Avis sur Chef Wong Bistro Flushing
Chef Wong Bistro exceeded all my expectations from the moment I walked in. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — every dish had its own unique character, and you can truly taste the quality of the ingredients. The service was exceptional as well; the staff was friendly, attentive, and very welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting, with a clean and well-kept dining area that enhances the overall experience. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed meal, whether you’re dining alone, with family, or meeting friends. I really appreciated the balance between authenticity and creativity in their menu. Without a doubt, this is one of the best spots in the area. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others. A truly memorable dining experience! 🌟
We recently went here for a small family wedding reception. There were many dishes including Assorted appetizers platter of jelly fish, crispy pork intestine, fried fish/ribs; King crab cooked in 3 ways (fried, steamed and soup-style), Ginger scallions lobsters, lobster with snow pea leaves, steamed fish, soup, crispy chicken and Fried tofu with beef, mushrooms and snow peas. All the dishes were seasoned well. I personally like more of the assorted appetizers platter (not a fan of the crispy pork intestine because it has a very unique taste to it) and the lobster with snow pea leaves. These two dishes are differently cooked compared to my experience from other restaurants. There were some friendly servers. An unique aspect of this place is there is an inside entrance to Artisan Tea & Coffee shop right next door. So if you want specialty drinks from Artisan but don’t want to walk in the cold then this inside entrance makes it very convenient.
I recently dined at this establishment and was thoroughly impressed. The interior was impeccably clean, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The staff was not only extremely nice but also remarkably attentive, ensuring a delightful dining experience. The family-style Chinese food was a true highlight. Dining with a large group of friends or family is highly recommended, as it allows you to savor a variety of delectable dishes. I particularly suggest exploring their seafood options – each dish was a culinary delight. Freshness and taste were consistent across all the dishes, emphasizing the commitment to quality. What surprised me most was the reasonable and affordable pricing considering the exceptional food quality. It's a rare find in the culinary scene. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a combination of clean ambiance, friendly service, and mouthwatering, reasonably priced Chinese cuisine.
This was my first time trying out Family-Styled Chinese restaurant and I was thoroughly impressed. The portions are generous compared to its cost, making it perfect for large groups or family gatherings. The service was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was seamless. The taste and freshness were evident in every dish. In a city filled with many dining options, this place really stood out there. I am really looking forward to my next visit here.
We went with a large group that meets weekly for 'mostly' Chinese food. The service was very good. The food incredible. We had seafood bean curd soup, roast duck (one of the best I have ever had), fried rice, greens, shrimp in lobster sauce, lobster with noodles and fried rice plus a platter of fruit to end. This is classic Cantonese food with great attention to detail. One of the more delicious meals we have had in many trips to Flushing.
Hidden Gem just a little past the main Streets of Flushing. This is a new restaurant that just open! My family l, family friends and I stop by for dinner. ( we order many dishes.. this isn’t all of it… I just forgot to take more pictures.. too busy eating ahha..) I’m just glad it’s not another Hotpot place… they seriously need to stop opening so much of those… This is Cantonese food ^^! And boy was it authentic. Taste just like the food I had back in China (I guess this being Flushing.. shouldn’t be too surprising but I’m still pleased) The food was really fantastic! Each dish was fantastic… the Fried Bombay Duck fish (I just found out what they are called today haha) was super fresh and just melts in your mouth. My parent order the fish so I don’t know the name, but it’s one of the fish in those tanks. Also super fresh, and flavorful. My favorite is without a doubt the Lobsters though. Omg sooooo good! We ordered 4, and end up eating all 4… no left overs lol. The service was also fantastic. The staff is extremely attentive. My personal plates was replaced with me asking, so I always have a pretty clean plate to eat in front of. Lastly, the price was very reasonable. Most of the dishes were around $15-$25. Fresh seas food price is base on market, but even then, it’s not bad. Really recommend to try it out if you got a chance. (And order that pepper and salt Bombay Duck Fish if you never tried it! Trust me!)
Had a great experience here with my family. From the moment we stepped in, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Every dish we had was so delicious, but the standout was the salted-egg yolk lobster!! MUST TRY!! Everyone kept talking about how yummy everything was, and we can't wait to go back.
The food here is delicious and good portions. Service was also great! We rsvped a private room and it was nice inside. There was karaoke available as well! My family and I had a great time!
Great food, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. Glad to find this new gem on Northern Blvd. Will definitely be coming here again when we crave Cantonese food.
Having lunch on a weekday. Their (豪華商務 - business)l unch special has great selections. Their soup was very good (on a saltier side) and the portion sure worth the price. Clean place and good service. Will definitely go back 😀
Friendly and efficient service. Abalone, scallop soup was a surprise but it tasted good. Overall good was good and reasonably priced.

