If you’re looking for an adventure and great food, Fins is the way to go. The location is amazing, just steps from the beach and about a mile away from Pismo. The food and service are the best, I love the chowder and the fish, shrimp and chips. Super clean space with plenty of seating. So fun to grab a bite to eat, then go for a walk on the beach.

The food, service and views of the ocean were 10 out of 10! 🎶 They even have live entertainment on weekend evenings. 💡 I'd suggest coming in the evening for amazing views of the sunset over the ocean. 🐶 You can sit outside in the patio area if you bring a well behaved pet on a leash. Patio has tables with built in fire pits! 😍 🔥 After eating go for a walk on the beach. They have a huge parking lot with plenty of handicap spaces too.

We enjoyed Fin’s restaurant. The food was good with great selections. Waitress was very polite and friendly. The decor is aged somewhat. Restaurant is situated on a huge parking lot next to a beach entrance. Will definitely eat here again.

My hubby and I had dinner here for our anniversary. The location patio lights scenery is perfect. We had the ribeye - it was perfect!! Med Well - 1st time we've not had to send back a bloody steak! Great flavor! We liked the heaters on each table. The staff were all SOO nice friendly and helpful.

What a great find! We were here mid October so it wasn’t busy. Getting a window side table with a beach view was no problem. We loved the fire pit table- just a little chill in the air. My husband tried the catfish fish and chips and I ordered the tri tip sandwich. Each came with fries and choice of Cole slaw or chowder. I’m sure there are cole slaw fans, and admittedly, I eat it too. But the chowder- oh my. Don’t miss out on this. It was fantastic, chunky , with a sprinkle of Tajin and a pat of butter. Yes, butter. Not sure I needed more after that. The portions were huge and had we seen something brought to a table before we ordered we probably would have split a meal. The catfish was very good, large pieces of fish and a huge pile of fries. The tri tip was served with au jus and a pile of fries. The sandwich was a good size and the bread was fresh. Without the au jus it would have been dry- thus the four stars. It was a good value and in an amazing spot! Can’t beat the location. Our server was really friendly and very good. We would definitely go back! Bonus- if you get there early, you can drive your car on the beach for sunset!

The best part of Fin's is the location on one of the most beautiful and fun beaches (IMO) in California. Casual place with a variety of seating (in and out), They also offer cute merchandise. Food is solid, typical beach fare with some fun cocktails as well.

Kind workers I always get the vegan burger with fries . Never disappoints Always is a great treat to go here The seating has many varieties, you eat delish food while looking over Pismo beach! They often have bands playing as well. Great prices. I will continue to recommend this restaurant.

The poke nachos and the Mahi Mahi were so good and do not miss out on the clam chowder. It was amazing. Sadly, the fried calamari had no flavor. Service was mostly good. However, we had to flag down our server more than once for refills. The attention after we got our food wasn't the best. Overall, a 7 out of 10. Will definitely try it again.

It was cold and windy outside but got seated by the heater which saved the day. Drink order got mixed up which is really no biggie. The food was delicious and plentiful for its price. May consider a return trip to this restaurant again.

The food is surprisingly good. The local clam chowder and the blackened sea bass were delicious. The patio was nice to eat in. It's a family business so it was nice to have the teens serve us. The band was great but maybe a bit loud - we were sitting in the back and we had to yell to talk to each other. Overall, I would strongly recommend this place.

The fish was dry and overpriced. Disappointed as a local we have many other restaurants to choose from and was hoping that Fin's would be comparable to its previous owners. Staff and atmosphere were great!

After doing much research I found this nice sea food place. After reading all the reviews I thought it would be great to try. There was so much positive feedback, I thought surly the food and service would be great! It wasn’t.. Upon walking in you aren’t greeted. There’s a sign that says check in and seat yourself. Luckily there was a couple sitting in the front room that directed us to the patio. The server was nice but when it came to taking our orders the waitress didn’t come out until after the people next to us that got there after us had there order taken. After about 45min we finally got our food and it was little to be desired. The clam chowder tasted like it was from a can and the shrimp tasted like it was previously frozen from a box. The only decent item we had was the oysters on the half. Even those were overly priced, however they were clean and refreshing. The highlight of our evening was the lighting of the fire pit. I would say if you want an expensive lunch go there but expect to wait.

I do not recommend this place. Arrived just after 2 in the afternoon and counted 3 servers, 3 food runners, 2 bussers. Waited 20 minutes without even being acknowledged, had to go ask host for our server to come to us- he barely reacted. The place is half full. Went with my sister and wife who have decades of serving experience- this place needs to do WAY better. Clam chowder gets 1 star as well. Not sure where they get the clams from, if they are pre cooked or clean on site but these are the SANDIEST clams I’ve ever had. Learn how to do a saltwater purge! The server did bring some fries to help with our crying kids which was nice, but at that point it had been an hour since we arrived. From seating to food arrival (calamari platter and halibut tacos) was an hour and 8 minutes. Unacceptable. Halibut tacos were delicious. Calamari was a lot of breading. But, get your staff up to speed! EDIT: Just got the check and they charged us for the fries they brought! Definitely did not want to add $7 fries to our bill because they are ultra slow to bring out simple food orders 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
