Pollo Campero on South Boulevard was delicious. We got the two-piece dinner with plantains and then we got another two-piece dinner with a chicken breast with coleslaw but for some reason my picture didn't take. The food is delicious. The flan is delicious as well we'll definitely be back

Everything was great at Pollo Campero! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the service was on point as always. The only downside—purely a personal one—is that I’m sad they discontinued the macaroni and cheese. It was always piping hot and absolutely delicious, and I definitely miss it. That said, it’s still a fantastic spot and I’ll definitely be back!
Best fried chicken ever! Service 10/10. Food hot and fresh 10/10. Bough 20 pieces for my family for less then $1.50 a piece! Worth it i highly recommend if you enjoy eating fried chicken. It definitely has a delicious taste that competes with KFC. In my opinion Pollo campero is wayy better!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pollo Campero – $29 (3pc + 2pc meals with fries, coleslaw, and a drink) Pollo Campero has always carried a reputation for serving quality food that reminds you of home — flavorful, comforting, and cooked with care. This visit stayed true to that legacy in taste, but not so much in price. The quality is still there, but the cost has climbed higher than it used to be, making that familiar comfort come with a bit of a wince at checkout. The chicken itself? Still excellent. Crispy outside, tender inside, seasoned in that signature Campero way that feels nostalgic and distinct — not your average fast-food fried chicken. The fries were hot and lightly salted, simple but satisfying. And that coleslaw deserves its own mention — creamy with a hint of tang, it cuts perfectly through the richness of the chicken and brings the whole plate together. It’s the kind of meal that still warms you from the inside out, the kind that makes you pause for a moment before tossing the box away. Pollo Campero hasn’t lost its touch in the kitchen — just its old balance between quality and price. Still, for those who know the taste, it’s hard to stay away too long.
Polo Campero which is originally from Guatemala and not Mexico as others have labeled it as, is hands down the best fried chicken there is, deep flavor through and through, crispy chicken while the batter isn't too thick, as compared to other U.S fried chicken places Polo Campero doesn't feel like you are eating over processed by-products of food, oh and not to forget they also have grilled chicken which is also really good, everytime I have eaten at a Campero the chicken has always been exceptional fresh and tasty, this location is no different, love the sides they have as well, always grateful when there are Campero locations in a town I'm visiting I always make it a point to stop in, also try the empanadas they are pretty good!
Wow... The chicken is delicious! Drive thru was a little slow but the chechin and empandas or great. Season to perfection. Uhm... "Finger licking good." Sorry to the other chicken chain restaurant but it's that good.
Charlotte is a fried chicken city. Aside from being the headquarters for Bojangles, we've got outlets for all the big chains - KFC, Church's, Popeye's and such. Several excellent local restaurants, too. So I had high hopes today for Pollo Campero. PC was clean when I arrived at 12:30. Quite busy with about a third of the tables in use and the remaining were clear of dirty dishes. Surprising because they don't have a trash can that I could see - the staff bus and clean tables, clearing them swiftly. I ordered a three piece at the counter and it didn't take long until a running found my tent card and I was able to start. The chicken was thoroughly cooked, still moist. Not much for flavor in the skin today, it needed some hot sauce to bring out the taste. The cole slaw was creamy and crisp. Still good but also a little bland. The small dinner roll wrapped in plastic was fresh and fluffy. Overall, it's a nice little fast food spot. If you're looking for something in a known quantity along South Boulevard near the light rail, this will work nicely.
Amazing delivery experience, fast, hot, and fresh! The flavor took us straight back to our beautiful Guatemala. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of that signature Campero seasoning we love. It’s more than food, it’s nostalgia, culture, and comfort all in one box.
This is one of my favorite places to eat! The customer service is outstanding Today I witnessed a generous act someone who hadn’t bought anything and was riding a bicycle came into the parking lot and asked for water They were treated with great empathy and were kindly given water without hesitation Acts like this deserve recognition Keep up the great work! People are always watching.

I had the empanadas trio with plantains ad a side. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. The plantains were tender and cooked to perfection.
Greeted warmly as we stepped into a bright, colorful, and clean dining area. Received assistance with the menu as we were greeted. Both Citrus grilled and fried chicken were very flavorful. But the sides were the star of this meal. The Campero rice and beans were excellent. Haven't found anything this good in Charlotte anywhere else. Will return asap.

First time and I’m now a fan! Empanadas were the star! Crispy crust with the tender chicken and flavorful spices served hot! The fried chicken was a crispy golden brown and the roasted chicken was seasoned and the skin was not slimy. Great front counter service as everyone was helpful getting my order correct.

I always order online. I came in today & it was 3 people standing at the register & they looked at me for 2 mins before the manager sweet older Indian lady told them to help me. Idk it doesn’t feel welcoming here. I’d continue to order online.
Pollo Campero is a solid option as far as chain restaurants go. The first time I had Campero was in the Mission in San Francisco. This location across the country is comparable which speaks to consistency. I’ve tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich but prefer the generous 3-Piece Fried Chicken meal with sides and a roll. The chicken is fried well and has some flavor. The sides are frozen and reheated but still taste fine. They also have grilled chicken options to substitute for any and all meals but the fried chicken is best. Service is good and the place is fairly clean. Ample parking and a drive through is an option for those on the run.

The food taste is good, but they’ve been consistently bad lately at getting orders correct. More than once I’ve come with my family and ordered and either things are missing, or just wrong. I’ve placed online orders for pickup, well in advance, and we even arrived late, for it to still not be ready on time. As much as I like the taste, it’s not worth it to me anymore. It makes me sad to post this to be honest because this used to be a go to spot for me.

Ladies at the front dont even bother to greet to the customers seem like they hate working there! The young male was very kind the other lady wearing a black hat(maybe a manager assistant) acts like you are a nobody and dont even ask how are you they dont welcome you to the restaurant. Those ladies need some good training about customer service being there its not just about making money its also about making customers feel welcomed and cared for. Please learn some manners we are spending a lot of money there.
We ate here and asked for more horchata, and they said they wouldn’t make any more and it was only 09:15pm and they close at 10pm. Otherwise the food was good.
The fries were not cooked fully. My chicken was dry overcooked and tasted burnt. They messed my order up at first and I asked for fresh food and was willing to w8 for it but the young man was persistent about it being fresh and KNOWING it wasn’t. I’m not eating here again!!!
