Avis sur Caffe Capri Bryan
The night before Valentine’s Day. A 40 minute wait during prime time; but we could wait at the Distillery across the street, said the owner who had greeted us at the door. A wonderful experience in itself, it was. Called back a few minutes before promised and greeted by name. We ordered Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan. They both were kicked up a notch, cleverly improved and so delicious and in portions too big for us to finish. The historical building, the layout of the place, the delightful ambient music the pleasant staff and the to-go Tiramisu we attacked when we got back home. All wrapped up, it was a wonderful early Valentine.
Very good place if you order the right things! It gets busy so I recommend coming early to get on the waitlist, then exploring downtown Bryan while waiting. The pasta dishes are absolutely amazing - I loved the tortellini all’s capri. Their pasta and sauces tasted authentic and one of a kind in the area. I wouldn’t recommend appetizers, as they are quite small, and the main dishes are more than enough. I would also recommend the raspberry cream soda if you have a sweet tooth. There’s table, booth, and bar seating. Overall, a great spot to get the occasional fancy dinner.
I had not eaten here in probably 12 years, but was pleased to know the quality of the food and the service is still as great as it was back then. I won't wait so long next time!
After a less than ideal experience at Frittella, we decided to come here to make the most of what was left of our anniversary evening. We expected that the food would be amazing, as we have been here many times before. What we did not expect was how amazing the staff would be. The kindness from our server and the manager had to be commended. Could not have asked for better quality service. On top of it, we were given an anniversary cannoli, which was phenomenal. We will definitely be back soon!
Cajun fettuccine with sausage was the best! My wife had the tortellini alla capri and she ate every bite! Service was exceptional and Adrienne was the best server. Can't wait to come back!
Wife and I went on a date to Caffe Capri. We were greeted at the door by some guy with a huge smile, the owner of course. The atmosphere was perfect. The service made you feel as if you were among friends. The food was delicious and the tiramisu was some of the best I’ve ever had. I order at every Italian restaurant. The tiramisu here is perfection on a plate. We really enjoyed the overall vibe. This is a destination venue. You come here because it’s everything a perfect date night should be. Great atmosphere, service and most importantly food. This will be our favorite place to visit when we are in town.
Super cute and quaint little restaurant. Owner was super friendly and accommodating, checked on us multiple times. Very cozy and good selection of pasta and drinks. Highly recommend the lobster and the Serena red wine if you like a sweet wine!! Tortellini was okay. Made our friends birthday special and we’re welcoming. Would definitely come back!! Note that there’s no reservations accepted so plan for a wait.. but it’s worth it!
Amazing, amazing, amazing as always. We haven't been able to visit in many years (we live in SA), but everything- from the delicious food to impeccable service- has remained the same. My wife went with her old favorites while I tried new menú items, and it did not disappoint. Owner Rami Cerone greeted every guest with a smile and can always suggest the right thing. We were so happy to be back and we hope to visit again soon.
Caffé Capri is my husband and I’s favorite restaurant in BCS. It’s perfect for a dressy date night, and consistently delicious. This is even where we chose to celebrate when we got engaged—it’s that good. The owner is always there, and all the staff are very attentive. I could not recommend this restaurant highly enough. Our go-tos are the raspberry Italian cream soda, the tortellini alla capri, and the baked penne.
I love family owned restaurants, clearly unique with delicious food and friendly staff. Located in beautiful and historic downtown Bryan, this is one of my favorite places. It’s a one-of-a-kind venue with a cool art deco feel. My favorite dish is the Cajun Tortellini. Props for fresh iced tea and good wine as well.
Caffe Capri is simply a great restaurant. The food is excellent! The chef prepares the food in an open kitchen as well as making their bread (served w/oil) fresh each day. Their prices are very good for the quality of service, the atmosphere and cleanliness of the facility and the top-notched service. We live in Pebble Creek and it is well worth the drive! Keep up the great service and the best dining experience!
Pleasant surprise in Bryan! Nice touches like olive oil and vinegar for bread dipping, refilled drinks, and pasta tasted home-made. Booths were comfortable and quiet enough to have conversation. Tiramisu was light and not too sweet. Great friendly service. Will definitely come again.
Every dish we’ve tried from the menu is consistently delicious — you truly can’t go wrong no matter what you order. The service is top-notch, and we were lucky enough to be taken care of by Drew again, who is always such a joy and adds so much warmth to the experience. Rami, the owner, greets us like family with the biggest hugs and makes sure everything is perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, but it’s the unbeatable combination of incredible food and heartfelt service that keeps us coming back. This place is a gem!
