Avis sur Maple & Ash Miami
Last night I had the pleasure of dining at maple & ash Miami for my birthday and want to express my gratitude for turning a bad night into a great one. Already experiencing the hospitality of the maple & ash Chicago my expectations were high and they did not disappoint. My evening did not start off the best with me being visibly upset about my birthday plans but the staff made me feel 100% better by the time I left - from the beautiful bartender Vivian, our server Alexander, Chef Sol & Chef Joe (my Gemini twin!) & the entire staff your hospitality has left a mark on me. Thank you for being so kind and showering me with love. The ambiance, service and food were outstanding. Every step of service was met. Every dish uniquely different and flavorful. I could go on and on but will make it short - thank you again for making my birthday special & one to remember!
Went for my brothers birthday and it was just like hone in Chicago at one of the other locations. Was nice to have a taste of home here in Miami and also being one of my favorite restaurants. The Pork Chops that I got were amazing, filet was perfect, asparagus and au grauten potatoes are to die for. Desert was spectacular! If you are looking for a perfect meal with an AMAZING staff, look no further then Maple and Ash! Oh and the atmosphere is SPOT ON with elegance and excitement! Will see you again really soon!
From the moment you walk in, you feel at home with the amazing hospitality of the entire staff. We were greeted by Joe who was charming and intentional as he escorted us to the hostess stand. The hostess’ greeted us with welcoming smiles and brought us to our table, the wait staff and assistants down to the food and drink runners were all attentive and outgoing and make you feel welcome. Everything we ate was truly phenomenal down to the bread loaf - the visit was nothing short of amazing and I am grateful I got the opportunity to dine here. The pillows of love are to die for- must try and the chocolate cake is a must- will be going back again! Thank you for a great dining experience!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing experience at Maple & Ash Miami celebrating my wife’s birthday. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Joshua, our server, did an outstanding job taking care of us—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. One of the highlights of the night was the incredible attention to detail: the team surprised us with a custom printed menu with my wife’s name on it, which truly made the evening feel special and personal. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and hospitable. The food was excellent across the board, and the atmosphere was upscale yet comfortable—perfect for a celebration. Maple & Ash went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday memorable. We’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend it for any special occasion.
I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Maple & Ash twice—once for the grand opening and again on a random weekend night. Both experiences reinforced my belief that this is THE steakhouse to beat in Miami. From the food and service to the cocktails, decor, and even the pricing (a rarity in Miami), everything was spot on. Food The food is, simply put, outstanding. I’ve tried the octopus, Caesar salad, meatballs, steak tartare, bone-in ribeye, regular ribeye, scallops, mushrooms, potatoes gratin, whipped butter potatoes, asparagus, bone marrow, and spinach. Not a single dish disappointed—every bite was executed to perfection. Portions were just right, and the flavors were consistently on point. Service The service was among the best I’ve experienced in Miami. From the bartenders to the waitstaff to the management, everyone was genuinely warm and attentive. It’s clear they prioritize the guest experience, making you feel valued rather than just another table to turn. Ambiance The decor strikes the perfect balance between modern and classic—elegant without being over-the-top. On both visits, the bar was buzzing with a well-dressed, sophisticated crowd. It seemed to attract a mix of locals and visitors, including some older guests from Boca, Coral Gables, and Coconut Grove. Final Thoughts There’s not much more to say other than go. Maple & Ash delivers on every front, and I already can’t wait to return.
I recently had the pleasure of dinning at the newly opened Maple & Ash in Miami, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet lively, making it perfect for a memorable night out. The service was excellent—attentive without being intrusive—and the food? Truly exceptional. My favorite dish was a beef Wagyu carpaccio, paired with Alaskan king crab and caviar, served with brioche toast. It was a beautifully decadent combination that felt like a luxurious twist on a seafood tower, without leaving you so full, you still have room for a steak. Maple & Ash has certainly made its mark on Miami's dining scene, and I look forward to returning to explore more of their creative menu. I recommend.
Maple & Ash Miami exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and luxurious. The service was impeccable — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish was a masterpiece, but the seafood tower and perfectly cooked steak were true standouts. The cocktails were expertly crafted, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just indulging in a night out, Maple & Ash is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!
