There's something about sitting on the deck with good drink on the water. They have a pretty good menu, not what you would expect. Located on the main strip of Lake George. Its easy to get to. Not usually a wait but it can get busy on the weekends and holidays

The burgers are sensational and so is the pasta primeavera. The waiters and waitresses take great pride in what they do and are very professional and polite. It was a very warm experience. My whole family enjoyed it.

I'm a 'local' and have seen many seasons change from summer to Fall. There's no place better to take in the beauty of it all than from one of the Shoreline ships! I especially like that the boats are smaller than some of the others... almost makes it feel like a personal tour! The best time for me is in early October... the days are still warm and the scenery is breathtaking. This cruise is on my calendar every year and it never gets old! An experience you shouldn't miss at any time of year!

We had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. The waitstaff were friendly and provided water for our two dogs. The food and the service were good and we had a great outdoor table with a view of the water.

Lake George Shoreline Cruises helped us have the most amazing wedding you could imagine. Kevin and the staff were incredibly helpful during the entire process. Nothing was missed and they were always quick to respond to questions. We had our wedding on the Adirondac and the boat was in amazing condition. They were very accommodating to our outside vendors and the food prepared in-house by their chef and staff was amazing. Our guests continue to rave about how amazing the wedding was. I would highly recommend Lake George Shoreline Cruises if you want to have a truly outstanding wedding experience.

Lake George is only 3 hours from new York city and is a wonderful weekend getaway. It's worth a visit in all seasons be it spring, summer, fall or winter. The shoreline restaurant is located right by the water. It serves good American food. Overall a nice family oriented place in a great location.

Beautiful boat on an amazing lake! A great way to spend time in the summer! Weddings are stunning! Lunch cruises are relaxing and dinner cruises are a lovely evening ride with occasional musical entertainment! The food is always delicious & fresh. Best staff on the lake hands down! Loved the berry sangria special! Highly recommend Lake George Shoreline Cruises!

Such a great experience! Loved finally sitting out for dinner and taking the beautiful views of Lake George in! Excellent food, service and the wait time was not as long as most places along the Lake. I highly recommend! Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful place, and service that will satisfy what we haven’t had for months! Enjoy!

Great family oriented resort, very clean and inexpensive. The pool was recently updated. There is a Cafe and bar and various water sport rentals, all right on the lake! The staff is very friendly, informative and helpful. Scottys is always in our rotation for getaways we'll see again soon!

Came here on a monday and it was dead quiet, the bartender came right over and made some great drinks, they were fairly priced. Made small talk. Me and my wife took the 2 hour cruise around lake George and after we were done with that we came back for more drinks ans apps and they were great too. I was very impressed with the food and the service

went on the fireworks dinner cruise... didn't have great expectations for the food but was pleasantly surprised. dinner was the best we had after being in LG for 4 evenings and we ate at higher end places. definitely recommend this. great food and great viewing for fireworks. will definitely do again.

I brought my kids on the fireworks Cruise and everybody had a great time. We had an amazing view from the top level. There were lots of snacks and drinks were pretty cheap for the lake. The staff was very nice and let my kids see cool boat stuff... We will definitely be doing it again this year.

We recently celebrated my daughters wedding on the Adirondac, and could not have been happier. Along with the day being picture perfect, the entire staff, captains and all, were personable, accommodating, just great the whole time. The food was great, I would recommend this venue to anyone, spectacular day on a spectacular lake!

Food was great! Got a couple burgers later on at night and quality still stood, even for the very last customers to wander in after 9pm. I had the best Mojito and imagine the other drinks are pretty good too. Very friendly host and wait staff as well.

We did the dinner cruise, surprisingly we had very good food the service was great and the cruise around the lake was beautiful. Ended with fireworks felt like we were right on top of the fireworks. Highly recommended.

Best food on the Lake George strip. Don’t let the obvious downstate/out of state tourist impatient complaints dissuade you. They need to chill and remember that everything is not an instantaneous process. Each dish was outstanding and the service provided was friendly and satisfactory. The menu is expensive but the deck view and the food quality make up for it. If you’re in a rush, need wifi, or an app based service, just hop on I-87 south and head 200 miles, you’ll be good. Otherwise, relax and enjoy the blackened swordfish.

We had a superb experience with the evening one hour cruise. Informative pieces of history, beautiful views, excellent customer service. We brought a stroller and everything worked out well. Very friendly captain and crew, and an easy booking process. Highly recommend!

We had a great lunch outside in a very nice open deck with a spread out eating area. Our family of5 walked up and down the shore path looking for an outdoor eating area for lunch. It was about 230 in the afternoon and most places were crowded. It was very upsetting to me how crowded and cramped the restaurants appeared. We doubled back to the shoreline. I looked at the menu and at first thought it seemed a little pricey for lunch, but we were very hungry. When we walked upstairs to the covered porch seating area it was obvious they had removed a lot of tables. It was very open and comfortable. Just what we needed. It was perfect. Our food was delish. Burgers and fish and chicken. We couldn’t have been more pleased. But mostly the distanced tables and clean area really sold it for me. Very good experience.

Food's great, but the service can be slow. Drinks took even longer than the food, which was confusing because there was nobody at the bar. The views of the water are great, and the atmosphere makes this a place worth checking out- if you don't mind hanging around a bit to get serviced.

Chef was not careful of our gluten allergy plate, but the waiter caught it and took it back(he was new and I had really explained that it would make her sick. ) The view is great. There was a beautiful breeze off the lake, we ate on the porch.

