Food was good lil pricey to add stuff to ur meal.
Great food, attentive service and $$ prices. We love this place! What is nice is that it isn't a chain of restaurants so you get that homey, feel-good experience when dining.
This food is made with love!! If you in Kaufman county or passing by on highway 80. Please stop and eat at this wonderful tasting Mexican spot family owned for 20 years!!
We ordered birria tacos and chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. The birria tacos were SO good! Loved the chicken enchiladas and borscht beans. Even the chips ans salsa were good. I'm not big on rice..but I had their cilantro rice..YUM! We are definitely coming back.
Love this place! It's our favorite lunch spot!
The tortilla soup is amazing, best I had in a long time and I am Hispanic. Brought me back to my home country. We love this place, the lady owner is really nice.
I had a really good experience here! Great food and great customer service! I love the food! Get the sour cream chicken enchiladas! They have a punch cards too! :) I'll definitely be back!
I love Madre's! Food is excellent, everything on the menu! One time, out of years... I had an issue with a new waitress (discrinmation and purely rude). The owner called me and followed up with the waitress and additional staff, immediatley. This makes America Awesome! Well done on customer service! I love the family atmosphere!
Service is excellent! Love shpping local. They have great food. Always happy to see you. Very accommodating. Friendly environment for the entire family.
Love Madre’s and the wonderful family that owns it. The food is amazing and the staff is personable, entertaining and attentive.
Nice, clean establishment. Run by very nice people, who remember our favorites and bring out our usual hot and delicious food very promptly. Service is excellent... food is outstanding.
I was thrown off by the name, it's not a taqueria it's a traditional restaurant with Mexican Dishes. I tried the Quesabirria. I can say I will be back for it again. Good family environment. Chips and Salsa were worth the visit alone.
I didn't catch the name of the young man who waited in us today. But he was definitely a hard worker and very polite. We appreciate his work ethic. Job well done. We stopped by for a quick bite and had a fajita quesadilla, and it was delicious!!!
Never judge a book but it’s cover! Lesson learn on my part! Totally expected it to be horrible. BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! The meat was tender, had a great taste. Fresh tortillas, salsa was good, staff friendly. It’s a small setting so there is like what seems like only one waitress but she is on it! Very fast very friendly. Tip her well!!!
Landon was a very attentive and welcoming server! He deserves all of the praise. My husband and I had chicken flautas and enchilada plates, which were amazing! We will be back soon; our experience was 10/10! Thank you, Landon and Madres staff!!
Great folks! Wish they would adopt me so I didn’t have to drive there everyday haha! Love Yall !
Best service you'll get in town! Servers are friendly and make you feel important. Owners are very down to earth and personable. They have the best bean and cheese nachos in town and I'm a big fan of their hamburger plate also. We consider ourselves "regulars" here for a good reason. The punch card is great! After you buy 10 entrees you get the next one free!
I had food delivered tonight and Pam was a angel! This was my first time ordering and it will not be my last. The delivery driver was very polite and he was a perfect gentleman! I wish I could give more stars and the food was definitely a hit! My new favorite place:)
Great little Mom and Pop Mexican restaurant. It's just consistently good, so you can always depend on a good experience and meal. Fresh and yummy food, great chips and salsa, and a lots of options. Very affordable too. Love the El Dorado fajitas!
Madres is in a shoping center. To the right of Madres Cocina is TechShark , to the left is Barber Shop. Madres Cocina is in big red letters.
Omg !! The best food ever!! And this pozole !! Perfect !!
Wife picked me up food from this establishment. Beef chimichanga was fried to perfection and the beef was well seasoned. The borracho beans were on point as was the rice and customer service. Highly recommended if You are in the area. The chips were crispy and the salsa had great flavor. 👍
Great food and service. The locals know about it! Definitely worth a visit.

