My husband and I have eaten twice since moving to town and we absolutely love it. I personally have never been to much for seafood but the rolls we got didn’t taste fishy at all. They were fantastic. I got the reggae roll and my husband got the rainbow roll. Would highly recommend.
We are on vacation for my birthday and decided to give off the hook sushi a try. They are freaking incredible! My spouse and I are vegan and a lot of places don’t off vegan sushi. Off the hook does though and it was awesome! Their rice is spectacular! Their vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly! I think they are family owned and operated. The lady who helped us was so kind and understanding about our dietary restrictions and was happy to help us make great choices! I am so happy we took a chance on this place! I highly recommend it! (Also their ceiling is super cool! That’s not really relevant to the food… it was just neat! 😊)
Stopped by here an hour before closing and the place was hoppin'! One young man was working front of house, bringing out pick-up orders, AND waiting all of the tables, and he was absolutely killing it. He was extremely kind, attentive, and charismatic. The food was fantastic as well - our table had three different sushi rolls, yakisoba, and teriyaki, and all were Delicious. The portions were extremely generous for the prices. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! The only thing I could ask for is that the maki rolls be cut a little smaller, as the slices were quite large and required multiple bites.
The service was great and food excellent. The portion sizes are large with high quality flavor.
Absolutely amazing! I have been to several sushi restaurants around california and this one is a new favorite. Not only the sushi was made with care but we ordered several appetizers and Bento boxes and the flavor was perfect, meat tender and service pleasant. I highly recommend.
My spouse and I go there a couple times a week and he gets their sushi and loves it wonderful portions and I like all their food it's GREAT
Great vegetarian selection. Rolls are big and heavy, almost hard to pick up with the chop sticks. Delicious and filling. I had the sweet potato roll, the vegetable tempura roll, and the magic mushrooms. All delicious.
Set a reservation for a large group (with little notice on our part, our bad) but were accommodated well and happily. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. Average wait time.
This review has been burning a 🕳️ in my pocket for a minute, having to work a real job has cramped my posting style. I was blessed to get a meal with my daughter when she returned for a quick visit from college. She/We wanted sushi so we chose Off the Hook, one I hadn’t been to in many moons. Our pre basketball game treat began with edamame and miso soup, both perfect. I chose mackerel or Saba and the Durango roll for the soft shell crab. The Saba tasted fresh and was bursting with flavor and the yummy Durango roll was gigantic. My kid opted for the Serra Special which was a meal in itself and absolutely divine. I‘m pretty fond of the setting it definitely had an Asian nautical vibe that was relaxing and warm. The owner is fabulous, we were fortunate she was our server as she was super attentive. They do have beer but unfortunately no 99’s which is the only knock 😉. You do have choices in sushi in our little town, don’t ignore this spot 🔥 Our PSA: Please like our page, follow us and share our posts if you dare 😳 The Pudding Creek Trestle #eatlocal #sushi Only in Fort Bragg #yummy
Unexpected surprise! This spicy tuna was soo delicious & fresh. I’ve never had a spicy tuna with chucks of tuna. Highly recommend. Staff is warm and friendly. Quite restaurant.
Loved this joint for a long time. I just came back into town and missed sushi so so much. They look like they’ve been able to upgrade some things lately! Building looks amazing. I ordered and got my food in 10 minutes total. The waitress remembered me (from a while ago now) and was very quick. Nigiri was AWESOME. Huge pieces of fish, I got 4 nigiri (8 pieces) and that was nearly a whole meal. Cheaper than I expected too, even with a card charge and the tip.
We've been traveling and sushi sounded good. This place gave us exactly what we were looking for! The server was so nice. Really good rollls and tempura (the tempura green beans!!!) I loved the tempura so much I forgot to take a picture. We did come on a week day so it wasn't busy at all. We will be back!
Wife and I decided to give them a try during the first night of our trip to Fort Bragg. We wanted something quick and easy. Reasonably priced, Rolls were vary good but, their stuffed jalapeños were the big suprise of the meal! Absolutely off the hook!
An outstanding little place nestled right in the middle of Fort Bragg, if you come here for lunch or dinner, you will not leave disappointed! With a huge variety of fresh made Sushi, Udon, soups, Teriyaki, and a good selection of cold and hot Sake, it's not a meal soon to be forgotten. Staff was super attentive to detail, the place is clean with a great oriental theme and vibes, and the food is fantastic. Strongly suggested are the sushi and the Bento lunch box meals! Full marks across the board, and a short walk to or from the beach.
Stopped here for takeout because I simply love sushi, but the sushi BLEW ME AWAY. Even my husband, who does not “like” sushi, loved it and has already suggested we go back! The spicy tuna roll and lion king rolls were amazing, along with the asparagus veggie roll and California roll. Thank you for making a sushi convert out of my husband!
Love, love, love this restaurant. Our go to place for sushi in Fort Bragg. The best tempura I've ever had....light, not greasy....yummm...
Came for early dinner and it was amazing and so fresh. And reasonably priced for fresh sushi.