B

We did not eat here. We went in for drinks until our cruise sailed. The interior was nice and there was a large deck that you could sit/look out over the lake with the cruise ships are below. If its a fireworks night I believe you can see them from the deck as we were going out on the fireworks cruise.

As we stood outside this restaurant last night, reading the reviews, we were made fully aware that the service could take a long time, and that the food would be average. In front of us, the restaurant, behind us, the breathtaking view of the lake as sunset approached. Without too much second guessing how it would be, we went up the stairs and asked for a table. The restaurant was at around 15% capacity and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. We duly sat in a spot with a phenomenal view of the lake and settled in with our menus. The first clue that service would take a while, was when a busboy placed a bowl of popcorn on our table and said our server would be with us in a while. Popcorn! The waitress came within five minutes (bringing more popcorn) and took our order. Suffice to say, it took about half an hour for the food to arrive, and it was not brilliant (for the money). It was passable. However, I have to say, we knew what we were in for and we had a great time just hanging out, talking about the day, making plans for tomorrow, and enjoying each other's company in a family way. It was crazy to watch the serving staff work so hard. They were rushing around, crazy busy. There were just too few of them, even for the low number of guests at the restaurant. It's hilarious that the management's solution is popcorn, rather than hire the right number of people. Anyway, we had a great time, as our expectations were met, and I'm only taking off one star for the stupidity of not selling another couple of beers while I was waiting. If they need more margin, sell some alcohol to the folks enjoying the sunset, come on!!

The food was really good and the view can't be beat of lake george. We chose to have my bfs bday dinner here and the surf and turf was awesome also the drinks were good. The service needs some help, but apparently the whole US is understaffed

They had convenient parking with wonderful shoreline views. Their popcorn was a nice addition to the good meal. The food was reasonably priced and the service was really good. Our waiter forgot to input one of our entrees and he made up with a bowl of clam chowder on the house. Very nice!

The setting is nice and the view to the lake is gorgeous. Food was overpriced and not as delicious as one would think. They serve popcorn instead of bread and butter. The restrooms smelled like cigarette smoke at the door. Service is indeed slow.

The good: the cajun chicken wrap is *stellar*. In fact, it's one of the best wraps I've ever had anywhere, which is incredible considering how tourist-trappy the area is. I had one for lunch, and went to get another one for dinner later that day. The famous burger was "pretty good" according to my friends, but nothing to call home about. They also give you a large cup of free popcorns, which was a nice surprise, but a bit greasy. The bad: chicken wings. Tasted like a frozen dish that's been microwaved. Had the same issue with mozzarella sticks. Service was standard tourist restaurant level, i.e. slow but friendly. The view in the outdoor seating area is pretty nice, and we had just the right amount of breeze -- kept us cool on a hot summer day.

R

Nice atmosphere and courteous staff but the food service was horrible. We waited over an hour for our food and their was less than 12 people in the restaurant at the time we went. 5 of those people were at the bar. Food was good but not worth the wait. To lackadaisy.

Food was ok but really pricey for what you get. The waitstaff was nice but bar was busy and forgot our drink so we canceled it. No kids menu either.

Was here during Covid and the dining had to be outdoors. They have an outdoor patio so they were open. The wait was very long but this was understandable due to the short amount of room and lots of customers. However, we felt that the food wasn't that great and was overpriced. The staff was great though and the restaurant is close to Lake George. It also has a great view depending on where you are seated.

Location is nice and we had seating on the deck that made evening wonderful. Lunch menu was served for dinner and not many choices. Coconut shrimp was very good. Service was late but I noticed there was only one server on the deck area. Maybe they are struggling with resources.

Food tasted unexpectedly. Couldn't place what was in the quesodilla. And milk was on the menu, but when I ordered it for my kids we were given buttermilk and 1 not told it was switched and 2 only told after discovering for ourselves that they didn't have milk.

Shrimp parmigiana tasted like someone poured a gallon of zest seasoning into it. Bacon burger was very good though. Service was friendly but on the slow side considering they were not busy at all.

My husband, mother in law and brother in law met there for mothers day brunch (we are all from out of town), My brother in law is disabled and drives an electric wheelchair. It was so difficult to get in and out of this restaurant it was ridiculous. They are not in complicate with ADA requirements. Although I am always amazed at the kindness of stranger who helped up move the chair so my brother in law could actually access the ramp. The food was mediocre at best and there were not enough people to carve meat and make omlets and the one we did manage to have made was burned. The buffet was cold and the signs that told you what was in the server were all moved around or absent. Our waiter was very sweet, however he seemed to disappear when we needed plates taken away, even though there were several other employees around they did not help. The view is quite lovely and I would hope this place gets its act together.

R
Ron Young

Bar food at max, service was less then stella as server couldn't remember what we ordered and didn't tell us they did have the coleslaw that was part of the order! I guess he did ok with the drinks! They really have to do better! Chairs and tables hadn't been wiped down. In my opinion, they are not ready to be open for meals!

E
Emily Torio

The restaurant had nice views and friendly staff, however was incredibly overpriced for the lack of quality in the food. Haddock sandwhich was subpar with a hard roll, and also not satisfied with lack of quality of over priced burger. Children's menu was especially expensive and included items such as Kraft mac n cheese, grilled cheese (was not good), etc (each item about $10). Men's room does not contain a changing table for fathers to change their children as well. However I did have a delish strawberry margarita. We would choose a different restaurant next time we are in the area.

