A proper pub and not just an Irish themed drinking bar. The food is well prepared and incredible. The drinks are well built, the beer is served at correct temperature.
Super cool and clean and i haved the surprise that one if barman know few words in romania language ... and yes I will have others beers there for sure
Our party of 4 stopped in on a whim. What a great decision that was!! We were at a hotel nearby and needed supper after a long day of travel. Outstanding food!!!! I had a veggie taco, a corned beef taco, along with a side salad. Both tacos very good but that corned beef taco: Incredible! My son had fish and chips and his wife had a salad but I don't remember which one. My husband had a pub burger. All food was delicious!!
There is a nice feel about this place which is as genuine as can be. We only stayed for a Guinness but it was well worth it. One of the best pints we have had (so too in an Irish bar in Santa Monica) - and that is saying something because everywhere we go we find in an Irish Bar to down a Guinness.
In town for a convention, Auld Dubliner was right across the street. Staff was great, atmosphere was very Irish Pub authentic, food was decent, but overall had a great time. Might go back again tonight, definitely next time we are in town!
Friendly bartender, live Irish folk music, and a very tasty beef dip, what more can you ask for? The beef dip is really tender, I didn't find myself fighting through any fat or anything that can often happen with this dish. My only ding, but I didn't let it impact my rating, was the roll. I'd love something with a bit more chew to it. I'm native to the east coast, so I have different standards that I won't punish others for. :)
Great place to grab some drinks and a quick bite at the Pike Outlet malls or before seeing a movie at Cinemark! Easy parking, staff is very helpful you can tell they care and drinks are strong! We come at least once a month for the atmosphere, it’s great here! Food is good but could be better, more of a bar then restaurant
During a convention weekend (with the convention center RIGHT across the street) there’s nothing better than finding a reliable Irish pub. Although the drink prices were a bit steep - the tacos are incredibly well priced as well as the rest of their menu, with solid self service seating, and incredible team to boot! When I inevitably return for the same event next year you can be sure i’ll be back at The Auld Dubliner.
This isn’t just a bar. It’s a storybook wrapped in mahogany, lit by the soft glow of pub lanterns, and seasoned with enough Irish spirit to make Saint Patrick do a double take. If you’re craving a place where your pint has purpose and your afternoon slows to a poetic crawl, this is your holy grail. You don’t walk into The Auld Dubliner, you step across the Atlantic. Every inch of the place hums with worn-in charm and pub-soaked history. The bar itself is a carved-out beauty, heavy with wood and character, lined with bottles and stories. I half expected to see Brendan Gleeson nursing a whiskey in the corner while reciting Yeats. My wife and I came in for a late afternoon cooldown after soaking up the sun and the sights. She ordered a chilled glass of wine with the grace and style of a seasoned Euro traveler. I went full Irish and asked for a pint of Smithwick’s Pale Ale, cold and proper, nestled on a coaster like a crown on a velvet pillow. The bartender? A legend. Friendly, quick, and clearly fluent in pub-speak. He didn’t just pour drinks, he read the room like a novel and played host like it was his own living room. The Auld Dubliner isn’t just a stop. It’s a ritual. If I lived nearby, this would be my sanctuary. My after-work pub. My pre-game pint. My Saturday lunch turned Sunday session. The next time I need a reset, a reminder of good drink, good atmosphere, and good company, I’ll be back. And my wife will too, swirling her wine, probably laughing at how poetic I get after a pint and a half.
A great pub with live music and super friendly staff. I asked for my sandwich to be made with a French baguette instead of regular toast, and it turned out amazing! I’ll definitely be coming back! The place is dog-friendly, which is a big plus. However, I wouldn’t recommend the calamari here. They’re tough to chew and feel like they’re trying to make you choke on long strips. I’ve had much better calamari elsewhere with a different, more enjoyable texture. If you’re planning to try the Beef Wellington like I did, you should know that on Sundays when the convention center is open, they’ll serve a convention menu and won’t be able to prepare this dish. For example, we were told that January is quite a busy month for them in this regard. I strongly recommend calling ahead to check, especially if you’re traveling from far away! It would also be helpful to have this kind of information available on their website. As for the Shepherd’s Pie, it’s decent, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. It has a lot of mashed potatoes, then a layer of gravy, and finally ground meat with peas. I felt there wasn’t enough meat, and there were too many peas. I’d prefer more meat and perhaps replacing some of the peas with carrots. Regarding the clam chowder, it’s good and is served with a piece of bread. It’s not quite the same as what you’d get in a seafood restaurant, but for a pub, it’s a decent level of quality.
I came here initially with a friend for the Trivia night on Mondays. First time I just had drinks. Next time I'm so glad I also had food. I expected crappy bar food. But actually I received a very well assembled potato pancake with chicken, mushrooms, and veggies with a very tasty white creamy sauce called the Chicken Boxty. I highly recommend. Also the tacos were well crafted and delicious. Looking forward to Trivia nights and to try more yummy food.

Great Irish bar located near the convention center. It's a great spot to watch the gran prix when in town just get there early because they get crowded with race fans. The drinks are strong and tasty with all the traditional Irish fair. You can park at the mall next door and they do valet your parking ticket. The staff are friendly and helpful on things and questions about things to do in the area if you're new and visiting . Look forward to come back.
Great location (across the street from the Long Beach Convention Center). Has a real pub feel. The food was good (get the Irish nachos and beef dip sandwich). I'm trying hard to find a place with an awesome Guinness. The pour was alright (the head wasn't as thick as it is in Europe and it didn't have the creamy mouth feel, but that must be an American formulation of the stout), but I'll never say no to a glass. The love music on Friday night was good (I think the duo's name was The Dropkick Mickeys) and they interacted awesome with the crowd. I will definitely be back.
Fun, casual lively atmosphere on a Tuesday evening. Met a couple friends and we shared some tasty curry crisps. One friend ordered the pub burger and the other had corn,, beef. I got the pub burger but with a veggie burger patty. And it was so tasty. Good beer choices and huge selection of whiskey. Parking was close by on the side streets. Under the fairy lights. Feed the meter if you park before 8? Or 9? The staff was friendly and fun. There was live entertainment while we were there. I would recommend this place for a fun space to meet friends down near the convention center. Good food, good atmosphere.
The beer is cold and there are daily happy hour specials. I’ve enjoyed this establishment multiple times over the years, we like to stay nearby when visiting. When the crew in the back is on their game fried items come out just right, their specialty items have solid flavors, quality and consistency and the special concoctions like the corned beef tacos offered recently were liked by several in our group. Prices are in line for the area and not so overinflated that folks on per Diem should balk completely at the cost of the meal. You won’t have much left over for anything, else but some self control with the alcoholic beverages and the evening won’t put you in the “hole”.
The panko crusted Mac n Cheese balls are really good! They are a good portion and so I would definitely recommend it as a shareable. The fish and chips are also a very generous portion. I would def…

Food was really good, things not a place for good service or if your needy in any way. Order sit and eat no more no less is what I received with my group. Been here about 10 years ago about the same and that’s ok if you know what to expect. Come here with a couple pals have some drinks and food and be on your way. Cannot recommend this place or say this is one place you have to try. If you accidentally come here just enjoy your food.