Always delicious. A little pricey, but the flavor is always on point.

Get the Joshua Roll!! Sooooo good! There is only one in the picture because I ate the rest before I could think straight about taking a picture 😝
Delicious sushi! Very friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!
Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and I’m a Bay Area foodie! Massive portions and super-delicious adornments, with friendly folks in a great atmosphere. Spent a lot but got a LOT of sushi, this would have been much more most places. Very reasonable.
What a gem ! We're on our anniversary trip, came here on a Tuesday night and they were busy ,and that's a very good sign . Atmosphere is nice and they have a attractive fish tank that it'shard for me to take my eyes off it. We ordered tuna maki roll, miso soup, california rolls and cream cheese wontons to go, and they all taste so good!!! The sushi rice was seasoned well, and the dipping sause of the cream cheese waontons is bomb! just can't stop eating it. This place definitely highlighted our anniversary trip ! Highly recommend!
This place was hopping on a Monday night. They are friendly, quick about getting orders as fast as possible and the food was delicious!

Food was good. Waitress was nice but Waited for our check to leave way to long. We asked for Togo containers and got the right away but the table behind us was wait longer than us for them and the their check. Told my son I law he would get the tip when we gave them one of.our Togo containers.
Really good food and were seated quickly. The sake was delicious! I had the udon noodle dish with chicken and my husband had the stir fry with pork. Decent food, was a little pricy though. Our water glasses were never filled up and we rarely saw the waitress, so were thirsty for most of the meal.
The sushi was fresh and tasted good. The rolls were big and the fish to rice ratio was perfect.... but the service was soooo slow.. I would've rather ordered in and spent my time waiting on my bed with my shows.

Not happy with the food it wasn't bad just for me personally I'm use to paying $12 to $15 for rolls that are much larger and more to offer. Theirs seemed so small only got 4 rolls. Waitress and vibe was great just wasn't happy with my food in terms of price and portion from passed experiences. Also sticky menus always kinda a turn off when they are not clean. That being said in no way was the food bad I went there as a visitor and not a local. In short the sushi Is good but compared to my passed experiences definitely not up to par in terms of price and portions and taste as well as presentation but if you come here you really shouldn't be disappointed though just don't go in thinking it's the best thing ever like I did.
They charge 4% of your total bill for credit cards and no refills on the soda. Nearly every single sushi offering had avocado. Felt receptive and not creative.
Went in and ordered to go. After waiting for an hour (the gal who ordered just 30 seconds before me had gotten her food like 5 minutes before) I asked about ETA on my order. Apparently they hadn't even started it yet because I had to wait another 15 minutes. No apology or anything. Just a here ya go. Luckily the food was good. Still wouldn't eat here again. Went in at 6 on Saturday and the lady at the counter was so surprised the 4 people were coming in at that time.
Pretty disappointed. Watched a couple walk in WAY after we ordered. They ordered and got their roll before we did. Yes, they got the same roll we did. Fountain drink? No refills for you! Stuff every other place we've been just gives you, they charge for. Our udon soup had less than half the noodles of the kids portion at the last place we went.
Cozy restaurant, good service, average food. The jalapeno poppers and salmon nigiri are decent. Spicy ramen only comes with a panfried egg, some veggie. Part of the tuna is not fresh.

