My wife and I just stopped for a quick snack on our way home. We ordered some fries and Bombers. They took a little longer but were as fresh as they could possibly be. Great experience. I'm glad we atopped.
Rebecca and Jordan took good care of us!
This is my favorite Church's Texas Chicken by far!! I will pass by another Church's just to go to this one because the FOOD IS ALWAYS HOT AND FRESH!! I love the service and the attitudes of the workers because they are always kind and attentive to your order. If they get something wrong, they immediately fix it with a smile and an apology. I rarely leave my house without stopping by to get my grub on BEFORE I GO WHERE I'M GOING. That way, I can eat it as I make my trips and errands. I DO NOT like cold or warm chicken! It has to be HOT for me to enjoy it. So, I'm never disappointed when I go to the FM 78 store because they are so busy that they always have HOT and FRESH food. I guess other customers come there like me, because they like the service. Please don't change! Church's has been my favorite fried chicken restaurant since I ate my first piece back in the 70's when they opened in my hometown, Orlando, Florida. I love, love, love me some Church's!!! 😋❤️❤️❤️
Did not have a bad experience here at all! The staff were very friendly during my late night visit. They were very patient with me even when I changed my order a few times to get the best deal. Working with limited staff, they made sure I received what I ordered even after a short wait time. My family and I haven’t had Church’s in years and it was our first time having it in Texas. Ordered the pre-made sweet tea and it was an amazing! One of the best choices made! Highly recommended!
Not much parking but food is good. It's an older store that might need a little remodeling. I live in schertz, so I go all the way to converse just for churches chicken. It's good.
Mrs Rebecca and crew are always on point with food and service. Thank you store #1263
Napoleon cooks fresh chicken. John is very professional and friendly. Dining area and restrooms are clean.
Chicken is good not very greasy. I had not had that chicken in a while.
Don't want to make your jobs harder by a bad review we all work hard, sometimes we can be better. Service in my visit was a bit rough, the biscuits were pretty hard, the chicken was dry, execution and rotation is important. Love your product and will continue to go, Church's is my Go to for Chicken! Hands down! Let's get momentum by following your protocols and attention to detail. Basics Best Practice. Your better than my most recent visit.
Best churches around! Great staff always helpful! I will always go to this churches chicken!
This place is dusty and needs an upgrade. Lol It's been there since I was in highschool (26 yrs) I'm sure longer, but they have good service and good crispy chicken. They never disappoint the chicken is always crispy and the honey biscuits are on point with a side of mashed potatoes w/gravy.
Great service considering the drive thru is a bit small..employees were kinda not friendly guess cause it was busy. Better to go in and order to go..
Checked out Church's as my wife hadn't eaten in in probably over 20 years. Walked in and was greeted instantly by the order taker, happy to serve us. We ordered two 2-piece combos. Chicken was tender and juicy, not overloaded with flour. Biscuit was hot and fresh, mashed potatoes tasty as well as the cole slaw freshly made. The restaurant was clean, as was the restroom. One note is that toilet paper wasn't on the roll and was a very large roll, made it difficult to use. As we recently moved to the area, I am certain we'll be back.
Thanks to Mr John he was very helpful after his lil worker didn't wanna thaw out tortillas for some wraps ! Mr John saved my dinner day. Great job papa.
I had an extremely pleasant encounter with Richard at the drive-through. Normally, when you go to a drive-through people are rude and in a rush, but he was very patient and very kind. It seemed like he had a hard day, but he still chose to be a light and I really appreciated that because you never know what someone’s going through. So I just wanna say a special thank you to Richard at the drive-through you’re doing great and you’re amazing! - Aaliyah (like the singer)
Only ate at churches chicken one time years ago at another location and it wasn’t until recently I tried this location out, it surprises me every time due to the high level of customer service. I come back multiple times due to the freshness of the food, hot, delicious, but the one that tops it all off, the customer service. Jordan and Victoria are the most understanding team members I came across at a fast food chain. When I have many questions or concerns about some orders, the understand my concerns and questions because I don’t necessarily understand the menu. They level with me for me to happy with an affordable price. They do anything they can do for me to stay happy and not many fast food chains have a team that cares the way they do. I always drive off super satisfied. The team leader did an incredible job of looking for the best team. Love the intentionality this team gives off. Keep up the great work!
