Waited to eat my Lent meal here and boy am I glad I did! Eggplant parmigiana!! Wow!! 🤩 might actually be THE BEST eggplant parm I’ve had!! Perfectly crispy and eggplant was perfectly firm. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely elite food every single time. The owner has been here for years and genuinely makes customers feel like family the moment you walk in. It’s the kind of local place you want to support - real, human, welcoming service and incredible cooking. So grateful to have this spot in the community
A truly family oriented place where you are welcomed by smiling employees who care about their work, their food, their customers. This visit we enjoyed a house specialty pizza with a firm, nicely done crust that did not flop when a piece was lifted. The toppings were so fresh, colorful and tasty! Nice veal parmesan, and great manicotti-ravioli combo plate. Iced tea was strong and had plenty of ice. Decent house wine, too. Cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed it!
We just love Catalano's Pizzeria. The daily lunch special is always amazing. Today, I had the Baked Ziti that came with a side salad and generous portions of fresh baked bread. You can't beat the price. The Eggplant, Lasagna, and other daily specials are to die for.
Oct 25, 2015 we went back to dine in... we had Cheese Shrimp 🍤 bread appetizer. Chicken parmesan over spaghetti 🍝. Multi combination pasta platter over spaghetti 🍝 lasagna, mushroom ravioli, eggplant 🍆 parmesan. Big boy Italian sausage sandwich. I also had a glass of wine and a chefs salad 🥗. Everything was amazing the majority of our meal made it home to finish off on another day. Make sure you stop by with an appetite food portions are large. Joey was our host server and cashier. He was friendly, professional and checked on us every time he passed by to deliver other patrons their food. Greatly appreciate the attentiveness and hope that you continue to do well in your aspirations. The price was what was expected. What stood out to me that it's in a very nice small town feel and it doesn't seem very active. Definitely a gem in disguise 🥸. I say that because it's close to the tracks and when I've driven past it, you can never tell that it's open. The atmosphere seems cool...semi dark inside music playing, friendly staff, bar inside.
The spinach lasagna is amazing! The croutons on the salad are so tasty as well as the bread. The service is so friendly. Sarah is an amazing waitress! I highly recommend coming here! Like, hurry here quicky!!
You are missing out if you don't try Catalano's. Fantastic food, and not only pizzas! I place an order to go, catering style for 60-65 people and Catalano's definitely delivered on quality and quantity!!! We had pasta with red sauce, pasta with Alfredo sauce, salad and bread and all was really good! If you are looking for dessert too make sure to try the cheesecake or the Peanut Butter and Jelly pizza! Tell Mr. Carl I said Hello!!!
I took my mom to Catalano's Pizzeria for her first visit to Cibolo during her holiday stay, and it was such a warm and welcoming experience! The staff greeted us with big smiles and cheerful hellos, setting the perfect tone for our lunch. We both enjoyed their Manicotti dish paired with their house red wine, a smooth cabernet sauvignon. I added chicken parmigiana to mine, while Mom went for meatballs—both were absolutely delicious and the portions were so generous we had leftovers to enjoy later. Plus, the free parking across the street made everything super convenient.
First time here and will come back again for sure 😍 All the food we had were good and tasty especially with the marinara sauce yum 😋 Cooked with heart by Carl ; the owner. He has run the business for 40 years. The service is also good, we're helped by Sarah very helpful & friendly. When you're in the area why not try this pizzeria!
This was my first visit so I invited a friend to join me for dinner. We were both impressed with the quality of the food and prompt service. They have a large variety of dishes to choose from and we had a hard time deciding what to order. I decided on chicken Parmesan and my friend had chicken fettuccine alfredo. We practically drooled as we watched delicious looking food go by 🤭. The portions were quite generous as well so we took half our food home. This is a very busy place with a large takeout business. The staff are very friendly and attentive so that is just another reason to go back. This is a family owned business that takes pride in their offerings.
