Falafellove

First time did not disappoint!! One falafel plate and one chicken plate. Fresh and flavorful. Cozy ambience on a beautiful Fall afternoon we chose to sit by the water. Friendly staff and fast service. So excited to have a new lunch spot!

My first falafel experiences were in the SF Bay, mostly near San Jose, starting around 1980. There are a lot of issues with the bay, but the inflow of internationals makes for a great variety in food, including many falafel shops. After trying many falafel places, I settled on the Falafel Drive In on Stevens Creek, and the Falafel STOP in Sunnyvale. Both feature fresh daily falafel and pita. I mention these two because if you lived in the south bay, like falafel, you will know the high standard I am referring to. And if you travel there, these are some of the best. Now I live in Eureka. Falafelove was not exactly like the grind (smaller grind south) but was more chunky and with bolder flavors. It had a "healthier" tactical experience..Falafelove also have great sides. These were all new to me and all were great. The carrots made me head sweat. The slaw was cool and balanced. This place is batting way above it's humble appearance. Plus water side dinning out back? Inside, local artistic, sort of aqua, Native, Spanish. Very comfortable. And the staff, bold yet sensitive. They look like they really like the business, customers, the whole thing. Super friendly, there to help you. I whole heartily endorse the Falafelove food and experience. They deserve 6 stars as they are exceptional.

Good food, loved having tastes of so many sides. Lemon beets were my favorite. Careful of the tables outside…sit on opposite sides or they can tip over! 😂

I don’t write reviews very often but Falafel Love is so damn good I thought I finally should. I’ve been going for a while now and lately it has become a regular weekly visit. The food is just great and the owner and staff could not be more welcoming or friendly. I think I’ve tried just about everything on the menu at this point and it’s honestly hard to pick a favorite because I’ve liked everything I’ve had. That said I usually go with the chicken special plate. Two slow cooked thighs (with changing spices and usually potatoes and carrots) served over turmeric rice and a choice of sides. Again, all good but hummus, baba ganoush, cabbage, and Mediterranean pico are my favorites. This place is just great and you should definitely give it a try.

We got a falafal plate, pita and malabi for desert. All items were fresh and delicious, each side had a unique flavor. They were also very nice, service was quick and outdoor seating had a great view.

So excited about this new addition to Humboldt. Everything was fresh and colorful and delicious! I got the falafel plate with sides (you choose 4!) of hummus, spicy carrots, Medi Pico and fire roasted peppers. The falafel was crispy on the outside but light and fluffy on the inside almost like a croquette. The husband got the chicken special with sides of beets, cabbage, Medi Pico, carrots and a Za’atar pita on the side. You can sit out back by the water and your order is delivered through a little service window. Congratulations to Ari, his best friend Tony and daughter Aura. It was fantastic. We’ll be back soon.

If I could give more stars I would. Hands down one of the best meals I have had in years. Tony and Avi are kind, friendly and just plain amazing. DO NOT pass up the chance to eat here. Your belly will thank you!! 😋

What a beautiful gem of a restaurant that we get to enjoy in Humboldt. We genuinely enjoyed every bite we had with our sun-dried tomato chicken thigh special. All the sides we chose, the hummus, baba ganoush, spicy carrots, and broiled cauliflower were amazing. The baba ganoush was possibly the best I've ever had, smokey but not overwhelmingly and went perfectly with the fresh pita. This spot is a must try. It's not just tasty, it's real food. You feel healthy, happy, and replenished when you're finished, which is not something I can often say after a meal out. I'm excited to make Falafel Love a new regular spot. (Don't forget dessert!)

We ate here a few weeks ago and have not been able to stop thinking about it since! The service was wonderful and all of the food was flavorful and devious. Definitely the best falafel I have ever had. Everything is made in house except for the tortillas used for the wraps. My 14 month old is very picky but loved the chicken and pita. We don’t go south of Eureka often but definitely look forward to going back

The food, the people, the no-frills comfy space, and the cute puppers that randomly greet you, there is only everything to love about this place. And seriously some of the best Mediterranean food I have had in the US.

What a beautiful space and such delicious food! The menu is very customizable, with options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters, and the outdoor eating space is right on the water (where else can you do that in Humboldt?!). Affordable too and great staff! Truly a new Humboldt gem, 100% worth a stop in King Salmon!

I had been looking forward to trying Falafelove since they opened, and they did not disappoint! Everything on my falafel plate was so fresh and well-prepared, and the falafel balls were perfectly crispy and herbaceous. Tony and Avi are great conversationalists, and cultivate a welcoming atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

Best restaurant in Humboldt! Real quality Mediterranean flavors, quality ingredients, and great atmosphere. Only complaint is it's not closer to me.

5 stars Falafel Love is a hidden gem on the water in King Salmon — amazing food and a dockside view? Yes please. I had the Chicken & Falafel combo plate (about $17) and every bite was a win. The falafel were cute lil' crispy bites, the chicken was juicy and full of flavor, and the rice was perfect. My sides: Green schug (spicy kick) Lemony beets (sweet + tangy) Sumac onions (new flavors, totally addictive) Grandma’s cabbage (comfort in a bite) I was doing the happy food wiggle the whole time. 10/10, go try it!

I seldom write reviews but this place is amazing!! Had a Falafel plate and tried all the sides. You can’t go wrong. The Baklava cheese cake is out of the world too and highly recommend.

The owner/chef will share his secrets of his cooking and his journey if you are curious. When you walk into the restaurant you are transported to the Mediterranean by the beautiful aromas. The food can be enjoyed on the back patio overlooking the water ways. The side dishes are a treat and there are many to choose from. The moroccon fish was fresh from the pot and beautiful . The backlava and Turkish coffee were also delicious. I highly recommend this dining experience.

We ordered the chicken thigh plate and one of the specials which was a kebab plate both were delicious. You get 4 sides with each plate. The spicy carrots and green schug are actually spicy but we like spicier things so it was great. Probably the best hummus I've had. He told us we could order a side of Falafels and glad we did, seasoned nicely, crunchy outside and soft inside. The only side I didn't really like was the babaganoush but I also don't really like eggplant. We really just wanted to try everything. I'll have to go back and try the Rockfish plate! Highly recommend!

Go here and eat great food. I prefer to 3x my hummus for the sides and get a delightful pita from their selection. Remember to grab utensils and water before you head around back for waterfront dining! Order a cupcake. You will be set. Lamb kebab platter! It is the kind of food where you close your eyes and sigh deeply in pleasure after a bite. And? I got to meet and pet 2 wonderful dogs in the parking lot! Bonus!

You’ll have a good walk. My house made, and I did exactly that when first eating the food, taking the time to appreciate the flavors, and then after finishing eating, we went to the beach to enjoy the surroundings. This restaurant is one of the few places that make very exceptional is really inspired Mediterranean foods and it’s located a little off of downtown Eureka or even the main city section. If you are going to visit Humboldt County or are you passing by to find some great really inspired Mediterranean food, this restaurant is a definite stop . What review can be completed without tasting the falafel’s. I like that the falafel‘s are in small balls with cream sauce. Take each bite slowly, and the flavors are very intense with plenty of savory and uplifting spices. Warning to those about gluten, many of these foods can be eaten without gluten, but the only exception is the falafel themselves. My housemate has to eat gluten-free. Even without the falafel’s, the restaurant still excels at what they do best. If you’re driving your way to stop somewhere good, falafel love is the place if you want to take a stop in Humboldt County .
