Excellent Brazilian food in a fun atmosphere. We had polenta fritas and yucca croquettes for starters, then a mix of beef, chicken & linquica skewers, as well as a wonderful moqueça loaded with mahi mahi, shrimp and veggies in a coconut broth.

Went for an early dinner with the pup. Calm atmosphere and great attention from the staff. Food was great and I had a really enjoyable time to myself.

Great little spot that makes you feel like you are right in Brazil. Filled with memorabilia and posters, they also played Brazilian music when we were there. We went there for lunch and had the chicken coxinha, and the chicken with catupiry pastel to start. For lunch, we had the steak with onions and fries and the feijoada buffet. Both were very satisfying. Also we had 2 caipirinhas and they were very well made.

The food is amazing Don't forget to buy a bottle of their hot sauce, it's awesome and I think only $7. We went tonight with friends visiting, it was different than when we normally come. Our server was great, but was on his phone alot. He may have missed more sales. The salad I normally have ( pictured with many views almost 50,000)was filled with iceburg lettuce, it was suppose to be only arugula. My daughters meat was so oily and her fries seemed old and refried and soaked in oil. Our food for 6 came out not at the same time.We have been here with 8 people before and our food came out all at the same time. What was different? Not good. Do you have new management?

This is one of the most pleasant, enjoyable, and relaxing restaurants in Miami, sitting outside is great where one can smoke anyting, they serve hookah, the food is exquisite, the drinks superb. Came here for the Brunch Buffet that’s on Saturdays & Sundays from 1-5pm. I’m not sure whose Brazilian grandma works in their kitchen but, please give her a raise! The food in the Brunch Buffet is always fresh, and tasty. The food literally tastes like it was simmered overnight and it’s never under seasoned. If you’re ever in the area, try them out.

Live music starts around 8pm, entire band plays for hours. Amazing traditional Brazilian cuisine and appetizers. Diego provided pristine customer service as our waiter tonight, food came out fast and we were checked on frequently. As the name suggests almost everyone speaks Portuguese here, but if you’re coming here as an American you’ll fit right in.

Service was great, our server spoke English, spanish, and Portuguese. We went a Friday so there was live music. They have buckets of beer 5 for $25, we got an appetizer which was amazing and the picaña steak which was also excellent. People were dancing and vibing to the band! Daisy was amazing. It honestly felt like she was running the whole place by herself, and somehow everything still went perfectly. She was calm, professional, and super attentive the entire time. My drink never went empty, food came out right on time, and she didn’t miss a single detail. You can tell she really cares about what she does… that kind of service is rare. Casual spot for some delicious Brazilian cuisine. Service was good and the atmosphere is unique. We tried the codfish ball (bolinho de bacalhau), the shrimp with onions (camarao acebolado), and the pork and bean stew (feijoada) buffet. They were all great, very tasty and well-seasoned. Yet, the feijoada was the star of the show - with a lot of options from the buffet that came with the feijoada offering an excellent weekend option for a very fair price.

Place is great. We were visiting in town and my girlfriend, who is from Sao Paulo, had to go here and it was a great choice. She felt like she was back in Brasil. After we ate, a samba band came and started playing, place filled up, and we started dance for hours. I felt like I was back in Rio. We loved it. Fun atmosphere in the outside dining area. We showed up for a late lunch/early dinner. The waitress forgot half our order and that was delayed but other than that everything was great. Caiparinha was fabulous and strong. Lots of people were eating the buffet that was provided, we opted for the regular menu. 2 pastelles, 2 skewers, side salad and one appetizer, plus 4 drinks ran $100

