They were pretty busy the day we went, but we still had excellent service. The hostess and server were attentive. The food was incredible. The sushi was spot on!
The food was delicious, ordered a signature roll, spring rolls and fried rice with steak. Great pricing and great service. New sushi spot found!!!
this restaurant is amazing the two hostess were so nice and my server was Avery and she was the most amazing server I’ve ever had and I have delivered here too, and my delivery driver was outstanding and very quick. I love this place will be coming back!!!
My friends and I have an annual tradition of going to Mt. Fuji Hibachi in Highland Village, after Christmas Eve service at church. This year, there were no reservations available at Mt. Fuji. We instead went to ablue Ginger Japanese Bistro. While they don't have a hibachi grill to sit and be entertained, they do offer hibachi entrees. Which we ordered (filet mignon and shrimp). There were generous portions of both. We also ordered dumplings and spring rolls for appetizers, along with the Denton sushi roll and smoked salmon. Everything was tasted, very good portions and frankly, I personally thought the food was better at Blue Ginger than our traditional dinner at Mt. Fuji. It is a smaller location and the seating is a bit tight, but well worth the squeeze. Our server was good, though she didn't seem to want to be there and was morose. She did her job and was good to ensure all of our food was spaced out and not to arrive all at once.
One of my favorites!! Hibachi without the hibachi tables, wait or expense!! The best of all worlds!! Appetizers, hibachi and sushi are all amazing. Great service. Small restaurant but absolutely worth the wait.
I have been coming here for many years now and this will always be my favorite sushi restaurant!! Great quality, amazing service, and good prices. Not only do they have amazing sushi but they also have good hibachi, soups, and noodles. Definitely recommend Blue Ginger ❤️
Our food and service were amazing. Warren's service, the food, and atmosphere are why we will return. We ordered the Crab Rangoon as an appetizer and it was amazing. The sauce pairing by the house is perfect! We ordered the Philadelphia Roll and Shrimp Fried Rice and both were stellar.
I was in this plaza few days ago , my husband had a doctor visit , the room was crowd so I went out and walking in the plaza and I discover this restaurant , I wanted just a snack to go but when I went in i find a nice atmosfere , very welcoming So I sit had 3 egg roll with a glass of wine, the service was superb with the young Japanise American waiter a future Jazz musician , had really good time , you shall try, the hospitality is great, food is fabulous too, Sorry I eat the egg roll and show empty plate in the photo , i hope I go there again since i live over 30 minutes away but one day I will. Thank you all of you that work in this little restaurant . I felt I was in Japan! LOl, really , Arigato!
Had to finally stop by Blue Ginger. It’s been in my boyfriend’s and I’s list for a while now. The gyoza and the crab rangoons were fire. I initially was a tad disappointed in the small amount of crab in the ‘goons, but I was too happy about actually eating them to mind. Miso soup is a classic. I love it. their onion soup was also great. I got the Ahi tuna tower while my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki dinner. I stole a piece of his chicken… yum! They didn’t slack on the tuna on my tower. Always been a fan of the crab & avocado with it, I feel it compliments the spice of the tuna well. Our waitress tonight was Dolma. Very sweet, super attentive. Service was quick. My heart burn was catching up to me at the end of my meal and she rushed over with water when she noticed, haha. We will be coming back! Thank you.
This was a very pleasant dining experience! I searched online for sushi in the Denton Texas area and Blue Ginger was a good find. This was my first time eating here. The restaurant was busy, which made me believe it was a good spot. I got my food quickly and it was delicious! Two sushi rolls and some onion soup. I will definitely stop by here the next time I am in the area.
Quaint sushi restaurant tucked further back in past Rodeo Goat and Chuy’s if you’re on I-35. It was our first time here and we had a great experience. My husband and I both got the Maki Lunch with 3 rolls and 2 rolls with gyoza as our appetizer. He ordered salmon avocado, tuna, and the Philadelphia roll. I got the salmon avocado and shrimp tempura. All of it was delicious and felt very light, which was what we were looking for. I believe their lunch is also available on weekends until 3pm. The menu has lots of options and we will definitely be back to explore it and try other items! Overall, a must-try if you’re in the Denton area looking for sushi!
Walking in the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The service was good and the food was good. We ordered the Crab Rangoon which came with a sweet Dipping Sauce. They were Crispy with a Creamy Filling of Cream Cheese and Crab! Very Delicious! We ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box which was on a bed of Shredded Cabbage and a Tempura Shrimp Bento box which had 3 Shrimp, 1 Sweet Potato, 1 Zucchini, 1 Onion Ring Bento Box included 6 pieces of California Roll, White Rice, Egg Roll which was Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and Choice of Soup or Salad. All the food was really good and presented really nicely. The menu is rather large and offers a lot of choices. Nice Family Friendly Restaurant!
Me and my family come here often and are never disappointed. The staff is quick to get what you need and answer any questions with kindness. Each roll we received was flavorful, fresh, and delicious and the sauce complimented each one beautifully. I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone wanting to try some fresh sushi.
5 out of 5! The menu has lots of options! Great food and great service! Our server Jacob was fantastic and attentive! Went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy in there but with a party of 10 our wait wasn't long at all! Definitely expected to have a longer wait. The prices were decent, I had a New York Strip as my main meal, it was delicious. Had some Crunchyroll, onion soup and a salad! My Husband had spicy Cajun roll, some tasty dumplings called gyoza (definitely recommend) and his main course was blue ginger roll and he thoroughly enjoyed it! My best friend had lobster tail and filet mignon, it was also delicious!! We will definitely be going back to try even more food choices! We loved our food and had a great time!
The food was great, the service was wicked fast, I seriously could not believe how quickly my sushi platter came out. Oh, and the ginger sauce that goes with the house salad is to die for. They sell it separately if you ask, and it's very much worth it. My only complaint is some of the tables are rather close together, and it became a little packed during the dinner rush.
This used to be my favorite sushi spot in Denton. The service was never good, BUT the owner was warm and friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. I don't know what happened between then and now, but the entire restaurant is a shell of what it once was. This evening, we walked in to find 3 hostesses sitting behind the host stand, and one of them was eating. I guess that's not technically a problem, but it was strange. We were seated and greeted promptly by a young man who took our drink order, brought our drinks, and then disappeared to the back office (I could see his head) for 10 minutes. 10 minutes is not an exaggeration. He came back finally and said "do you need more time?" Which was funny... We ordered, and about 15 minutes later, my partners food came out of the kitchen. I then proceeded to watch MY food sit atop the sushi line for (again, not an exaggeration) 7 minutes. During the 7 minutes, our server was seated in the office again. The owner was at the register preparing to go orders. The 3 hostesses were still seated at the host stand, being paid to... watch the door? I guess? 2 other servers walked past my food at least half a dozen times. The people at this restaurant operate with 0 concern for the guests, 0 sense of urgency, and 0 appreciation for the customer. The food was also mid, at best. The Temptation Roll that I used to dream about was a bland shadow of what it used to be. What a shame. For one of the pricier sushi places in Denton this is an absolute ripoff. I will not return.
Poor customer service. Menu states soup and salad come with hibachi dinner. I bought a $26 hibachi dinner to go. They refused to provide soup or salad. Unacceptable. Also having a kid with candy in her mouth telling me this bad news is a joke. So is the manager / owner looking at me and shaking her head no from across the restaurant. Hope it was worth saving a couple dollars.