Food great, service horrible. We went there on a Tuesday 6pm, we’re told no reservation needed. They started to get busy after we arrived. Got drinks, no problem. Then the overworked waiter gave our appetizer to an adjacent table. Dinner arrived, no appetizer. Dinner done and after 20 minutes no waiter in sight. Turns out he went home. Now it is the waitress (owner?) only for 15 busy tables. Finally we go to the cash register to pay, as others were doing. Others got in line behind me and were able to pay first. Waitress busy waiting new and existing customers. More customers waiting to pay and everyone angry. Finally I stop the waitress mid stride to say we either pay or leave. Paid for all including the non existent appetizer. Just glad to be gone. The very good food was not worth the horrible service.
Food nothing special. Weird smell when you first walk in. And charged different from what are bill read. Will not be going back again.
I went to dinner with my family last night and had one of the worst experiences of my life. We got seated and settled in to our table, as soon as our server "Roy" came over to take our order he started being so disrespectful and rude to me making negative comments while we tried to order our food. He said that its more pleasant when I'm not eating here he told me that my lip piercings should be ripped out of my face and that I don't look my age I look 10 years older than I actually am and implied that I was ugly. I asked what came on the green salad and he answered with a smart remark "Green salad toppings" after asking if he could be more specific he said "I'm surprised you know what a salad is." This whole time I am trying to de-escalate the situation and try to give him positive comments he just kept egging me on. I am so offended and actually annoyed and angry about this experience, I refused to leave a tip because of it and if that makes me a bad person then oh well no one should be treated that way in a place of business.
Nasty, sick for several days, actually went to the state office for environmental health? And spoke to the health inspector, who promised to address and inspect the restaurant. Never happened or if it did, never posted. Do not eat here, if you are old or sick, you will have a dire outcome
My husband and I are there a couple nights ago and both got violently ill. I usually don't like writing bad reviews but this is for the safety of others. Don't eat here!!
My partner and I recently visited. It took 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order, even for drinks. We asked a simple question regarding an allergy and the server responded in a very rude/mocking way. We then waited for close to 40 minutes for our food, even though we ordered relatively simple meals. When the server brought our food, she made another comment that again seemed to mock the allergy question. We finished our meals and were waiting for the check when the server asked us if we needed water, then to-go boxes, then bags—it seemed to us that she was stalling and trying to keep us there even longer. Every allergy concern should be taken seriously whether the dish contains the allergen or if there is any possibility of crosscontamination, and nobody should feel mocked for asking if a dish could contain an allergen. It was unacceptable. Also, don't go if you're on a time crunch!
I can't even comment on the food because we never received it. After about 40+ minutes of waiting all we got was water, our table was generally neglected and we noticed other tables who came after us were favored—we suspected that it was because of the change in seats but even if, it's unfair to treat customers this way. Reading other reviews, I can't even begin to imagine how much worse our experience could've been. Definitely not coming back again.
Went here on a Friday, they had one girl serving every table on a busy day (needs a raise), we waited 30 minutes for some pot stickers and two rolls and never received anything so we decided to leave. The place across the street served us much quicker.
Came here excited to try the food but waited around 40min. and never received the food we ordered. Multiple people had to remind staff we all had been patiently waiting.
We went here for my partners birthday. Our server was very friendly but the location had too many hands in the pot. I saw that because we ordered a sushi roll. Noticed same one got delivered to a table across from us, they were confused since they didn’t order it. Server got asked about it and the delivery man brought it directly to us instead of automatically having it remade. We watched the other couple messing with the roll trying to figure out what it was. It should have never been sent to another table
Dinner here a few years back before and it was very good. Then a 5 Star Pl. then came back through here with my fiancé, and it was very disappointing eating inside. The food was bland. The jalapeño poppers were not what they used to be.
