Red Robin has a nice atmosphere and serves good-quality food. However, the staff did not ask us about refills for fries or salad, which was a bit disappointing. While the overall experience was positive, the service could be more attentive. With a little more attention to detail from the staff, this place would be even better!

I live in South OC, I thought this would be a good location to go to since the only other option is up near South Coast Plaza. Well, I was wrong! This place has super slow service and no one even noticed we were seated until I got up to complain! Service was extremely slow, etc... I guess I'll be forced to go to South Coast Plaza after all!☹️

Just had dinner with my son at Red Robin in Lake Forest near my house. Been here many times before but tonight is my first disappointment, not at the service I received but at what I thought was an odd experience.. definitely not pleasant. My son ordered Reds Taverns Double Burger, and asked for some Jalapeños (pickle) on the side .Chopped jalapeños was brought out. He didn’t mind so we didn’t say anything. When the bill came out, it showed the line for his burger and line below +Fried Jalaps =$1.49. I told our waitress we didn’t get fried jalapenos with the burger but asks for jalapenos on the side. She went to check with someone and came back with a bill of 0.32 cents more saying it was actually more expensive for the fresh jalapenos. I paid the additional $0.32 bill, didn’t know what else to say. Training issue? Or is it a tough economy?

Red Robin, a restaurant known for its bottomless sides, still feels pricey compared to Inn-N-Out, which is located in the same parking lot. However, they do offer a great kids’ menu and special deals on desserts and treats for little ones. The service is also friendly.

The food, as usual, is okay. It's no better or worse here than any other Red Robin. I just happen to find the burgers to be uninspired. They're by no means "bad," they just aren't anything special. Bottomless sides are a nice touch, as are their drinks. But they're portioned just right so you aren't left wanting more anyway. It's an okay dinner out, but watch out for the "freebie" quiz game on the terminal at each table. If you answer a trivia question, you get $1.99 added to your bill. You have a couple seconds after answering to hit a small button with less-legible text offering an instant refund they hope you won't notice.

I had a very disappointing double tavern cheese burger last night. The bottom bun was too soggy to hold sandwich like. The skin slice of tomato was warm, soft and underrate, so it removed it. The lettuce was not fresh and the entire burger was soaked. The French fries were textured like reheated. Look at the menu picture. This is nothing like it. McDonald’s does a better job.

Kids were screaming in the store. My. Burger was way too small, it was slider sized. The fries were half crunchy and half rubbery. The food was not good here, the only advantage was the bottomless fries. The place wasn't very sanitary it felt outdated and vintage.

We waited an hour to get our food, and it was hot lamp gross. My husbands salad was warm and totally wilted into almost a soup. His chicken was rubbery and unseasoned. My turkey burger had a stale bun with a microwaved patty that had the texture of a bouncy ball. Our friends shared a burger and there’s tasted like dog food (and they never complain). We ordered bottomless fries for the table and never got a second order. We asked another server to bring some out, because after an hour we were starving. We never saw them and only saw our server at the beginning and end our time there. We’ve eaten there before and the service was good but the food has always been spotty. We won’t be going back to this location again.

Horrible service, rude, sat us in the bar area with a toddler, didn’t even give us 5 min to settle in and your server on 8/13/2025 at 630pm was the rudest employee ever. Trying to protect the other customer, I work in the restaurant business and a family owned restaurant, the way your employee acted was very unprofessional… it was disgusting…. And allowing the customer to talk to me the way they did… was very rude .. I did tell the customer off…. Her own husband didn’t protect her cause she knows she was in the wrong… your server was even in shock and told him off and said I’ll leave instead…. All I have to say is you should be very disappointed how your employee acted… I’m a very good customer but the fact that I didn’t even get 5 min to calm my child and just sat down was disgusting… I’d like to talk to the owner as well..
