**A Must-Visit in Miami Beach - PineCrest Café** If you're on Alton road and 15 St looking for an authentic taste of Cuban-American culture with a delightful twist, PineCrest Café is the place to be. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with a spacious and cozy setup that makes you feel right at home, whether you're there for a quick bite or a leisurely tea session. I decided to explore their extensive tea collection, which did not disappoint. Each sip was an experience in itself, perfectly complementing the vibrant atmosphere of the café. But the real stars of the menu are the empanadas and Cuban crackers - an array so vast and delicious, you'll want to try them all. From savory to sweet, each bite was a testament to the culinary expertise behind the scenes. Now I have another cool spot on SB besides Atelier Monnier, the French Bakery for super croissant and French authentic quiches or for the amazingly priced wines. What's more, PineCrest Café caters to all times of the day with its 24-hour service. Whether it's a midnight craving for their famous cakes by the slice or a morning coffee with some freshly squeezed juice, they've got you covered. They offer a wide variety of beverages, including beers and sodas, ensuring there's something for everyone. The service at PineCrest Café truly stands out, thanks to Jennifer and her co-worker. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in their warm smiles, attentive service, and genuine care in making every visitor feel special. Jennifer's knowledge about the menu and her recommendations made my experience even more enjoyable. Their efficiency with orders, whether you're dining in or opting for delivery through Uber Eats, GrubHub, Postmates, or DoorDash, is commendable. If you're planning a birthday celebration or just want a slice of cake to brighten your day, PineCrest Café has an impressive selection of cakes that are not only visually appealing but also delicious. In conclusion, PineCrest Café on Alton combines great food, a warm ambiance, and exceptional service. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in Cuban-American flavors and more with a touch of local charm. Thank you, Jennifer and team, for an unforgettable experience!

After having a lackluster experience at another Cuban cafe, I came to Pinecrest. So glad I did. I ordered the cafe con leche and it was absolutely perfect. And the price is right on point. Not over priced at all. I also ordered a couple of guava and cream cheese puff pastries and they were excellent as well. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. They are not reinventing the wheel, they’re perfecting it. Excellent service, excellent product. Highly recommend.

I’m a loyal customer of Pinecrest Bakery, but I have to say the Miami Beach location is my favorite. Jennifer always makes the best café con leche, and Alieranne never fails to brighten my day with her warm smile and charming service. She truly makes sure every customer gets the best experience. my best experience, I was late at night to make the order and they attended me immediately, despite the inconveniences the boy who attended me (I do not remember his name😔 although I remember the day 07/29 after 9pm) he tried to help me 100% and at first I doubted if everything would be fine, but the result was the best, thank you very much for everything, I highly recommend this place

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience I had at your bakery. It truly feels like you're making everything with a homemade touch. I especially enjoyed the coffee, as well as the empanadas and pan con bistec. The quality was outstanding, especially considering the very reasonable prices. The atmosphere felt just like home, and every person at the counter welcomed us warmy.

I’ve been working on the beach for 3 years and this has been my go to place for breakfast and lunch the whole time. The food is authentic and delicious and I’m greeted with a smile every time I walk through the door. I’ve been to several of the other franchise locations, some of which have closed, but this one has been consistently the best, in terms of food and service. The prices, while they’ve gone up, are still pretty affordable for the beach. Grateful for this little slice of authentic miami thats still around!

This place is an authentic Cuban experience of food and flavor. The pastries (guava and cheese) is a sweet delicious taste of fruity tropics. Hamon croquette is a staple, the sandwiches like the BLT turkey melt with Cubano bread is so delicious. The women that work here are so sweet, pastry on the house and don’t forget to order a cortadito.

P
Paloma Narinesingh

the tostada & flan were amazing! 10/10 & the lady at the front was so sweet & helpful!

I flew down from a another city just to come down here for the guava and cheese pastry. Originally being from Miami they don't have these where I live now. So this place is 24 hours to know you can get your favorite pastries and empanadas and other assortments anytime of day or night is really refreshing. The pastries were actually very delicious and the the price is reasonable and a must try when you come to South Beach.

Miami local favorite. I love the staff. I love the coffee. I love the pastries.. very hard-working people up all night dealing with an ever rising crowd in Miami Beach.

Best Cuban empanadas on South Beach. Their version of Cortado uses Cuban coffee - sweet and strong. Great traditional pastries. English is understood.

M
Michael Zamber

amazing and I don't say that lightly. if you like pastries and confections fresh and literally made 24 hours a day, you should give them a shot. I cannot make the same statement about any other establishment in South beach. it is not your typical pretentious nightmare.

Z
Zuliani Nunez

The passion fruit cheesecake was absolutely delicious — perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy, very fresh and creamy. On top of that, the service from Camilo was outstanding. He was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended, I will definitely come back!

