Absolutely delicious wonderful friendly service and I had a fresh salad and my grandson had a burger special and said cooked perfectly with good homemade French fries!! Definitely would recommend
I've never had a bad meal... the turkey club is probably the best club in the US. The service is so so friendly and always ready with more coffee. I eat there every day I am in town.
Busy place. The Lodge can serve a large crowd (Sunday morning) quickly and efficiently w/o harming the quality. Large menu choices, with excellent wait staff to leave a smile on your face. We dined in but take out is available. No dinners though.
My wife and I really love this place in Chazy!! The folks here are all friendly and the food is excellent!! My wife and I have eaten here many times.
While they might have forgotten a few things at our table of 9, the service was very quick in rectifying the mistakes, and the food was very good! We ordered off the breakfast and lunch menus, and will go back again.
Have enjoyed a few meals here. Staff pleasant and efficient. Breakfasts are delicious, as are dinners. Worth the drive from Willsboro!
Service was outstanding! Quaint. We stopped there for dinner. Very large menu and generous serving size. Reasonably priced... Try the onion petals... Will be eating there again.
This restaurant has the best French onion soup and prime rib!! So delicious
Another great meal with family. The food is always fresh and the staff super friendly. Love going here.
Great pancakes and breakfast. Only thing and we chalked it up to a bad batch was the coffee at first was bitter. Definately great place to grab food.
Best breakfast in the North Country. Just so good and reasonably priced. You won't be dissapointed.
The food was so delicious--we talked about it for days after our meal. And the service was great. Will definitely be back soon.
The pastrami Ruben was sort of a pastrami-kraut-dressing hash, which doesn't sound so good, but I tell you it was sublime. Service was friendly, competent, and quick.
The food is great. You don't leave hungry. The staff is awesome. It is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Great food, reasonable prices & fantastic employees.
Great Lil diner. Service was polite and on top of it! Would go again!!
First time enjoying this lovely Restaurant but certainly will not be the last. Excellent experience 😎
I get their steak and eggs. It is great good atmosphere. There are times when you may have to wait.
We went here for breakfast. Great food. Great service! Would come again.
Stopped there after cycling in the rain for multiple hours. Staff was really nice and helpful, food was good and prices totally reasonable. If you are in need for some warm food and smiling faces, this is where you should stop.
Excellent service and food. Huge pancakes, yummy french toast with blueberries and cream cheese and eggs and bacon 😋😍
I picked up a quart of their turkey and rice soup on Sunday, November 30th. Perfect for a cold, snowy day! We enjoyed the soup-it was delicious! They also give crackers 👍 Apple Lodge Cafe is known for their hearty soup and sandwiches! I highly recommend you go and enjoy a great meal or pick up something for takeout! ❄️🤩⛄️
My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time today after seeing advertisements on FB. We ordered the same meal (hot turkey, gravy, fries & cole slaw). He had mashed potatoes instead of fries. The turkey was true roasted turkey, not a deli-type turkey. The potatoes were not instant potatoes. The cole slaw was so fresh, crunchy and delicious. We tend to order this meal at various diners and we both agree that Apple Lodge Eatery has the best. The restaurant is very clean and the waitstaff friendly and courteous. We look forward to going again and bringing friends with us.

Apple Lodge Café is hands-down one of my favorite places to eat. I come here often, and the food is consistently fresh, delicious, and made with care. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy in a way that makes you feel right at home. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or just stopping in for a coffee, they never miss. A true local gem—highly recommended!
My husband and I go to this restaurant several times a week for breakfast. The breakfast is excellent as always! There’s always a crowd in there also, so this should say something too.
Stopped by on our way to Vermont and had breakfast. AMAZING breakfast and really sweet service. I felt like I was having breakfast at a family's home. Thank you!
Eat here at least 3 days a week. Friendly staff and great food! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good meal.
Love this place. A bit utilitarian in decor, but the food is great and the service is wonderful. Had breakfast there 3 times in one week during vacation. The omelettes are very very good. Bathrooms are clean.
Great service, and the food is not bad as well, reasonably priced
Absolutely delicious! We had chicken wings, mozzarella moons, and the liver and onions were cooked perfectly. Great service as well. Love this place!
Great find .. WOW...*.incredible menu..*wonderful selection in every category, * includes holiday designed specials. *Good pricing.* Lots of parking. *Friendly, helpful, patient+ informed staff. ***Wish I could try everything on the menu. Thank you
They have the best seafood chowder, bakes stuffed shrimp, fried perch, and tuna melts are outstanding; and their breakfast is the best!
Great place for any meal. They are now open for dinner too. A diverse menu which satisfies and fills you (me) up. I love the tuna melt and sandwich. A home-made size of white, marble rye, or grain bread is so generous that I could finish only half my sandwich, marble rye grilled was my choice this time. My husband had a Philadelphia steak sandwich and raved about it. The steak was real, not the formed stuff. Both sandwiches came with chips and pickles. It is in an area that is easy to find and get to. I know other items on the menu are delicious, as I have seen the waitstaff bringing loaded platters to tables and seeing is believing. Yes, we are coming back. They festure daily specials and the Philadelphia steak sandwich was one.
Reminds me of the way diners should be. Great hot turkey sandwich. Gravy on the fries. Excellent coleslaw. Waitress was very good. Checked back many times.
Best breakfast in a very long time! We ordered crispy hash browns and this was the very first place we've been to that actually cooked them as ordered. The staff are amazing and very attentive! Would highly recommend.