Mike W. Was the best server in Miami. The food was 10/10 but what stuck out most was the impeccable customer service by Mike. He took great care of my girlfriend and I as we were celebrating a late Valentine’s Day dinner. From the moment we sat down to the moment we walked out, Mike made sure we were well taken care of. There were a few items Mike recommended such as the love pillows and we were on the fence, so he gave us a small sample size on the house. Also, crafting our plates for us with our salad. He had went above and beyond for us throughout the night and made for a wonderful experience for us. A night to remember. Was up front that gratuity was included too, I feel many restaurants are sneaky about that, but he was upfront which we respected. 20% wasn’t enough for the tip, Mike deserved at least 40%. Whichever manager is maybe reading this, give him a raise or at least a pat on the back, he will make this restaurant a lot of money.
Hands down the best food/steak I’ve had in a very long time! Service was unmatched! Our waiter went above and beyond! Drinks were very refreshing and unique! Every item that we had was superb! The steak was cooked to perfection and extremely flavorful! The baked and loaded potatoes were a dish like none other! Every time I’m in Miami I will definitely eat here!
Come here immediately. Absolutely superb dining experience all around. For starters, ask for Gus as he’s the best server in the restaurant, along with Derek who is the best manager hands down. Customer service with them both is second to none, as is the food. Our favorites are the seafood tower, ribeye, and build your own sundae. There are no bad options here. Between the ambiance, service, and food- you are surely in for a great. Come here ASAP!
Maple & Ash is a brilliant addition to the Miami luxury dining scene. Unlike many other destination restaurants in the city, it delivers excellence from the very start. The unassuming entry leads to a sleek stainless steel elevator, building anticipation for an exclusive, intimate dining experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at the concierge desk, where they confirmed our reservation( celebrating my 50th birthday) and personally escorted us into the bar area. The atmosphere was immediately striking. Dark wood, soft candlelight, and a design that would make Frank Lloyd Wright proud. Clean lines, rich cherry or mahogany woodwork, steel hardware, and extremely comfortable barstools set the tone for an elevated yet inviting experience. We settled in at the bar for our meal. In Chicago, Maple & Ash offers guests a mini amuse of a craft cocktail to “wet the palate.” Miami took it a step further. I don’t drink alcohol (didn't mention at booking), yet they somehow knew. Instead of a cocktail, they surprised me with shots of caviar. That kind of thoughtful, personalized touch leaves a lasting impression. The rest of the meal was flawless. Charred shellfish tower, more caviar, a perfectly cooked New York strip, and indulgent sides. And then came the finale—the “Sunday” sundae, deconstructed. Three scoops of ice cream, ten different toppings, and two warm sauces, all served on the side. It’s pure childhood joy, reimagined for grown-ups. Do yourself—your date, client, or family—a favor. Take them here. You will not be disappointed! 10 out of 10 Stars⭐️
Absolutely absolutely divine, service was spectacular, drinks on point, food was literally to die for, they start you off with a cute little welcome cocktail as a compliment and it really just set the mood for the evening, probably the best dinner I have ever eaten and with it being at a higher price point I have no regrets or feel like I wasted money, their steaks are tender and cooked to perfection, carpaccio was hands down best I have ever tasted, and the table side dessert flambé was chef’s kiss, I am so happy this gem is in walking distance from my apartment! From someone that has been in the industry for 10 years and managed in restaurants, maple & ash hits every mark from service, to food and beverage, everything was absolutely absolutely incredible
Absolutely amazing experience. Mike our waiter was great. He recommend a ton of great items. One of the managers Derek came by and made sure everything was perfect. The experience was just as good as the Chicago restaurant. We loved it so much we are going back this weekend again. Also the dress code was expressed multiple times the moment you put a reservation. So the people giving this restaurant a bad review for that are pathetic. They literally warn you multiple times. Either way great experience!! Highly recommend it!