This place is Fantastic! Best espresso I've ever had in my life! It was so smooth and flavorful. I also had the Pan Con Tortilla and a pastry with coconut. They were both phenomenal! The pastry was crisp and baked to perfection. The pan con tortilla was a good size and perfect for breakfast. I would give this place 1000 stars if I could.

This 24 hours Bakery is a life saver if you are craving for pastry, empanadas (Grilled or Fried) or meat pastry (pastelito con carne) They also serve regular coffee, Lattes or Cappuccinos as well as the Cortadito Cubano. Sandwiches and other plates are also available and if you are looking for cakes for any occasion they have a large selection. Bottles of wine can also be found at a decent price.

Good Latin Bakery in South Beach. Great selection of pastries 🍰 and cakes 🎂 🥮.

S
Sara Ramirez

So, it’s in a strip mall in a quiet part of town and is open 24 hours. That being said, the pastries are beautiful and tasty, service is great, despite coming at 10:30pm. If you’ve ever been to Porto’s in LA this is a close second in terms of pastry and drink options, and it hits the spot when you want a little nightcap. Definitely recommend!

C

Nice Cuban bakery 👌 great options I come here a lot they are open 24h good options for breakfast even later night 🌙 good coffee ☕️ and cuban bread as well thank you

A
Adriana Diaz

The food and the service is fantastic however for a bakery with ovens running while they operate 24hours a day it is inconceivable to me how the AC can be set to 80 degrees in the middle of summer in Miami!! When my brother went up to the very sweet lady behind the counter to ask if they could do something to make it cooler he was informed that the AC the kept behind a lock box because the person who manages this location prefers the temperature that way!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous and I find it appalling that anyone could force not only their clientele but also their entire staff to work under these conditions and demand that something is done to make the bakery a cooler and more tolerable environment for the people who have to clock to work there for an entire shift!

N
Natalia Middlemas

Friendliness of the staff could be a lot better. I bought a sunshine breakfast croissant for $9 and it had no flavor and small size. My partner got a croqueta preparada sandwich and didn't even finish it (first time ever) and just said it wasn't good The pastelitos and the cake options are good and delicious every time. But next time I'd rather walk to Cao half a block down which is more affordable with happy workers and great food taste.

S
Sherley Sanchez

It was good, but not what I thought. The Cubans have way to much ham, which don’t allow you to enjoy all the other stuff inside the sandwich. The empanada and croquetas are really good. The guava and cheese is good. Always check your bill, they added to items to our order.

R
Ramon Florez

I ordered a pan con lechon it was horrible no flavor or seasoning. Pastries are good

x
xabier figueroa

I have been to many of these bakeries but never had I dealt with a cashier as rude and above helping customers as I did tonight. She cut me off as I was ordering because she couldn’t find one item on her system and was not apologetic at all. And did not assist when having issues with the CC machine. Even made a smart remark about how I almost broke the machine. After “helping “ me she continued being rude to the next customers. Perhaps she would be more suited to work in the back. The coffee was decent.

E
Eric S

Good location. Ok coffee. But no Cuban coffee is worth $4 Dollars here showcase did not have many pastries. However they did have a nice assortment of large cakes. A few outdoor tables. They have a few parking spaces out front. But remember (a private lot) don’t leave the lot or you will be towed.

O
One Million

My ice latte was too sweet. My BLT Turkey sandwich I waiting like 17 min. When I come to cashier ask why so long ? She just saying sorry the kitchen is busy… SO before I ordering something from the kitchen let people know the kitchen is busy WHY I have to wait sandwich 20 min at 10am.

A
Alex Galdamez

I ordered a med cafe con Leche as usual. I asked for the cinnamon dispenser and the gentleman who made my drink said only cappuccino takes cinnamon. Very silly reaction don't go after 9:00 pm on Saturdays.

L
Latosha

The presentation was really cute, and everything looked great visually. However, the cake was stale and dry, and the chocolate mousse didn’t taste good at all. It was also a little surprising that just two small pieces came in such a large box. They were definitely pretty to look at, but unfortunately not as enjoyable to eat.

G
Gregory

Run down and unclean tables, and the staff didn’t speak English. The food was to the same standard as other Pinecrest bakeries so that was the only good thing.

G
Giovani De la Hoz

The music is too loud; you can't talk or make a call inside. We asked to lower the volume, and they replied, "This is our volume." Good place, good food, very bad atmosphere!

C
Christian M

This could be a great place to come for a quick snack or a drink but the atmosphere is DEAD. Management please fix this and for sure I’ll make a new review.

M
Michelle Zee

The coffee was good but the empanadas are inedible. More grease than anything else. We were already home when we tried to eat them, ended up throwing them out. What a waste of money.

