Avis sur Radhuni Sweets & Restaurant Brooklyn
Highly recommend! Service and food excellent. The dishes exceeded what excellent normally means. Super friendly, helpful, descriptive. I found this pleasing restaurant through Yelp. No additional comments needed.
The dishes here represent good value for money. The food here contains no preservatives. The glowing reviews led me to this place with anticipation. Skilled employees who gave ideal suggestions and made my family chuckle during the meal. I seriously don't know a person who is ever disappointed coming out of here.
Each flavor combination showed remarkable understanding and skill. One taste explains the reputation. They have diverse offerings and workers who really care. The prices are low yet the food isn't disappointing. The employees here are particularly friendly.
This spot is a total gem if you're looking for a meal that won't break the bank and actually tastes decent. I'm talking about a place where $10 in 2025 still gets you a king's ransom: a samosa, a small beef curry, and a naan. You just can't beat that with a stick! And speaking of naan, these bad boys are always freshly made, so you know you're not getting some sad, pre-packaged flatbread. Now, a heads-up for your taste buds: the food here tends to lean on the spicier side, and they're not shy with the oil. So, if you're watching your waistline or have a delicate palate, consider yourself warned! I rarely grace their dining room with my presence, preferring to grab my grub and go. But honestly, for the price and the perfectly acceptable (and often fiery) food, it's a small price to pay for a convenient and satisfying meal.
Best Bangladeshi food I have had since coming to the US. Each and every dish was delicious and served like you would have back home. The restaurant has a full on deshi feel complete with a handwashing sink in the corner and water jug on the table. The staff treat you like long acquaintances. And the food is so cheap. While this Bangladeshi neighborhood is not as hip as Jackson Heights, I liked the food here much more. A must do for Bangladeshis visiting NYC!
BANGLADESH 🇧🇩 Eat the World NYC review: At some point around four years ago, the popular restaurant named Sugandha shuttered and the space at 483 McDonald Avenue underwent major renovations to become even more popular (and larger) Radhuni Sweets & Restaurant. The steam tables and all food were pushed to the back near the kitchen and the space was opened up for much more seating. As in other Bangladeshi spots in Bangladeshi neighborhoods around town, Radhuni feels like a community center at times, busy with men drinking tea and chatting or arguing. The steam table and counter might seem crowded and a bit of a fight, but the staff usually is friendly to those outside of the community and will make a point to help you. Just stand near the register and it will not take long. Feel free to ask questions about the food and come up with a good plan of action. Make an order, pay if they ask (sometimes you will pay after), and grab a seat. The water is already at the table and a small plastic cup will arrive with your selections if you have not been given it already. I can never pass up a good haleem ($5), and the one here is fantastic especially when you consider the price. Paired with a piece of naan ($1) fresh from the oven, it's an incredible meal. The dish is full of so many earthy flavors like wheat, barley, and lentils, but also fatty meats and spicy peppers. The dish is cooked for hours until it becomes thick and is easy to pick up with pieces of the bread.
This is where most Bengali people get their wedding food. It's that good. My favorite is always the box of tandoori chicken. Juicy. They also have a really delicious egg, potato, and meatball curry. So yummy! Love Radhuni. ❤️
Wide variety and good food. But the service is very typical Desi restaurant kinda service. I will judge the place only based on the food and the food is decent.
-Conveniently open 24/7. --Neat n clean most of the time. ---Inexpensive for breakfast - u can have a paratha roll with vege or suzi or eggs for $2.50 and $1 indian tea or coffee- unbeatable i would say! ----Reasonably priced lunch/ dinner items (indian subcontinent ppl likes to eat the same thing for lunch or dinner; they like to ear more in portion for dinner😁) -----Always plenty of curry choices for both vegetarian n omnivors. Their vege curries actually has spice n flavors. Always serve beef, lamb, goat and chicken. They will cook amazing duck curry in winter (desis believe duck meat n oil would warm them up naturally n keep the cold off) ------Various choice in rice as well such as morog polao, kacchi biryani, khichuri..Yum!Yum!😁 Personally love their afternoon snacks which are made fresh n only available for few hours every day- koliza samusa is damn spicy!but vege one or keema one is awesome! -------If you feel depressed and can not afford medications, here is an affordable alternative guaranteed to work or no money back: stop by during the evening time, grab a snack n tea/coffee, find an empty chair ( good luck with that) and enjoy the desi gossip free of charge. If you can manage to do it five days in a row, depression is gone..but anxiety would move in...😁😂
Good Bengali food. Taste is average. Place is dirty and have bad smell inside.
