Avis sur China Station Mariposa
Fantastic restaurant, lovely family business very clean and lovely. Great vegetarian options and phenomenal flavours (especially loved the Mapo Tofu and spicy eggplant)
The food was really good, reminded me of the Chinese take out spots back on the east coast
Best Chinese food we've had in a long time... Who would expect such exceptional cuisine in a remote small town? Highly recommendef?
Large portions, friendly staff and fast service. We had sweet and sour chicken which was succulent and fresh and the egg fried rice I’ve had in the US. Enjoyed everything about this meal it really hit the spot and even got a fortune cookie at the end yay! Only feedback was that the restaurant needed some background music on as it was very quiet and toilet needed a clean uplift. I can’t complain about anything else, I’d definitely come back and was dreaming about the food this morning again!
Delicious Chinese food! We were traveling and got some takeout which was very tasty and enough for leftovers the next day. They have sit in tables at the restaurant
Outstanding value and quality! Family run, family style! Every dish was amazing!
Honestly, I don’t know why this place has so many bad reviews. All I can think is that the competition is trying very hard to beat them. Many reviews from local guides may receive compensation from competitors. It should be very hard for this Chinese family to strive in a place like this when they are constantly harassed for being the only Chinese restaurant in town. The restaurant is clean, the decoration is beautiful. The service was quick, and the food was great. We ordered food for five people, alcoholic drinks, appetizers, and the cost did not surpass $110. They have plenty of options for vegetarian people, which was important for us since we were traveling with two vegetarians. The server was very nice; however, if you are expecting a conversation with the server and jokes, you are in the wrong place. Many reviewers misjudge this family based on their culture. You need to be culturally sensitive to know that Chinese culture is very different from American and Hispanic cultures too. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for vegetarian options, quick service, and an affordable meal.
Im a big fan of chinese foods. I tried so many chinese restaurants in US, this place is my favorite. If you can eat spicy food please try szechuan chicken very deliciousss and even taste better than the one I ate in China. Meal are cooked fast, portion was so biggggg. Really love it. Thankyou for making me smile today.
After a long drive, we stopped for a quick lunch. The food is tasty and fast, perfect for hungry people (like us, lol). I recommend the hot and sour soup and Mongolian beef. I love the rich flavors!
We came here with a full appetite after a long drive and were not disappointed! Food arrived quickly and was absolutely amazing! In fact, we went there the next day as well, craving some more amazing food. We ordered the hot and sour soup, sizzling chicken, chicken chow mein chop suey, and fried rice. We loved it; this is a must try in Mariposa!
Ordered takeout while visiting Mariposa. The food was delicious, they had vegetarian and vegan options. Fast service, friendly staff.
Food was delicious! Came out steaming hot. Eggplant and Mongolian beef was my favorite. Would definitely recommend.
We traveled from New York to Yosemite and were really craving Asian food. This place was about a 50-minute drive from our hotel—and it was totally worth it! Honestly, the food surprised us in the best way. We ordered 3 dishes and a wonton soup, and everything was delicious. The service wasn’t perfect, but everyone was kind. One of my friends joked, “If you see the owner’s kid doing homework in a Chinese restaurant, the food’s going to be authentic”—and it definitely was! I saw someone say the Thai food here isn’t great, but come on—it’s a Chinese restaurant, and that’s what they do best. We loved it so much, we’re even thinking about coming back on Tuesday!
We arrived at a large parking lot with the sun blasting from the sky. The only noise was the slow humming of cars passing by behind us. No person was to be seen, in what was a peak American moment. With the American flag waving across from us, we entered the establishment and were greeted by cold and agreeable AC chilled air. With a friendly nod we were shown to a table. It was 1.30pm on a Sunday, and there were 4 tables occupied. By the door, there was an elderly lady eating with what might be a grand child. In the center of the room, a large group congregated around a big round table (typically Chinese restaurant like, if I may add), with a rotating center. This center is meant for aharing food, but this group was each having their own meal, no center food to be seen. And finally, a group of 4 having a quite discussion We ordered the Tofu dishes, the waiter was brisk but efficient. As a side we got the fried rice, with vegetables, highly recommended. Our waters were brought out by a Chinese boy, the waters with plenty of ice, and fresh taste. While waiting for the food we got to appreciate theinterior design, clearly Yosamite themed with many studfed animals, and pictures of scenery. Overall a cozy and calm vibe, where we felt at ease The food was splendid, well seasoned, and plenty. So much in fact we were able to take almost a full additional meal home with us. We recommend this place warmly, specially for vegans.