What a great experience today at church's chicken. Service was fast, food was fresh and super tasty. Prices were right. The staff was just on their "A" game. This team tonight Monday March 9th 2026, had everything you want in a team. Everyone was working and moving and kept their friendly customer service at all times with smiles.
Best chef was said to be working. No line. Fast service. Great food: legs/thighs, mash potatoes, biscuits. We’ll be back.
Have been multiples times and haven't had an issue, food is great, service is friendly and helpful, and quick!
I love everything about this place. These people are so wholesome and loving. Me and my bsf walk there after school and sometimes js sit there or eat. Today I left my water bottle on bus sit to get on and I get on my bus and notice I left it there. I called them and I asked them if they could please get it for me i know it was a lot to ask because they still have to deal with costumers, food, cleaning etc. They got it for me and they said “not a problem mama I’ll put it in the office” and it completely made my day because it would’ve been incomplete if I would’ve lost it today. I bless all of they’re hearts they deserve the world.
I hadn’t eaten Church’s in over 15 years after a really bad food poisoning experience at a different location. But recently, my boyfriend started bringing this location home for us, and it is SO good! The food is always fresh, the team is professional, and you can truly see the pride they take in their work. In a time when great customer service is hard to find, they stand out. I don’t know how much they’re paid or what their benefits are, but they definitely deserve a raise for the love and professionalism they put into what they do
I haven’t had church’s in 10 years. I wanted to get some to show my husband who hasn’t ever had church’s before. It was as great as I remember it. Chicken was 10/10 crispy. Mac n cheese looked a little weird. But this is still my favorite fast food for fried chicken pieces. Took pictures after we ate… totally forgot but I saved y'all a piece to look at c; yw
Very friendly staff and manager in this location, they were taking care of everything we need even knowing the group is visiting from 8k miles away from Taiwan. Would definitely recommend to have the smoke house with sweet and a bit spicy flavor for $9.99, and 10 pcs fried leg n thighs for $11.99.
Very busy but staff does their best to fill all orders.
A much older restaurant. It does have dining in and drive through service. Great customer service. Depending on what time you go, the chicken may not always be just fresh out of the fryers. Fried okra can sometimes be iffy. This place usually have its busy moments. I will keep going.
Usually this location takes a long time to get your food out to you, but this must recent visit left me pleasantly surprised. I got the family deal and was expecting to wait a while but once I got to the window to pay and get my food, I only had to wait 5 minutes at the most, the teenager behind the counter was very nice and got my order out to me fairly quickly! I hope this kind of service happens there next time I come!
We dine in for a quick lunch at Church's. This location the chicken and French fries are great, but today the chicken and fries weren't as fresh as before. They were a bit soaked in oil. The seating area was very clean. We'll try again next month and see if the food is better. I will post my second chance review at that time.
Went through drive thru. Ordered the 16 piece mixed family meal with Cajun rice, fries and mac and cheese. Overall food was good.
So scared to order. Be prepared I repeat be prepared. They don't want to wait for you to make up your mind. My husband and I have to rehearse our order. I've come to believe my husband likes to go get verbally abused by these ladies😄 On the plus side this is probably the best churches in town. Food is always hot and fries are perfect.
There was quite a bit of a wait to order and two different people came on the speaker. One would say just a moment be right with you and a minute later the other would say how can I help you then when we spoke up the other would jump back on and ask us to give her a moment. I figured it was busy who knows what was happening in side those 4 walls as we were outside in the drive through line. But once we had the opportunity to order and move forward we received our food quickly and it was hot and delicious.
