Drove thru on a whim after leaving Lowe's. I''ve never been to this Popeye's location, but today I literally got the best piece of spicy/crispy chicken I have ever eaten at any chicken place! Must've just come out of the fryer because it was piping hot and super crunchy outside and inside nothing but juicy deliciousness! I was practically eating the bones! The fella running the drive thru (tall, slender Indian man) and the one pulling my order (shorter, bearded) were both so polite and helpful ensuring I got exactly what I wanted. I don't live too far away, so I can already tell, this is gonna be dangerous! :) (Note: I ONLY got 2 pieces of chicken and a biscuit. I did not try any sides or go inside.)

Only have ordered delivery, but the WINGS have been excellent the last several times. Everything else is kind of absurdly expensive now and fine enough, but the wings have been consistently stupid-good. So much better than they have any right to be. And they aren’t priced absurdly! They’ve been promoting them hard so there’s been so many BOGO deals with them too. Gonna ride this high for as long as it lasts.

As soon as I heard this place opened I HAD to visit. The cashier with green and purple hair matches my exact personality - fun, goofy and mood lightening! Meeting her was a very pleasant welcoming and a great distraction from being hangry, hahaha. The employees working on the food remind me so much of the movie Good Burger, honestly all the employees are an absolute joy and very hard working. It wasn’t until the manager had come out to thank all of us for coming that I realized why everyone there was so pleasant; She was just as exhilarating! Absolutely will be returning again and again, Love That Chicken From Popeyes! As for the comments complaining about things that transpired on the Grand Opening day… Y’all, it’s a “Grand Opening”, meaning everyone’s new, they’re learning. They’re all human, so relax, will ya? At least give them a week before you leave a harsh review O_o

I've been to a few Popeyes. This one is run well. Very clean, food hot, and service is quick for a lunch rush on a Friday. I didn't get a fork or offered ketchup...but not a deal breaker. I would definitely come back. The chicken is good. 👍

They are nice, the place was clean and food was fresh. Haven't been to Popeyes in years. I used a coupon I got in the mail.

Pretty good place, go here often. One time I got the wrong food and has issues and the manager called me a week later and gave me all new food. Really appreciated that and made my day. Definitely gonna keep going here

They were incredibly helpful and understanding. We placed an order through their mobile app accidentally to a different location, but they didn’t have any issues providing us with the food anyway.

i came by at 1130pm on a friday and there was no one in line abe the speaker even told me they were closed before she cut them off and asked what was up since they were still open . when i tell you guys this was the best popeyes i’ve ever had and im even 100% sober right now . literally the freshest fast food i’ve ever had and i didnt even really have to wait longer then 3 mins . was expecting the nasty food u get at the end of the day every other place but the 2 people working gave me the best popeyes ive ever had .

The gentleman at drive thru was kind, courteous and smiled. Their food was/is always the best. Glad Latham has a new chicken stop and glad it is Popeye's. They could use an illuminated road sign on Route 9 though, but I bet it is Latham/Colonie holding them back - so unfortunate. Still going to be a repeat customer though, sign or not. 😁🐔

I went through the drive through and ordered the 6 piece chicken wings for $5.99. The drive through was empty and service was fast but somehow they had the wings all ready and hot immediately. I got the signature hot spice and they were very spicy but good. Only complaint is it’s bit too oily.

We were in and out of the drive-thru line in less than 5 min (7pm weeknight).The drive-thru employees were very funny, pleasant, and helpful suggesting options to meet our preferences. Our food was correct in the bag and prepared when we ordered (not from a warming shelf). Only "negative", our wings were a bit under-sauced. Otherwise great!

Thank you for responding ! I purchased food for my Kids on or around December of last year . I just got a fraud alert from my chase credit card . Someone associated or working at Popeyes scrapped my info and attempted to use my credit info at Popeyes . Buyer beware

It's Popeyes. Chicken was good. I used the drive thru and there was virtually no wait time. I would ignore my atmosphere rating because I didn't go inside but from the drive thru the kitchen area looked clean and well kept.