I came in to Maple & Ash to celebrate my birthday, and Justin truly went above and beyond to make it special. From the moment we sat down, it was clear he’s an expert in fine dining—not just in knowledge of the menu, but in understanding what great hospitality actually looks like. Justin was attentive without hovering, confident without being pushy, and incredibly thoughtful in anticipating what we needed before we even asked. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made the entire experience feel elevated and effortless. It’s rare to come across service that feels both polished and genuinely personal. Justin is the kind of professional who turns a great restaurant into a memorable experience. Because of him, my birthday dinner was exceptional. I’ll absolutely be back—and I hope to be seated in his section again. Ps I’m coming back tonight
Here’s the corrected version with proper punctuation and slight grammar adjustments for clarity and flow: --- Had the most amazing experience with my partner. From the reservation process to the end of the dinner, everything was smooth. All thanks to Jonathan, who made my vision come to life. The service was top-notch, the food and overall experience were amazing — definitely one for the books. This was my second time, and I will be coming back with more friends and family.
I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Maple & Ash twice—once at the Chicago location and once at this Miami location. Both experiences reinforced my belief that Maple & Ash is phenomenal. The food, the service, the decor, and the cocktails… chefs kiss. It was well worth the price (added receipt for awareness of what the total cost could be between five ladies… our group was bigger but five of us split one check). Maple & Ash Miami exceeded all expectations. I went in with the idea that it would be as good, or better than the one in Chicago. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and luxurious. I was in disbelief of how beautiful it was. The service was impeccable — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming- they even waited on us because a few of the ladies were late. Traffic in Miami can be wild and unpredictable. Every dish was a masterpiece. The cocktails were expertly crafted, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just indulging in a night out, Maple & Ash is a must-visit. We were there to celebrate a friends’ farewell before she moved out of the country. The service truly prioritized the guest experience. The decor is the perfect balance between modern and classic—elegant without being over-the-top. It was perfect for a ladies night out, and I’m sure it is perfect for a romantic date night.
This restaurant was such a great vibe! I took my bestie for his birthday and the service was incredible. We had a bunch of apps, the steak is cooked to perfection and the dessert is tasty and interactive! Look this place is pricey, but you are coming here to have an great vibe, calm and classy atmosphere, fantastic service and a good food.
From the moment we sat down, the experience at Maple & Ash Miami was nothing short of exceptional. Our server Josh set the tone for the night—personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about guiding us through the evening. We started with the grilled shellfish tower on Josh’s recommendation. While I personally would have enjoyed it served a bit hotter and with a lighter hand on the sauce, the flavor was still spot-on—rich, bold, and satisfying. A surprise highlight was when the Chef himself came out to greet us and brought fresh bread to soak up the remaining sauce, calling it his favorite dish on the menu. That added a really personal and memorable touch. Another standout was the secret off-menu item: fresh pasta and butter, served as a clever addition to pair with the shellfish sauce—unexpected and absolutely delicious. The Australian Wagyu New York strip (dry-aged) came out beautifully prepared with a complementary sauce that didn’t overpower the quality of the meat. Perfectly cooked and generously portioned, it was a true indulgence. We also enjoyed a ravioli dish during our kitchen tour, which was another strong showing from the culinary team—delicate pasta, balanced flavors, and a lovely presentation. We were lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchen, which only deepened our appreciation for the craft and energy behind the scenes. The kitchen team was on point all night, and the overall hospitality was phenomenal from start to finish. In short: this was a high-touch, high-impact dining experience. Maple & Ash Miami brought the fire (literally and figuratively), and I left feeling well-fed and well cared for. Special thanks to Josh and the entire team for making the night one to remember.
My husband and I are currently on vacation in Miami for my birthday. We're originally from Chicago, and have gone to the Chicago location many times, so we decided to try this location out, and let me say it did not disappoint! Our server, Chelsea, was so incredibly sweet, accommodating, and very attentive. Our drinks were great, the food was fantastic, and the service from everyone was impeccable! Jen, who I believe was the manager, was also great! She was walking by our table and noticed we were about to serve ourselves some of our sides, and she offered to do it with no hesitation! As great as the Chicago location is, no one has offered to do that for us before, especially a manager, and for me, it’s those little things that mean a lot to me. Whenever we’re back in Miami, which will hopefully be very soon, Maple and Ash will definitely one of the places we come back to.
We had a brunch on Mother’s Day. I , definitely, felt special during all time while there. Great atmosphere and luxurious feeling. Beautiful design and comfortable lighting. A lot of candles. Food was beyond expectations! We had amazing time and definitely planning to return for a special occasion!
