so big a challenge that you won't go there!! The staff is great, not always attentive but once you have your plate...you will forget that until you want a coffee or water refill...lol!

This neighborhood diner has consistently offered great food for a great price. This diner gives generous portions of food too. When you eat here be ready to carry some home for lunch or dinner. Plus the food is fresh and the service is fantastic. You won't be disappointed.

George's Diner is excellet for breakfast Im going to tell you why they use 2 diffent batters for Pancakes & Waffles. Most places use the same for both.

I went yesterday with a female friend at 12:30PM, Saturday December 2, 2023. Excellent food, calm family atmosphere. The only annoying thing is that the waitress kept asking, " more coffee, more coffee"? Other than that I love this diner. Great to take parents, girlfriend etc.

Went for the first time on a busy Sunday (father's day weekend) with my whole family. Service was good. Food amazing. Portions great, not oily, or not salty. Went back for takeout. The food was packaged perfectly with the same portions as if dine in service. Loved this gem of a diner. Can't wait to try there home delivery.

I love this place. I go all the time and am one of their regulars. The staff is inviting, the portions are huge, and as busy as they are, they never miss a beat. A lot of the times, George himself will be working with his staff to make the magic come together. This place is excellent 5 years later... Still a regular. Still love them. They're amazing.

The food here is excellent. The prices are very good. The wait staff is extremely friendly. The George's breakfast comes with everything. Bacon sausage a pancake home fries and three eggs. The size of the restaurant is not that large but I've never waited more than five minutes for a table. Love the Cuban sandwich also. A must for anyone in the area that's hungry.

Great local diner! Classic diner feel with comfort food. My favorite plate is George's special, even if it's a little hard to finish. It includes eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, french toast and a pancake that covers almost the whole plate. Met the owner once and he was a fantastic guy!

This place is truly a delight. It's become my every Friday spot for breakfast. The food is really good and the workers are a delight. The pancakes are good. The French toast is good. The bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel is good. The western omelet and home fries are good. These are some of the dishes I have tried and they haven't missed yet.

Not a thing is wrong with this diner. I normally would give a place like this a 5 🌟 star rating but because this place is always crowded and parking in the street is always a hassle I'm giving George's 4 🌟 stars. The food here is great, in fact worth 5 🌟 stars alone and the service is on par. Prices are reasonable. The only problems I have is it's always crowded and there is usually a waiting period for you to be seated and parking in the street is limited and sometimes hard to find.

My experience was great there, I ordered scrambled eggs with turkey sausage and home fries and it was delicious. The way they serve the complimentary OJ is awesome and unique. Don't go in there expecting a A rated 5 star restaurant go in there with the intent to get great food at a low price. I would give it a 4 and a half star if I could and since the bathroom wasn't really clean it couldn't get the perfect score.

Good breakfast for the price. The steak was a bit overdone as was the egg, but the food came quick. The waitress was attentive and kind. If u want a quiet place this is not 4 u. They shout the orders right in the front.

Dine in or Take out, the food is pretty good here and the food portions are on the plus side, you will be able to share your food. pretty good service, lively environment, two TVs. Diner style counter, if alone. Bathrooms well kept and segregated from the environment. we were treated to an after dinner surprise and treat at no extra cost. Definitely would eat from here again or at the very least, take out a Sausage & Egg on a roll, breakfast bliss.

George's is our go to eatery. The owner and staff are super friendly and always remember you. The food is better than what you expect from a typical diner with special items named after the owner that are just super tasty. I would give it 5 stars, but there is a wait list at busy times. But it's worth the wait.

