Love having lunch here. The food is healthy and it tastes homemade. Also love how close it is to home.
Enjoyed food from Elia during the park's recent movie night. Great food & prices. Business supports the need for Foster parents in our county as well. Thank you!
This is a great cafe tucked into the Health District. Despite its name, the Health District lacks good quality food and service places. This is a great place, attentive service, clean nice, appealing place. If you are here on business and have 15 minutes of downtime, seek this place out.
This month we celebrated our son's 5th birthday party at Elia Cafe and I can only say that we had a pleasant and wonderful experience. The owner of the Cafe guaranteed that the birthday party was a success! He was attentive to all the details from start to finish. The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious especially the sliders! I recommend this place for any kid’s or family event. Or to spend a quiet afternoon sipping on a coffee while the kiddos play in the park.
Here’s a hidden gem worth checking out! The spicy feta spread comes with warm pita slices and is simply delicious. The Elia Signature Sandwich is equally simple and delicious. Chicken, lettuce, tomato and more spicy feta spread on white bread it’s the spot! They have a pretty extensive menu and everything seems made to order. Prices are reasonable as well. Glad I found this cafe, and I’ll definitely be back!
Amazing cafe right next to a park and playground, soccer fields and library. The food came out fast even though they had one worker and it tasted phenomenal. The kale smoothie was really good. Wraps were delicious and they have so many options for breakfast and lunch.
Nice modern, cozy Greek tendencies restaurant located at Pinecrest Community Center. Greek dishes typically contain various healthy ingredients such as olive oil, nuts, and fish, all linked to better heart health. There is also a playground for kids, so parents can ease forba moment. The library is right next to you in case you like cultural activities. It's worth the visit!
Super delicious place to get lunch. Healthy, light. Dessert was awesome. Had the cheesecake. Completely forgot to take a picture because it looked so good we dug in as soon as it hit the table. This is perfect place to have meetings and parties. They have an outdoor area that really adds value to events. The staff is friendly and helpful with the million questions we had about the menu since it was our first time there. Everything looked like a solid option so it was hard to choose. So excited that there is a hidden gem inside of Pinecrest to grab lunch during the week. Parking was easy. Will be back soon to try the key lime 🥧 pie.....
I love this place I’ve been coming here for 7 years . I love the food and the staff is amazing . I also love the fact that is so close to the gym . My fav bowl is the healthy mojo chicken bowl delicious !

Awesome hidden gem in Pinecrest neighborhood. I enjoy a latte with pastry 🥐 in the mornings, a cold glass of Chardonnay after work, and healthy eats in between. Beautiful views of outside.

Excellent place to take your kids
Beautiful Place Nice Environment all Around
Dimitris, you are an incredible chef. Your passion for making great food and caring about your customers shines through your creations. We're grateful you're a part of our community and so thankful to have you as part of our Mack Cycle family. Already looking forward to the next bite... 😉
The pastries and everything else are always fresh. Great customer service, everyone is very attentive and the atmosphere is always welcoming. I never get tired of coming here, you guys are doing a great job.
This place is amazing. I loved the food. This place has the best Greek salad in town and the best Guanabana ice cream. Will definitely comes back.
Best Greek Salad in Miami. Excellent baklava, also. Great service. Beautiful location. Easy parking.
The staff is really warm and the food is excellent. A great place to bring your kids to place outside.
Great place to grab something little while waiting for your daughter's dance class. Quiet and friendly staff

What a wonderful location-right next to the farmers market on Sundays - makes it the perfect place to go on the weekend
Great outdoor seating and food. A new favorite for mediterranean.
Beast place to eat and meet with friends in Pinecrest!
Very nice place, nice people. Good food.
Free Yoga every Sunday!! Love this place !
Beautiful new center. Great gym.
The space is so clean the food is so good, service is amazing and kind. Enjoyable for kids and families or enjoyable to work remotely they offer WiFi. Also great spot for meetings.