We had an amazing experience at Maple & Ash and it was the perfect way to kick off our weekend. We arrived early for our reservation and were invited to start the evening at their speakeasy-style lounge, The Studio. The atmosphere there was intimate, stylish, and exactly what you’d expect from a great night in Miami—an ideal place to ease into the evening with cocktails before dinner. Once seated in the main dining room, the experience only got better. The service was excellent—attentive, polished, and well-paced despite how busy the restaurant was that night. It was clearly a celebratory, high-energy evening, yet we never felt rushed. Every dish was outstanding. We started with the lobster dumplings, followed by the roasted bone marrow, pull-apart bread service, and Wagyu beef carpaccio, all of which were beautifully executed. The ribeye, paired with both béarnaise and au poivre sauces, was rich, deeply flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sides complemented the meal seamlessly. What stood out most was how well the courses flowed—each dish bridged into the next effortlessly, creating a cohesive and memorable dining experience. Everything was truly melt-in-your-mouth, from start to finish. Maple & Ash delivers on food, atmosphere, and service. It’s a high-quality steakhouse and an excellent choice for anyone visiting Miami or looking for an elevated dining experience. Highly recommended.
The interior design is absolutely stunning. It’s dark, sexy, and filled with real candles that create an incredible atmosphere - very moody, elegant, and simply wow. The service was amazing. Our server, Nelson, was friendly, attentive, and we had zero issues - quite the opposite. Everything felt effortless, and we truly enjoyed the experience. I’m very picky when it comes to food, but for me the food was a solid 10/10. The octopus was completely different from any I’ve tried before, the three-color fish was excellent, the hand-cut frites with rosemary, parmesan, and garlic aioli were perfect, and the pasta - Ricotta Agnolotti & Winter Truffle - was absolutely amazing. We still had room for dessert and ordered the chocolate cake. There were only two of us, and when it arrived, I was honestly impressed by the size and somehow, we still finished it
Let’s start with the phenomenal Service from Gus. Not only did he make this experience so magical he made the experience delicious with his amazing recommendations. I was very surprised by the food. It was 11/10 . Atmosphere is very romantic the food left me in a happy coma. I will definitely be back and will be asking for Gus. He was pure joy. Maple & Ash you are doing it right
We came here for an early Valentine’s Day dinner & I am so happy we did! Not only was everything cooked to perfection but our waiter as absolutely fantastic. He was attentive, kind & very knowledgeable, I recommend everyone to ask for Gus the next time they visit this restaurant. We have oysters & lobster dumplings to start, the bone in ribeye (to die for) with potatoes au gratin and the pillows of love for our entree. Come here for your next date night! Oh & ask for Gus!
This place is a VIBE! Just hanging and grabbing a drink is worth it but you SHOULD EAT!! The food here is spectacular. The presentation, speed and attention of the staff is top tier. We ate so many different foods and couldn’t find one to hate on. The price is a little high for a weekly visit but definitely should be on your NEED TO TRY list. My only complaint is that it tends to get loud at later times in the night but it’s a part of the experience at popular places with lots of movement.
Maple & Ash is an EXPERIENCE, not just a restaurant. From the moment you walk in, the vibe, the energy, the food—everything is top tier. But what truly made the night unforgettable was Jonathan. He is everything you want in hospitality and more. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely made us feel like VIPs the entire night. His recommendations were flawless, the timing was perfect, and his energy elevated the whole experience. The food? Unreal. Perfectly executed, indulgent, and worth every bite. Maple & Ash already sets the bar high, but Jonathan takes it to another level. If you’re dining here, ask for him—you’ll thank me later. Can’t wait to come back✨
Went to Maple & Ash for a girls’ night out to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and it was phenomenal. There wasn’t a dish we didn’t love, and the service was truly impeccable. Aesthetically, the space gives elevated speakeasy vibes — very upscale Miami if you ask me. Yes, the food is on the pricier side, but you’re absolutely paying for quality. Highlights for me: the lychee martini, my filet mignon cooked to absolute perfection, and the beef carpaccio topped with both caviar and crab leg bites — so decadent and so worth it. The mushroom and mashed potato sides were my personal favorites, rich and flavorful. For dessert, we went with the chocolate soufflé (which was good, though not the star of the night) and an espresso martini that was the perfect nightcap. Can’t wait to go back — it’s definitely a spot for a special night out.