Food and service is good. The staff is always polite. However, I ordered a Dr Pepper that tastes like plain seltzer water. The meals are not cheap there so it was disappointing when I went to take a drink and ended up with pig glorified seltzer. I would recommend for the food and the service if you’re looking for something a little less expensive this May not be the place

Absolutely love the food here! The only thing that I don't get is when you order a 3 piece tender large combo, they either give you the wrong size drink and sides or they give you 5 tenders anyway. The staff is friendly, but they never get my order right. With that said, the food is always cooked super well and tastes great.

The staff was not very helpful in honoring a online promotion. Then he realized they were out of Apple pie after ringing me up, when I asked for a refund he couldn't do it and had to give me a dessert I really didn't want.

Order a tackle box and was charged for 2.00 for cups was but under breakfast wraps. People in Popeyes told me to ask for my wraps. Also told me to order first pay then ask for a cup.

I'm not sure what has changed with this location. This was the best Popeyes in the Capital Region. For the past 2-3 months, they have not had Spicey Chicken ready. Always a 15-minute wait. On this visit, I went through the drive thru, and I had to park and wait 15 minutes. They then came to my car asking for my receipt because they lost my order. They finally brought my order. When I got home, took my 1st bite and it was regular chicken and not spicy.

Service was fast but like why was my chicken sandwich BARE. It was literally fried chicken in a bun. They said they were out of pickles but why were they out of EVERYTHING for it?!?!

Service is very terrible. Lack if Food that should be ready when ordering but takes 15 minutes then you have to get a substitute because order is not ready or ran out after you have ordered .

This place sucks. I have been here twice and both times I've been kept waiting in the drive through waiting on an order that I ordered 20 mins before. This most recent time they gave me a cup of mash potatoes that wasn't even 1/3 full. See pic

The staff is always very nice & polite & their service is fine. However, I do have to agree with a few other folks here, the food is terribly greasy - even for fried food. Purchased two sandwiches, chicken & a fish. The batter on the chicken was only partially cooked, parts were just doughy. The batter on the fish glistened with grease - neither were edible.

This place was fantastic on opening week but has gone downhill fast - quality and service are in a complete freefall. We ordered two combo meals online for dine-in. When we picked it up, there were no napkins, no sauces, and no drink cups. The person at the counter seemed annoyed when we asked for them. Four drinks were out of stock and there were no good alternatives, so we got no drinks There were no napkin dispensers anywhere, and no straws near the drink machine. The food was room temperature. An order of 8 nuggets had 4 nuggets with clumps of mysterious yellow stuff around the meat and 8 chunks of batter. The tenders weren't any better. The food is at restaurant prices, so we expected better.

I ordered a 5 piece spicy tender meal at the drive thru, fast service, got home, they gave me 5 classic tenders and a container of hot sauce. It was barely warm when I got home (literally 5 minutes later), I ate it anyway because it was 8:30 at night and I was starving. I washed it down with one of their $4.50 lemonades, which was really good, sadly the medium sized cup was full of ice. Woke up this morning at 7:00am and threw it all up. Had to call in sick, couldn't even get ready without puking. Obviously not visiting this location again, which sucks because it's 5 minutes away and Popeye's is my favorite.

I went there twice. The first time, I bought two meals, one for my son and one for myself. They gave me one napkin. I went to the counter and asked for some napkins, and the guy gave me one more napkin. I cracked a joke about begging for one napkin at a time. The second time I went, I ordered a 14 chicken tenders meal. When I asked for the sauces, the guy behind the counter said it doesn't come with sauces. Lemme repeat - the chicken tender meal does not come with SAUCES. I had to pay for them separately! Wth!? I don't know what's going on with this place, but they are super cheap. Go to the one on Central Ave if you don't want to get penny pinched 🤌

The workers were lost. We got one straw for two drinks. One spoon for two sides that required them. Forgot our chicken sandwich and sauce for the tenders. On the speaker for ordering, there was 2 different people taking the which causes confusion I'm sure. OH, and all the meals don't come with the biscuit, you gotta read the fine-fine print. Its under the fine print that says meals include and regular side, biscuit, and drink. I'll try it again another time, once they have a chance to learn the system. The food was good, service not so much.