Whenever I visit I drive by a handful of other chicken places to stop at what can be best described as a "rustic" building that serves solid menu items. I don't know exactly how the staff manages to crank out so much fried chicken so fast from that cramped kitchen but my wait time is never excessive - especially considering how busy the place always is. I do need to take a star off for the actual site. The hard-working crew has earned an upgrade over the existing building that's straight out of the '80s. Whether it's corporate or a franchisee - whoever it is that owns and is making massive coin off this locale should step up with a new building OR - if they believe the place is great as-is - work the late-afternoon shift in that kitchen for a few weeks next summer alongside the hourly staff, then reply to this review about how the building is "good enough".
The guy who always takes your order can be rude at times since it's hard to hear us or them over the drive thru speaker. My husband and I know this so we try to do our best but it's like come-on dude, you've been working there for years and you know you're drive thru speaker sucks, just lose the attitude if one of us miss hears the other. Otherwise the chicken always seems fresh since we usually have to wait a few moments for them to prepare it. (Which is no big deal, we don't mind.)
The food was good and hot, but I asked for spicy legs and I got regular. When I mentioned it they redid the order, but didn't check before I left. I ended up with two thighs and one leg. They were spicy, but can't you just get the order correct? That's all I ask.
Food is good. I ordered a 15 piece tender meal with 3 sides. No problems with that order but my number 3 with tenders and 4 bombers and strawberry drink DID NOT HAVE MY BOMBERS when I dropped off my wife's meal at Copperfield elementary. Too late to go back to get them. No military discounts either.
Average. The whole experience was average. Food prices, quality, portions, and speed of service. The employees were friendly but seemed tired and overworked. Restaurant and restrooms were mostly clean, but unremarkable in any way. I will visit again if nothing better presents itself, but there is no draw to this location. Edit: The portions are more filling than they appear, and the pies (apple and pumpkin) are slightly above average.
When we drove up a man in a van was parked behind the restaurant. His van looked run down and like he was living in it. The staff lets him in the back door, in the kitchen with a box and a trash bag and they were letting him take something out of there. The staff was slow, seemed incompetent and made a huge deal when we wanted to order more ranch.
Taste like they changed ingredients over the years
Upon arriving to the restaurant the first thing that you notice is how dirty it is inside. The AC is broken and the thermostat read 98° inside the building. The cashier working the register was sitting at a table with his head down in his hands. The young lady working the drive-thru shot an ugly look to us as we walked through the door and never greeted us. Once the cashier noticed, he quickly arose from his seat and took our order. They didn't have much of an option they were out of spicy chicken, no white , no bourbon chicken and limited side options. The gentleman that took our order was kind enough to put down a fresh batch of chicken for us. It took almost 35 minutes to get our order, but we were happy to wait knowing it was going to be fresh. As we waited a kind young man offered us some ice water knowing that it was extremely hot in that building. Overall the food was good and hot but I feel sorry for the employees that have t o work in those kinds of conditions. Management or corporate should do better.
You get what you paid for. When did Churches Chicken get so expensive? We tried it again, and the food was cold or semi cold. Once warmed up in the oven. It was good. I just had to set it on papertowels to soak up all the grease.
The food was good. The wait at the speaker without acknowledging our presence was extremely annoying. I saw several cars drive off because of this. I had to drive up to the window to place my order even though the speaker was working/headset was working. Once there (at the window), the servicer was polite, courteous, and fast. The food was good and hot; the only reason I'm going back!
The cashier had no clue making my order having to take it back 3 times, they don’t serve plastic knives to cut a thigh and leg apart. Everytime I eat here they mess my order up, I went here by mistake as the photo online shows a very brand new store not recognizing the location until I drove there. Obviously they posted a newer Texas Church’s Chicken or I would never have gone to this location. Tables were very clean for a fast food restaurant which I’m surprised most fast food restaurants tables need wiping down. I do not recommend eating at this location however the manager was very accommodating to straighten out my order for the cashier giving me an incomplete order!