The restaurant is super clean, the atmosphere is pleasant, but food is spectacular!!! We remembered this place every time we went out to eat in other cities while we were visiting CA. I ordered Pad Thai. My taste buds were on the 7th cloud it was so juicy, flavorful, and just perfect 100% recommend
Stopped here for lunch on the way up to Yosemite. What a great little find. Good food nice service clean. If I were in the area, I would definitely stop here again.
We got here on a Sunday at 7:00 or we were seated right away. We placed our order amd food came out hot and fast in about 10 min . It was exactly what we ordered. Very delicious. It was so good we almost finished it all.
Quality and quantity! Really good food! Definitely be ready to share because they are big plates. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Delicious, fortifying and I knew within the first few bites it was going to be just what I needed after an arduous hike. Staff was very warm and courteous, and the atmosphere was very cozy. 11/10
Wow I just eat one of the best sesame shrimp I have ever had And chicken chow main I live in lemoore Cali (559) and this Chinese restaurant is in my top 2 the other one is in the (530) Thanks I will be coming again to try the sesame chicken next time and see if u have Drunken Noodles
Authentic Vegan available with mindful servers! Had the family tofu but preferred the braised tofu and veggi fried rice from my partner. (Same dish different sauce) Would come again. Cute interior as well with beautiful vases. Gratuity already included in the bill For three large meals with water and a small portion of rice we paid 54$ with tax.
This is a great spot if you’re craving real Chinese food, not the fast food kind. It’s a small, family-run place with that classic Chinese restaurant vibe you see on TV: round tables, Chinese decor, simple and homey. Also, they’ve got the AC on blast, which is a nice bonus, especially on a hot day. When we went (right at opening on a weekday), it was just the owner running both the front and the kitchen. Even though he was super busy, he still took the time to check in on us, which we really appreciated. We got the fileted fish which is usually hot and spicy, but I asked if it could be made not spicy, and he made it just how I wanted. It was delicious. We also had the sweet and sour pork. Big portion, good for two people, and we still had leftovers to take home. The shrimp fried rice was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. I ended up ordering another one to go, and the owner gave me a bigger portion without charging extra. We also had Thai iced tea. Perfect sweetness. My sister wanted one to-go, but they ran out of cups. Luckily, we had a venti-sized cup and he filled it up, no problem, just charged the regular price. Prices are super reasonable, portions are solid, and the food is made with care. Just be patient if they’re busy—it’s worth it. Definitely give this place a try.
For this small town I’m going with 5 stars. The food IS GOOD. Huge selection with decent prices. That sizzling beef thing really is the bomb. The garlic green beans are damn fresh as well. The dumplings are big boys and damn good. We also got the mushu. It was mushu. Nothing special. The dragon lady that runs it is on it. Don’t expect a lot of interaction but she’ll take care of you. All up you can’t go wrong. Oh their house made hot sauce is the bomb.

Small business and family ran. It’s nice to see a family running their own business and restaurant but keep that in mind and be kind. It’s just the dad, mom, and daughter. The food is good and the atmosphere is homey. We like the sesame chicken and pork fried rice. The servings are large family portions and can be shared.
China Station Restaurant @ 5004 CA-140, Mariposa, CA 95338 A nice mix of Thai and Chinese cuisine with a good variety of dishes on the menu. I tried the hot and spicy calamari and asked them to make it mildly spicy — they did a great job! The calamari pieces aren’t the usual ring shape but are cut into longer strips, which was interesting. We also ordered the orange chicken, and I was curious since they mentioned that no MSG is used in their food. The orange chicken was a bit on the sweeter side, and the sauce had a genuine orange flavor. Worth a try if you’re passing through Mariposa or staying in the area!