NOT RECOMMENDED by ME FOOD: 2 pc Leg & Wing w crunchy coating, about 2 Teeny Tiny bites of chicken underneath, mashed potatoes w gravy burned my throat. Biscuit was Perfect. OVERPRICED MENU. SERVICE: Drive-Through MENU changes while searching for choices & prices AND person taking order had strong accent i could not understand any of the words repeated for ordering. Sodas had dripping down the cups sloppy pouring & serving. ATMOSPHERE: Did not go inside.

They seem to be the stingiest cheapest Popeyes in the area. They only want to upsell you on sizes, while being very stingy with their portions their chicken is not cooked well as crispy or as greasy as Popeye's other places, and their service tends to be a little condescending and annoying as they are trying to get every dime that they can out of every customer. Would never go to this one again. There are others nearby like the one on Hoosick Street Street who will always hook you up.

They don’t annunciate when ordering (that is, repeat your order) so you can confirm. Mashed potatoes were lumpy, niscuit was too well-cooked, almost hard. Not a great experience-won’t go back. Soda was best part of meal.

When ordering at this location please, I beg you to check your pieces before you leave. Twice moe I have ordered a breast and twice now I have received a thigh. The 2nd time I told them about the first mistake. I was assured I would get a breast. Well I did not receive the chicken breast. So disappointing.

Bad experience. Part of the order was missing. I asked the staff at the window if I had a complete order. He assured me yes, and when I arrived home, the fries were missing. I called the store and dropped my aggrevation. The store manager was very nice and offered me a free meal. But I never went, was total out of my route. I'm giving a 3-star just because of the manager.

I was a Hospitality manager for over 20 years. When a customer think he was shorted the whispers and look and stopage of work and you know they are talking about you in there own language. This experience will make me feel uneasy and beside the wait time is too long . Customer Service is not good.

This place is a train wreck. My order was placed at 1:03pm on a Tuesday. Set to fire at 1:21, to be picked up at 1:36. I got it at 1:55. Had to ask, then they began to assemble it. They had no idea what they were doing. My order was incorrect. I'll never go back.

Hate to leave a bad review but this Popeyes is just so disappointing. It’s the closest to my home so I’ve gone several times and each time I’ve told myself it’s better to avoid it. I just ordered a ghost pepper chicken sandwich and fries and paid $12.49+tax. Fries were cold and chewy. So cold that they must have known they were sitting there for a long time. But apparently they don’t care. $5.14 and they look like they came out of a McDonald’s happy meal. Might be about 10 fries in there. That were too cold and chewy to eat. See the photo. At least the chicken sandwich was hot and good. But I will not go back there.

Extremely poor service - they made a mistake with my order and refused to remake the food. Told me to complain to corporate if I wanted to. Won’t ever eat here again.

Worst Popeyes I have ever gone to in my life I love Popeyes. It’s usually a great experience. The floors were filthy. They had no straws no salt and the man at the register had no idea what he was doing. None of the food was fresh.

Food was delivered after 20 minutes like warm. Did not have any condiments that I paid for. Very upset with this place.

I just had a horrible experience with the Latham NY Popeye's on Route 9 just south of the circle. I pulled into the Drive Thru and asked for "a Blackened Chicken Sandwich, Sandwich only with the classic sauce". The person responded with would you like tp add bacon and cheese and I responded no thanks - so far so good. At which point in time he asked if I wanted classic sauce and I responded yes. He then asked if I wanted the sandwich only and I responded yes. I had already been very specific about what I wanted and there was no need to ask those questions but fair enough that he wanted it to be accurate. At that point he then asked if i wanted something else and I just drove off and won't be going back again. It's so obnoxious when they just try and sell you more things when you very clearly specified what you wanted. It's not my fault they don't want to sell just a sandwich because they price it so cheap in order to draw people in and then sell them other things at ridiculous prices. I ordered a side of rice one time and got about 5 bites for $4 so now I just stick with the sandwich which apparently they aren't happy with.

A $14.99 5 piece chicken tender combo came with only 2 chicken tenders and 3 chicken nuggets rather than the 5 chicken tenders. And 1 of the chicken nuggets was not ok to eat. Something was clearly wrong with it. Additionally, the chicken bacon cheese sandwich was extremely greasy as it had been sitting around for quite some time even though we arrived there at 11:10AM. The sandwich was made with 2 chicken tenders and partially raw bacon not even a chicken breast like at other locations. The side of mac and cheese was gross. The cheese was hardened over the top of the mac and cheese. The food is clearly mad extremely far in advance and kept warm for a long time. The pricing is a bit ridiculous. The little cup of mac and cheese was 4.95. I would never go back to the Layham location. I do hear however the Clifton Park location is good. The over-all bill came to $40. I'd go to a real restaurant for lunch next time.