Thank god for this place, Pinecrest needs a community cafe that doesn't charge like Brewing Buddha and that feels relaxed. I had a spinach pie and it was great. No, I haven't tried the more expensive menu options, but if you're looking for a five star restaurant and to be wined and dined like the wealthy, then this probably isn't your place folks. It's a community cafe next to a library and it makes me happy.
The best coffee ever! I have wonderful iced cold lattes there. This place is such a wonderful spot for families. It has a happy, fun atmosphere and excellent healthy food. Families can have great meals while enjoying the community center and Pinecrest Gardens. Thank you to Melanie and all the great people there.
Today I came to by some food and drink and the service was great. And then I was more surprised that Manuel approached me because I forgot a t-shirt in the restaurant and he was very kind to do that. I think this cafe is great, and very friendly
We had the privilege of having breakfast, lunch, and refreshments catered by Elia Pinecrest at Pinecrest Community Center. The planning was easy - Dimitris was creative with the breakfast and lunch. The scrambled eggs with cheese and potatoes were with real eggs and excellent ingredients. He was on top of the details and the service was excellent. Well marinated and cooked chicken on a stick, salmon, authentic greek salad, and wraps. All 61 guests raved about the food and the location. They went bonkers over the fresh baked cookies everyday! I will certainly cater the lunches to the nearby hospitals and doctor's offices for future meetings. The pricing was very reasonable. We will definitely do this again!
Very nice snack options, I liked the desserts. The gay couple that owns and runs the place is very friendly.
Loved going here all the time with my kiddos after the playground and library. Love the coconut ice cream and am missing it so much after moving to Tampa. I’m currently trying to find the name of it so I can order some for my home. lol
We used Elia Cafe for my son’s birthday party and it was amazing. The space was perfect with the playground out back for the kids. The food was absolutely delicious and the service the staff provided made us feel at ease while hosting the party. Everyone had a great time and were amazed at the quality of everything.
The food is great, I wish the menu had pictures to know what everything means but everything I tried has been great, fresh and tasty. I got stuck in the bathroom for about 3 hours due to a malfunctioning door but they were nice and gave me a free meal for the inconvenience. Totally recommend if you are overweight and need to eat healthier.

Nice little cafe serving coffee and food with a Greek twist. There are healthy options for people who go for a run around the track or go to the gym. Good ambiance and a nice terrace right next to the playground.
OMG, can I live in Pinecrest??? The fact that this area has a place like this one, is AMAZING!!!! Impeccable, with parking around, many activities during the whole year for people of all ages, great service, indoor and outdoor areas. Simply fantastic!

Good feta pie!
Elia Café @ Calder Library is one of the only places in the UHealth District that operates with real competence. It is efficient, predictable, and grounded in the simple idea that people’s time matters. No ego, no branding campaign, no self-congratulatory nonsense. It just does its job well, every day, without demanding applause for basic functionality. That makes the contrast with UMiami Miller School of Medicine even more embarrassing. Miller leans heavily on prestige, image, and institutional branding, but too often fails at basic execution. The bureaucracy is dense, decisions move at a glacial pace, and accountability is so diluted that obvious problems can sit untouched while leadership keeps talking about excellence. The institution loves the language of performance far more than the reality of it. A small but solid example says everything: at Elia Café, you order, they prepare it, they call your name, and within minutes the transaction is done exactly as expected. Clear process, competent execution, no wasted motion. At Miller, even simple administrative tasks, schedule changes, approvals, paperwork, or getting a direct answer from the right office can turn into a slow, fragmented mess of emails, delays, handoffs, and silence. A café can manage clarity and follow-through better than a major medical school. That is not a minor irony. That is an institutional indictment. The deeper problem is cultural. Miller does not consistently reward rigor, speed, or results. It rewards hierarchy, optics, caution, and the performance of importance. People protect status instead of solving problems. Meetings replace action. Branding replaces substance. Prestige becomes a shield for underperformance. Elia Café delivers value without pretending to be a world-changing institution. Miller pretends to be exceptional while often failing to deliver basic competence. When a small campus café shows more reliability, clarity, and respect for people’s time than a major medical school, it exposes just how hollow the institution has become behind the branding, the slogans, and the inflated self-image.