I came here late. The language barrier was what made it hard. I pointed to the chicken I wasn’t wanted 3 pieces and a little bit of beef and a little bit of goat on a bed of rice instead ther served me 3 plates of food and I wasted most of if. Food was nice a little cold though they ended up charging me 17 dollars
I'm a big fan of their HALIM. I'm a regular customer & can confirm almost all the time their HALIM is delicious. I mostly go & eat HALIM & parata. If you like Halim, go ahead, order & enjoy with parata or naan. I did try many of their other dishes, but the taste was not consistent. Atmosphere: Expect crowds & loud noises. Cleanliness: They need to keep the sink clean as it is dirty all the time. The restroom is also smelly & dirty. They need to work on this. Customer service: They're all nice people but definitely not the best service out there. I do recommend this place! Chai is also good 👍.
How do they even pass inspection? They serve spoiled food to people. Out of 10 nights, at least 8 times the food has some issue. Tonight again, I sat down to eat the chicken roast, and it had a terrible smell — completely inedible. Money comes and goes, but if you care about your health, please avoid eating here.
I ordered through their website as a carryout order. I went in to redeem my order at the counter and informed the cashier I was there to pick up my order, but he didn't say anything so I assumed he had gone to get my order. I waited more than 10 minutes before I saw him finally go grab an order, when I asked him if it was mine, he said no. When I enquired about my order, he seemed annoyed and said he didn't see my order in his system and asked me to pay in cash. I explained to him that I ordered through their website and that I had already paid including the Convenience Fee of $1.75; a tip of $1.50 and Tax of $1.33 and I showed him the receipt. He kept arguing with me and trying to make me pay for the food again without even trying to check my order from his side or offer any other solution. He then went to the back and got the owner, I explained the situation again and showed him my receipt and order information, but the owner was worse than the cashier; bad-mannered and rude, he started yelling and screaming at me and trying to make me pay for the order again in cash. I understand that not everyone is tech savvy and there are always issues with computers and services, but their behavior was completely horrible and unacceptable. I was recommended to this place by a co-worker and as a first-time customer, I cannot believe how I was treated for a $19.58 order, people like this don't deserve to be in business. In the end I never got my order, and I had to reach out to the service they use in their website to get a refund.
Today on 04/07/2025 at around 11:40 AM, I was eating food with a friend of mine. While I was eating, there was a foreign object in my food. This wasn't just a one time occurrence, this has happened multiple times back-to-back. I even once saw a food handler drop already cooked food on the floor and put it back into the hot tray ready to serve to an unsuspecting victim. On multiple occasions, you bite into their food and you chew on something hard and crunchy that isn't supposed to be hard and crunchy (it had garbage on the food). The food is not fresh, prepared poorly in an unhygienic environment by people who are not qualified to be cooking food. There are visible cockroaches in the kitchen. There are cockroaches and mice in the basement, which the entrance is right next to the dining area. There is a foul odor coming from the basement which is where they store food. Whenever you complain about these issues to the owner, he becomes very aggressive and dismissive about these issues.
Update: two times great experience, third time... I think I got food poisoning from them. --------------- Based on the first two experiences Haven't had food that reminds me of Kolkata or Dhaka in a long while. Looks like this will be a new favorite place to enjoy. Rui mach (fish), other small fishes, spinach curry, squash curry, goat curry, and doi (sweet yogurt) that transports you to another world for $30? Amazing. Note: I ate at least two meals worth of food.
