Delicious and authentic Thai food, excellent combination of spices, proteins, vegetables, rice and noodles. Don't let the storefront fool you. This place is the real thing!
This place gets a lot of take out order, so the ambiance and decor are very simple. The food is authentic, wonderful, cooked to order. The owner was working the dining room and take out, he was very receptive and accommodating . The price are really decent ... Highly recommend!
One of best restaurants in Plattsburgh. Friendly staff, great service, delicious food. They are occasionally out of some of the dishes (sweet and spicy calamari), but these things can't always be helped. Dine or take out, I've never been disappointed here! Note: They have additional parking and an entrance at the rear of the building, as well!
Hot, delicious Thai food on a cold winter day is fabulous. Quick & good service.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Plattsburgh. I stopped here a little over a year ago and now every time I am working in the area I have to go again. Tonight I had Pong Garee for an entrée, which was as delicious as well as the tiger roll and golden bags as appetizers. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is top notch as well. If you like Boba this is an excellent place for that as well.
Very delicious meal! very filling and tasty. Server was very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant. Dining is in a store front small dining room; not a place if you are looking for restaurant ambience. A great place for tremendous Thai and Asian cuisine. Take-out was more popular than dine-in. They do deliver.
HIDDEN GEM IN PLATTSBURGH. Been here for 18 months and just discovered this amazing sanctuary. We ordered dinner for our shift today and everything was perfect. Cooked well, amazing sauces, and perfectly seasoned. The vegetables were fresh and each dish has plentiful proteins. In total we ordered: - King pow chicken - medium hot - rice noodle - Hot beef ponggaree- rice noodle - Big bowl Tom Yum soup (second favorite) - Spicy basil duck (my favorite) - Drunken noodle beef and shrimp Thanks for amazing delivery during CV-19
Sawatdee is easily one of my most favorite restraunts of all time! Every single thing on their menu is wonderful in its own way and it all tastes uniquely different from each other. I have had 99% of the entire menu over the last few years and enjoy it all! The service is always good. The food is always fresh. This is a true gem of the Plattsburgh, NY area indeed. Enjoy!
If I had to rate a top Thai restaurant, this would be the place. When me and my wife go to Plattsburgh, Sawatdee is in the conversation every time of places to eat. Last time we went here I had Tom Kha and Duck with Veggies. The food is picture worthy, super filling, and very flavorful. Great staff, awesome atmosphere, but just a tad bit pricey. Not much art to look at, but all in all great place to go. Definitely worthy of a 5 star rating.
Sweet! The female chef/server is very friendly. She is from Thailand, the food is authentic but I found it to be too sweet. At 11:30 Saturday it was almost empty but by 12:30 there were no more seats available. The price is fair, the food is good. The atmosphere is ok, a bit cold. You feel like you are sitting in an old pizzeria!
Ordered dinner for four; and paid extra to have shrimp instead of chicken in my meal. Now; the food itself is passable, but I ordered and paid extra for kung pow SHRIMP. And I got king pow chicken. ETA: They are very responsive, and are refunding what I paid for the shrimp that was missing.
The service was very friendly, but the food, sadly, was very disappointing. I'd eaten numerous times at their Bridge St. location and was ALWAYS very happy and impressed with my meal. I ordered a nice app, 2 wanton soups. Previously, the wantons were firm and tasty. This time, they were soggy and almost...like oysters going down. Slimy. Like the wanton itself had been soaking in the soup for days before. The container also opened up and leaked all over the bag and there was hardly any soup left to consume. The veggie stir fry was tasty, however, I added meat to it, 4 small shrimp for an additional $3. NOT worth it at all. The container was small, and the noodles on the side...yeah, barely half-filled the small container they gave me. I spent over $30 on this order, which ended up being a total waste of money. I had heard from other friends that this location was not as good as the Bridge St. Sadly, they are correct. I won't be back.
Service was nice. Food was soulless. I had ma try the pad thai and she got upset. Beef tough as nails, so no velveting, no heat, no peanuts.
We had PadThai and Drunken Noodles to go. We were visiting from out of town and normally really enjoy Thai food, these tasted nothing like we have had before. Pad Thai was way too sweet and if it wasn’t for that would have been virtually tasteless, the DN was also bland and very disappointing.