Beef tip salad is pretty good
Great Spinning program, well equipped gym, good variety of classes including Body Burn. Wish they offered yoga, pilates and TRX programs.
Great smoothie, food ok ,NO mustard or mayo available? But plenty of ketchup,
Love this little cafe at the Pinecrest Community Center. I just wish it wasn't as expensive as it is.
Construction almost finished. Looks beautiful. Can't wait for fall classes to begin.

Interior is nice, food is ok it’s def better than the coffee. My iced coffee taste like burnt popcorn, service is fine, I hope management is good to them, I can only assume who is the manager doesn’t seem too happy, it’s kinda reflected in staffs morale.

I stopped by this Sunday morning for the first time for a quick bite after yoga class. Unfortunately, it was not a very good experience. I ordered an omelette wrap and a cortadito and sat in the patio. The cortadito came in right away (it'd have been much better if I had the order ready all at once), but it took 35 minutes for the omelette wrap. I have no idea what was going on but I had to go inside twice to follow up on my order. The guy making the food did not seem busy at all or in any rush to have my order ready quickly. The omelette and the cortadito were ok, I will probably give it a second chance but you certainly need to work on the service.
Very disappointed with the smoothies. They were watered down & extremely small. I wouldn’t have minded about the $8 each cost but both my daughters threw them away. $16 wasted.
The last three times I’ve tried to order here they have charged me and then cancelled my online order. When I called they told me it is because they are too busy. That’s a great way to lose customers.
good machines. clean workout areas and bathrooms. wifi is terrible.
I was surprised because today I went to Elia Café and waited more than 15 minutes for them to heat up a chicken pastry. They were only serving nine customers in a place that fits 35 (inside), meaning only a quarter of the space was occupied, and it took them 15 minutes just to heat something up, not even make it. That seemed like too much time, and I’m sorry because the place is convenient, and the staff is friendly.
This café is mediocre at best - the food is bland, the drinks watered-down, and somehow, even the smoothies taste dry. I ordered a "Very Berry Smoothie" - but don't let that trick you. It was so un-flavorful, nor would I call it a smoothie. It was a luke-warm, watered down juice-like beverage that only slightly tasted like anything that came from a plant. Even thirty minutes later, I still have the aftertaste stuck in my mouth. However, the hummus wasn't TERRIBLE. It wasn't good, though. Like everything, it was mediocre. The prices at this restaurant are way too high to justify the taste of the food and/or drinks, and the attitude of the servers doesn't add any points. For me, the only saving graces this café has is the décor and location. The furniture is very chic, and the location right by the playground is very nice.
Stopped for breakfast at 9:00, when they opened prior to a meeting at Pinecrest Library at 9:30. Ordered 3 fried eggs with toast, and coffee. It took 20 minutes to bring them, and there was literally nobody else there when I entered. The coffee wasn't served until after I finished the eggs! I asked for the coffee about 20 minutes after I ordered it, and they said they were just brewing it. The toast was just one slice, dry, and they didn't even give me a butter packet. For this, I paid $15 which included a a 15% tip that I now regret leaving.
We come to here at least twice a week because of the park and library. It's always a hit or miss with the service and food here. I try to order ahead some days due to the long wait and It's always an issue from them not answering the phone to getting my order wrong. Many times the food doesn't taste right or the same as before and I've had to throw it away. Today I was put on hold and hung up on several times to then be rudely told that they couldn't make me breakfast because it was 11 on the dot by the time they answered to take my order. I feel as if they purposely did this and told them I would be writing this review to give them a chance to make it right and was hung up on when I asked to speak to manager being told by the girl they weren't there. It's unfortunate because it's so convenient having a restaurant to eat at while children play but I will not be giving them my business anymore.

