Came here for the lunch buffet ($25.95) and was amazed by the food quality and the cleanliness. The beef koobideh was properly seasoned and done. The shrimp skewers were delicious - the doneness was just right that they were very juicy. Do note their lunch buffet is only served Wednesday through Friday, and until 2:30pm. I recommend their lunch buffet if it happens to fits in your schedule.

Amazing food, service, and ambiance, but slightly over priced. We tried the Kaleh Pacheh, Barg, Koobideh, and the Mezze Platter. The Kaleh Pacheh was excellently prepared and well cooked, and presented nicely with a side of pickles and Sangak bread. The Barg kabob was by far the most amazing dish, very tasty, well marinated, juicy, and perfectly cooked and presented.

A great restaurant offering authentic Iranian cuisine. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are courteous, and the food is delicious. Portions are generous and offer excellent value for money. The garnishing is mouthwatering, adding to a truly appetizing experience. A must visit if you’re in the area.

Solid Mediterranean spot. Been twice both times had a Persian cucumber martini and hummus to start. Both the tzadziki garlic yogurt and yogurt w cucumber are good. Falafel are solid with tahini dip. Kobbideh beef skewers were great. Rack of lamb pops were unreal!! Ozzie and the rest of the staff are great. Recommended!

Delicious food! It’s fresh and full of flavor. One of the best hummus I’vd had. Great customer service and nice ambiance. Loved the patio with the florals.

Alright, this place was definitely not what my family was expecting at all and very underdressed for the dinner. The inside is very clean and nice and has some beautiful decor and statues that were pretty cool! As far as the food, everything genuinely tasted great. The hummus and the 3 Hot Plate Platter are a must-have! We could not stop eating all the sauces and hummus with the pita bread. The entrees were recommended by our wonderful waitress, who said the lamb is the go-to. The lamb IS the go-to. Had wonderful flavor and seasoning. Perfectly cooked and very moist! The rice was alright, not the best, and very dry, but of course, you get the lamb dish for the lamb, not the rice. The chicken kabob was also great and perfectly cooked chicken with wonderful flavor and zest of lemon! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for Greek food! Also, our server was honestly the best of the night. I forgot her name, but she killed it and was on it with the drinks. She made the night more special, and pray God be with her and her twins!

Lots of praise for this restaurant! One more may not make a difference. If you like Persian food in a modern atmosphere, this is an excellent option. Kudos to Ali for his service. Food was delicious. We will return.

Caspian Restaurant – Great Buffet with a Luxurious Ambiance! I’ve been to Caspian Restaurant several times, and their lunch buffet (11:30 AM – 2:30 PM) is a great deal at $25 before tax. The buffet offers a wide variety of Persian and Mediterranean dishes, including chicken kabob, beef koobideh, shrimp, fish, herb rice, and basmati rice. There’s also a vegetarian Gheymeh stew and a unique beef Bolognese pasta, which adds a nice twist. For starters, they serve fresh salad, hummus, pita bread, and mast-o-khiar (yogurt with cucumber), all of which were fresh and flavorful. While most of the food was delicious, I found the beef koobideh a little dry, but everything else was well-seasoned and tasty. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a luxurious ambiance that makes for a great dining experience. The hosts were kind and responsive, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience. They also have a separate hookah lounge for those who want to enjoy it. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which is always a good sign of a well-run establishment. Plus, parking is free and plentiful, making it convenient for guests. Overall, a great place for a Persian buffet with excellent value—just wish the koobideh was a bit juicier!