Do yourself a big favor; make a reservation, put on something fancy and treat yourself to a culinary adventure. Maple & Ash knows what they are doing. Well appointed atmosphere, top notch professional service and some of the finest cocktails & victuals in town. When you walk in you are greeted & treated like a special guest. We had a delicious cocktail at the bar before taking a seat in our lux booth. Once settled in we grabbed a bottle of bubbles to sip while we perused a wine list thicker than an old school phone book. With a few caviar bumps we were ready to tackle course after course of decadent dishes and deliciously filthy wines. This place is great for ordering several dishes and sharing amongst your table. A very special thank you to the management for making our family visit special. They took very good care of us, and even gave us a menu with a custom message as a keepsake.
We all know that the food scene in Miami is fantastic, but what sets Maple & Ash apart is their hospitality. Truly a positive experience from beginning to end. Everyone we encountered was pleasant, upbeat and provided great service. The welcome cocktail was a nice touch and all of the food was top notch. The tuna tartare was a delicious bite. The grouper was perfectly cooked. The asparagus came with a citrus almond topping which was fantastic. Kelly and Beatrice were amazing and took great care of us. Will definitely be visiting again the next time we’re in town!
This place blew my socks off. Wow wow wow. The filet cuts like butter! The Mac and cheese was out of this world. The service is absolutely phenomenal. We were treated with house cocktails and appetizers. Our sever Gaby was perfect. But also the whole staff was welcoming and excited to work here. Cocktails, amazing. Steaks, amazing. Sides, amazing. Thank you for this experience!!!
I recently dined at Maple & Ash Miami, and it was an absolutely stellar experience. The food was outstanding—every dish was crafted to perfection, especially the seafood selection, which was a solid 10 out of 10. The service was top-tier, and the cocktails were A1. The standout dishes? The Grouper and the Branzino—absolutely a must-have. Cooked to perfection, they’re bursting with flavor and elegantly presented. If you’re with another, do yourself a favor and get the “à La” experience. A special shout-out to Chef Chad, who personally came out and greeted us. Being my first time at Maple & Ash Miami, that personal touch made the evening even more memorable. It’s definitely a must-visit spot in Miami & I will definitely be attending again !
Absolutely stunning evening! From the starter to finish, the service was impeccable. Special shoutout to Jonathan at the host stand, he took care of us the entire night and made this the most memorable experience with the best recommendations! Will 100% be back and will visit other locations as well, couldn’t recommend it more! Thank you so much for an incredible experience
I came here with a girlfriend for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by both the food and service. I knew it was a newer restaurant to Miami which sometimes means it can be rough around the edges but Maple & Ash delivered. Everyone was pleasant that we encountered, we weren’t rushed through the dining experience, and we really got to enjoy a great meal. We split multiple items which is recommended as portions are good size. The steak was cooked perfectly. Don’t sleep on their mashed potatoes. And definitely save room for dessert, a lot of room.

Everything we ate was truly phenomenal down to the bread loaf - the visit was nothing short of amazing and I am grateful I got the opportunity to dine here. The pillows of love are to die for- must try and the chocolate cake is a must- will be going back again! Thank you for a great dining experience!
Jackson was our server and was excellent in explaining menu items and giving us updates on our dish wait times. I highly recommend the pillows of love pasta. don’t be shy when they ask if you’re here for a special event, they will bring out a personalized giant congrats card for you.
Wonderful place with spectacular decor. The food was terrific beyond expectations. Our server James went out of his way to make my wife's bday special and give us an overall great experience. We would easily eat there again.
I’ve been to Maple & Ash twice, and both experiences completely blew me away. The quality of the food is exceptional, and the ambience is fun, sexy, and vibrant. It’s perfect for date night, girls’ night, or entertaining out-of-town guests. It gives full-on sexy Miami vibes. This restaurant is definitely expensive, so be prepared for that, but the quality of the food truly matches the price point. We also had exceptional service both times. The waiters are incredibly attentive and know the menu like the back of their hands. After dinner, I’ve been to the speakeasy in the back for cocktails and absolutely loved that vibe as well. It’s a great way to end the night. Highly recommend.
