Very good food here. Some outdoor seating which is perfect on a nice day. I'll be back.

Love this place! Great food and very friendly staff! They also have outdoor dining which is a plus. :) Went out to eat there the other night with a group of friends and the service was excellent. The waitress was nice and started conversation to make sure that we had everything we needed. We wanted to order dessert that included ice cream and the waitress informed us they were out of ice cream. We ordered the dessert anyways without the ice cream, just to find out that the staff ran over to a store to pickup ice cream so that we wouldn't have to eat the dessert without any. I loved that! It showed how much they cared about their customers!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! (P.s try their delicious margaritas !)

Casa Lupe is a small Mexican restaurant located in central downtown Los Altos. It is a bit pricey, but considering it's location, it isn't out of line with other restaurants in the area. They claim to serve tradition Mexican food, and I can verify that as a frequent traveler to Mexico and eating where the locals eat. The food portions are generous, cooked just right and served quickly. The restaurant seating areas are only a few hundred square feet, but it's comfortable and clean in there with a very pleasant atmosphere that re-creates a typical Mexican restaurant. Parking is easy and close by, the area is very safe, and it's a place I plan to return to in the near future.

Have been going to Casa Lupe for over 30 years. If you want Mexican home cooking, this is the place for you. It is locally owned and operated and you may have an owner wait your table. The service is expeditious and the food is quite good with generous portions. You can't go wrong with the specials and the Burrito will fill you up. All in all, it's a good value for the money.

Food was very good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent. Very friendly staff and food was served hot and timely.

Great place to go with a group when visiting Palo Alto for work.. the portions are huge and the guacamole and margaritas are top notch too! Definitely worth a visit if you are in town.

The food is amazing, service is fair. Little small at this location, but worth the wait. Chimichangas and Enchiladas (cheese particularly) are my fav. here.

The burrito was absolutely disgusting the meat was gristle and to top it off it was $16 for a $2 burrito worst place around will never go there again I feel ripped off and it gave me diarrhea

I really liked the chicken en mole, but the veggie quesadilla was uninspired and barely had any cheese. Our meal was pretty expensive, even when factoring in the large portions.

Been going there since the early 70s. Reasonable food. I'm just more used to their cousins' restaurant in Sunnyvale.

The food was good but wasn't as good as Fiesta in Mountain View. Other dinners thought that it was one of the best in Los Altos.

This place in Los Gatos, was great at one time. But the food became mediocre as well as the service.

I asked for Enchiladas de California and got Mole Enchiladas, and my friend asked for no beans (due to an allergy) and still received beans. I didn't want to waste the food so despite the waitress asking to take the order back, I decided to eat what was given to us. The Mole Enchiladas were fine, yet I was disappointed that so many things were incorrect with our order. Perhaps there was a lot going on that day at the restaurant.

Food was competent (American) Mexican, but not good. Mango margarita was blech. Wait staff was hard working, but overworked and not especially kind. We much prefer Palo Alto Sol.

Got take out today. Ordered a burrito without cheese (I am allergic). I got a wet burrito (not what I ordered) COVERED in cheese. It took a ridiculous amount of time for a burrito that was inedible. In addition, I was the only one at the restaurant so they don't have the excuse of getting my order wrong . Will NEVER go back

Salsa was definitely not homemade - very bland and you can taste the preservatives just like the store bought Picante/Tostitos generic brands. The margaritas barely had any alcohol. I ordered chicken enchiladas. The sauce was ok but the beans were definitely out of a can. Yuck. Chicken was boiled and shredded -- no flavor! And to top it off.... the service was very slow. The restaurant was maybe 10% capacity and I had to flag down my waitress to order food. Really? I'm amazed a place like this, in this expensive location is able to stay open. There are much better options. Oh and all the 5 star reviews are clearly disingenuous/bots/fake.