Such a fun place! We were looking for food at 11pm on a Saturday night and found this place which delivered on food and music! While we didnt understand the music (all in Portuguese) we still had a ton of fun watching the singer bounce around the bar dancing with the crowd. The coxinhas were a lot smaller than I am used to, but they were very tasty. Apparently the oven for the pão de queijo was not working that day so I unfortunately did not get to try this :( and went with the bolinhas de bacalao instead. It was pretty fishy and wont be my first choice next time. The chicken skewers were so flavorful and juicy with the onion and green peppers complimenting the chicken. The rest of the table's entrees were very seasoned, sometimes being a bit too salty. I would be willing to go back to try more of the menu. Boteco has easily become one of my favorite places in the MiMo neighborhood. I have visited twice so far. Once on a Sunday and once for lunch. Hands down good experience both times. Even though we had a hiccup a few times due to language barrier but still I highly recommend this place. Lunch- My friend and I opted to order some apps and split the Burger special on the lunch menu. We ordered Bolinho De Bacalhau (fried codfish croquete), Coxinha De Frango (chicken croquettes & catupiry cheese), and my favorite Caipirinha. Tip. The codfish balls are not great but the chicken croquetas and the drink was delicious!! The burger was good too but I think next time I'll explore the menu more instead of acting like a basic American ordering a burger at a Brazilian spot. Sunday was the icing on the cake for me. They had a Dj playing Brazilian music and guess what? People were dancing! I mean seriously they were salsa dancing and it was amazing! The music was good and the crowd was local. I couldn't believe how close I live to this place and I've been missing out. I ordered the Picanha Steak, chicken empanadas and of coarse my partner in crime Caipirinha. That Sunday, I laughed, danced and promised I would bring friends and family here. Tip order the steak one temp down because they serve it on a sizzling skillet so it's still cooking when you receive it. I ordered med and by the time I ate most of it it was beyond well done.

This place was a nice surprise. I stopped in for a work lunch. My fish sandwich was very good. The fries are great. Service wasn't very attentive, but it wasn't unpleasant.

For a fun time dancing and laughing in Brazilian style and listen to live music then this would be the place to come. The food is like every day home style and good and not fancy but great vibes this place does have. Must try the coxinha de frango for they are delicious. And even if you sit inside and dine, you can join the party group outside and dance to the rhythm of the drums.

Both meats were pretty overcooked and kind of rubbery, especially the chicken hearts. They served the entree with some farofa and vinagrete, which both came in very tiny plastic containers, maybe 1oz at most. Ridiculous portion size. The farofa was cold, and the vinagrete did not seem fresh at all. The flavor of everything was very mediocre at best, very disappointing considering it’s not a cheap place. The music was also EXTREMELY loud, to the point where I could not hear my girlfriend sitting right across from me. I asked the staff if they could turn it down, and although they were very nice about it the music stayed pretty much the same. Why have a DJ play loud explosive music while people are trying to enjoy a peaceful dinner? Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. I’m sorry for the unkind words but as Brazilian this was such a let down.

I have visited this place more than once, and unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing because of the service. One of the servers, Guilherme, has repeatedly shown a lack of professionalism and courtesy. His attitude feels unfriendly and disrespectful, which is unacceptable in hospitality. Working in customer service requires basic politeness and respect toward guests, and sadly, that was missing here. I truly believe management should address this issue, because no matter how good the food or drinks are, poor service ruins the entire experience. I hope this feedback helps improve the training and standards of the staff

This place is not the same anymore. It’s under new management, and you can really feel the difference — not in a good way. The owner/manager was sitting casually at the bar next to me, acting like a drill sergeant. I ordered a limonada suíça and they didn’t even have condensed milk or enough lime. Still, it cost about $9. Way overpriced. The pão de queijo wasn’t fresh either — it came out in just one minute, clearly not baked to order. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Such a shame, because it used to be really good.

Service was average, nothing out of the ordinary, not worth forcing to add 20% on top of the overcharged food,seriously who charges $41 for a 13-oz picanha. The food was abysmal, overcooked and no flavor. if you're here for the music or drinks, be wary to ask for light ice, they overfill you on it. I ordered a total worth of $30 of items and ended up paying $60... with the waitress telling me "tip is included". 50% tip??? Scam. Also, really dirty- there is literally dust accumulated on the ceiling. Pretty gross! The food was mediocre at best.

Last night I went to Boteco, I have lived in Miami for 7 years, and it was a place that I really liked, for its food, its atmosphere, the live music on the weekends, in short, everything was very good (I lived in Rio de Janeiro for 2 years) and lately every time I have gone the service apart from being expensive, has gone down in quality, but last night crossed all limits, I made a reservation, what was my surprise when I entered, that if I wanted to be in the live show, I had to pay 10 dollars, of course I said no and went to the room inside, I ordered some dishes that were not bad, but nothing special, what was my surprise when the bill arrived, they charge an outrageous % of tips, but they also charge you 3% more for paying with a credit card, in short, of the 77.90 dollars that I spent, I ended up paying 102.73 in fees, a robbery in my face, conclusion I will NOT go But to anyone who asks me, I'll say don't even think about it. It's a shame because it was a place I loved.