1st time here. Nice environment! Server/waitress was excellent! Checked in as needed, kept ice tea glass full. She even boxed up my leftovers! Good service = good tip. I had pesto ravioli, and sausage pepper sandwich. Just my opinion, I didn’t care for the sandwich bread.(ciabatta). Too thick and hard to bite thru and have to tug on it. Even difficult to cut thru using fork and knife. Others may like it and that’s just my opinion. I also got spaghetti meatball to go and will try to edit opinion for that later.
Caffe Capri is my absolute go-to for Italian food in the BCS area—hands down! You are guaranteed to find a meal on the menu that you'll love. My favorites include the Cajun tortellini, baked penne, and chicken parmigiana. Don't forget to order the mozzarella garlic bread; it's absolutely delicious, especially if you save some for your meal. Whenever friends or family are looking for a place to eat, I always suggest Caffe Capri, and they've always been delighted with the experience, especially those who are new to the restaurant. Additionally, my student organization was able to use the banquet space upstairs. We all had a wonderful time, and everyone was impressed by the food, service, and hospitality. Rami, the restaurant’s owner, and the rest of the team are always a pleasure to talk to. Rami is particularly engaging; he often strikes up a conversation and always asks how our meal was. Lastly, the atmosphere and the building itself are unique, with a rich connection to Downtown Bryan. It’s an absolute must-see and eat destination in the BCS area, and I look forward to my next meal there!
The food was wonderful. We got the chicken parmesan and the twisted affair. The cosmo and the cream soda beverage were both nice. Our server was the star though. She was so polite seating us even thiugh we arrived rather late in the evening, providing multiple recommendations when asked, was attentive and boxed our food, provided bags, took our photo. I hate that I forgot her name, but she was so wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful evening, it wouldn't be possible without you!
First visit to Capri and it was great. The food and service were excellent, we’ll be back for sure. The pasta, cream sauce and bread were all perfectly light and tasty. We had the Cajun Tortellini and A Twisted Affair, washed it down with some wine, and topped it off with a fantastic cannoli.
Such an AMAZING place. I was skeptical due to the reviews being a bit lower than I’m used to, but they do not deserve any low reviews. 5 stars for everything!!!! First of all, our waiter, Walt, was amazing and gave great recommendations. The cream soda was so delicious. The bread was so airy and light and the mozzarella was like nothing I’ve had before. I ordered the tortellini alla capri and my husband ordered the cajun tortellini and we were both deeply impressed. Didn’t need any extra cheese or anything. It was perfect! Then, we ended the night with a delicious and indulgent chocolate mousse cake. Definitely will be coming back!!!
Service and the restaurant as a whole were great. Very nice waitress who was very attentive. Fried mozzarella was very good, girlfriend got the baked penne which was good and I got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Alfredo was good but the chicken was probably the worst chicken I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Dry, rubbery and tasted like nothing. Honestly really bummed me out, I enjoyed the entire dinner but that really soured it. Overall it was good and I’ll come back just won’t get that ever again. Tiramisu was great
The place is small so expect to wait since they don’t take reservations. The bread with oil and vinegar you get upon arrival is great. We ordered the mozzarella sticks for appetizer. I did not like the sauce it came with. I prefer ranch or marinara. For my entree I ordered the chicken parmigiana with Alfredo sauce. The chicken was good but the sauce seemed to be watery. The service was sort of slow but they were busy. Overall, it was pretty good.
I recently visited Cafe Capri, and while there were definitely some positives, there were also a few areas that left me underwhelmed. First off, the service was absolutely exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. I can’t say enough about how kind and helpful they were throughout the entire dining experience. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the same high standard. I rarely leave food behind at a restaurant, but I couldn’t finish the calamari—it was honestly some of the worst I’ve ever had. The texture and flavor were off, and I genuinely think it would be in their best interest to remove it from the menu. The main course was decent, but it didn’t leave much of an impression. It was fine, but for the price, I expected something a bit more exciting. Another minor point I’ll mention is the music. As a professional DJ, I tend to be extra critical of things like this, but the music didn’t quite match the elegant, Italian atmosphere that the restaurant is going for. I understand this may seem like a small detail, but music can really elevate the dining experience, and something a bit more classy and refined would have better complemented the ambiance. That said, I’m willing to give them another shot, mainly because the service was so good and the ambiance itself is lovely. Hopefully, with a few tweaks, Cafe Capri can become a true standout in Bryan.
Stopped here for my birthday and we tried their chicken parmigiana & tortellini alla capri & both dishes were lacking flavor. I ordered a lemonade and it had a weird taste to it so I asked for a sprite instead and it also had a weird taste to it. Our waiter was great, that didn’t stop us from leaving him a good tip.
