Tip: Ask the bartender for recommendations, especially if you're new to sake. The white peach fresh fruit cocktail is highly recommended, but be prepared for a 10-minute wait.

Pretty chill place for happy hour food and drinks. Skewers are a little salty but the drinks made it up
Update: went back. Cocktails were still on point. Service was still friendly and engaging (and our bartender remembered us). Food was amazing (so much cheese!) **** A hit of a bar from the people who brought us Angel’s Share. The shared punch cocktail (Love is Like a Cocktail) is absolutely delicious, as were the skewers I tried. A definite return is in the works!
Nice bar with Japanese liquor styled drinks made by very nice staff. Seats were comfy and the drinks were great! Vibe was friendly and laid back. Prices average for NYC. They also have a food menu we didn’t try which looked yummy. Would revisit.
For starters the first drinks were very traditional Japanese cocktails. They were Hakutake Shiro & Aka Kirishima - they ask you if you would like it neat or on the rocks etc. The second drinks were highballs which is Suntory Toki whisky.. club soda.. and your choice of flavor. We got the watermelon & pineapple which were very refreshing & comes with a piece of fruit as well, but the alcohol is very light. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. Very secluded place to have a drink.
loved the traditional aspect of everything. the fish was so fresh and decedent. we got the salmon caviar donburi.
Came here multiple times to order the same dish lol everything was great~! 😊

Love this place. Top notch drinks. Yummiest menu. Easiest ordering experience and the most attentive staff. One of my favorites bars in Bklyn.
Food and drinks were great! The atmosphere is also very nice and staff is super friendly. Isaiah and John are super nice! Definitely would come back!
One of my favorite bars in all of New York. Charming and cozy interior, great music (typically Japanese City Pop) and friendly staff (Ashley and Isaac are the best!) They serve one of my favorite beers here - the Suntory Premium Malt - and it's always poured to perfection. My girlfriend loves their cocktails, creative and well-balanced. I drop in at least a couple times a month and I've never had anything but a fantastic experience. I always feel at home here. Not only great for couples/dates but also to stop by for a quick pint after work. Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough.
Loves this place is sexy, kool. Really nice bartenders. Love the mix drinks and love the vibe of the place. The decor is simple and relaxing. And you will meet people from all around the world that come here.
Stumbled upon Oldies while hanging out in industry city with my husband and couldn’t be more pleased! I never tried sake before, but the bartender Ashley suggested we try a flight. She walked us through each drink and was very knowledgeable regarding flavors and pairings. We weren’t planning on eating there, but after learning I was a vegetarian Ashley showed me a menu to look at for a future visit. My husband and I decided to get a few small dishes and were not disappointed! The food was amazing! The best part of our visit though? Ashley! It was a pleasure talking with her and we will definitely be back to eat and drink at Oldies!!!
The restaurant was ok and food was decent, very fairly priced. But the bar was AMAZING. Carlos has to be the best bartender ever. I got the white peach fresh fruit cocktail and it was so refreshing and delicious. It took him about 10 minutes to make it and it was worth the wait. Highly recommend for date night, cute small dimly lit cozy bar.
Let me share why I absolutely love this hidden gem of a Japanese bar nestled in the heart of Industry City, Brooklyn. Known as "Oldies," this bar/restaurant is a haven for those seeking a unique and memorable experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the lovely Ashley. Her friendly demeanor and expertise instantly made me feel at ease. She wasted no time recommending two drinks featuring Japanese whisky, and I must say, they were exceptional. My personal favorite was the classic Old Fashioned, crafted to perfection with a delightful Japanese twist. Not only does Oldies excel in their drinks, but their food is also top-notch. I had the pleasure of trying their Chicken Teriyaki, which was a revelation. The dish was bursting with freshness and flavors that delighted my taste buds. It was evident that great care was taken in the preparation, resulting in a truly delicious culinary experience. Overall, Oldies is a fantastic place to spend the night. Its cozy and hidden atmosphere adds an air of intrigue, making every visit feel like a special occasion. The combination of Ashley's warm hospitality, the superb selection of Japanese whisky-based drinks, and the mouthwatering food options make this establishment a true gem. Whether you're a whisky connoisseur or simply seeking an extraordinary evening, Oldies in Brooklyn's Industry City is an absolute must-visit.
They had a good selection of cocktails, beer, sake, and small plates. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, even though you could place orders on your phone. Outside seating was spacious and warm. While we were there we could hear the live music in the courtyard. Check out Industry City’s website for future live music dates.
Oldies is well worth your time. We come in for a couple of drinks most times we shop at Japan village or ends meat (or sahadis or anywhere else at IC). Cocktails are delicious, every bar snack/yakitori/etc. we’ve had has been very delicious. Bartender is extremely knowledgeable and personable. It’s all great. Don’t skip the lamb chop yakitori

Beautiful space and delicious food. Also a great sale and Japanese whiskey selection. Highly recommend for dinner if you’re in the area
Came here for drinks with a few friends my friends got the sake flight and the strawberry drink that I don't actually remember the name of 😅. However I got the ginger whisky sour which is one of the best and most unique cocktails I had in the city. The ginger works amazingly with the sweetened agave.
Great service and nice spot for snacks and drinks! They have Local Sake and snacks like Karaage for light bites. A bit expensive, but good for special occasions.

Food was tasty but there was simply no correlation between the food we ordered and the food and drinks we got. I've never had quite that experience before.
Food is not the greatest and the portions are on the small side. Perhaps the cocktails are good. Three and not two stars because you can actually get a table in the chaos of Japan village on a Sunday. Maybe there’s a reason…