This place is disgusting and I love popeyes. The last piece of chicken we ate naturally we found a black beard hair in the batter of the chicken. We went back to talk to the manager who simply said, next time I guess we can do better. We wanted our money back it was so disgusting. Apparently they wear hair nets but none of them wear anything for their beards, and this was a beard hair. I posted it on Facebook and got a reply from another woman. She had found a very long dark hair in her macaroni and cheese. Obviously this place is not hygienic at all. Save your money because it is also very expensive.

Food was average as expected, but my girlfriend ordered chicken tenders and couldn’t hear the cashier when she asked what sauce she wanted. I went up after she ordered and asked for some honey mustard and the cashier said that she can’t give me any sauce packets because my sandwich meal didn’t come with sauce. Hope this was worth 4¢ worth of sauce.

I don’t even know how this place has 5 star reviews! If you been to a Popeyes you should know it doesn’t taste nothing like this! No Flavor mashed were like soup exchanged it for Cole slaw even worse. This place needs to be checked by corporate!

The food is not good. I went twice when it first opened. Both times a chicken sandwich...both times poor quality chicken and overly greasy. Never went again I don't get the hype. Service was fine in the drive thru. Building looks looks nice on the outside

The regular mac and cheese was literally 2 Spoonfuls. The blackened chicken sandwich was extremely small in size, over cooked, and they forgot to add cheese. I ended up throwing it out. Definitely will not go back to this location.

Ordered two, 3 pc tender combos at 12 in the afternoon. The tenders and biscuit were stale. Tasted like a stomach ache, the next time I get stale food from this establishment, I will report you to the DOH. Invest in training for your staff as they are only as good as their training.

Now I drive to Delmar and I live in Latham , food is bad , dry chicken always out of spicy , staff sitting on the floor in the cashier area , mess my food up twice . Owner needs to get a new team . As a Business owner my self I know he or she is losing money.

Then heard in the background why is that car there and what are they waiting for .. It took 15-20mins to get an order I paid over 60.00 for And when I finally got it .. The gentleman asked I’m sorry mam for the wait I made sure everything is in the bag. Once I got home I didn’t get bbq sauce And the sides were less the filled in the containers. Worst service and inexperience staff. You have to wait for your food atleast more than 45 minutes . Third class i would say worst and third class words are not enough for there performance. The staff dont know how to work i think they hire really inexperience staff on low pay to save money and to waste people time . Zero zero i would say minus stars . If you have money and time to waste i will recommend you to go to this third class popeyes to do that. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Watch your credit card transactions when paying through the app. They charged me for my order and then a separate $10 charge for who knows?! And good luck trying to get your money back.

I went to your grand opening at the Latham, NY restaurant. Your store opened at 1030am. But instead of having anyone welcome you they were all standing around inside the store talking to each other. I walked in no one was at the front register. I stood there for about five minutes and not one person came over to me. I turned around and got into line at drive through. There were two cars in front of me. I had to wait another five to ten minutes cause they were not asking for your order. At last I got up to give my order and the person taking my order was great. I asked for a regular chicken and fries. I got my order and found pickles and sauce. I tried to wipe it off and eat it. I ended up being sick the whole evening. So my experience is I will NEVER go back. From the most lazy grand opening to trying a plain chicken sandwich and regretting it.

I went to lunch yesterday for the first time. Literally everything in my simple order was wrong! They didn't give me my macaroni and cheese. I asked for extra gravy and was charged but no gravy. I asked for a chicken breast and got a thigh. I asked for butter for my roll and got some kind of liquid stuff. I had to pull teeth to get napkins since there aren't any in the dining room. Worst experience ever in Latham. Will drive the extra distance to go to Troy. Needless to say I was sick the rest of the day🤮

Very very disappointed with my order. I was so excited about my being able to have my daughter pick up my order. Rice and beans were dry Mac and cheese was dry and cold. The chicken was ok. I also ordered a root beer soda (flat) and tasteless, maybe missing the carbonation, but it did have ice. It was terrible and I poured it out. What a let down. Over $35.00 dollars for my order. I had great hopes for you to start with a wonderful opening. You don't want to let your neighbors down or co partners (burger King), which will be opening up again soon. I JUST can't believe you even screwed up on a lousy root beer soda. I hope things get better for you here in Latham. Well maybe your staff needs more prep.