S
Scott Colbert

Grossly overpriced!!! Worst steamed clams I have ever had. Turkey club sandwich looked like they made it in a blender. 2 stars for the kid that waited on us, very polite. Don't waste your money, plenty of good food overlooking Lake George.

C
Cait Wilkens

Ok place but overpriced for what you get. The seating outside on the deck is decent with a view of the lake and boats. The service was friendly although our waiter wasn't the most attentive and didn't offer to refill waters until we were almost finished. The prices are just way too steep for what you get. I ordered a fish fry dinner that came with fries for $20. It was not worth it at all. The waiter brought our table's tray of food out and dropped my plate on the ground while placing the tray down. That's not a problem and accidents happen, I don't mind waiting. However, I was extremely disappointed when they didnt offer to compensate the meal or offer dessert... or even just a coffee. I was even more disappointed when the meal itself was terrible. The fries were ice cold and it came with a tablespoon of cole slaw. The fish was bland and placed on an oversized, dry hero bun that was simply cut in half and put on the plate. For $20 it was disappointing to say the least. I'm not sure where they get that price from, as the best seafood places in the country charge maybe 10 or 12 for a simple fish fry. Way overpriced - soup was $8 and no burger was under $13. Drink from the bar was ok but again, not for what they charge. Sorry guys but for the quality of your food, I'm not sure where you get those prices other than upcharging for a view and nice breeze. Usually when places drop food and make you wait, you offer something for the extra wait. Just bad all the way around.

I recently visited Lake George and ate here two times in August 2011. The first was a quick lunch which was OK. I had a fried fish sandwich. It was pretty good but I noted that the fries seemed like they were waiting around a while. Still, fries don't make the sandwich and I was satisfied. The next night we were looking for another place to eat and ended up here again only this time with the entire family (the lunch was with just my 14 year old daughter, the second visit included my wife and two sons, 5 & 7). We returned because I said the fish sandwich was pretty good. Unfortunately, the return trip wasn't as good. I ordered a lobster roll. It came on a hot dog roll (yes!) but it was not buttered and toasted (no!). Plus, it wasn't a true lobster roll. Yes it had chunks of meat but it was prepared more like a lobster/seafood salad with mayo, onions, celery. Folks, I'm from New England... I know LOBSTER ROLLS, I'm a friend of LOBSTER ROLLS, and you, sir, are no LOBSTER ROLL. And again, I noted that the fries seemed to have been sitting out for a while. My wife and daughter both had the spicy grilled chicken wrap and both found it good. Both visits, the wait staff was slower than I would have liked despite the fact that neither time was particularly busy in the restaurant. So, it was a pretty inconsistent experience. Please note, we were seated outside both times and the view of Lake George is fantastic. It seems to me that the restaurant is blowing a great opportunity serving mediocre food with such a great location. Then again, with all of the tourists, maybe it doesn't matter.

C
Christine Sorok

So disappointing. We came here based on a recommendation that this was one of the higher end restaurants in the area. Our party included: my husband, myself and two daughters ages 9 and 15. We eat out pretty frequently, so I would say even the kids know good food and service . You can't beat the location, but that's pretty much where it ends. The waitress took our order (surf and turf, lobster roll, farmhouse burger and a kids chicken tender meal). We also ordered the eggplant appetizer. As we waited for our food, we saw other tables receive popcorn. We waited about 10 minutes and our food came. We never received the appetizer and we felt very rushed. Alas, we were not popcorn or appetizer worthy. The surf and turf was very average at $35 and the Lobster roll ($22) was literally the worst I have ever had. We spend a lot of time out in Montauk, so our Lobster standards are pretty high. This was basically 1Tb of Lobster salad on a bed of lettuce in a roll. The lobster salad and the Cole slaw were seasoned with lots of mayonaise and way too much dill - almost like someone was having a conversation and accidentally poured the whole bottle of dill in. Oh, I almost forgot the added benefit of the crunchy lobster shell in my sandwich - never experienced that before. The burger was just ok at $17. This was our first time to Lake George and we will definitely be back, but the Shoreline is on our list of places to never eat at again!

J
Jeff Kowalski

The place has a nice view but that's about it. The waiter was nice but he couldn't understand what Knob Creek bourbon was. Our dinner took almost an hour to come out and the restaurant was only half full on a Labor Day Saturday night. The food was okay tasting but, my friend ordered a strip steak and it was obviously a sirloin that he got. His wife got a spinach salad with grilled chicken in it and that was $22.I had the fish sandwich that was $18 and it obviously came out of a freezer bag. They tasted fine but for prices like that I expect something homemade. Total bill with tip was $200 for 4 people

S
Susan Tyler

Everything is way too expensive. Ex: a cup of soup is 10.00. Four of us had three burgers, one cup of soup and a half salad, two small apps, and two glasses of wine n the bill wad 190.00. The burgers were overcooked and we were given five shrimp instead of six as the menu stated. There was nothing exceptional about how the food tasted or was prepared. We don't mind paying the big bucks if the taste is great and if you can tell they take pride in what they do.

T
Tara Baker

Wait staff was great, the place is great but the food was not worth the money. I never write reviews but this time when you dish out $90. For three meals and no one liked what they got. Highly disappointing. I got a lobster Ruben it had less then 2 tablespoons of lobster and I'm being generous.