6/6/2026 What an amazing dining experience this evening at Caspian Mediterranean Kitchen. We had reservations for 5pm which is early when dining at a Mediterranean restaurant yet we were both hungry for their amazing food. Soliel was our amazing server and what a dynamo she is. Not only did Soliel provide superb customer server to my wife and I, she also tended bar and handled several other tables. What a wonderful person and what we had hear from her she is a super mom as well. The ambiance was pleasant and they play some awesome music prior to the late night live music they offer. We started with the Kashk bademjan and a side of cucumbers with a Caesar salad with ice tea. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Soliel checked back with us and we ordered our entrees. We both had the koobideh combo entree with my wife opting for rice and I substituted the rice for a wonderful veggie skewer. The food, service, ambiance and people are amazing. We also had an opportunity to speak with Reza another amazing server and the manager who is always welcoming and a pleasure to interact with. We finished the evening with a coffee and my wife opted for the vegan ice cream. Such a delightful time and dining experience. The restaurant is spotless and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended. 11/9/2024 Had a wonderful dinner at Caspian in Foothill Ranch. We were taking to a lovely table near a window and immediately had water and a friendly greeting from Moses, one of the service attendants. Moses was professional, friendly, and kind. Brenda, our server, came by, and we ordered drinks and the kashk bademjan with cucumber and bread as an appetizer. The dish was fantastic. We even ordered one after dinner with their basmati rice, which is simply fantastic. For dinner, we ordered the koobideh. My wife had the beef koobideh with rice and veggies as well as walnut sauce. I had the chicken and beef koobideh with the same array of sides. Brenda was attentive and quite friendly, professional, and kind as well. The food was well prepared and presented. We also had Reza stop by and say hello as he had helped us many times and is a very kind and friendly man. After dinner, we had homemade pistachio ice cream and coffee. The restaurant manager also stopped by and provided us information on hosting events and catering that the restaurant offers, which is quite attractive. The background music and live performances are quite tasteful, and the ambiance is pleasant and uplifting. Highly recommended 1/19/2024 Another enjoyable dining experience at Caspian in Foothill Ranch. We had reservations at 6 pm and met Ali at the front entry, who took us to a romantic table for two. Ali graciously took our drink order, and I started with a shot of Arak, and my wife had a hot tea and a homemade doogh. Ali also took our appetizer order of Kashk Bademjan with bread and cucumbers. What a terrific way to start dinner. The husband and wife music performers were excellent with classic sounds from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Ali was very kind and attentive, which made our experience that much nicer. Ali took our entree order with my wife having the rainbow trout with sabzee, and I had the koobideh combo of chicken and beef. Of course, Ali brought me another shot of Arak, which made the music and experience even better. After dinner, we chatted and listened to the wonderful music while dancing in our seats, lol. After a while of nice conversation and chair dance moves, Ali stopped by, and we ordered the homemade pistachio ice cream, a coffee and expresso which were heavenly. After a little more music and conversation, we left after a wonderful night at a restaurant I highly recommend. It is also a great place for parties, family get togethers, and business events. Cheers!

Caspian is an authentic Mediterranean restaurant with some international and vegan options on the menu to suit all tastes. We, party of 3, had thier mango aregula salad, jalapeño cream poppers, fried calamari, and to top it off their exquisite lamb shank with rice, all of the aforementioned was above normal. Service was fast and professional. I learnt from thenservers that the place also has a 3 part program Friday to Sunday starting of with an American live band, followed by a belly dance then a Persian band, however as informed you'll need to reserve upfront as it gets packed. We did have our dog and they accommodated us in their outdoor area which is all shaded and spacious as well.

We recently held my father’s funeral reception at Caspian Restaurant, and I cannot thank them enough for their excellent service. Maddie and Doryaneh were incredibly friendly, supportive, and professional throughout the whole process. They took the time to understand exactly what I needed and made sure everything for our group of 40+ guests ran smoothly. Their communication was outstanding and they were always available to reassure me during a very difficult time. On the day, everything was delivered exactly as promised. The food quality and service were exceptional, and all of our guests were very impressed. Highly recommended — truly excellent service when it mattered most.

Our party of 6 and 2 babies came here for an early dinner and first off, it is very spacious, easy/plenty parking, and people here were very kind and welcoming. I ordered the lambsicles and they were cooked and tasted perfect! I also tried others - salmon, koobideh (beef and chicken), and chicken kabob. We ordered the samosas, which was amazing, and a side of raw onions and tzatziki! Everything was really really delicious with all fresh and good ingredients. Too bad there was no live music/dancing. Make sure to come on a Wednesday, when they do have music/dancing.

