We love coming to this local cafe for breakfast. They have counter seating that our son loves and a good kids menu. Lots of options for everyone and extremely friendly service!
Wonderful early morning breakfast. Best kept secret in Corte Madera! Don't tell anyone. Easy parking, chipper staff, tasty breakfast done right. What more could you want.
Nice place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Food and service excellent. I had the BB & lt and it was loaded with perfectly cooked bacon. Great place to meet a friend.
Food and service excellent. Big portions. Great diner atmosphere. Locals hang out here. Perfect diner in Corte Madera. When nothing else is open until 11AM. Thank you for excellent breakfast 🙂
Great experience! Very clean and cozy environment. Wonderful menu selections. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Best breakfast experience! Fantastic flavorful portions and great coffee! The service was genuinely friendly. I'd return often if I didn't live on the other end of the state.
Great breakfast place! The smoothies were good, they have fresh squeezed Orange Juice and Geapefruit juice. They have outdoor seating and indoor, but it can get a bit busy on weekends!
What a great little cafe. I had the lighthouse omlette with hashbrowns. Everything was well seasoned. Highly recommend!
Small or should I say cozy. Great food friendly staff. Large selection for a small restaurant. Good selection of egg dishes for breakfast and massive pancakes. I have only had breakfast here but I will go whenever we are in Corte Madera.
Have been there before and liked it. This was especially good. Really nice, full sandwiches ,including hamburger, good potato salad. Danish meatball sand particularly nice. Can't wait to go back.
We were visiting the Bay Area from out of state, and this was a wonderful find! Everything we got was delicious - highlights were the fruit pancakes, omelette, and the hash browns made with fresh herbs. We regretted that we were only in the area for the day, otherwise we would have been back!
I have finally found a good breakfast cafe. Great selection of home style food. The bacon alone is reason to come back. Not a foo foo Marin type place. Hearty food and decent portions.
one of the best breakfast places i have ever been to! amazing food, amazing coffee, friendly staff, and good prices. definitely going to keep coming back! perfect breakfast date spot :)
Food was delicious and coffee creamers included oat and almond which is super thoughtful.
This place is really good . I enjoyed the breakfast that I had so much . Very tasty , quality and well seasoned food. The waiter was very attentive and efficient. Fast service as well. Seating was great and plenty of outdoor seating as well. They have alcoholic beverages for those who want that . Bottomless mimosas. Parking isn’t the worst . Plenty of parking .
Delicious homemade breakfast and lunch. We called ahead with a large party and were seated right away. It was too chilly today to sit outside but the view is amazing up through the leaves across the patio. We had oatmeal, omelets and mimosas with beautiful presentation and generous amounts of food.
Family-friendly breakfast and lunch place. Small town atmosphere and convenient location. We live their Norwegian and Danish dishes, like the benedict with salmon and spinach.
Super legit food, while very basic…. Executed upon perfectly. Great service and a chill environment; you won’t be let down here. Cheers!
I’ve been here many, many, many times. Both pre and post-pandemic. Breakfast is always top-notch. My favorite is the corned beef hash special with a side of banana pancakes. Excellent food and service by staff, this place will always hold a special place in my heart.
Super nice breakfast place, food is delicious and staff was very helpful! We were a big group and they split our bill and made possible to pay separately !
Great service. Prices a bit high for breakfast items ($15 for 2 eggs with hash browns, onions, and cheese. $3.25 for tea). The food was delicious, and breakfast comes with a choice of typical breads or toasted sourdough bread. The breakfast bar was clean as was the silverware and dishware.
Breakfast was amazing. Chocolate chip pancake and the blueberry pancake were amazing. .
Best breakfast place in SF. Get Agustin’s stuffed hash and Ultimate breakfast! You wont be disappointed

Best breakfast cafe that I have been to in a long time. Wait staff were exceptionally attentive and extremely pleasant. There were 5 of us. There wasn't a table available to seat us when we first walked in, but within in minutes they were able to accommodate us. Really pleasant atmosphere and very clean. We ordered breakfast and the food was delicious and the portions were generous. Overall, a great experience and really worth eating there.
Great diner breakfast choices and coffee! Service was excellent. Very family-friendly. Nice interior and seating, clean and comfortable. Good location.
Consistently delicious food and great for kids. Friendly staff and fair prices. By far my favorite local breakfast place!
Great pancakes! Best bacon in Marin county and hash browns freshly shredded and seasoned wonderfully
They did terrific. Some miss the danish inspired menu page. Meatballs were great same w the smoked salmon. All the sides and sauces were terrific as well. Attentive service. Thank you!

It's hard to find parking and lunch for three adults was $80+. It's expensive.
Cosy inviting little place. Food is good enough with large portions. The staff are efficient but not very friendly but not rude or unfriendly either. Weekend brunch you can get bottomless mimosas. Haven't tried them so can't tell you if they're good. They are popular!
Crowded and a bit overpriced....not fond of one waitress with snotty personality, who drinks the bottomless Mimosas while working!!! Very unprofessional!!!!! (I'd let her go immediately) Food is good.
While visiting Corte Madera, we found this cafe that serves a mean breakfast. Service was friendly and fast, food was delicious and the only down side was the limited parking. We had to park several blocks away but who doesn't need the exercise?!?
There are many restaurants in the Corte Madera area but not many fine places for breakfast like this place. Great food and superb service.