Small Town Diner with very good service very friendly and very good food
Super nice waitress and great food!
Good food
Food was ok, has kinda a funny taste to it. I oreded a breakfast sandwich and they messed up my order and had to remake it, the tables weren't clean so they had to do it when we got there, and they only offered us breakfast menu's but the people that came in right behind us were offered breakfast and lunch menu's (not sure why that was but it didn't sit right with me).
I have only been here twice and it was ok. Both times I got breakfast and eggs were over hard nor medium, and sausage seemed to be shorted.
The food was okay. The service was really bad though. We were handed menus and several minutes later the waitress that gave us the menus walked out the door. We started looking around to see what was going on and then overheard the 2 waitress arguing about who had to take our table. Service was just poor after that. Took our order and dropped off the food. That was it. No check in, not asked if we needed anything else and my husband couldn't even get a refill of his coffee. There were 4 or 5 other tables so it wasn't packed. We'll probably try again and hope for some better service

Good food, but the people in the place didn't seem too keen on outsiders. Stares made us want to take out the food.
Absolutely terrible.Potatoes under cooked and cold and nasty tasting.Never came back with new order of Potatoes. Never refilled Coffee or asked how the Meal was.Its a Shame because this place was always very good.Slso it took forever to get the Meal, not crowed .We won't be back.

Bought one michigan hot dog ,was in a container approx 3" square ,it fit diagonally ! Very sparse sauce and no onions which I had specified ,the real shocker, the price ! $6.71!!! One can buy two real actual full size michigans for less than that at multiple stands in the area ! Slop factory ,spend your monies elsewhere !
Food sucks service sucks prices suck
Very disappointed. We ordered lunch and it took them over an hour to put one piece of meat on two slices of bread. Was definitely a waste of time
Hash browns tasted like old nasty grease , poached eggs were raw , french toast was cold , the drinking glasses were filthy! This is the third time I’ve give them a try . The last time I went the ribeye I ordered was old ! You could taste that it was expired as soon as you bit in to it . Horrible food !
The biggest turnoff is the breakfast potatoes had a funky smell and a slimy texture not even ketchup helped that, the bacon was burnt. The frent toast was under done. The best part was the over medium eggs and sausage links
My wife and I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed- up until today- April 22 at 3:15 pm. This was one of the worst meals we have ever been served. I ordered the Spanish Chicken Soup which was actually very good. However, while eating I removed a foreign object from my mouth and discovered what appeared to be part of a toothpick. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and decided that maybe it was just a splinter from a chicken bone. Then I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak from the daily lunch specials. The waitress and/or cook mixed up the order and instead I was served a split kielbasa sausage on a hot dog bun ( that was supposed to be Italian Sausage w/Peppers). Please note that we were the only clients in the restaurant from the time we arrived until shortly before we left. The waitress eventually brought out the Philly Cheese Steak which I ordered with onion petals. The cheese was put on the bottom of the bun along with the peppers and onions. The steak (sliced instead of shaved and apparently marinated in grease) was placed on top. The onion petals tasted like they had been deep fried in old grease. But wait - there's more... My wife ordered the shrimp in a basket with side of coleslaw and onion petals. Never before had either of us ever seen nor heard of "deep- fried peel your own shrimp".- the shrimp had been deep-fried without any breading and with much of the shrimp shell still in tact! My wife commented that the coleslaw tasted old and, well I already commented on the onion petals. We gave up on trying to finish our dinners. The waitress then asked us if we had saved room for dessert and I told her in a polite way everything that I outlined above and her response was "I'm sorry, I'll share your feedback with the cook" and then gave us a bill for $40.00 - with the tip this set us back $46.00. As much as we have enjoyed dining at the Apple Lodge Eatery in the past, after this s*it show, we will never go back. Nothing is more disappointing than going to a restaurant that has a history of great food and service and getting blind sighted as we did today. I hope the owners of Apple Lodge Eatery reads this review and for the sake of their business get their house in order and consider taking corrective actions.