R
Rusty Hill

Decent meal with great views. It would behoove you to not get the $24 lobster roll however. A minuscule amount of lobster salad on top of a deliciously oversized bun. Do yourself a favor and just get the $18 burger instead.

M
Marzena Garretson

Today, it was empty for lunch, only about 5 other tables. The first a server came by and I asked her for two beers after she introduced herself, come to find out she was a helper only gave us water and silverware. The waitress came by shortly after. For apps, we got buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks. They were both good. For our entrees, we both had burgers and fries. Not the best burgers, definitely not good enough for over $20. BUT to pay over $100 for wings, mozzarella sticks, 2 burgers and 3 beers... It's a little overkill. & It was dirty, old dingy decor, musty bathroom smell, and dust/ cobwebs all over the ceiling over the deck.

D
Dale Sang

Interesting that google has 4 stars. Yelp shows 2.5 and tripadvisor has 3. I think that is probably more accurate. The location is nice as its along the water and close to the center of the village. We were wary as the ratings on other sites had it lower but we tried it out. Food is average at best. Stick with the basic fare like burgers and sandwiches. Cocktails are weak, stick with beer. Service is hit or miss.

Debra Lynn Jordan

So the location is fantastic. The food was not bad. My husband and I got the fish tacos and an order of the pretzel bites. We are pleasantly surprised at how good the tacos were. The drinks were fine, it was just beer, however i did end up getting stung by a bee and the 2 bartenders were kind enough to give us 2 drinks chips to use next time we came. So... we went back the next day, hoping to try different drinks and get more tacos. Unfortunately there was a woman bartender who was so unfriendly, rude and just miserable that I'm not quite sure she's aware she works in hospitality. I sat for 7 minute before even being approached. It was a problem to ask for a drink menu. I got an eye roll when I mentioned the drink chips. I asked for Titos in the drinks, didn't happen. She didn't even give me the flavored vodka lemonade I was supposed to get. Unnecessary. We planned on having a nice meal with a few drinks and it was so unpleasant we just left.

We had lunch here on Saturday and chose to sit on the outdoor patio, which was lovely and comfortable. Unfortunately, the good experience ended there. Service started off well, but we were quickly forgotten—even though the restaurant wasn’t busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff. We ordered a Caesar salad to start, and it took over 30 minutes just to receive that. Our main dishes—a turkey wrap and a chicken sandwich—didn’t arrive until another 30 minutes after the salad. While the sandwiches themselves were good, the French fries tasted like they’d been cooked in old fish fry oil, and we couldn’t eat them. After finishing our meal, we waited quite a while for the check and eventually had to track down our server ourselves. Though the server apologized, it didn’t do much to improve how we felt about the experience. Overall, the patio atmosphere was the highlight, but the slow service and poor follow-through made for a frustrating lunch. Not likely to return.

I try to give restaurants a break when service is slow due to staffing shortages. However, our visit to Shoreline is an exception. The section where we were seated wasn’t even half full. It still took our waitress a good 10 minutes to greet us. We placed our orders and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. She put a plate with flatware and 2 drink napkins on the table for us. We were a family of 5 and never saw an actual dinner napkin. My husband managed to forage and brought us 2 more drink napkins. All of the condiments were served in plastic to-go cups. For what they charged for our meal, I would have expected a free refill on my water- but none of us were offered any refills whatsoever. The only good thing about the experience was the free parking. The food was passable but not a “tell my friends” level of good. The waitress was pleasant but completely aloof until it was time to pay our bill. Honestly go here only if every other restaurant has a 2+ hour wait. Otherwise keep your options open because Lake George has several better and less expensive places that actually give you dinner napkins.

View was great. Food itself is ok, but having to wait 30mins for entrees was just not acceptable while the restaurant was at 30-40% occupancy at best at that moment, interior was empty, terrace was not full neither (the waiter reasoned with us that the kitchen was busy... really...).

P
Paul Aguiar

We got to the restaurant. The waitress gave us a list of things they don't have. That should have been our sign to leave but we gave it a shot. Completely overpriced, a chicken sandwich $20 (bun and chicken) no lettuce or tomatoes. RIDICULOUS!!! The service was also horrendous! Asked for a beer and took 15 min to get it. Would not recommend anyone go there. There are so many other choices!

C
Crystal Krasilovsky

Absolutely disgusting! They gave my 2 year old son a raw Turkey burger and said they made it medium... I was like it's a Turkey burger for a baby lol like are you serious! The view is what you pay for it was beautiful but the food was awful! I could make anything better at home. My husband got lobster which was slimy and gross and I got the fish tacos with rice which was flavorless and the tacos were fishy and disgusting. Never again! You live and learn... to read reviews lmao

C
Colin Vannamee

If I could give this restaurant a zero star rating I would we were highly disappointed in the service provided by the staff. There was an hour wait for the food and we never received our appetizer even though the $ 100 check was paid only to receive cold food saying there nothing they could do. No refund provided or accomodations for the ridiculously poor staff service and time management. This place was not worth the price or time wasted.

15 July 2022 Our server Dennis was extremely lazy. Spent most of his time socializing with his coworkers and on his cell phone. We were a party of 6 so he automatically received an 18% tip and could care less about working for it. The food was good but the service from Dennis was horrible.

They are open 4th of July. I'm writing this review as of 12:20pm, after being seated and still waiting for a server, after the hostess has seated my wife and I. I typically leave after a 10 minute wait, it's been 20 minutes. The wait staff seem disinterested in helping us.

