I had a short layover in LAX and stopped at the closest cafe/bar near my gate, and I’m glad I did. The Space Dust IPA was ice cold and super refreshing—definitely recommend getting one. And you have to get the pretzel with cheese, it’s massive, warm, and perfect with the beer. Service was quick and really friendly, which is exactly what you want when you’re short on time. Great layover spot.
Their caprese panini was so amazing that I got one for lunch and took one for the long day of travels ahead. Highly recommend.
The two bartenders that helped me today are amazing people, I was laughing and the hour I spent there flew by. You dont usually get this level of service at any restaurant, let alone at an airport. Thank you both for entertaining and being so friendly while I waited for my flight! Beer and food was also great but ill return for the great service
Food and Betty (waitresses) were great! The wings were great and the beer I had was awesome. They let me have three tasters so I could make the best beer choice... Which for me was a Ride The West IPA.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Point the Way Café – A Hidden Gem at LAX! I wasn’t expecting much from airport food, but Point the Way Café completely surprised me! I grabbed a breakfast burrito during my layover, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients that actually tasted like real food (you know what I mean, airport travelers). The staff was friendly and fast, even with the morning rush, and the atmosphere had a relaxed, pub-style vibe that made waiting for my flight a whole lot more enjoyable. Definitely a great spot to refuel before takeoff. Don’t miss it if you’re passing through LAX Terminal 6!
For an airport, a damn good choice. It's a bit pricey, but everything is at LAX. Here at least, the food is really tasty and the service was super friendly. Some booths too, so it can be quite comfortable to take your time and relax before the flight. The fish tacos were definitely better than I would have expected, with a quality tomatillo salsa on the side.
The food was great. Beer was fresh. Service... depends on who is the server. First time, we got a great one, but when we came back later for dinner there was another lady working and she was not very nice, maybe tired, who knows.
Golden Road is located in Terminal 6 of Los Angeles Airport. We’d had a long flight and it was time for something to drink to wind down. Although Golden Road was pretty full, there was a good turnover on the tables and we were quickly seated. It was warm so I ordered a Corona which was perfectly cold and the usual lime in the top. My friend ordered a Bloody Mary. The food looked amazing and a family next to us ordered nachos which they let me snap a photo of. They said I could try some, which I did – delicious. Golden Road also has a takeaway section at the left of the entrance, so if you want to grab a premade sandwich and a drink, this is where you go. Staff were lovely, fast and efficient. Easy access for anyone with a disability. Prams can also navigate through the tables. Dietaries can be catered for, so please ask the wait staff.
The coffee tasted like goat hide and the burrito was cooked with butane. The service was good. Then I had to pay using a QR code but the website did not work.
Stopped here at LAX and ordered about $30 of food at the to-go kiosk (pepperoni flatbread was actually pretty good) and even left an optional tip. While waiting, I sat down at an empty bar seat right next to the kiosk, which is part of the same restaurant. Within a couple of minutes the bartender came over and told me I couldn’t sit there because those seats were “for the bar only,” even after I showed him my to-go receipt. Fine. I didn’t want to make a fuss, so I scanned the QR code on the table to look at the menu and was about to order a drink as well. He came back a second time to move me again and told me the QR menu “doesn’t work” and that I had to order directly from him, while handing me a paper menu – which had exactly the same items as the QR menu, including the flatbread I had just ordered at the kiosk. At that point I really didn’t feel welcome anymore. I just grabbed my to-go order as soon as it was ready and left. I can’t say for sure whether my race or gender played a role, but as an Asian woman it was hard not to feel singled out and unwelcome. Either way, no paying customer who has already ordered and tipped should be treated like this simply for sitting at an empty seat and trying to look at the menu. For what it’s worth, the pepperoni flatbread itself was actually pretty good – it’s the way I was treated that made this a very disappointing stop.
Absolutely terrible service. We tried to sit down after ordering a to-go order (no one was there to seat us / take our order when we got there. We didn't know this would make it so we couldn't eat at a table). The restaurant was completely empty since it was 4:30 in the morning. A women came over as we were about to sit down and told us we had to go to "the patio". She said there was no way to transfer our order to be dine in. We asked if we could buy drinks and she said no you already paid. Just a crap attitude for no reason. I get it's an airport restaurant, but there is no reason to be rude and intolerable.
Terrible pepperoni flatbread. The bread was soggy, the pepperoni tasted like cheap red sausage, and the cheese had no flavor. Nearly impossible to eat—even when hungry.
I went to this restaurant because it looked like a nice place. The food was good and staff was good. Until I said I was paying in cash. The server let me sit for over 45 minutes and never got me my bill. I finally asked for the manager and my bill showed up. I was treated like a out cast for using cash. I will never eat there again and encouraging everyone with cash to not eat there.
I was in a rush to get to my gate, I stopped here for a quick burger to go so I could have a meal before boarding my flight, I purchased my 26 dollar burger and while I was standing my back pains started getting the best of me so I sat down at a spot by the bar to wait for my burger as I ran across the airport just before this. I was informed that the bar seating was only made for people trying to be served at the bar, mind you if this place was packed I would have completely stood and waited but a dead bar with 2 people seated at the end of 20 chairs and your refusing a paying customer seating while they wait ? This places service is trash just like the undercooked 26 dollar burger and the bartender has a bad attitude
I wish there was a way to give zero stars. There is really no place sit because seating is very limited so you have to order to go. And due to the location (being at terminal 6) there are not many other options. I ordered fried chicken sandwich with salad instead of the fries, but they messed up my order and gave me the fries instead of salad. Food was cold and nasty. Fried chicken was dry and hard as rubber, and not edible whatsoever. Straight to the trash can.
This place sucked so bad. Ate here for breakfast right when they opened. Server immediately tried taking our order before we had a chance to look at the menu. We ordered coffee and didn’t get it for like 15 minutes. It tasted like it had been sitting at the bottom of the of the pot for weeks. Put 4 creamers in my cup and it was still so dark, bitter and burnt tasting. We never got the water we asked for to wash it down. Cold fruit put on the same plate as the eggs and potatoes. Potatoes were like the fries from yesterday’s batch but then cut into bite size pieces, then refried. The server was MIA the whole time. Had to hunt her down to get the check. We gave her cash and she shorted us $20. Customer Service and quality is non existent. Should of just went to Starbucks.
The QR codes don't work. i tried it 3 times.. bar tender got very heated. Called over the manager and he grabbed my phone to scan it. long story short, went to a place by gate 66. No hassle and they even took my cash. I never leave bad reviews. Yet I will be call them repeatedly until they make that right.
Very slow service. Server originally didn't write down order, then realized she couldn't remember the entire order and would start jotting it down. She got the order wrong then placed a new order for the right items, which meant that I got double charged. Tried fix the issue and took 30 more mins to get the bill.