My 1st time there. So I can't speak about the rest of the menu. I ordered a Belgian waffle. The waffle was Huge, Thick & Fluffy. At other diners, many times, they would only have 1 piece of fresh fruit. Here I asked and received plenty mixed Fresh Fruit. They grilled my beef sausage (not deep fried) and another surprising item that I asked and received... Honey. You would b surprised how many diners don't have honey, or IF they do, it's those tiny prepackaged honey. Here they gave me a small disposable cup, w/more than enough honey for my Waffle & Sausage. George's had a big & busy staff. To me, that tells me its popular in the area, more important, the food moves fast. Which means food is fresh. A man named George, who I assumed is the owner, went around speaking to the customers at their booths. Which I thought was cool. Though, I'm sure his alterior motive was to apologize for the poor heating. Didnt bother me, I like it chilly. The only set back, no parking lot. Street parking only. Not like the many in Qns I've been to. My bill $14 with a $3 tip. Total $17

We decided to eat breakfast after a funeral mass because no one had eaten breakfast. We google a breakfast place, and this was one of the selections. We had to wait at least 15 minutes. This diner is good for a quick regular meal, nothing fancy. Their salad, especially the George deluxe, is huge and really good, i mean, it will satisfy you! They pile on the grilled chicken like there's no tomorrow, seriously...and it is good. So try it out. The only thing that turns me off about this place is that it could use a good cleaning; the floor is dirty and the place just seems like it could use some polish.

I have been going to George's for a few years and had a cheeseburger deluxe. I was highly disappointed because the burger had no flavor and the sesame seed bun was dry and tasteless as well. My wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium and it came well cooked, she sent it back and it came back well cooked again. She also complained that the bacon lacked flavor. The service was good. We usually are satisfied with the food here but this time it was not up to an acceptable standard.

Jeanette is always amazing and attentive. I do enjoy the food there, however, I will say the prices seem to be a bit high. If your bagels aren't fresh, and they're coming from a bag that was previously frozen, there's no way you should be selling that for $2 and that doesn't include cream cheese. If you serve quality, people wouldn't have an issue paying for it but don't hike up prices for trash. Otherwise, the service is amazing!

Hot chocolate out a machine, not freshly prepped. Vast menu, few appealing options. Dining room... big and cold, for large crowds. I had to eat with my jacket on it was so cold. Note to Owner: Your restaurant is a neighborhood classic! Don’t leave it in the old ages. Offer vegan/ vegetarian options. And turn on your dining room heater in the winter.

Unfortunately my experience here was not as good as others. It was my first time at the diner on Monday morning 8/26. When I walked in the waitress attempted to sit me down on a table near another customer but since there was so much tables available I asked if I can choose a table near the window and she said yes. She did not specify that the table I chose was not in her section. Me and my partner sat there waiting for her to provide us with menus and take our order. It was odd that she never came to us because the diner was empty. Another couple walked in after us and she gave them water, menus and spoke with them as we stood there waiting. At this point I asked why was she taking their order before ours since we had arrived first. She rudly said "you are not sitting in my section" then pointed to the waitress who suppose to take our order but she was sitting down eating. She then slammed menus on my table and seemed bothered that she had to take our order. I asked for the manager and she refused to get him, she said he was busy downstairs. I ended up leaving the diner. I've always wanted to eat at this diner but unfortunately I will not be returning.

I ordered 2 grilled chicken wraps w/fries. Bacon was raw and chicken was soaked with oil. The waiter tried to make it up by giving me well done bacon and extra oily chicken and charge me no tax. I was totally annoyed that I still had to pay $36 for food I didnt eat and for extras that I didnt ask for. I would have been happy just to pay $15. Good heart, bad business.

Terrible Experience! AVOID AT ALL COST I encountered a shocking level of service here. The waiter was rude and condescending (male working 11/23 at around 1 pm), which made for an uncomfortable dining atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn't meet expectations either, it was quite unpleasant. I ordered a Lumberjack breakfast and asked if Oreos could be added to the pancakes. The waiter, with an attitude, informed me that there would be an extra charge. The Lumberjack itself was priced at $14.95 (without the Oreos), but I ended up being charged $21.70 because he broke down the charges separately. When I spoke to the manager, he claimed they charge $2 per stack of Oreos, totaling $6 for that. Here’s the breakdown: - Regular stack of pancakes: $10.85 - Oreo pancakes: $11.95 - Lumberjack: $14.95 It just doesn’t add up. Additionally, my mother ordered a steak quesadilla, and when it arrived, it was soupy and not edible. I recommend avoiding this place entirely!