Overpriced place. Bad service. No drinks or water offered. We ordered two clam chowder soups, steak and a chicken sandwich. Fifteen minutes later a waiter came to the table and told us that the clam chowder was not ready. We agreed to switch to a shrimp and a corn chowder. Still no water offered. Finally, waiter came with everything except for a sandwich. No one came to ask if everything was ok. After we finished soups and the steak, we asked for a check. The sandwich was not on a check and the waiter admitted that he had forgotten the sandwich. It was two o’clock in the afternoon on a Sunday and the place was not even half full. Not recommended.

Horrible food, slow service. Way to much money for what is served. To clerify, my wife, two young kids and my self were one of maybe 10 guests with several servers. We waited almost 20 min for our coffee to come, and almost an HOUR for our kids COLD kraft mack n' cheese! We walked out. Our bill was still almost $20 for something I would have a hard time serving my DOG! Our server was never seen except when ordering or delivering the "food". It took me walking around tracking my check down for 15 min. to finally get it so we could leave and go eat somewhere else since my wife and I were STARVING by this point! From my family to yours, STAY AWAY!

I went there for lunch with my friends. We were a party of nine and they wouldn't let us split up the check. On the single check, they added gratuity on top of the amount. They charged my credit card an extra $50!!! When I called them about it, the representative told me they didn't charge gratuity and that it was "in my handwriting" which doesn't make sense because it would have been less than 15% tip. They lied!!! They stole from me!!

Nice atmosphere if you get a table overlooking the water...but... Food not worth the price. Bland flavors. My son got the fish tacos which he called "plain white rice with a side of taco." One of my daughters got the shrimp scampi. The peppers in the dish obviously hadn't been cleaned as they still had the grocery store stickers on them. And the children's menu didn't offer burgers, only hot dogs, grilled cheese, plain pasta or Kraft mac & cheese for the low, low price of $9.50. At least the French fries were good...

Waitstaff was awesome, but not enough to compensate for high prices and bad food. My sin and I had steak that was ordered medium-rare that came out seared and completely raw. It took over an hour to get out food, watching others get their food sooner (same types of food, too), and it all came out cold and under cooked.

I ordered the fried haddock dinner. After wating 45 minutes for my meal the fish was still semifrozen inside. My rice was barely room temperature and the vegetables were the same. My daughter and son in law ordered medium burgers and they were overdone and dry. And to make matters worse they charged us for ice tea refills that were served in clear Dixie cups! Wow. Avoid this establishment, you can do better elsewhere.

I ordered the pasta primavera, and my company ordered the prime rib and sirloin steak. the pasta primavera was two cups of oil and no parmesan. the prime rib and sirloin were both overcooked with no options of getting them cooked medium rare or rare. the prime rib was ordered rare and came out well done, brown all the way through. the sirloin was ordered medium-rare and was well done, brown all the way through. the only plus to this dinners were the drinks and possibly the waitstaff. she gave the cook the right orders but returned with the explanation "the kitchen lighting is different", and "it came from the kitchen rare but the weather warmed up the steaks". it was 65 degrees Fahrenheit and windy. this is the first negative review I have given, ever. do not go here. it is expensive for food that is not even remotely restaurant quality.

20 minutes after being seated I had to ask the hostess for menus, 35 minutes later a waiter stopped by the table. Ordered drinks and food , drinks took another 15 minutes, oh yes and our food finally arrived another 35 minutes after we ordered. The food was good but overpriced. If your in a hurry and want to pay more stop in.

Took 20minutes to order. And took another hour and half for 5 orders. Overpriced, tastes pathetic. Fries were insanely salted as if someone dropped the bag of salt over fries. I have no idea how they survived up to this date. View is amazing. But other than that, this place is terrible.

I absolutely try to give restaurants a break given staff shortages and supply issues but we went for a quick early dinner and the restaurant had only a few tables in there with the staff all hanging around the bar. The food was way too expensive for what we got and it was terrible. The staff could not be bothered to serve anyone. It’s very obvious the owner/manager is not involved and I would not recommend.

Great service and location - food was unacceptable! Ordered two Caesar salads with chicken, $20.00 per plate. This would have been fine, but the plates were delivered warm, the Romaine lettuce was brown and wilted (days old) and the grilled chicken had clearly been grilled off the day before then reheated before plating- too dry to eat. The kicker was that I found a shard of ceramic in my salad - thank goodness it wasn't in my daughter's meal! To their credit, they comped part of the meal but it is bold to price a lunch portion Caesar at $20.00 - and then serve food like that - not to mention that if a child had gotten that ceramic in their meal! Plenty of other options to choose from in Lake George I would strongly recommend that you consider another establishment.

So the drinks were fantastic. Everything else was terrible. Pasta primavera was drowned in oil. Prime rib was asked for rare and received medium well and cold. Strip steak was asked for medium rare and received well done. We were then told the steak and prime rib appear the correct temperature in the kitchen light. Steak was cooked through with no warm red center. I have no idea what their lighting is in the kitchen but their understanding of cooking is terrible. Out of three meals, not one was decent.

I NEVER complain or leave negative reviews but... My family and I came in with a large party on a holiday weekend. Service was ok considering they were understaffed due to college students returning to work (totally understandable), but when speaking with the manager regarding issues with the food the manager told us that he did us a favor by taking out reservation and we should be thanking him for accommodating us. Husbands steak was burnt, cousins salmon was cold but still over cooked, sisters food did not come out as described, and two kids have been throwing up since half an hour after they ate. Again, manager has no apologies and no solutions other than yelling at me for complaining. Do yourself a favor and save your time, money, and stomach from this nightmare restaurant.