This was my first visit, and I was impressed at how friendly everyone was to each other and customers. To-go can take a little bit, so next time I’ll call ahead. I tried the 18” meat galore pizza and a calzone, they were amazing!!! I am so excited to go back and try their other food.
What an excellent dinner for an excellent price! My daughter and I both got the special for today which was manicotti and cheese raviolis served over spaghetti (we switched out marinara for alfredo), side salad, and faccaccia bread. For an appetizer we got the shrimp cheese bread. EVERYTHING WAS SOOOO GOOD!!! When you come, you may have to wait a little bit for a seat, but believe me, it's worth it! I will definitely be coming back here the next time we're in the San Antonio area! Family owned and you can tell that everything is made with love. ❤️. Get here and support these folks!
I walked in, they handed me my pizzas, I opened up my box and examined it for the "claim". It had the proper flop, the crust was lightly crispy, thin but just the right chew not paper thin, mozzarella was good and the sauce was flavorful. I took a bite and boom, it checked out, legit old school New York style pie just like back home.
Me and my family have been coming here since about 2013. We have always received good customer service every time we dined in. The place is always clean, the food is always very delicious and all the menu items are excellent! They have fountain drinks which is better than canned or bottled soft drinks. The place has plenty of room for family, friends or large groups. The owner and his family are very friendly and welcoming. My favorite dish is Spaghetti & Meatballs and it always is cooked to perfection! Everyone should visit this restaurant at least once and try some of their delicious choices.
Catalano’s Pizzeria in Cibolo is definitely a great dinner spot for the entire family. With a large variety of Italian dishes, it gives you the comforting feeling of a home-cooked meal combined with the quality of an authentic Italian restaurant. The interior maintains a classic look with a nostalgic vibe, and there’s plenty of seating—especially in the spacious dining area toward the rear. It’s definitely a place I would recommend for large groups. The service was very nice. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and professional, and the food arrived at our table quickly. I ordered the calzone, and my wife had the baked ziti. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The chef clearly adds a touch of craftsmanship to the food, resulting in flavorful and satisfying dishes. This is definitely a restaurant we will come back to, and I would recommend it to anyone in the Cibolo area looking for a solid Italian meal.
Pizza was absolutely delicious!! 5 stars on that! We got a large and it was much bigger than expected, which is a plus. It took 30 minutes, which is fine for fresh out the oven pizza, it was worth the wait. There was a really nice man working and he brought out our pizza. A sweet young lady spoke to us and provided an ETA, she let us know when it was almost done. There were two other women working, the girl who took our order, who was nice, and some other woman who was waiting tables acted like we didn’t exist. I will definitely go back for another takeout order! I loved the interior of the place, just not sure I’d eat inside as I expect all workers to acknowledge their customers.
We chose this restaurant as they had a little something of what the family wanted. My husband and I wanted pasta and my son Pizza. The pizza was ok. I would give it 3/5 stars. The pasta on the other hand was 1/5. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. The meal tasted just like the lean cuisine frozen meal. I could tell what ever jar or can sauces used was “jazzed up” by putting mozzarella in it which didn’t make it better. I was truly disappointed and ended up just having the server throw it away. My husband had the lasagna and didn’t finish which for me, says a lot about how unappetizing it was. He’s military and doesn’t care a whole lot about flavor, as long as it’s edible. The service was meh. The server checked in but only during points of getting our food. Was not very personable but I can understand when waiting on many tables at the same time. Atmosphere was a bit cramped. They do have seating in the back which may have been more comfortable, but we sat in the front. They seemed to have a great wine selection. Overall based on the food quality alone, we won’t be returning.
This place was ok. Cool fishtank in the corner. Apparently the place has been there for some time. It was my first time there. Friend suggested it and we decided to get the special. It took almost 25 min to get the food. Very slow considering it was the special. Me and friend almost just payed for our drinks and walked out. Once the food was there, it was tasy buy not worth the wait. Update 6/8/24 Went back. Way better experience this time around
The food was amazing! Sadly, not the service! She was ok until I asked her to correct our tab from overcharging us.