Breakfast for 2...53.00 without tip. Corned Beef Hash and 3 Eggs 18.95 Avocado Swiss Omelet 19.95 2 coffees..8.50 I wanted Egg Benedict which is why I chose this place but they were out at 215 on a Sunday 😒 I get it..things are expensive and cost of doing business is high. I worked in restaurants for a good time in my 20's but this is ridiculous. The food was good and service was good but this is a basic/ above average diner place. 62.00 out the door for two for breakfast...wow.
I wanted to like The Lighthouse Cafe more - good location, clean, spacious and appealing interior, sum fun dishes well prepared. But the waiter was unable to deliver my homefries well done (first he delivered has browns then lightly cooked home fries... I couldn't bring myself to send them back twice), and the banal 80's anthem rock background music doesn't fit the patrons or vibe.

Service was a little lacking, but they were busy. My wife got the filet mignon benedict, one of the specials. The meat was very well done. The rest of the food was good.
Good pancakes. Ordered two plain pancakes ($10.95) and the server asked if I and the person I was with if we were both eating them. We were splitting them, which would have been fine with one plate, but the server decided to charge for 2 individual pancakes @ $6.95 each. Watch your tab at this place.
Staff were terribly slow on Sunday. We waited 20mins after we sat down for any coffee. Had to walk up and ask for milk, he didnt care and took 10 more mins to bring milk. All butter is served in single use plastic tube which is a shame. Food was really good.
The hostess was horrible. He was not welcoming at all. My kids wait a long time for food to come out. Waiter was nice just the atmosphere was very not kid friendly. Will not recommend for families to take your kid here and exposed them to grumpy adults that look at the phones and don't want to hear any noise. Food was alright and not cheap.
The food is okay here - pretty standard for this type of place, but they've recently begun adding a "bacon surcharge" which is not disclosed on the menu. If they forget to provide you with a notice, you end up paying an extra $2.75, in addition to all the other taxes and fees. I'm sorry, but I'm done with this hidden pricing, especially considering how expensive everything is anyway. Next!
The service was really bad. We had to seat ourselves after 5 min because no one came to seat us. Then I had to go to the counter and get my own menu because again no one came to give us any menus for about 10 min. The waiters/bus boy came one time throughout the whole meal and that was to give us our food and silverware. When we finally caught someone to ask for the check they dropped it off and didn’t return again to get the card. Had to go to the counter again and ask them to ring me up. Service was a 0. The food was not great either. Hard to screw up huevos rancheros but it was pretty bland. I would never go back.
Stood ~15 minutes inside and did not got any acknowledgement from hostess, manager, or staff. They did not look at us once. Could have said, "20 minute wait", or "you're next", or "would you like cup of coffee?" Instead they decided to do nothing. Dont go there if dining area is full. Just go outside to a nearby, friendlier restaurant.
The food here is great but not the service. My husband and I came here for brunch and we were the only blacks. Everyone who was seated after us was served and we were served last. I was going to leave but my husband insisted that we stay. I don’t think I’ll dine here again this was not what I was expecting.
I have a Galaxy 8 phone. I tell you this because there is a feature on this phone that keeps the display on at all times, which means the clock is always showing. So it is sitting on the table and I notice my friend sat down at 8:51AM on Saturday. After ten minutes with no attention, in a restaurant that is perhaps 1/4 full (so not at all busy) we start trying to signal for attention. At 9:10 I stood up and called to a busboy to please send someone to our table. We could see the servers, see the staff, didn't look like they were doing much of anything. At 9:17, with absolutely no visit to the table, no water or coffee even, we walked out. Found another spot not far away, it was packed. Found another - it was packed. Easy to see why they were packed and Laura's was 1/4 full.
Been coming for years. Good little bkfst/lunch spot Today however we were short on time. Knew what we wanted so when the waitress came over with menus we simply said "we are ready to order" Waitress abruptly turns away and says "well I'm not ready to take your order!" She was clearly having a difficult day and her body language and demeanour suggested as much. My girlfriend and I couldn't wait so we left a small tip on the table and walked out. On way out the waitress calls out to my girlfriend "aren't you going to stay?" My girlfriend said "you were rude". Waitress says "don't ever come back!" Wow!!! That's certainly not a good way to endear a loyal following.
My 1st experience was the worst experience! Omar, one of the servers did not demonstrate a kosher way of operating. My partner and I observed him rubbing his nose and then touching food with his hands. I discreetly addressed the matter with Omar, and asked if would wash his hands and explained he was in violation of the health and safety requirements. He admitted to using his hands, and said "it's not a problem using his hands, stating he always uses his hands, and then he rudely told me to leave, we will not serve you." I asked to speak with the manager, and Omar, said, "he's not here, come back tomorrow". Then he followed me to my table, as I was about to share with my partner that we are leaving, and he again, outlandishly waved his hands opposingly, and told me to leave, we will not serve you! I was embarrassed and humiliated, and shocked of the fact they aren't operating under sanitary conditions. I would not recommend this place at all, especially if you care about your health.
I am regular here. I asked if I could sit at a specific table that was available and the server told me no. Meanwhile they had 3 other tables available that were not cleared yet. I won’t go back due to the treatment. The staff could use additional training.
