Just went here for the first time after years of wanting to and it did not disappoint! The vibe was so cozy and fun, food was delish, and staff was so friendly! will be back! Thanks for such a fun night!
A couple of friends have been here and recommended it to us. We met them for dinner in mid October. While they have outside tables it was way too cold to eat outdoors. We arrived 15 minutes early so decided to have a drink at the bar while waiting for our friends to arrive. My wife ordered a Espolon Blanco on the rocks with some limes and I ordered a Ranch Water. Once they arrived we moved from the bar to a table. While looking at the menu we ordered Guacamole. For dinner one friend and I had Taco Briera. My wife had Enchilada Trio with one cheese, one chicken, and vegetables. Our other friend had the combo poblano with pork. We also shared a picture of margarita with Espolon Tequila. Coyote Flaco is a cool little Mexican Restaurant with a great selection of tequila and delicious food.
Great little Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The home made hot sauce was delicious. I'm so glad we found this place and we will definitely be back in the future.
2025 still as awesome: 2018 Scrumptious, flavorful, savory Mexican, not texmex, FRIENDLY staff, ample tequila offerings, spice to your preference from absent to extra kick. Beats the (no slouch!, nearby) Mexican Radio with both price and flavor. Worth a trip. Highly recommended. 2025: I always eat the food faster than I realized I should have taken a picture, because I know what good food is coming, but I have a photo of the drink and dessert
My sister and I both ordered the trio enchiladas with chicken (she copied me), and they were great; I wanted more mole sauce, it was so flavorful! They were very filling so we both had to get a to-go box. I also got a tres leches cake to-go and tried it at home. I meant to only have a bite and I almost finished it, holy moly. Chefs kiss. They also allowed our puppy on the patio and when we left the server excitedly wanted to get her shredded chicken from the kitchen, it was so sweet! Literally everyone was so nice and welcoming; the owner himself and the two servers who attended to our table were all great. We both live about an hour away but the next time we drive that route, we'll make plans to be back.
My family was in the area from out of town and decided to try it on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated right away. It’s quaint and cutely decorated. The complimentary chips and dip were delicious. We shared the guacamole and it was fresh and yummy. Both of my kids had the steak quesadilla which came with refried beans and rice. I had the trio’s enchiladas and my husband had the tres amigos. Everything was delicious and the meals were big enough to bring home for later. Will return if I’m in the area again!
We were a large group and they were easily able to accommodate us without reservations. I got the enchilada trio which was really tasty - highly recommend the shrimp enchiladas. The churros were phenomenal and hit the spot despite being so full. We also had queso and guac to start - both of which were significantly better than the complimentary salsa. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area!
I have been to the original Coyote Flaco in Westchester for years. The lightest chips and freshest pico de gallo, the churros are filled with dulce de lèche. Now we discovered in Hudson. Leveraging the local produce Christian reproduces fresh Mexican dishes and the cantina feel perfectly. The coldest beer and best guacamole around. Keeping the tradition going!
Went to a car show in Rhinebeck and found this great roadside restaurant on the way home. Was expecting to have a wait (since it was Mother's Day) but they were able to seat us quickly. We had the complimentary chips and salsa which were welcome. The salsa was nice and fresh. For dinner I had Churrasco Argentino which was delicious. (I wish it had a couple of more potatoes) The chorizo was great. The side salad was wonderful with a lot of different veggies and great dressing. My dinner companions all had the Chicken Fajitas that had a fun presentation. I would happily drive out of the way to eat here again! The wait staff were all cheerful and attentive and worked together.
The food was good. There was a lot of things that were clearly store bought such as the guac. The food was fresh however. The service gets a 3 star. There is this wonderful gentleman who was our server he was phenomenal but it seemed like he was the only carrying the load. He bussed tables, served drinks, and was a great host. There were two other young people who just seemed more interested in their phones then helping.
Great food! We went to the High Falls to hike and came here for lunch as it was so close. We each ordered something different and every dish was so good. The meat that went with the tacos and enchiladas was flavorful, pork was a tad on the drier side. We came on a good day so sitting outside on the porch with our dog made this a nice alfresco dining experience for us.
Stopped in for early dinner and sat outside. I ordered a Pina colada, shrimp appetizer, guacamole, and chili releno w/ chicken. The pina colada left tons to be desired. Chips and salsa were passable. The chili relenos was covered in maxed packaged cheese which I removed. Lacked flavor for me. The guacamole was passable, but could use salt. The shrimp was not what was expected when I looked at other photos in reviews. They were small and sad. I didn’t bother with the garlic bread, as it didn’t seem like quality bread. Skipped dessert.
I had lunch here with 3 friends today. One meal was served nearly 10 min. after the other meals and then was only lukewarm. She asked what the 3 sauces were and was told "brown, red & green". I know the brown one was probably mole' sauce...the waitress was of Mexican descent so we have no idea how she was so uninformed. My steak quesadilla was small like I've had other places as an appetizer. It was nearly $22 and very thin with very little steak and cheese. It was also totally unseasoned and, luckily, the guacamole was good and helped it. One person had a mole' dish that was better. Obviously, we won't go back and won't recommend it.
