Very tasty fried rice! They dont have crab Rangoon!! ! Very Pricey tho I bought Chicken general tso comes with small white rice , and large plain fired rice, They charged me$31, Just plain fried rice cost $9.75, if you only add onions to the rice, its$13 !!!!! Insane!!!

It’s a tiny little dingy place that feels a little bit like visiting your hoarder grandmother’s kitchen. But we loved the food and the staff were great.

I've been coming to King Chef for quite a few years. The staff is always pleasant and greets me by name! The fried chicken here is simply amazing! Fried while your wait, not precooked and warmed up. The skin is crispy and flavorful while the meat remains juicy. I'll be back again soon!

Super tasty , fried chicken is still good 🔥🔥 Update: I do agree portion size is v small, I got 4 chicken wings over pork fried rice, but they separated it and the rice came in the small qt container Update 2: The chicken is well seasoned however the batter can be a bit too thick, it’s crunchy but thick , overall maybe 4/5 the flavor and fresh fry oil is there the batter it self can be better

Be prepared to wait and enjoyed that fried and deep inside it covered with spices and very juicy chicken that will blow up your tastebud and forget the Popeyes and kfc!

Good enough for me to order form many times before. I cant say it is always on time and [perfect, but worth giving them a try and see for yourself. If you ask me I would avoid the deep friend dishes, all the rest are good.

One of the best general tso chicken I have had, really so far number 1 general tso chicken in my book. The breading is not too thick, pleasant texture, the chicken is not dry, the sauce isn't extremely over powering and it's delicious. This is in comparison to a decent sample size of Chinese take out places over the tri-state area. Other menu items don't really stand out like the general tso chicken here, fried chicken is okay.

I’ve been having chicken fried rice all my life on all boroughs and king chef is the best. Idk how they make it but best chicken hands down. I’ve even seen mets baseball players having these deliciousness

Didn't like the small dine in area as it was cluttered with restaurant supplies. Ordered the sesame chicken, which was a good-sized portion. Prices were reasonable for Flushing, NY area.

Based on what I read, I guess there were changes in the place. I had a DoorDash order from them 3 years ago and was pleased with the quality. The other day, I stopped by to place a takeout order and it was very disconcerting to hear the cashier yell at folks on the phone, customers and the staff. The food was overpriced and the quality was subpar.

Their "fried wontons" are just fried wonton wrappers with no filling. Essentially wasted $7 and I can't get a refund on it.

Their chicken used to be the best, even better than the Popeyes next door. We used to call it the "crack chicken" since it's highly possible to get addicted to it lol. However, on my last visit, it became meh. Maybe they changed the chef.

Everything there is so expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants and the quality isnt significantly better. The delivery guy always rushes me to come out!! The chicken wings are really good though.

I was not too happy with their food or their service. The only thing that I can say that they did well was that the delivery was quick. The food was ok. The dumplings are way too thick. They're more like mushy empanadas rather than dumplings. They argued with my sister because they refused to give forks and napkins even though we spent nearly $60 in food. The food was pretty salty. I dont reccomend that anyone orders from them. I know that I wont be.

Worst Chinese food I’ve eaten. After a long day of working, this isn’t what I was expecting to eat. Really want my refund to be honest.food wasn’t properly cooked. Tasted like salt. The chicken was fried on the outside and barely cooked in the inside. Try it at your own risk.

We had a terrible experience with customer service. Two of the same order were added by mistake and the bank noticed and rectified it by letting us know of the error. The older man who came to delivery the food did not only refuse to leave his car to deliver it, but started yelling and being belligerent about the mixup. He accused my boyfriend of "costing him money" and was hesitate to give up the food he paid for! Worst of all, there was a sharp shard of wood found in one of the food containers, easily puncturing the inside of the throat if was not caught earlier. We will never purchase anything from this restaurant again!

0 stars - I couldn’t even finish my order; had to stop eating because I didn’t want to get sick. The ingredients in the moo goo gai pan were not fresh at all. You could clearly see the edges of the veggies had turned brown. The chicken had a weird taste, like it was just about to go bad. The mushrooms were not firm and plump, kind of droopy & almost slimy. My hubby’s pork fried rice was very hard - he thinks the rice wasn’t fully cooked. We had to throw it out. He ate more than I did and now he’s feeling sick. What a waste of money.