This was my first time visiting this place, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambiance and service were excellent! The food was good, but I’d rate it a solid 4 out of 5. We opted for the lunch buffet, and it offered a wide variety of options that were definitely worth the price. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Was looking for a good Mediterranean food, and this place didn't disappoint 😋. Tabbouleh taste great, Mast-o Musir was great as well! Chicken kebob plate with Koobideh was masterfully done 👌 Chocolate cake was moist perfect combination with vanilla ice cream 🍦 I had to remove 1 star due to the water bottle, and glass that had been replced twice due to sanitary issues, the lip was dirty and the water had floating stuff in it. Our server was kind enough to replace it with a complimentary bottled water and and ice cream for dessert 🍨 Over all great place for Mediterranean cuisine 🫡

We went to Caspian Mediterranean Kitchen for our monthly get-together. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with warm, friendly, and professional service, which made a great first impression. The restaurant’s interior design was pleasant, and the presentation of the dishes in elegant and well-arranged plates was definitely commendable. However, unfortunately, the quality and taste of the food did not meet our expectations. The dishes were not warm enough, and the flavors lacked freshness and depth. We ordered a variety of items to try different options, but unfortunately, none of our friends were satisfied with their meals. After dinner, we went out to the patio to enjoy some hookah, but the quality was also below expectations and didn’t add much to the experience. Overall, the friendly service and appealing presentation were the highlights of the evening, but the food quality and additional offerings definitely need improvement.

This is my first time to their new location. I loved going their Irvine location years ago. This location is much better. Located in a large shopping center with lots of free self parking. The restaurant looks amazing inside and out. They have a nice heated patio seating. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and seated (we made reservations since we were celebrating a birthday). I think the live entertainment starts around 7ish. When we arrived the talented singer and band was already playing. We brought our own birthday cake and they stored it in their fridge until we were done with dinner. The waiter took our order. He seemed a bit off. We were starving so we ordered all the appetizers and main dishes simultaneously. It took a while for the food. Surprisingly our main dishes came out first and for some reason they did not have our appetizers ready. When we informed him that we ordered appetizers they apologized and we had to wait a bit longer for them to bring them out. It took a few minutes longer but the appetizers were delicious. I really like The creamy artichoke spinach dip. The Kashk bademjan was good but I've had better elsewhere. We then had to wait a bit longer as they prepared our main dishes all over. The chicken kabob was okay. I have had juicier kabob with more flavor at other less fancy Middle Eastern restaurants. The beef koobideh kebab was very flavorful and tender. The spaghetti and meat sauce was okay. The angel hair pasta with chicken kabob was also okay. The atmosphere is very festive. The singer and the band are very entertaining. The belly dancer is talented. She began dancing on the stage then went around the restaurant to each table. Overall I like this restaurant and would recommend it.

We recently dined here and found the food to be mediocre based on our experience. The meat and kabobs lacked seasoning and didn’t deliver the depth of flavor we were hoping for. That said, the service was excellent—attentive, welcoming, and efficient. One point worth noting is the ambiguity around the restaurant’s branding and cuisine. While the name and menu may suggest Mediterranean fare, the offerings lean more toward Persian cuisine. It’s important to clarify this distinction, as Persian and Mediterranean cuisines are distinct in both flavor profile and culinary tradition. In short, a Persian kitchen isn’t a Mediterranean kitchen!