1st visit on Mother’s Day for dinner to this oh so fancy restaurant. I was immediately impressed by the aesthetic of the restaurant. The chandeliers and candelabras were so nice. I was too impressed with the complimentary cocktail/mocktail & the house made chips & onion dip with caviar. ‘Twas my first time having caviar. The appetizers were yummy, lobster dumplings & black prawn cocktail. The fries & sauteed spinach sides were really good. I was not a fan of my fish dish (don’t recall the name). Not the portion size or the taste. Next time I’ll stick to branzino. My dudes all enjoyed their steaks. Service was impeccable!
Stunning Food, Hostile Management The food was excellent—the Tomahawk steak, oysters, mushrooms and hamachi were perfection. However, the service was a disaster. While we stepped away for a moment (restroom), the staff cleared our table, including unfinished plates of expensive food. When we addressed this with the manager, Paulo, he was incredibly rude, flatly stating he "wouldn't listen" to us. To make matters more confusing, after this hostile encounter, a waiter dropped off four glasses of wine we hadn't asked for—presumably a silent apology that the manager refused to give. It is a shame that a high-quality menu is overshadowed by Paulo’s lack of professionalism. Great steak isn't worth being barked at. Note: if you aren't finished with your meal, do not leave the table. Funny but not funny.
Upon walking in you’re greeted with a welcome drink and appetizer which was very appreciated , however it all quickly went downhill from there. Prob #1 They sat us at a cramped two top table. We were literally on top of the table next to us and the table its self was oddly long so I couldn’t have a proper conversation with my husband who was sitting right across from me. My husband did request if they could move us to one of the empty four tops to which we were denied, which is fine. BUT, ten minutes after sitting , they sat another couple at the two top next to us and when that couple asked to be moved, they moved them to an empty four top. Kinda unfair to us and the other two tops . Prob #2 We had looked at the menu prior to going and had friends that have eaten here before give us recs so we came prepared and ordered pretty much right away. The drinks took 30 minutes …. (Even though the table that was sitting next to us got their drinks within ten minutes of being seated and came AFTER us) The appetizer took 40 minutes…. Prob#3 which isn’t really a problem, it’s just not the service I expected. The waitress recommended they bring the bread service ( which is paid for, not free ) with the pasta which we said “sure sounds great” to. It was brought out with appetizers , sent back, then brought out again with second round of appetizers lol so I just gave up and accepted it at that point. Prob #4 in our tiny two top area, there were two girls who were also at a two top who were clearly DRUNK out of their minds , one of which made her way to the bathroom and hung out there clearly incoherent to the point that I had to ask her if she was okay three times. Prob#5 at said bathroom mentioned above, it was disgusting ! I couldn’t believe the mess that was in there , not what you would expect at a fine dining establishment. And even worse, I’m ashamed that the women’s bathroom, was in that shape… considering we are LADIES. How a lady treated the bathroom like that is beyond me. (More appalled at the woman that created that mess than the restaurant itself) Prob#6 we had to hunt down our waitress for the dessert options and then again for the bill. Last but not least , the dress code. They made it clear in a text message like twice that they have a strict policy, but they didn’t really adhere to it . Now on to a more positive note the food is outstanding ! I really have no complaints there. I did go on a Thursday so maybe they were understaffed ? As for food must haves are the wagyu carpaccio, tuna tartare, lobster dumplings, hamachi crudo, one of their steaks, pillows of love. Their drinks were also really good ! They do also do a great job of cleaning the table and changing the plates after each course . The restaurant itself is beautiful , the decor is top notch, they have beautiful candelabras with real candles . That being said, even though my service and experience was okay that day, I’ve had friends go on a weekend and say it was amazing and the service was on point. I would probably go again on the weekend this time to see if the experience changes because like I said earlier the food really was amazing.