Their menu price and what they charge you is completely different. They overcharge everything on the menu and the lady picking up the phone is extremely rude. They tried charging me $34 for 2 lunch specials.

Everything on the menu was super overpriced, and the server was super rude. The food was either super salty or soggy. You better off getting Popeyes next door.

Thought something was wrong when I had the general tso's...chicken was hard... undercooked hard... 7 hours later stomach ache... 1 more hour later complete Diarrea... that was the only thing I ate today so no doubt. Was feeling nad for the service... but the food after effects made me realize that the store has problems far worst than service. So go if you only want to have diarea for the next few days

Please listen to the rest of the reviews and avoid this place at all costs. Their customer service and food is such bad quality I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like this in my whole life. I thought maybe they had good days and bad judging from the reviews but the experience there with both the food and customer service has made it so bad that I had to come on google and leave a review when I’ve never done that in my life.

We have been going there the last 5 years. Always a problem. Always attitude and sneaky talk among themselves. Usually I don't even order, i just leave. Why? Very unclean habits!! Seriously, pay attention if you go. WATCH THEM YOURSELF. Never seen anyone washing their hands there, EVER. I see them cough on their hands, pluck their nose, scratch themselves, take money and then serve your food. NO exaggeration. That's why my boss leaves without ordering. I see people complain about that every time i go. Do not eat here!!! Today (which will be the LAST TIME) i went to order Pork Fried Rice, Beef on a Stick, and a can of Coca-Cola...$14 and change. I gave the woman a $50. She returned later and give me $5 for my change. I realized this was wrong afterwards when i counted my money. When i brought the matter to their attention; Instead of checking into the situation, their response was to blame me for not counting my change. I said i counted it fine, it's $30 short. She remembers cashing out my co-worker for $100 bill, remembers giving $80+ back to him. Remembers every order from the crew just fine, price and change. Conveniently, She can't remember taking my $50 and giving me only $5. She says she gave me "correct change," but can't say how much my meal was, what i gave, what i ordered, or what my change was supposed to be, She will only say she gave me "correct change." I assure you, that she is wrong. I wouldn't waste time writing a review if i didn't believe they deserve bad press. They do. I had 4 co-workers witness the lady lie about it. My boss was also present and knew himself that i gave a $50 bill. KING CHEF staff wouldn't count their drawer, or check the cameras.They continued to tell me it's my fault for not saying something right away. Wrong, they should have given me correct change from the beginning. They will no longer see my money. Don't give them yours.

My experience with this Chinese restaurant is terrible. I have been coming to this restaurant often, but lately, the customer service has gone down the hills. I had called to order delivery and my delivery was wrong. I reported to the manager, and he started yelling and putting the blame on us, saying he" was busy" and hung up the phone. We called three times after, but never picked up. We had also called to order for a pick up, and the person that picked up the phone could not take the order right. We repeated the word "peanuts" 5 times, but he still did not understand. He had to put someone else on the phone to get our order. I would not be coming to this restaurant. I would give it a shot and go next door to Mr. Chang. Avoid the headache of dealing with disrespectful and aggressive people.

King Popeyes is what they should call this place ! Foods not really authentic Chinese food … the chicken has an American light spice with a hint of cinnamon in it smh ???? Very weird never tasted anything like it … Definitely won’t be back Did u guys steal Popeyes receipt ??? Doesn’t taste nothing like Chinese food (chicken anyways) Incredible! Honestly this use to be a really great place to eat but the quality over time has completely deteriorated... We go back because it was honestly an amazing restaurant with great food so we were hoping it gets back to greatness at some point however it seems unlikely... I ordered the seafood lo mein and it was completely unedible... First I said no shrimp and I found shrimp in my food.... Then the noodles were so dry they seemed old they had no flavor or sauce and the seafood was sooooooo old and rubbery it couldn't even be chewed or swallowed for that matter.. I was so disappointed I finally decided its time to let this place go... Seems like the only thing they actually pay attention to is the fried chicken everything else is better found someplace else. This place use to be great.