Respectfully no one can read or count here. I’ve got food here at least 10 times, and I don’t think I’ve ever got exactly what I ordered lol. The food is good and the employees fix the orders. I’m just so tired of having to check my bag or go back to the store.
Why can you not pick up a paid for, to-go order through the drive thru? They made me come inside even though no one was in the drive thru. My order was ready & sitting on the shelf but I had to wait in line while they fulfill other orders before helping me. So, the food was cold when I got home. I truly cannot think of a reason why they won’t just hand you your order through the drive thru rather than making you come inside. Odd business practice. Usually their staff is very nice & we have a good experience. I won’t be ordering online anymore.
Waited at the drive thru order box for 3 minutes, waiting for someone to take my order. The entire time someone was in the drive thru lane, washing trash cans. When they did come on to take my order, they stated that they were "out of sweet tea" because they would have to make some and it takes time so they weren't going to do it. It is 6pm so not sure why they don't have any ready for the dinner service.
Every time I go to this restaurant they are out of spicy chicken! You would think that if it is that popular at this location the management would make sure that there was enough cooked for the amount of orders they usually get. If you can get the spicy chicken it is great, but I can never get it. Maybe they should count how many orders are turned away because they didn't cook enough. They will cook it if you want to wait for an hour. Too many chicken places close by to wait.
The old woman at the speaker is very rude plus if you make an online order they make you go inside to pick it up and be prepared to wait order was supposed to be ready at 6:56 I waited until 7:17 so yeah
I never judge off my first experience unless it's really bad, but this is the second time me and my husband has got food poisoning from this location. The chicken smelled really funny this time and that was almost $40 down the drain. Only thing good was the biscuits were actually fresh and so was the Mac and cheese. My jalapeño bombers didn't even have jalapeños in them. Needless to say we definitely will not be returning to this location. We'll have to go out of our way to a different one.
I ordered my food 2 of the 3 piece meals. And a chicken sandwich. I was trying to order sandwich without mayo she said I have that already. So, I get to window I said there no mayo on sandwich correct? She said I need to make another one. So she didn’t listen and had to waste food. Then my bun was burnt on the sandwich I did get. My chicken in my 3 piece meal was so nasty like it was old. I was very disappointed in the whole thing
The food is good but this is the second time they don't put gravy on the mashed potatoes.
I was treated by a young lady with an ugly attitude. She seemed upset. I asked if she was angry and she said yes she was. I told her I hoped I wasn't the problem. She continued with her ugly attitude throughout the ordeal. Very disappointed with her service. She should not be working at the register with this kind of attitude.
The chicken was fun but I ordered a large French fries for $4.49 and there were probably 35 fries in that order. I even ask if this was a lg order and the cashier said yes. I would never have bought them if I knew how few fries were in that order. That is a ridiculous price for such a small amount of fries. Very disappointed.
During our recent visit to the drive-thru to pick up an order, I encountered some difficulties with the service. The employee taking our order seemed a bit disengaged, which affected the overall experience. As a loyal customer, I hope this feedback can help improve interactions in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Worst experience at this location. The manager was extremely rude and nasty did not want to listen at all and said that it was Sunday and that the devil was out and busy all because they did not want to repeat an order correctly fix the order and return the correct change. She allowed an employee to go in his personal wallet get money out for change dealing with money do not wash his hands after being rude several times because he was asked to repeat the order and he still gave us the wrong order never once again washed his hands but went to handle food. The customer service was beyond rude thr order was still wrong in the end . Referencing or using religion the church or the aspect of assuming someone just left church simply because they asked you to repeat and fix an order is rude and very discriminating. We will contact corporate office about this matter.
Food poisoning after eating the spicy chicken. Avoid this place.