The only thing good about this place is the view and the people working the parking lot. Our waitress did tell us that we may wait an extended amount of time for our food which was fine we were in no hurry. However after she delivered our food she was not to be seen again. I ordered the caprese chicken, the chicken was so spicy i was unable to eat it. Our drinks were all empty. Way over priced, 24 dollars for inedible chicken. We sat for 30 mins for a check. I took my 2 yr old son out to the car while my mother waited for another 15 mins. The waitress finally appeared twice to another table before my mother went to the hostess station to get our check. Not acceptable at all...

Overpriced drinks and very overpriced diner food. A 14$ BLT are you kidding me? It came on thin white toast and a piece of bacon. The 14$ pretzel was almost inedible as most of it was hard as a rock. The fries were cold as if they came off someone’s left over plate. 14$ rum punch for an 8oz plastic cup as if I was about to play beer pong. Insane! Came in from Vermont to enjoy a delicious dinner and it was awful. They have a good view going for them but nothing more. Would have asked for a refund but the waitress was on planet z and wouldn’t know how to do it anyways. Waste of 100$!

Was there with group for lunch. We all ordered the lobster roll for $24. I have had lobster rolls all over New England. This was not real lobster. It must have been from a can. We all agreed it was horrible. unfortunately we were in a bit of a hurry as our bus was leaving shortly to go back to New Jersey so we did not have time to complain and our waiter never came to ask how everything was. I did not remember the name of this restaurant but I called to speak to the manager as soon as I received my credit card bill. Her response: " what do you expect me to do." I dont expect to go back to Lake George anytime soon, but if any friends are going I will be sure to tell them to steer clear of this restaurant. That was $24 completely wasted....

Walked in so happy with the awesome view on the deck. Asked how big the lobster roll was and if it was great. Was told that it came in a hogie roll and compared to Maine lobster rolls. Came on the hogie roll but with a small portion of “lobster salad”, which was seriously 95% fake crab meat! Don’t tell me it’s comparable to a Maine lobster roll if it’s not. On top of that, the coleslaw was so salty it was inedible (I’m not a picky guy at all and never complain about anything. This coleslaw tasted like it was soaked in ocean water!). When we notified the waitstaff, they went to the kitchen, said they acknowledged the issue, said they were going to “cut” the batch, did not offer anything to fix the issue, and then just dropped the check! I asked to speak with the manager/owner, who gave me attitude and said he was discounting 20% off the meal. I don’t know why I paid anything. I’ve worked in a number of restaurants and if this sort of thing happened, the guests entire meal would be comped with sincere apologies. Please do not give this place business. They don’t deserve to be restaurant owners at all.

Waited 20 minutes after being seated for a waiter/waitress. Place didn't seem to be too busy for a sunny August Sunday. Appeared that there were just two servers for the whole upstairs patio. We thought 20 minutes was a long enough time to allow someone to come over. They didn't. We left.

On July 4th 2020 my husband and I visited the lake George area for the first time and last time. After site seeing for a couple of hours and it being very hot out that day we decided to stop at Lake George Shoreline Restaurant. It being a holiday it was VERY busy that day and we had a long wait to be seated. The hostess recommended that we go inside and order something to drink while we waited to be seated. We gave the bartender our order of drinks and noticed that while he was making them he hurt his hand and threw one of the drinks on the floor out of anger. He then proceeded to make our drinks and handed them to us and stated "don't mind me I'm out of it today." My husband and I went back out to the waiting area and being very thirsty drank about half of our sodas down while walking to the waiting area. We then put our cups down on the table and I noticed all red running down the cups. I immediately showed my husband and we looking inside of our drinks to find all drops of Blood inside both cups. I immediately showed the hostess who then said I'll get the supervisor. Supervisor confirmed it was blood by speaking with the bartender and seeing all the blood in our drinks. That bartender continued to serve drinks without even cleaning or wrapping his hand. When I asked the supervisor why he was still working making people's drinks ,she told me they were to busy to have him leave or stop now. BTW I DID GET AN INCIDENT REPORT.

Didn't get to eat. 4 people in restaurant. Staff just standing around waiting for customers. Six of us wanting to eat and drink. We're told we could not put tables together on deck. Apparently the only spot open for 6 was next to cleaners mopping floor. Chlorine was over powering. Clearly staff didn't take marketing classes. Went to Duffy's Tavern and spent our money there.

Great view, food was not good at all. Table next to ours didn't eat their raw food either. Paid my hard earned money didn't eat much. If you like to pay alot for terrible food this is your place. Great view.