We were coming back from Mariposa Grove in Yosemite and stopped by this place to have dinner. The food was great, fast and well served. We had hot tea, fried rice with beef, Mongolian beef and won ton filled with cream cheese. Everything was delicious. The only thing that makes me give a 4 star rate is the messy place and restrooms not so clean.

Had a wonderful reasonably priced meal. I ordered spring rolls, rice and wonton soup. Everything prepared well and tasted yummy. I loved the wonton broth and spring rolls were nice and big. Can’t wait to take my family.

Loved the chicken and the spicy levels was perfect! It was, however. I have gone back for it six times and out of those visits only TWICE have they gotten my order correctly. I will not be back, cant keep throwing my money around blindly and hoping I get what I asked and paid for.
Hey peeps. So, for Chinese food it's average. Terrible phone service. Its the only Chinese food in town , so if you got a hankering for Chinese it's ok. Not fancy.
The fried prawns were bad. Way too much breading, super dry. Tofu dish also bad. Generals chicken was pretty good. It's a small town and probably hard during COVID but I had hoped for just a bit better.
I was deeply disappointed with my recent visit to China Station. As someone who appreciates good cuisine, I found the food here to be a real letdown. The dishes lacked any authentic flavor, making for a bland and uninspiring meal. It felt like a complete departure from the rich and vibrant tastes that Chinese food should celebrate. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and considers improving their recipes and cooking techniques to provide a more genuine and satisfying dining experience.
Some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Manchurian beef was inedible and could not cut it with a knife. I hate to provide such a poor review but they seriously need to revamp their menu & recipes.
Food in very poor condition. We ordered vegetables mix and green bell peppers were rotted. Sauteed sause look dark. Also ordered station shrimp and they tasted horrible. Please don't come to this place
Food tasted cheap, not much flavor. The dumplings were actually pretty bad Sesame chicken was only ok Paper chicken had no flavor And the wonton soup was alright. And made me sick for two days
Order /paid for shrimp. Got home with chicken. Crab soup ordered was won ton. $15.99 Wanted small Cho mein. Max tip auto. $31.32 Missing Egg roll. These are my neighbors and they jacked me. I do not recommend eating here!!!
This is based on three visits. First visit I ordered Kung Pao chicken. What I got was a plate of Kung Pao celery and onions with three small pieces of chicken. Second visit I ordered spicy chicken and some noodles. The spicy chicken tasted like grease and nothing else. There was no spice to it at all. It was also overcooked. The noodles came with a gravy that had a weird aftertaste. Third visit I arrived around 40 minutes before closing but was told I could not dine in. I had to get take-out. I left and have not been back since. I will not be going back.
I would give it 2 stars, but the prices on the menu were cheaper than what I was actually charged. Also, the barbecue pork is not good. Overcooked, very chewy, not flavored right, and so watery that all the sauce leaked out into the bag and got everything sticky.
Note: Please bring your own water they didn’t provide us They bought food quickly and don’t expect water to drink We waited for water and after all these we decided to bring my own bottle from car. We ordered fried rice and cashew chicken Taste : my family say no and don’t want to visit again. Fried rice is salty. Cashew chicken is something they boiled everything and no taste nothing. Plain boiled chicken with some salt Carrots zucchini and celery are boiled ( everything boiled and dipped in corn starch liquid for liquid to be thicker) Quantity: is good but not worth to get it here There is no soap and tissues in bathroom
The lo mein had… no sauce (or flavor, just steamed noodles and a few veggies). And the chicken fried rice tasted… not good (old, bland, and soggy). Spring rolls were good! I really wanted to enjoy the food, but I just couldn’t bring myself to eat it. I hope the quality of the food improves in the future.

Just be sure you read on the front menu prices are raised by 2 usd , and minimum extra service charge is 15 percent , but they added 18 percent . I understand if you service charge the tables who are at least 4-6 but tables of 3 is a joke. The food was nothing special , pork ribs very chewy . Not recommend .
Worst chinese food I've ever had. There was zero flavor in the orange chicken and the vegetable fried rice tasted like bad eggs and grass. It's so expensive too, especially for food that's not even good. I won't eat here again. Sorry to leave a bad review but you guys need to do something different with your recipes.
Food sucks. The seafood soup just ruined my night. Cold day in hell that I come back. I'll make it myself.