Spent $30 and the chicken was like cardboard. Saved my receipt and called to complain and the guy told me it was nothing he could do for me. He said to call a manager which I did and at the time she felt as though only my chicken should be replaced because I couldn't bring the food back. I told her I called to bring it back but your employee told me he couldn't help me and to call you. I then had to tell her after spending $30 to feed my family and couldn't take it back what are we supposed to do and what about the whole inconvenience of this all and a lot of other things I had to say. At the end of the day I let her know in my 50yrs of eating Church's Chicken I've never had any so bad and I'll never return to her location. I let her know I'll go to Kirby she was like that location closing so I'm not worried about that okay cool I'll go to W.W. White she then said we're buying that one and I was like who cares I bet it won't taste like cardboard and I have the Rittiman Rd location but baby never Converse again and I've been in my home for 13yrs going to that location. Girl, bye forever your 13 yr customer. And stop thinking people broke when complaining and trying to come up because Church's is nothing to come up on and my vehicle runs A1 and will get me right on to the next location. She reluctantly replaced the order.
Staff is combative and don't want to deal with the mistakes they've made. Check your order before you leave. It will likely be wrong.
Came here 3 times and all 3 times I had issues with my order. The staff is completely clueless and really dont even bother in putting in an effort to get the orders right or in time. Save yourself a headache and dont bother coming to this location.
Just go to a different Church's. Sit at the drive thru, no answer for five minutes, so don't even know if the drive thru is working. Go inside, a customer asking for his money back because the food was not good. The drive thru attendant is just distracted, I saw them return chicken from boxes twice. The girl taking orders at the counter was slow, and she asked customers for a tip and then tried to play it off with a joke. She struggled to fill the order she took, pausing to look as more people walked in and just sighed. After noticing flies everywhere, I just walked out after waiting 15 min and still not being able to order, and I was the second person in line.
I'm literally here a 920 and the manger cut me of from ordering said they ere closing soon. Thi is the problem with theses places, they want to start closing before they close.. lol. Like find a job were you re happy and give good service to someone.. it's os sad.. these employees are killing the food chain and now I'm at the window and I had to order it at the winow again. And I asked her name and she doesn't want to give here name. So sad I love churches but this lady in converse is sad.. love you churches but not this lady.. so sad be better churches... I'm in converse tx..
Waited to be greeted at drive thru. Got home, and the peppers did not have a lid on them, and chicken was old and burnt. I've been going to this Churhes for 20+ years and in the last year quality has gone down severely. Chicken had actual.black burnt spots.
I ordered a 12 PC got ten smh wouldn't care but tge price difference between 10 PC and 12pc is crazy
I’m not a person to write negative reviews but this was the worse restaurant experience I’ve ever had (10-29-23). Service was awful to the point where we drove off. We were attempting to order through the drive through & the woman taking our order was extremely rude. She cut us off & her responses made us feel like we were burdening her when all we ordered was chicken strips lol It is warranted for customer service to be addressed.
Not really friendly, I asked for tea and got coke, I asked for catup and didn't get any, had to give my order at the window cause the speaker wasn't working. Terrible service from the big guy and the big woman. I was rushed out of the drive thru, couldn't check bag til I got home.
This place is a joke. The cashier was clueless, the wait was ridiculous and I broke a tooth from the chicken. Ordered an 8 pc/Spicy and only 4 were spicy and they supposedly ran out of dark meat from a fresh batch after 7 pieces... Don't do drugs, kids.
Lady in drive through between hours of 1-8 by far one of the most RUDEST,disrespectful non customer service, UNPROFESSIONAL BEST CASHIERS I'VE ENCOUNTERED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. "WHY KEEP GOING BACK?" MY family loves Churches and unfortunately this is the closest location to us....5 stars for the food, ONLY because the manager rich cared...WORD TO WISE ALWAYS ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE LEAVING THE ONE IN CONVERSE BY JUDSON
This place has the worst customer service & management Ive ever experienced!!!!- I will never ever buy anything from them again! This place needs to go out of buisness. Food is awful, over priced & small hard & dried out pieces tasteing old. Drive thru speaker has been out forever. So it really effects there service, since the dining room never seems to by open. This place needs to be updated or replaced with a better option for our small town. I really wish it go out there is nothing redeeming about this place.