When we got to the restaurant it originally seemed like a nice place to eat with a view. We were a group of 8 and only came for drinks. When we got seated we were asked what drinks we wanted as to which is what we came here for — alcoholic drinks. We asked for a drink menu but they don’t have one. Then we asked what kind of drinks they have as to which were only suggested pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris, and margaritas. Anyways, we ordered some of the drinks but when we got them they tasted like it didn’t have alcohol at all. So we decided to ask our server and he got annoyed that we even asked and stated “I watched him put the alcohol in your drinks.” So whatever we just want to drink them and leave. Eventually they brought my two other friends drinks but they had it in different cups and they were smaller, we literally tested it by pouring half of the bigger cup into the smaller cup as to which it almost filled the small cup up. We asked for a manager and showed her this demonstration as to which she still affirmed their the same size even tho they’re not. She was annoyed we were even bringing it up and just offered two free new ones if we wanted — of course we said yes because we were already spending money here. They brought us the wrong drink when they came back. We asked for the check and they added a 15% gratuity automatically — all for terrible service and rude staff. DO NOT EAT HERE

I came here with my mom and sister last summer... worst place we’ve ever eaten! We didn’t get to order our drinks until 20 minutes after we were seated, and our food took almost an hour to make! (We were only one of 3 groups currently at the restaurant). When our food arrived (3 lobster rolls with coleslaw and fries) the lobster and coleslaw were warm. We didn’t think anything of it, since we’d been driving for 5 hours already from Canada and were absolutely starving. On our drive home, all of us became violently ill with food poisoning. Here’s a tip: save yourself the pain of food poisoning and horrible service from this place and go somewhere that’s actually nice!

Avoid this place. Just don't do it. You'll get expensive, bland and cold food. Our entrés were brought out before our appetizers for some reason. When we asked if we could have our appetizers served first, they said no problem. 20min later, they brought out the exact same plates of entrés that had been left on the pass. The food was both overcooked and cold. Will never go back and do not recommend.

Service was terrible, my husband and I ordered drinks and I ordered clam chowder. $10 for a small bowl. Not a bread bowl or even a side of bread, just oyster crackers. TBH it was good chowder. We weren't able to buy more drinks without ordering more food, but it took her 20 minutes after ordering another round for us to be told.

Don’t waste your money!! Let me start by saying the staff was extremely nice,. The waitress told us to wait would be around 10 minutes or so we ended up waiting close to an hour. After finally getting seated I ordered the lobster tails I believe the price was over $40. The tail came out extremely small and completely dried out like shoe leather. Which is pretty hard to do to lobster also they gave us this clear liquid and told us it was butter. Clearly was not whatever it was had an odd taste. I complained about the lobster tail they took my complete dinner never never asked if I wanted anything to replace it instead of taking the price off the bill the owner of the restaurant argued with the waiter to only take 25% off the waiter argued back and at least got it to 50% money was definitely not the issue I don’t think I should’ve had to pay for my meal at all.

The restaurant is family run which is usually a sign of a good time but in this case it was anything but good... the owners were definitely not around and left their children to take care of the restaurant. A young girl (barely a teenager) was there to greet us but she could not tell time... she greeted everyone with hun or honey which I expect from a diner not a lake front property offering lobster and steak. She mentioned 10 minute wait, which we accepted gullibly... the wait was actually more like 40... not horrible but not expected for arriving at 5pm... After waiting at the table for 15min our waitress finally arrived. It was her first day and we could tell she was very stressed. We asked for two bottled beers and a dirty martini. 15 min later our drinks arrived and we found out that she was the only person running tables despite 3 employees sitting inside talking. The beers were normal (how could you screw those up) but the martini was sweet and came with an eyelash in it... we ordered three burgers (not trusting the steak or lobster at this point) and hoped for the best. We saw a dinner steamboat leave as we ordered and it wasn’t until it came back and the patrons disembarked until we got our food.... burgers cold and lettuce wilted... we finished our second round of drinks and asked our busy waitress if she had a moment. It was the last red flag and it came a little too late. We told her our experience and the waitress (not us) asked us to we express our frustration to the manager. More mad than hungry we took the recommendation and asked to see the manager. Expecting someone with experience, a teenager came by and said we asked the waitress to speak with him as if he didn’t know what was the issue. Wanting to get away from the restaurant as quickly as possible we expressed our concerns, asked that the food be returned and the check for just the drinks. Before leaving the manager had the gall to say that Neptune’s across the street would not be able to give us better service. We didn’t ask and at that point we didn’t care, looking back it was just petty and immature. More than 2hrs of our time was bamboozled from us from a location run by children. The food was cold and the drinks couldn’t even take the edge off of our frustration... All in all this is one of three restaurants that are on my blacklist (the others being in Hawaii and Nashville) that I would never recommend to family and friends if they come to Lake George, let alone upstate New York.

Bad food, high prices! I ordered an $18 cheeseburger, asked for medium. First one came out more then well, hard as a brick. Sent it back, second came out well but not quite as bad. The patties were definitely frozen, super thin, not juicy at all. The roll was too small for the burger. Couldn't believe the prices! $9 for a cup of soup, $20 for a salad. If I'm paying that much I expect it to taste good. We're locals and we won't go back.

M
Meghan Rauber

The only reason for even 1 star is the girl who served us was nice. This was the worst food I think I've ever had in a restaurant. I'm pretty sure the burgers were frozen and maybe the flat top wasn't hot enough when they cooked them because they were oddly watery and probably 90% fat. I only took 2 bites and they still charged us the full $18. When the waitress asked us if we were enjoying our food, we were honest send nicely said no, and she kind of just laughed nervously and walked away as though she hears that all the time. It was bad.

What a long awful experience. I thought we were going to die of thirst in the 20 minutes we waited for our waters to come. Then after another 15 minutes they came back to take our order. We ordered the calamari, it did not have a soft and fluffy breading like fresh calamari. It was more like what you would expect to receive if McDonald’s sold calamari and it sat under the heat lamp for a few hours. My husband got the fish and chips and that was equally disappointing. Even the Gordon’s fisherman would have been disgusted with the quality of the fish and chips and his isn’t even good. Both my kid’s ordered pasta with marinara. I’ve never seen anyone mess this up, but the pasta was mushy and the marinara was on the side. So it’s clear that their speciality is not Italian or seafood. The service was beyond slow, which would not have been a problem if they were actually busy. Save yourself the lost hours of waiting for plates of disappointment.