I often come here with friends or order to go for home party. Their King Crab is delicious. Fish is fresh too. Even the ordinary dishes like soy sauce roasted chicken and stirred fries are made well. One of the best Cantonese restaurants in Flushing, validated by my parents who travelled here from Hong Kong
Very accommodating with allergies and extremely well priced delicious food. Whether you choose to sit down to eat or do take-out you won't be disappointed. The staff is friendly and quick to help you with anything you might have. If youre nearby or want some authentic or American Chinese food, this place has both.
Best sit down Cantonese restaurant in flushing! Really good chow fun, super affordable prices too. Great lunch specials.

Lovely service, best black bean clams I’ve ever had. Super fresh and succulent. Lunch menu prices have also come down!
Cantonese style dining in a spacious dining area. Located just off of Northern Blvd. And Farrington Street. Private rooms for parties available as well - must reserve. Lobster sauteed with ginger and scallion was really good. I recommend the fried milk and shrimp with walnuts. The mushroom longevity noodles were good too.
Nice Chinese dining experience. Loved their sweet and sour chicken. Great portion, good price , great service and they are friendly too. The lobster on special was Steamed and we enjoyed that, good price .. Loved the tea for appetizer and the oranges for dessert. Healthy options
Great place for family style meal and gathering, most tables are big round table, apart from lunch specials I think this place is better to enjoy with big group so you can order more dishes and fresh seafood. They have big fish tanks at the dining room you can see live seafood available for purchase. Their famous king crab is $40/lbs which isn’t a bad deal when you have a big group. The lobster special is daily, but you need or order at least one dish from menu in order to order one lobster, two main for two special price lobster etc. two flavors are free of charge are ginger scallion and salt & pepper. Lobster is big and juicy. I had a lamb and beancurd skin casserole, the lamb is skin on the bone in, more like lamb legs, the dish was a bit bland I didn’t even finish, pack it home to cook more. I had a mix BBQ with crispy pork belly and duck, it was not great, pork is very dry and there’s only a quarter duck and four of five pieces are just skin and fat, for over $20 that’s really not a good portion and quality. The service was good, our waiters are attentive, refill water when it’s empty and change our plates when they are full of shells.
The place is bright and clean. Service is fire. My order was a little bland. I ordered Seafood with pan fried noodles. Everything was cooked well but lacked flavors. I ordered food to take back to my hotel. I could use a sauce of some kind. Regardless it is a cold night and they sent me on my way with a warm cup of water to keep my hands and belly warm. Way to go!!!!

I was excited to try Chef Wong Bistro because of the high rating and reviews found on Google - a 4.5 out of 5 which is rare for a Chinese restaurant. Only a couple of photos posted on google lead me to being slightly skeptical on the high review ratings - namely the photos of the Cantonese fried milk which looked heavily battered and slightly burnt. But I was eager to have a yummy dinner tonight with GF and friend visiting from Tokyo. So we arrived at this Cantonese Restaurant and it was about half full on Christmas eve. I was a bit surprised most of the staff did not speak fluent Cantonese or a dialect of and most of the patrons that were Chinese were not speaking Cantonese either. But the food should speak for itself...onto the food! First dish that arrived was the fried milk. It was just like what others had posted up which made me slightly skeptical of the 4.5 rating - such a disappointment - 6 thickly coated and burnt on the edges odd shaped things on a plate with a spoon. Taste and texture is below average with thick crust and slight burnt edges just as it looks. Then the salt braised half of chicken (which was a special promo if you spend $100 you can order this half chicken for $1!) - a bit overly salty and average tasting/texture. However the ginger scallion oil condiment - one of my fav condiments - was missing one essential element the abundance of oil! It was made and served with barely any oil. Very odd. Next came the clams in black bean ginger sauce - this was the best dish tonight in my opinion. Fresh clams and cooked just right with tasty sauce. Next arrived the snow pea leaves in garlic - average and not overcooked. Last main dish was the large prawns in salted egg yolk - slightly below average as most Cantonese restaurants who offer this dish make it better. The salted egg yolk in my experience should be part of the batter when the shrimp is fried and when done it should light loaded with flavor. Here the dish was made where majority of the salted egg yolk made was like a gooey thick sauce over the fried shrimp. Not what I was expecting at all. The braised mushroom e-fu noodles were lacking mushrooms and supporting veggies compared to others I have had - rating below average. Last was the complimentary 8 slices of orange and tong sui - average. Overall it was average for food, service, and below average for ambiance - the toilets had loose to sink faucets that were dangling, toilet flush buttons that had the covers missing, and a bit unclean. I still disappointed at the 4.5 high rating thus I am writing this review.

I came for lunch and did not like either the food or service. Food didn’t look anything like the picture they posted. Beef was too hard to chew. $15.95 for lunch is not worth it when I had to leave without barely eating anything. The picture below was taken right before I left.