If you’re going to work at an establishment involving customer service, having a nasty and disgusting attitude to customers won’t get you a single penny of my money or anyone else’s for that matter. As I pull up to the drive thru, I order the 2 piece special with a side of jalapeños and a biscuit. First mistake of his was not telling me the price and just telling me to pull up. As I make it to the window, he then tells me the price. Which was not what I normally pay for the meal, as I’ve ordered it on multiple occasions. When I tell him this , he responds by saying, “Oh, I didn’t tell you the price back there.” Unbothered. He then only proceeds to tell me about the change in price on the menu which was not changed yet, as he stated. You’re meaning to tell me I have to tell you that the price has drastically changed only for you to bother telling me there was an update in your menu once I get up to the window and have to pry that information out? Absolutely not. I don’t want your service. As I’m telling him that I don’t want it and driving off, he makes a sly remark ending it off with, “Read the sign.” If you’re going to be disgusting, go somewhere else. I’m not the one. I don’t want your hands on my food or your service if you’re going to act like an entitled adult who works at a fast food place and hates their job. Not coming back again, and I advise anybody to not come here if you’re looking for quality respect.
I made an online order and when I went to go pick up my food in the drive thru, they made me go inside...its cold and wet out. I had my daughter with me. Very inconvenient. Most shops allows you to picknup in drive thru. Never coming here again. The inside smelt like a sweat shop and the food was overcooked.
It had been a long while since I ordered Church's chicken and this experience reminded me of exactly why. Waited 20 minutes at the store for an order that I placed online only to not get what I ordered! Apparently the pumpkin pies were not sent to this location so they decided to give me regular apple. I asked for a refund on the pies, since the entire reason we came here was for the pie I was told they couldn't do it. The worker then took the pies out of the bag and asked if I'd rather get another side. I asked who I need to talk to for a refund and he couldn't give me an answer. Apparently when you order online the store has "nothing to do with it." We just got home and found out the gravy was missing, the fries were stale and cold. Unbelievable and unacceptable!
Menu shows lettuce for chicken sandwiches, pulled up an was told they have no lettuce.
Very rude employees. If you hate your job don't work there. We went through the drive thru and the person taking our order had an attitude for everything and when we asked about spicy chicken they said they didn't have any. We asked how long the wait was and he said 40 minutes. He sounded so irritated for no reason. We got to the window to pay and the girl had such an ugly attitude as well. We got home and our order was missing a few items. Now I remember why I never go to this church's.
I ordered a large okra and it was very burnt. Oil was still leaking from the pieces and in the bottom of the holder it was a ton of crumbs instead of actual okra. This location, disappointing every time. I have only been twice the first time my chicken was old and over cooked. I was charged around $14 for the meal. I just had craving for okra yesterday. In my mind, I was like at least if I just get okra, they can’t mess that up too bad but they did.
Over charged when I caught them counter people argued about giving refund. Then shorted on the amount of chicken. Ordered 8 pieces spicy legs and thighs. Got home opened the box only 6 pieces and then only 4 pieces were spicy. Chicken had been recorded crust was hard so were the biscuits and apple pies ordered. Won't go to Judson and 78 location again.
THE WORST SERVICE EVER! SAT IN THE DRIVE THROUGH ALMOST 30 min ALONG WITH 4 other CARS AND NO ONE CAME TO TAKE OUR ORDERS!! AT THE LEAST WE COULD GET AN “I’LL BE RIGHT WITH YOU.” This is the 2nd attempt I’ve made with this place. The first time one of the cooks was outside smoking by the dumpster while the drive through line backed up!! PATHETIC! 👎🏽
Don’t go here they never have anything. This time No spicy chicken, no Mac n cheese, no hot sauce, no honey. They forgot the biscuits out of our order and when we called to speak to the Manager John he would not make things right. Terrible customer service. We will never come back here.