Below please find some of my thoughts regarding our experience at Maple & Ash Miami The restaurant exudes a captivating ambiance and is a welcoming addition to our neighborhood as residents of Downtown. The meatball appetizer was the standout dish of the evening. While the lobster dumplings were neither hot nor cold, they were excessively salty. The New York strip and branzino were also served at room temperature and exhibited a pronounced saltiness. The loaded potatoes failed to meet our expectations in terms of appearance and taste. Moving on to our desserts, we opted for the chocolate soufflé, but it lacked flavor. We should have opted for the chocolate cake that our waiter initially recommended. The service was satisfactory, but it did not meet the high standards expected for a restaurant of this caliber. For instance, when we ordered another round of grey goose dirty martinis with blue cheese olives, they were served without any blue cheese olives, and our waiter failed to notice or address this oversight. Furthermore, we found it pretentious and tacky that the majority of other patrons were using selfie lights to record every moment of their dining experience, right next to our table. While I have always heard positive reviews about Maple & Ash in Chicago, it is possible that this was an off night, and it may take time for the establishment to establish its reputation as a five-star restaurant offering exceptional service and delectable cuisine.
So tonight was my first time dining at Maple & Ash, and here is my honest review. We started at the bar for drinks, but the bartender was standoffish and it took a while to get her attention. Once seated, there was another delay before our waitress came over, and we had to ask someone to send her to our table. When she did arrive, she was very friendly and personable. For appetizers, we had the lobster dumplings, which were just okay, and the French dip that our waitress suggested, which was amazing. The oysters on the half shell were excellent, and the Maple & Ash wedge salad was outstanding. Our waitress suggested splitting the salad and serving the bacon on the side since I do not eat pork, but the salad arrived neither divided nor with the bacon on the side. The Golden Kaluga caviar was absolutely delicious, and my Mediterranean branzino was a 10 out of 10. Dessert was the flambé, which was incredible, though next time I would ask for less rum. Overall, the food was outstanding and lived up to the hype. While our server was sweet and had a great personality, the lack of attentiveness made the experience less enjoyable. With better service, this would have been an exceptional dining experience.
Dear readers, I’d like to share my recent dining experience at Maple & Ash in Miami. The atmosphere is excellent and the kitchen is operating at a very high level. Overall, the food quality is outstanding and the evening could have easily been a five-star experience. The carpaccio was exceptional — perfectly balanced, delicate, and memorable. Huge respect to the chefs for such a refined and thoughtful dish. The beef tartare was decent, though not the strongest I’ve had. Personally, I would have preferred crispier bruschetta to better complement the texture. The crab/lobster dumplings were creative and enjoyable, especially with the added sauce that shifted the flavor profile while eating. The tomahawk steak was cooked exactly as requested, beautifully presented, and done right. Unfortunately, the reason this restaurant did not receive all five stars comes down to our waiter. From a visual and performative standpoint, he clearly knows how to create a show. His tattoos added character, and the way he approached the table — stirring a cocktail, slightly spilling it, and inviting everyone to start — looked stylish and entertaining. However, beyond the performance, the professionalism simply wasn’t there. Basic requests were handled poorly, and guest comfort felt secondary to personal ego. This was especially surprising considering our dinner for three exceeded $500 without alcohol, as we intentionally chose not to drink that evening. At this level, service should be attentive, respectful, and focused on the guest — regardless of alcohol consumption. Because of this, the waiter unintentionally became the “star” of the evening — but not in a positive way. His approach ultimately prevented what could have been a flawless five-star experience. That said, the management team was excellent — attentive, respectful, and genuinely professional. They clearly understand hospitality and represent the restaurant very well. Overall: Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kitchen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service (waiter) ⭐ P.S. Special thanks to the hostesses — they personally walked me to the restroom instead of just pointing the way. With the complex layout and many mirrors, this level of care really stood out.

The food was genuinely good, and our waitress was attentive — we truly appreciated that. However, the seating experience left a lot to be desired. Despite several open tables, my husband and I were placed at one of the least favorable ones. We enjoy dining out and we believe every guest should feel welcomed with the same level of care. As minorities, we couldn’t help but notice a contrast in how other guests were accommodated. We sincerely hope this was not intentional, but it did affect the overall feeling of the evening. Great food and good service deserve to be matched with thoughtful seating. With more attention to fairness and guest comfort, this could easily become a top-tier experience.
Went back some months later with the family to celebrate, after the initial craze to see how it held up. I was greeted with flies in my drink (35$ plus tip) and flies in the steak (couldn’t include the picture, because it was a movie of it moving around) the Caesar salad also was very tiny for the price, and it was wilted lettuce grilled… the management also seemed like they didn’t want to deal with me when I brought up the complaints to the server ( Justin) Justin was the only saving grace for the night.