Visiting from PA and my husband, 4yo and I got seated and after 13min of not even an acknowledgement from waitresses and staff constantly walking by...let alone not even getting a drink order in we got up and left. The hostess who sat us and a few other staff were standing at the hostess podium and watched is walk out not even saying a word. Don't know how the food was so I can't rate that but service was very unprofessional and poor!

The place is really nice. Great views of the lake and the outdoor seating was great. The food was terrible! I had the shrimp tacos and my son had the short rib mac and cheese. The shrimp tacos were a joke. They where basically Ortega taco shells with (very little amount) chopped shrimp, a couple diced tomatoes, thin slice of avocado, and a small chunk pine apple. They were very bland. The short rib mac and cheese had a burnt taste and was floating in grease. There was no way to finish it because it got to the point the meal was disgusting. These two meals with one cocktail (which was actually really good) came to $90 with tip. The portion size was small but the food was barely editable. I would not suggest this place to others and will not be returning.

A beautiful restaurant. Bar has amazing view of our favorite lake. However bartender too busy doing shots with friends. We waited an appropriate 30 minutes because we understand staffing challenges… bartender was not staffed challenged ….as it was us and a beautiful older couple at the bar. He chose to do shots with friends at 4 pm at the bar!!!!

They deserve zero stars. Waited 15 minutes and no one came to take our order. The server went to both tables next to us but never came to our table. We left without ordering. We spoke to the hostess on the way out and told her we were leaving because no one came to take our order and she said ok. Another hostess overheard and offered to seat us again but at that point it was too late since the first hostess didn't care. You knew what the rest of the dining experience would be like. It is very pricey to be this inattentive to there guest. We took our business elsewhere and had a nice meal at Christie's. The wait staff a Christie's was very attentive, the food was good and they had live music which was great. Thank you Christie's for making our first visit to Lake George pleasant.

The only reason they’re receiving a one star is because I can’t give a zero star. This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the start, the place was basically empty at 7:30 on a Friday night, the staff was horrible. One of the hosts, I think?, was at the hostess stand CLEARLY intoxicated, and they were debating whether they should pretend they’re closed and not take anymore tables after us. It took them literally ten minutes to clear a table for the six of us because they were already pushed together and they didn’t want to move anything else, which would’ve been fine if they didn’t chat in between every two glasses they picked up. Finally we sat and ordered. We were starving so we got three apps with our entrees, only one was brought out as an app. We waiting 40 minutes for our food and we were the ONLY table left at 8:30! The whole time the staff was just cleaning up around us. We were never checked on. When our food finally came, it was ICE COLD. Every bit of it! Fish and chips, burgers, calamari. Everything. Was. Cold. How?! We we’re seated outside and we watched as they carried our food on trays inside and put them down and continued to clean, waiting for the other food. Just sitting there in the dining room. Luckily we were starving so we ate what we could and decided to just get out of there. We sat there for another twenty minutes, and when nobody checked on us, (I honestly thought they just packed up and went home), I had to get up and find someone to get the check. We paid and left. I will NEVER go back there again, and now that I’m seeing similar reviews on here about this place I’m hoping people head the warnings and avoid. 0/10 recommend.

From start to finish, I am extremely disappointed. I visited this restaurant a few years ago and although I understand tough times. This was no excuse. When we arrive standing directly in front of 3 staff no one seemed to want to seat us until I asked do we seat ourselves. Once seated we waited 15 minutes before we were even noticed and that was because I had to flag staff down. For the entire experience I found myself looking over at the staff congregation area as we needed to seek staff and servers out just to get attention. I was blown away. Food was not great, I got a drink and that was even worse. Our sever acted inconvenienced when being asked for basic condiments. Then just so we could get out of there as my kids were already done with the experience of waiting for 30 mins for most things, I received my check then when the server returned with my card after payment, he ended up charging my card for another tables food worth $250. My bill was only $150. I am a local and I will probably say clear of this restaurant moving forward.

Find somewhere else to eat! Bad service and mediocre food. Our experience here was very disappointing. We sat ourselves, and were never asked what we wanted to drink until 20 minutes after we sat and gave the waitress our order. Appetizer was brought out with our entrees, I ordered a fish entree that I did not realize was actually breaded and since I’m gluten free I mentioned it to our waitress who brought over what I assume to be a manager. The person that spoke to me was very rude and basically pulled an ‘I told you so’ moment because after I expressed my food sensitivity she proceeded to ask if I had celiac or just a sensitivity and showed me that it in fact said ‘herb crusted’ on the menu. Did not offer me anything to rectify the mistake and so I had to scrape off the breading from the fish and hope I didn’t get sick. My entree was also not served hot. Our clam appetizer was full of sand, and all this at a steep price to pay for what you get. We were never asked again for a refill on our sodas or water until we asked for the check. On top of this I had to use the rest room during our meal and the whole wait staff was hanging out at a table eating and conversing instead of being attentive to their patrons. Overall I would not recommend this place one bit, and we will never be going back to this establishment. I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to dine if you are visiting lake George.

Don't eat here. The lobster roll was just awful. It's a tiny cup full of lobster meat placed over a hard, oversized bread that is overpriced.