I had to wait a long time for a meat pie which was cold and a not fresh baklava.Bad customer service, and no communication. Despues de esperar un buen rato por un pie de carne y un baklava.Los dos no estaban frescos y el pie completamente frio. Muy mal servicio al cliente, y nada de comunicacion.
Tried to go in today, and I was walking up Café worker was locking door 10 minutes before closing time listed online/storefront. Did not even try to ask if what I may have wanted was something quick, like a bottle of water.
I was so excited to hear about this place. However, after reading the reviews, I doubt I’ll try it. I am amazed by the rude responses from the owner. Total turn off!
Expensive and slow, packaged pastries were not good for human consumption.
Unfortunately a c not working for music class today, how can you put together a group of 50 people with little children without a c, gov't at it's best 😤😤
Not worth the time an energy to write a review! Would never return!
Walked in on Friday at 4:20 famished and with a cranky 2 year old wanting a smoothie. No hello, how can I help you, just a worker saying, "Closed." Hours on Google said open until 6p. The menu looked good, we were just hoping to get some smoothies. My son and I went back to the playground 30 min later and the same worker came up to me aggressively speaking in Spanish. Since we obviously didn't understand each other, I told him I have nothing to say to him since he doesn't understand any English so I'm not sure how he would have taken our orders anyway even if they were open. Another mom sitting at the playground confirmed the same experience when she tried to order a salad. Do better. Educate your workers for customer service. Lock the doors if you're closed or update your hours. It's never ok to harass a customer.
The ambiance was lovely. I wanted to try a few things on the menu. Too bad the cashier was too busy serving people who walked in the door and cut in line. We were literally up next when this happened. They chatted as though these customers were regulars. As my husband and I waited, this happened twice. So we left. Outdoor seating area was nice. Assortment of teas were lovely too ( I managed to see them over the shoulder of the people who pretended we were invisible)
I’m all about supporting small businesses, but business has to be earned and customer service is the foundation and tell of a good business. This cafe unfortunately for me and my party left a very poor first impression based on the rudeness and apathy from staff after making us wait 45 minutes for an uncooked rice bowl. Then continued to make things worse by getting defensive at the customer when the order was missing the protein. See below for the owner’s demeanor over this one review. This is not how a small business should treat customers when there is a mistake. Cannot recommend. It seems they haven’t yet realized that valuing patronage comes first from valuing each and every patron. At least there are many other wonderful businesses nearby to support. Daily Bread Carrot Express Wayside Market Crema French bakery
The service here is horrendous. I bought 2 macarons and they gave it to me in a bag that had a slit on the side which I was unaware of. I was juggling my daughter, a bottle of water I also purchased and putting my credit card away because there was a long line and the macarons slipped out the side of the bag. They made me buy 2 more saying “that’s why I handed the bag to you upright “ A warning would have been nice! Anywhere else would have just given me 2 other macarons. You lost a customer and I will never recommend this place. The only reason why I bought 2 more was because my daughter wanted it but I would never step foot back into this place even though I am in the building multiple times a week. The macarons were also very dry! Appalled by your response. They didn’t fall out because my hands were full they fell because of the slit on the side. A little grace shown because of the fact that my hands were full and I had an accident while turning back to see where my daughter ran off to would have been appreciated. A little kindness goes a long way but being blamed by the server standing there with his arms crossed because I wasn’t aware of the slit on the side is just unbelievable.
Disappointed with the shake with vegan protein. Yesterday I ordered a vegan protein shake and it was basically undrinkable due to poor flavor. The “base shake” was $8 and the additional protein was another $4. Making this, hands down, the lowest value shake I think I have ever ordered. When I approached the employee to complain about the flavor, they said “that’s what you ordered, there’s nothing I can do”. Definitely will not be returning. Update: please read the owners response when faced with criticism about their product. Very unprofessional and childish
Worst service ever! EVER!!!! Waited if we an hour an half for 3 kids pizza. When we asked what was taking so long the person in the register said I can go behind the counter and help. He was beyond rude. The pizza finally came out cold.