I was very excited to come celebrate my husband’s birthday here. We had a booked reservation @ 8 pm. As soon as we checked in they told us to wait by the bar that we will be seated shortly. We are celebrating with another couple 3 rounds later I went to the front and asked when we would be seated ? The host told me to have a glass of champagne that we would be seen soon…we were seated at 9:28 pm almost 1.5 hours waiting at the bar. The service wasn’t the best. Our server took our drink order and we never saw her again. We ordered the tomahawk steak and it was cooked medium well - well done which was not what we requested. The meatballs & salad were OK. The lobster pasta & truffle pastas did not meet my expectations. Over all I give those place 2/10. Long wait time, service not the best, food average. Over 1 K spent and this restaurant did not meet our expectations. Stay home and have your man cook you a good steak Medium rare on the grill, you won’t be disappointed!
We chose this restaurant to celebrate my mother’s birthday with great excitement, but unfortunately our experience did not meet expectations. First, I tried calling the restaurant multiple times prior to our reservation to provide additional instructions, but no one answered. For a restaurant that aims to project a certain level of excellence, pre-reservation customer service is essential. Second, the wait time was excessive. It took a very long time for our food to arrive, which affected the flow of the celebration and the overall experience. Additionally, I ordered the branzino, and after approximately 20 minutes, the server returned to inform me that it was sold out. I was offered a Spanish Dover sole instead, which turned out to be a very simple dish and not at the level one would expect from a restaurant positioning itself as upscale. Throughout the evening, the service was disappointing. There was a noticeable lack of attentiveness, follow-up, and proper etiquette. On such a special occasion, one expects a more professional and polished level of service. Lastly, I had prepaid for my mother’s birthday cake online in advance to make it a special surprise. However, the server imprudently asked in front of her whether we were planning to order a cake for the birthday guest, completely ruining the surprise. It is unfortunate, as the restaurant has potential, but significant improvements are needed in service, timing, and attention to detail to meet the standard they aim to represent.
This was my second time to this restaurant location, first time was after they opened and it was amazing. This time it was for my birthday and my husband thought it would be great to go back even though we have seen online the review rating go down( with good reason) . We got there and hostess were sweethearts and very welcoming . We sat down and that’s where it all went to down , our waiter came name Zafar and he was so unfriendly & unpleasant . He asked my husband what he wanted to drink instead of me even though it’s proper to ask ladies first. After I had to pretty much tell him what I wanted to drink without being ask , he had to come back to ask again bc he didn’t remember my drink, to make a long sad night short and not bore you that kind of attitude and lack of attention and trying to rush us feel was the rest of the evening. It’s such a shame such a gorgeous place with so much potential is hiring people that don’t care about service or making you want to come back , instead to just turn the table to the next group since he’s guaranteed his 20% that auto added . Horrible service and the hiring staff should pick better. As I was leaving I spoke to a manager named Derek and told him what my experience had been like and he was very nice and polite and did apologize and tried his best to make it up to me and I can certainly see why he is in a management position as his kindness made me relax and want to give M&A another try in the future , but they need better waiters bc unfortunately they are the face of the establishment and by the time you meet the quality managers it’s to late the night was shot.
We are coming to a restaurant not a nightclub…the music is so loud that we are not able to talk …. We manager doesn’t care and so not professional. I owned a lot of restaurants in my career and believe me this manager will be fired right away . If you want to be competitive in Miami you have to listen your customers and be more respectful. So don’t go there . Comparing with Claudie , casa neos or Marion , so disappointed . Forget this address
The service was mid. We had a reservation and had to wait +30 min anyway for a table. Food is not worth the price: Too salty, the smallest portions ever. I've eaten in fancy places but the food is actually worth the price. Place is dark to hide the stains and dirt on the floor and everywhere. Went for a birthday and didnt even get a scoop of ice cream with a candle or something to celebrate (just the piece or menu which I could have done the same thing at home for 5 bucks). Music TOO loud, more like a disco instead of a chill expensive place to eat. Courtesy was $+100 when the place is dirty and mid. Heck to the no. 0 recommendation from me and more than half of the reviews
