We stooped by to have a cup of coffee. I got their signature coffee; Rose coffee. It was very good. The eclair was also light and not too sweet. The service is good. The crew is friendly and location is very clean with no weird smell. I would love to bring my family for a Turkish breakfast one day. I wish we had something similar near my home.
Canan’s Kitchen is a beautiful little diner decorated with teacups and flowers — it’s aesthetically stunning and feels so cozy the moment you walk in. I love supporting a woman-owned business, and the food is absolutely delicious. I had the mixed breakfast, which came with an assortment of cheeses, fresh bread, olives, nuts, honey, fresh greens, and an omelette, all served with authentic Turkish black tea. Everything was freshly made and tasted amazing. My kids ordered the matcha pancakes and the Nutella strawberry banana crepe, and they loved every bite. If you’re in the mood for something different from a traditional American breakfast, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Such a cute and casual place for a quiet gathering with a friend, we enjoyed avocado toast and their cheese bread/pastry, we had Turkish coffee and tea. Everything was delightful! We’ll be back. It’s nice to experience something new and different. We met the owner Canan “Janan” she took the time to explain how to enjoy their coffee presentation, service was wonderful. I recommend . Open 8-2, closed on Mondays.
I came here for breakfast and honestly, everything was absolutely delicious. I realized afterward that I forgot to take photos of the breakfast table because we were too busy enjoying the food 😄 Luckily, I did take some photos of the coffee — and it was just as good as it looks. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the quality of the food really stands out, and you can feel the care put into every detail. If you’re looking for a great place for breakfast and excellent coffee, I definitely recommend stopping by. I’ll for sure be back again!
This was my first time here. This is a cozy and beautifully decorated kitchen, with cute decorations and a seat to take selfies in. The food is awesome and their Turkish coffee is so rich in flavor and feels so smooth in the mouth. The owner was so kind and remembered my mom from her first visit!! Overall great place for breakfast or lunch.
That was one of the best breakfast places I've had in a REALLY long time. Coffee, delightful! ✅️ Turkish Tea, superb! ✅️ Sesame bagel on the breakfast platter with all these cheeses, magnificent! ✅️ The turkish delights, well balanced ✅️ I was about to lick the plate clean. What a great way to spend a bday brunch 🧡
Absolutely loved the breakfast here! The presentation was beautiful and everything tasted so fresh — from the olives and cheeses to the warm börek and simit. The honey with clotted cream and the homemade jam were a perfect touch. A true Mediterranean/Turkish-style breakfast that feels homemade and authentic. Highly recommended for a cozy, relaxing morning meal!
We really liked here. 100% delicious Turkish breakfast. Simit, tost, borek, çay, breakfast plate… Every piece of I ate was perfect. Btw they have sweet store. Tea cups, colorful plates and wall. You can find easily parking lot. I will visit second time I hope. Highly recommended.
Found this place on Google and I was so surprised, it was so delicious and exactly what I needed. I just got the Turkish breakfast plate and it was a perfect blend of everything so simple and delicious. The women who work there were so kind and hard-working and the aesthetic of the place is so cute. My daughter had the avocado toast and loved it. We will definitely come back.
Hidden gem in a plaza, Canaan’s kitchen was definitely a great experience overall. It started with a phone call, I wanted to make sure there was no wait since we had a busy Sunday ahead of us. The gentleman on the phone said he could hold the table for us since we were going to be there in 6 mins. As we got there, we were greeted and shown the menu. You order in the front and then go to your table and lay at the end at the front as well. I felt a little rushed as I wasn’t expecting to order right away. Everything we ordered was delicious, mushroom omelette was great, fresh with a side salad, low sodium, great taste. My husband had the avocado toast and the cherry tomatoes and some kind of olive oil dressing gave it a refreshing tweak to your traditional American avocado toast. Iced caramel latte was strong (which is good) and the peach tea that U got, was so refreshing! Got a Nutella crepe with strawberries and I wish I would’ve added bananas because I felt like it would’ve been a good combo! We were given 4 Turkish delights 2 pistachios and 2 pomegranate, and there were so good, I’m not sure what the ingredients are but it tasted like a macaron filling, they were delicious! We had an amazing overall experience! I wish the place was a little more ventilated but other than that, service was great and lots of parking in the plaza which is a plus! I hope we can go back!
I recently visited Canan’s Kitchen Cafe & Bakery and had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the staff were kind and welcoming. I tried their homemade pastries and Turkish tea — everything tasted fresh and made with care. It’s a nice spot for a quiet breakfast or coffee break. The prices were reasonable too. It’s not a fancy place, but it has heart. I’ll definitely come back again.
We visited a cozy little Turkish restaurant in Fountain Valley and absolutely fell in love with it. It’s a true family-run gem—grandma in the kitchen with her grandsons helping out, serving up delicious, homemade food with so much love. From the traditional Turkish breads to the omelette, cheese, olives—everything was fresh, authentic, and top-notch. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, just like being at someone’s home. We loved every bit of it. I’ll definitely be going back, and I’ll be recommending this place to my friends, family. It’s a spot everyone should experience!
We discovered this hidden gem while visiting California with my kids. From the moment we arrived, Ali and his mother, Mrs. Canan, greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality. The cafe was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I truly enjoyed the experience and will definitely return!
If you are around LA and Orange County this is the breakfast place to go to. We loved every food entree we got. Simit is divine, they have real balkaymak and the breakfast items work quite well for both Turkish breakfast and for European style breakfast, too. The su borek is freshly handmade. I found a place to come back to time and time again. This is better home-made food than what we had in some of the best places in Turkey.
first time. lovely experience. everything was very good, but not extraordinary. the avocado toast was pretty bland, couldn’t taste the avocado or cream cheese. the turkish coffee was a surprise - i don’t usually drink black coffee unless it’s very good coffee, this one i could drink it black. loved the candy that came with the coffee. service was basic, more like neighborhood family restaurant style, and they both were on the quiet side. the decor was nice and chic, not so fancy. the place was clean and quiet. overall, it’s good but on the pricier end.
The inside is so beautiful and cozy. Perfect for a girls day out! If you love to take photos it’s the perfect spot. The food and drinks took a bit to come out, but it was worth the wait. Portions were more than enough. The workers are very sweet as well! There isn’t a whole lot of space, but they do have a table for bigger parties! <3