Very slow to help and if you don't place a pickup order far ahead of time don't expect to get your food anytime soon. Would be great if the customer service was better.

Not returning to this location, I asked for blackened chicken sandwich, they gave me regular chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon. They forgot my fries. This was not a complicated order yet they managed to messed it up completely. Fries were very soggy, did not taste fresh and they charged almost $5.00 for a small which I thought was outrageous

Terrible first time visit for a new location, poor customer service skills , poor management, employee at window barely understands or speaks English.. and nothing tasted like it should… They also waited until after they rung me out to tell me that they were out of mash … then tried to give me a large mac and cheese to make up for it … where is my refund ? You guys need to get it together … or this location will NOT last …. !

An absolutely horrible place to get food. My fries were old and stale and my chicken sandwich was undercooked! When I asked for a refund after taking 2 bites out of it they refused and tried to give me different food. I will absolutely be avoiding this place in the future and I warn everyone against eating undercooked poultry 🤢🤮

I have ordered both online and in the drive thru...they have NO IDEA what they are doing. Each time I have problems communicating with the staff, English is not their first language. The orders are always incorrect or missing items (do not pull out from the drive thru before you check to make sure you have everything). Online orders should be foolproof but are worse. They never seem to understand that they sell spicy chicken, because I never get it when ordered. From what I understand they have been written up poorly in a news article as well. It is no wonder that lunch time they are never busy. Go to another location, this one simply doesn't care about the customer. I'm so upset I'm contacting the corporate offices to complain. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Every single time I come here the order is either cold, wrong or both. You order a large, get charged 3$ extra and then receive a small. The people that work there are rude and don't care, I go out of my way to troy just to get chicken that isn't messed up by these people

I asked for a cup of water while waiting for my food and they said they only had seltzer water. Seriously? This is the second time this has happened. They also never put sauces which were included with our meal. Cheap people with cheap attitudes. Try the hoosick street location. I do not recommend.

I never seen an empty Popeyes until I came here, & I understand why, just save time & go to the Popeyes on hoosick, this Popeyes has slow rude service BUTTT what’s worse? The food! I asked a simple question "if you offer halal chicken" my answer was we are closed... 15 mins before Google says they are closed. When I said, that wasn't my question... he said uhh noo but it's too late to take phone order. I didn't say I wanted to place an order. I had a simple yes or no question and he didn't wanted to make it so he decided he didn't want to take any orders.

They almost never have spicy chicken and today, they didnt have any chicken. Might as well close up if you are a chicken restaurant and dont have chicken! Literally the worst Popeyes in this area.

Second time at this site. First time food was very disappointing. Second time I did an online order which included a 6 pc free wings with $10 purchase. It show on my transaction when I placed the order however when I went to pick the order up it was missing. When telling the associate and mgr of this store they said there was nothing they could do, would not make good on it. I had a $25 order so plainly was eligible for offer. Last time going to this new Popeyes.

Very strangely operated Popeyes. The food is good the customer service could be a little better but I don’t expect 10/10 service at a fast food restaurant. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars for the atmosphere and service is because when you order a side of fries they just throw them into a bag or box and there’s no way the sizes are proportional/correct which I think is very strange rather than using a fries holder like every other establishment, so you might get blessed or you might feel scammed if you order fries. But they do have plastic straws so that’s a plus. #IDontCareAboutTheTurtles

Sadly the portions at this Popeyes just keeps getting smaller and smaller, soon I’ll be buying empty containers I guess! Honestly every side is now less than half full. It’s unacceptable when paying $15-$20 per person for a chicken sandwich, a side and a beverage, only to have every side to have a spoonful or two per container. I’m going to spread the word that this location takes advantage of customers to increase their bottom line. Worth driving to Chick-fil-a instead!