We had a chance to stop in before opening our restaurant today. Charles was the manager on duty. He has awesome customer service and the food was great! Will definitely be returning. The food was just what my taste buds were asking for💜💛💜
Definitely coming back, the food is excellent with great flavor. I ordered their fajita (chicken) and it did not disappoint. My daughter ordered the Chili Relleno and I had to have some, when I say delicious… I can go on and on. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. Almost forgot, the potions are more than enough, so get ready to take some home. You will not be disappointed!!!!
Not just a place to eat, but a family. I’ve spent every birthday, promotion, celebration here, our rehearsal dinner was here. Best Tex-Mex around, and local. We always leave full and happy!
These guys are just incredible. Their food is on point. It's not quite traditional Mexican, but more traditionally based with a modern elevation to it. The service is ten out of ten every time. Many restaurant in Fort Collins miss the mark, but they understood and have mastered the fine line between service and hospitality. Cannot recommend this spot enough!
Went there recently as I had to stop going to my usual go-to place because they don't treat their employees well. I've found my new go-to place! Madres is a hidden gem! The food was wonderful, The staff was top notch! Will definitely go back for more! Queso was delicious. Enchilada and tamales were fabulous. I could just eat the chips and salsa! Definitely going back!
What a great little Mom-Pop Mexican restaurant! We've been dining here for over 30 years with the food always the same great consistency.
Amazing food!! We absolutely love their queso with fajita beef. Truly amazing. I highly recommend coming here! By far one of our favorite places to eat.
Called in my order at 5:25, was told give them 10 minutes. Got there maybe 7 minutes later didn't even sit all the way down on the bench and my food was ready. Ordered 2 chicken enchilada dinners, drove home to Kaufman which took at least 25 minutes. Food was hot and delicious. Thank y'all so much. Excellent service and food
Very yummy! I went for lunch with work friends and the waitress was hustling, handling our large crowd and the rest of the restaurant with no issues. She was busy but still very attentive, refilling glasses without being asked. She answered my questions about the menu, and got everyone's order correct. I definitely recommend!

Had Ashley as a server, she was nice. The place got pretty busy around 2. All the food was good, had the Biria tacos, no real complaints. The salsa definitely is a little heavy on the cumin but we enjoyed it overall. Definitely will be back.
I was a little nervous when we walked in at lunchtime and we were the only table. But the service was great and the food was some of the best Tex-Mex I’ve had in a long time. It could stand a little extra cleaning but other than that everything was extremely good.
Madres Cocina is a cozy strip mall mom-and-pop establishment. We went for lunch and were promptly seated. The general dining are was neat and clean. You do have to pass through utility areas to get to restrooms. The service was prompt and attentive. We never lacked for anything. The chips and salsa were pretty good, as was their white queso. The food in general was pretty decent and the lunch menu a good value. I would have liked a little more kick to the seasonings, but I love spicey.

The food was too spicy, dven though said was Tex-Mex.
The food here was ok, but I think there are a couple of other places locally that might have them beat. The service was the best part of the visit. We had a very large group and seating was a bit of an issue.
Not bad for a mom-and-pop place but the place could improve on a few items to become bigger and have a bigger location. My wife didn't like the Carne Asada, had more fat than usual for that type of meal and the texture was off. The queso had a few items in it to throw off the taste, like the onion. The chicken I had wasn't bad but could have been a little better. My beans were almost nonexistent for my chicken fajita meal. Soda was almost a little flat and the service was feeling slightly rushed after getting food and ordering food.

I'm all for supporting local businesses and will look for one to visit. That said I wish I'd have kept looking when I decided to try this place. The service was HORRIBLE/SLOOOOW. We weren't even given menus but when a server finally decided to come by she wanted to take our orders. Perhaps everyone else is a regular customer and doesn't require a menu, but it was our first, and only, time dining here. They weren't busy but we weren't the only table. Once we received the menu I found it different. It's the first time I've encountered menus with a ring and slipcovers (I posted pics). The food was so-so. The fried avocado was actually tasty & I ordered mine stuffed with beef. It stated it was covered in blanco queso but it was actually on the side. The rest of the food was forgettable. Even the kiddos agreed. We ordered extra tortillas. They are corn & not flour, in case you want to order; not specified in the description. For the price it wasn't a big step up from Taco Bell. And the service was on par with the aforementioned restaurant. I ended up spending $80 for 2 adults & 3 kids meals w/out alcoholic beverages (actually idk if they serve alcohol, as I'm a teetotaler & didn't notice).