Elia Cafe is unfortunately a disappointing addition to Pinecrest Community Center. Think about it as the only option you have after a Gym. The traffic is there, no competition so they really don't worry to offer excellent food and service. Better put, think about this place as the restaurant of a hospital you "have to go" when you happen to be there, not a restaurant you want to go. You just go there because of convenience. Prices are not cheap, and that wouldn't be a problem if food was good. I really really wanted this place to be awesome, as me and my family visit the center often. The food is bland, not bad or inedible, but bland. Not a place that you are craving to come back. Sandwiches are made with regular "Wonder bread" (not the Paninis, these are made with other type of bread) veggies in salads are not super fresh; I got a ripe blackish avocado last time, falafel tasted like a 2y old cookie, granola in the breakfast bowl is unexciting. In general the food here is mediocre. Also, the chef / owner of this place is hyper rude. I've seen him interact with other customers and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Just take a look at his responses to other reviews. I wouldn't dare to bring my disappointment to him based on what the above. I just prefer not to come back. So my recommendation? Do yourself a favor and skip this place, go somewhere else nearby like Wayside Fruit & Vegetable or Raw South Juice Company if you are in the mood for a smoothie, salad or lunch in general.
The much anticipated Cafè at pinecrest community leaves us waiting for a new one already. Food is excessively expensive for the portions they give and Service is poor. You ask for Spaghetti you’ll recieve it stone cold. A $4 portion for $6. It may be for kids but even kids will go hungry trying to munch on barely cooked noodles. Prices wouldn’t be a big issue if the food was at least good. However the food is beyond terrible If you ever wanted to know what Smoke would taste like if it made a transition from gas to a Liquid then look no further than the coffee at Elias Cafe. Drink at your own Risk. I didn’t want to write a bad review until I was sure the Cafe was actually bad and it wasn’t just one employee that gets orders wrong. However after multiple visits and being served by multiple employees i can leave this part of the review. If you come to ellias Cafe expect them to get your order wrong 80% of the time Heres an example Did you want a Warmed up Buttered Crossaint? Expect to be asked to clarify your order more than once. They will ring you up at the cashier and after the transaction is done they ask you again what you wanted because they either forgot or were not listening. Once you finally get that crossaint it will either be really stiff, cold, have no butter or they put in peanut butter instead. So all that repetition went down the drain. It’s a really good location for a cafe theres a library and a park. Not to Mention it’s in a community center. Just don’t buy anything.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands-down one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. To start, my salad came topped with what can only be described as rotten avocado—it was brown, mushy, and completely inedible. As if that wasn’t bad enough, their smoothies are just as disappointing: bland, watery, and definitely not worth the price. To top off this unpleasant experience, another customer accidentally knocked over my freshly served orange juice. I understand accidents happen, but I was shocked that the owner did nothing to compensate me, despite me politely asking. No offer for a new drink, no apology—just a shrug and dismissal. Save your time, money, and taste buds—go somewhere that actually cares about food quality and customer service. This place is only here for the convenience! **UPDATE** It is a shame that you have to call a loyal customer a liar. Someone that has been coming and buying your overpriced products the last couple years and coming 3-4 times a week. Someone that has brought business to your establishment by meeting with family friends for lunch and introducing this cafe to others. YES, I did have a a salad with rotten avocado the last time i ordered here which was last week and NO i did not order a smoothie this time because every time I do, i am very disappointed and end up throwing it out. The orange juice fell because your establishment is extremely cramped with people during after school hours and was knocked out by a kid and their mom walking by. It is a shame you know nothing about customer service or customer loyalty. Instead you have too much pride and are very rude.
I got a greek salad and apart from the portion being way too small, flavor was pretty blah. And it cost me 20 bucks.