This is my third time at this location after they opened. There’s a few things that they really need to figure out. We’ve gotten sandwiches multiple times. They always lack The spicy sauce. We have to go back and ask for extra sauce. One time we went back and asked for extra sauce they gave us ketchup. Second time we asked they gave us Louisiana hot sauce. We specifically requested Ed whatever hot sauce is on the sandwich can we just get a little bit of that on the side since there was none really on the sandwich. Another thing that is really annoying for everyone is that we have to ask for napkins that are behind the counter. If the staff is really busy, they will not look at us because they have other things better to do. I understand the owners are trying to save money, in the long run it’s really only affecting customer service and it’s going to get people really annoyed. Something as cheap as napkins. If they are worried about that, then they are in the wrong business. All they have out is the straws. When I asked for extra ketchup, they only give me three, this is the only place that does this. I don’t know why. At the end of the order, they always try to upsell I get it you’re trying to get more revenue in but seriously I’m trying to be in and out. It’s a fast food place I’m not trying to enjoy my lunch or dinner. I just wanna get out because I got other things to worry about.

Long wait time, the food was ok. I enjoyed the fries, but, the strawberry biscuit was dry and didn't have a lot of frosting. Mac and Cheese was bland and the pasta shells were mushy. I did an online order but they wouldn't let me go through the drive thru to pick it up. I had to go in to get it and my order probably took around 20 minutes to get. Service was nice, the people were very kind. Didn't really have a lot of stuff, ran out of coleslaw, and told people to choose something else in exchange.

Worse fast food experience ever. And I have been around awhile! Biscuit soaked in a salt bin? Chicken almost raw. One piece and a wing of mostly battered skin, I would not say was 2 pieces. Disappointed and trying not to be disgusted. Absolutely not a bargain either despite $5.99 coupon.

I NEVER write reviews. I eat popeyes maybe once a month. This is my first time trying this location. I was there at 9PM 10/29. I got the 3 piece tenders and mashed potatoes. Once I got home I immediately started puking. And now I’m up at 2am and I keep puking. My stomach is in literal agony right now and I’ve been in tears because of how much I’m hurting and how sick I feel. I don’t know who was cooking the food, but someone did something wrong. Idk if it wasn’t fully cooked, or what, but I am seriously sick from this right now and it’s absolutely awful. After this experience I will never be eating at any Popeyes location ever again, because I have never in my life been in so much pain from food. I also want to note it was an absolute mess inside. Wrappers and crumbs all over the place and the drink machine looked gross. There was also no toilet paper in the men’s room and in the woman’s room the toilet paper wasn’t even in the toilet paper holder. Just placed on top of the bar. Super unsanitary and shows that the people there are lazy. It takes two seconds to fill the toilet paper holder. This overall has been the worst experience I’ve ever had at any food establishment. Close it down or replace your entire management and staff.

Bad service! Also fried chicken is not cooked all the way.

Worse place ever waited 20 had to go to the counter, it was not processed watched the man throw my lunch together. should have checked they gave nasty mashed potatoes which I dislike instead of the red beans and rice I ordered sfter he asked what side I ordered

Ordered 3 piece meal which is now 15 dollars. Asked for hot sauce, gives me two and when I asked for more; the guy grabs two more but drops one in my bag. How could you be cheap with hot sauce packets? His face changed immediately when I asked initially and does a switcharoo to give me one more? Place is a joke.

Ordered a 4pc signature combo through DoorDash on 11/05/2025. Felt something off with the chicken breast and I come to find a large CHUNK of hair wrapped in the breading of the chicken.

Don’t come here.( Latham NY location) worst Popeyes in the area. We ordered the family bundle meal for $25 and they said it’s only online even though it doesn’t say only online and the other Albany area wasn’t online..( where does it say online only????) so we ordered online while we where in line ( so freaking dumb) .. food horrible ( cold and nasty) . Biscuits salty and never had ones this bad at Popeyes! service horrible !! Waste of money and time ..PS bring your own napkins ( you’ll get 1 per person)

If I could leave less than one star I would. I came in as there was a wall decal on 6/2/24 which had the big box for $6.99. The cashier told me they do not have that because it starts tomorrow. I told them the sign is up on their window, but I was unable to get it. How can you put the sign up and not offer it?