Chicken was very dry and got overcooked chicken crust was so hard it was stuck to the chicken couldn't eat it had to throw it away I called they never answered will not recommend this location
Ordered a 12 piece family meal with sides. There isn’t a Church’s near us so we drove specifically for this and only eat this a few times a year. The chicken and okra were both extremely burnt to the point that we couldn’t eat them. So we basically drove 40 minutes round trip and paid $40+ for a few sides.
I am a person with a disability. I made an online order for pick up. No where in the app does it say I'd have to go inside and pick up my order. When I get there - no one was behind me. I pull up to the window and told the young lady my name and that I had an order for pick up. She rolled her eyes and said I had to go inside and get it. I told her that I am disabled and could not maneuver the curb then the door and the food. Especially since I was having a high pain day which is why I wanted to pick up dinner for my kids. She rolled her eyes again and went and told an older man. He came to the window and told me to come in. I told him that he is violating my rights for reasonable accommodation. He said he was not. Finally be handed me my order. I asked for his manager he said to go and closed the window. I refused to leave. Finally a manager come to the window and says that too many people have reported their meal not delivered so they have to insist orders are picked up inside. First of all I told him he was wrong to not come address me 5 mins back . He allowed his workers to be rude. Secondly I told them I was not an Uber driver or door dash. The second guy responded with " I don't know if you are really disabled" in a rude tone. I showed my handicap placard and told him he could match the number on it to my drivers license to prove it was mine. What many people don't understand is that curbs and doors and distance does matter to unseen disabilities. After I finally got my order I drove around to see that they did not have a button to open the door electronically, so on my bad days that alone is hard to do. In today's world I should not have to limit myself more and more to where I can go. This was completely unacceptable. Whatever verication he needed to prove I was who I said I was could have been done in the drive through. More places need to understand disabilities. The rude faces and tones made me feel less than human. I get that there are people who borrow other people's placards but I could prove it is mine. I just wanted to go and get a meal for my kids because the day prior I struggled and I wanted a peaceful night for me and them. Just an upsetting experience and the reason I am slowly being forced to plan my day around what is assessable to me. Churches chicken is not the place
I had just finished eating my two pieces of chicken when I grabbed the biscuit to take a bite and there was a squished and baked roach attatched to the bottom of the biscuit. I feel grossed out that I already ate the chicken and even worse that I've been eating there regularly since it's near where I work. Please hire an exterminator..
I started in the drive thru and was greeted by a rude younger woman stating 15 min for chicken. I chose to stay because the line was long anyway. I listened to the guy taking orders be rude n run off every person ahead of me. When I ordered he was rude n acted like the fact I wanted to still order was ridiculous. He said “these people” when I asked him to quit being rude n please take my order he said he didn’t want to serve me. Then finally agreed to take order .. when I drove up all employees were giving me dirty looks and discussing me amount themselves and with ppl at counter. I asked where to park the guy continuously argued. I asked for his name he refused. Then told me drive around rudely and said something I’m not repeating. As I waited I watched them send away car after car!!! Ridiculous service
I will never in life come to the Churches Chicken at 9090 Churches Chicken FM78. The Mexican man in the drive thru at 6:00pm on 06/22/2025 was extremely rude unprofessional when it comes to customer service. Me and my disabled mom was asking him questions regarding a 3 piece special they have. My mom was trying to get a better understanding on what kind of chicken comes with the 3 piece as far a dark meat/ white meat. He got an attitude when we was asking him diffrent questions and became very hostile and frustrated when asking him diffrent questions. I them ask him was he having a bad day cause his tone and attitude was unexceptable. He continued to talk rudely as. I ask him for how name and store manager. He then advised that he can not give his name or store manager name that she will be in the morning. I then asked him for there cooperate number and he stated there is no ccperate number either. He then told me hell got damit just pulled up to the window. I then stated “ I no longer wanted to order and I will go some one else. That was outrageous and ver in professional as a lead of the store and as a worker of the store. 000000” will be my rating and I will be contacting some one higher to complain.