Not So Great Experience Reservation is a must, especially on weekends — the place gets extremely crowded. While the food was amazing and the outdoor seating had a nice vibe, the chairs were uncomfortable and the overall experience fell short. Service was slow; we had to wait a long time just to get the check. Staff seemed overwhelmed and placed the dishes without much attention or timing. If you’re going for the show, keep in mind it’s only indoors — not available outside. I’d still recommend Merza Qasni for the food, but be prepared for delays and a busy atmosphere. بسم الله اوله و اخره الرز لذيذ the rice ia good

Absolutely NOTHING like or better than the original Caspian No Fresh Baked Bread from the tandoori No Onion or char Roma Tomatoe on plates No Large Glasses of black hot tea No Half lemons or Butter No Ash Rishteh! Signature dish Why Afghan Palauo when the owner is Iranian and he offers Afghan Signature rice?! This is advertised as Authentic Persian Cuisine so why the western foods and 1 Afghan rice?? Im afghan and I would want my Signature dish done justicein the right environment. The dance floor was tiny and 2 large support beams interfered a lot. There's a large useless island in the middle the room but they don't Horrible fake Belly Dancers who learned a few moves off youtube. She DID NOT get the room going and there used to a Drum player for her to dance to. Nope he's gone! Random skinny girls and no belly ! Instead they down graded and up charged. The chairs are so big and bulky and the tables are moved so close together the waiters were frustrated because they couldnt get through as I was sitting chest deep at 130lbs weight! They don't offer family style for the tables but only take out however the large glasses of tea and family style platters were all going into a big table outside. Tea is now served in a sneaky way to make you feel as though you get 4 cups but really 1 cup. The tea is brought in a tiny tea pot with a Turkish espresso shot size glass cup. 6 tablespoon cup!! I loved the warmth the original Caspian provided and the nonstop music that kept us on our feet. Tonight I heard the happy bday song 5xs, so many times I thought it was myn too. Im forever over Caspian. I DONT recommend.

We visited there last night for the first time. Their items in the menu were all very expensive considering the quality of the food and service! Very bad experience! The food was not good! The service was terrible! And the price was too high for this kind of service and quality! We ordered dessert and the cheese cake and chocolate cake their brought were still frozen! The only thing that keeps in business I think is the live band which was also below average! I do NOT recommend this place! You will regret the money you spend right after the service it!

This was our second visit, and unfortunately it confirmed that this place is going downhill fast. The food and drinks are massively overpriced for the poor quality you get. Everything—from the food to the service—has gone from bad to worse. The food is not authentic Persian at all. I am Persian and eat this cuisine regularly, and what’s served here simply tastes awful. The flavors are wrong, poorly prepared, and disappointing across the board. The music is unbearably loud and obnoxious, making the experience even worse. Most of the waitstaff are not Persian, and it honestly feels like the same applies to the kitchen—because the food clearly lacks any understanding of Persian cooking. This restaurant seriously needs to reevaluate who they hire and what they serve. I hope the owner actually reads these reviews, because this place is damaging its own reputation.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant since its Irvine location and have supported it for many years, so this review is genuinely disappointing to write. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was a complete letdown. The food quality was extremely poor — several dishes tasted like they had been sitting out and were plated from trays rather than cooked fresh, which is not acceptable for this type of restaurant. The service was a 0/5. We were told there would be nighttime entertainment and performances but it was non existent on a Saturday night. When concerns were politely brought up, we were met with rudeness and treated as if we were the problem for saying something. There was no accountability or sincere attempt to resolve the issues, and the interaction felt dismissive rather than professional. What’s most upsetting is the clear decline in quality and hospitality compared to what this place used to be. If management has changed, it unfortunately shows. We won’t be returning and can no longer recommend it based on this experience.

We went for thanksgiving with reservations. It was a buffet . My wife had a Bariatric surgery and l requested the server showing him Proof saying she cannot eat less than half plate . He initially said “we will charge kid’s price” as there are no chefs for menu item today and at the end saying my manager didn’t approve. Also there are kids in patio eating and they allow smokers in patio . We ordered ice cream and the server forgot about us and my kid was waiting for a long time . Still I didn’t make a single complaint and paid the full cost for 2 adults and tipped 20% of the cost. Treat your customers well and show them kindness and empathy without any discrimination