I'm not sure why the ratings are so high here. We went tonight and had spinach enchiladas, a chimichanga, chicken nuggets kids meal and a margarita. I had one bite and the husband managed to choke down half of his entree. Even the margarita was so weak it was just the mix and a splash of tequila. With the bill at almost $50 it should have been much, much better.
Everybody had been raving about this place and how good it was. This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. I wasn't what everybody hyped it up to be. Food def over priced (IMO) and really was just like any other restaurant. I wouldn't choose it again, however like I said that just my opinion. The place was packed and from what I've been told is always packed so I've got to be the only one who didn't like it. It's not even that I didn't like it I think they just hyped it up and I was expecting somethin else. I don't leave nasty reviews and try to get people not to go , it just wasn't for me.

Very poor customer service. $0.99 margarita night turns into $12 margaritas because I ordered strawberry instead of lime. Really? $11 for a shot of strawberry. That was the cashiers excuse. BTW, my wife’s lime margarita was $1.98…. Came in a week ago and a strawberry margarita was $5. 🤔 we won’t be back.
Food was very subpar, refried beans lacked flavor. Food was not hot, but room temperature. Flour tortillas are yellowish it maybe the reason why they are not very tasty. Not worth the $$$
Eat anywhere else for tex-mex! I had the chicken fajita, and all I tasted was burnt food. I thought it was the onion since most pieces were black, but it ended up being THE CHICKEN. Absolulutely NO seasoning anywhere, and the black beans tasted like they were out of a can. The rice also came out colder than the rest of the food! When they asked us if everything was alright, we said yes just so we could get out sooner (as a colored family, we also felt very out of place in that environment). There was no fixing that food, and I did not want to risk my taste buds and try anything else. I don't understand how this place has a 4.4 star rating. The service was good, but that's it. Terrible food with no flavor. You're better off buying pre-cooked frozen meals at your local grocery.
I was excited to try another Mexican restaurant in the area, i have to say it was not the greatest at all, there is too much cumin in the salsa and in the red sauce that goes over the beef enchilada and tamale. We are from Arizona and we have very authentic Mexican food there, trying to fond a place that is close to home is absolutely impossible. i would never come back again. the staff is friendly i will give it that. The rest sucked and 5.99 for a tiny small thing of guacamole is ridiculous too. Its only worth 1.99-2.99. Also their alcohol selection is very little too. Very disappointed.
Came in got sat down waitress never acknowledged me sat for 20 minutes until I had to speak up finally got my drink order then they gave me what they wanted definitely not what I ordered must of thought i didn't speak English
Food is usually good, but today I was told my pick up order would be ready in 20 minutes or so and I have been waiting for over 45 minutes total, including the 20 minutes I had to wait once I got up to the restaurant...... Literally 2 bites of refried beans, my enchiladas were unrolled, I think the picture speaks for itself. Very unsatisfied.

I was visiting in town from Cali and friends had invited me to Madres. They had ordered Pozole and it was a mistake of a lifetime. Three minuscule (little bite-size) pieces with all the hominy balls in the world. Devastating to feed a Phat Gurl on a Skinny Diet; I didn't have to Floss bc I was given such four pieces of "Pork". Had no idea how Spicy this meal was it whatever you call it! And I had asked for lemon wedges to neutralize this disgusting piece of a meal, but even their wedges were dry. It was like Breastfeeding an infant with mama's "Dried" Milk! Not even a Squirt of Citrus! There must've been a Sale at the Farmer's market w/ Limeless juice? I guess it's Welcome to Texas for me on Another Level ... Madres 2.0
I had a horrible experience with a server in this place. It was the first time I was there and the waitress was beyond rude to us just because we were asking normal questions and then she acted like we were complaining and she got mad out of nowhere. We paid and left with our food untouched. Also I never had menudo and chiles rellenos without tortillas, I'd say take your money somewhere where they are nice to their customers and where they serve complete meals. This is a Tex mex restaurant so don't go there thinking is good mexican food. NEVER AGAIN.