Worst customer service ever. We were in the drive thru and we finally made it to the menu to have our order taken by an employee. When the employee came to the speaker, he puts us on hold for like 10 mins. This is a ridiculous wait time and we ended up leaving because it was waste of our time. This place is needs to get shut down. It's just that terrible.
Was discouraged by lack of customer service. Five employees and only one acknowledged me after I waited a considerable amount of time. I was only customer in store and still wasn't greeted and seen until I started getting visibly irritated. I had ordered in the app and it too the five crew members a good 30 minutes after the pick up time to get me my order. Even the manager neglected to acknowledge me. Do better churches.
Everything i order there is always something missing the last time I ordered the French fries were missing and this time the 5 tenders 5 honey butter biscuit and 1 apple pie was missing I'm not buying anything from here anymore
I was asking a question and they were extremely exasperated and rude. I ended up not getting anything because of that. I understand having a bad day and I understand that this is technically a fast food place but attitude is everything.
Horrible Horrible service!!!!!i went on christmas day 2025 at 4:54pm. I ordered a3 piece combo meal. They gave me 3 chickens that were the smallest. The wing was smaller than my pinky finger. I also ordered a 5 piece chicken stripe for my husband. They gave him 3 pieces. I said no gravy but i wanted honey mustard. We paid 27.57 for them to mess up. We called 7 times and they kept picking the phone up and hanging up. Richard was the guy at the window. He said i forgot to give the customer before you dipping sauce. If i could rate them less than 2 star i would
Check your food because you'll be missing stuff. Last 3 times I've gone they got something wrong. Went through the drive through and ordered a 20 piece tender meal. Parked in the front like they asked just to watch a bunch of people who got here after I did get their food and leave. Its been 40 minutes now and still no food. *edited to add* I had to go in and ask for it. No apologies or anything. Just "oh we forgot"
I asked for a 20 pc fresh chicken and I told them I didn’t mind waiting. The young lady at the window was very rude and lied and said it had just came out. I touched the bottom of the box and it was completely cold. They then proceeded to ignore the fact I was still at the window, finally someone came to the window and I asked again for fresh chicken..he told me to hold on because he was trying not to give me attitude. I then asked for my money back and he went to get his manager and told her I cussed him out. Eventually I got my money back. Do not go to this location unless you want to get lied to, cold chicken and beg for your money back ! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Went through drive through and they got my order wrong! It happens. Then went inside to get it corrected and the young girl that took my order initially stated she gave me what I asked for. I tried to explain that she didn't and she fixed the issue and the thew the food box on counter and walked away. Will not return and will tell everyone not too as well!
I go here most of the time. This last time 8/2/25 was a bad experience. Heavy set older woman was rude yelling over the drive through then when asked why she was being rude and yelling she says she's not yelling. I took my business to bushs chicken. Their service is a whole lot better. Plus nothing will be done to rude employees until you put them on social media. Last time I go to this particular churches chicken.
First and last time getting food here. Placed a mobile order for 3pc TENDERS…does this look like a tender??😒 and it was hidden at the bottom under the rest of the food so its obvious it was intentional. Would have took only a few seconds to ask or let me know you didnt have tenders instead of trying to hide what i DIDNT order at the bottom of the box. Lazy and rude
Walked into this location on FM 78 right next to 7 Eleven in Converse TX....there was no one at the register I waited 5 min before I asked "hello is there anyone here to take orders??" an employee comes from the back and says the man who takes the orders is diabetic and he went to get a drink from 7 eleven. So I had to wait for him to get back because no one else was trained on register?? I was yelled at by the cashier man when he got back. All I did was repeat my order because I was watching them pack it and they were forgetting to give me what I paid for. Got home and they didn't give me the biscuits I PAID for. There was metal piece of something in my gravy and my apple pies had 5 pieces of apple. Worst location with the worst service. I'd give negative stars if I could.