⭐ 1-Star Review: Pinecrest Bakery – South Beach Location An Embarrassing and Unprofessional Experience I’m a long-time local resident, and although I don’t buy cakes very often, the South Beach Pinecrest Bakery used to be a place I trusted when I needed something special. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was one of the most embarrassing, frustrating, and unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had in a bakery. I came in to buy a cake for my boss, who is leaving, and right away I noticed something was off. The cakes I used to purchase are now noticeably smaller, yet the prices have increased. I had a simple, reasonable question: Why are the cakes smaller now if the prices are going up? When I approached the employee, she couldn’t answer — because she didn’t speak any English. Instead of offering help, calling a manager, or trying to communicate in any professional way, she pulled another customer from the store to translate my question from English to Spanish. Even with the customer’s help, she still couldn’t explain the change in cake size. The entire situation was chaotic, uncomfortable, and honestly shocking. In a major business located in South Beach, one of the most international and tourist-heavy areas of Miami, it is unacceptable to have staff who cannot communicate in basic English — especially when dealing with customers. It’s not just about the cake size. It’s about communication. We all come from different countries — I did too. I learned English myself because I knew it was essential for life, work, and growth in the United States. If I can learn English, then employees working in a customer-facing role should also be able to communicate with customers at a basic level. To be honest, I would have walked out without buying anything because the entire experience felt unprofessional and embarrassing. But I urgently needed a cake for my boss, so I had no choice but to purchase the cake and leave. Even though I bought it, the experience left such a strong negative impression that I can confidently say: I will never return to the South Beach Pinecrest Bakery again. Shrinking product sizes, higher prices, complete lack of communication, and staff who are unprepared to serve customers — this is absolutely unacceptable for a business in this area. I am extremely disappointed as a long-time local customer.

P
Pamela Castro

Honestly, this was the worst pandebono I’ve ever tried in my life. I can’t even say I ate it, I returned it to the girl who sold it to me, telling her it was hard as a rock. She simply said, “that’s what came in today.” Totally disappointing. Avoid this place if you can. And the smell of the place … was absolutely disgusting

M
Marco Antonio Rangel Romero

I love pinecrest bakery but I was truly disappointed by the lack of care and disrespect Chaveliz showed to me when I told she had overcharged me for a coffee. She took the coffee out of my hand and forced a refund. When I showed her the ticket prices and the monitor prices were different she had nothing to say and finally accepted to charge me correctly.

E
Eric Jimenez

Came here for my break at work, the place is empty Took them 45 minutes to make a Cuban sandwich, there’s no one the take accountability for the issue. When the sandwich is ready they handed it over almost thrown it in my face

B
Brooks Ait Ahmed

Went there this morning to get a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Lady who took my order didn’t speak English when I asked her after 10 minutes if I had a ticket number that would be called. The other lady was rude and when their “rush” slowed down, she went back to make the sandwich herself and closed the window to kitchen. Not sanitary not good service !!!

M
Miguel

This is by far one of the worst bakeries or cafeterias I have ever been to in my entire life, not to mention the long lines that accumulate here at 5 AM are ridiculous and on top of that there is no ordinance to the line is basically just wait for someone to make eye Contact with you to be served. I have had a couple of things to eat from here as well the Cuban sandwich or any sandwich for that matter never has any pork in it. They skimp you out really bad on top of that they’re Crockets are awful and always taste, super old and to conclude there’s always such a bad vibe and bombs to hang out outside the store.

M
Market X4

I work nearby, and I used to go to Pinecrest Bakery Miami Beach several times a day. 70% of the times, I see something against Food Service rules. One day, the lady was clening the floor and went direct to pick up something for me without washing her hands and even put on a glove. When I asked her to wash her hands she almost cursed me. The other day, the lady was cleaning the floor with a cloth, and then she cleaned the tables with the SAME cloth. So, after this, I wouldn't got there anymore. If they do this in front of you, what they would do when there is no looking at them....

S
Seriously?

The food is decent but a bit overpriced. The (morning) servers are extremely rude and impatient. Almost never say good morning or thank you. Nothing like being greeted with rudeness and a stern face. I go there several times a week due to its close proximity to my job. My patience is wearing thin with these ladies. May have to find another bakery. Kindness and pleasantries go a long way. (Owner) I hope you’re reading this. Update: Nothing has changed. Morning staff seem to be miserable working here. Try bringing in some friendlier workers and I’m sure business and tips would improve. 🤷🏻

C
Cindee Tabares

This morning I paid $10.50 for their standard breakfast plate which includes eggs, toast and a cafe con leche; the below picture is what I got. It literally looked like one egg, highly disappointed. I also want to mention, I'm a Miami resident, born and raised. I previously lived near their Bird Road location and loved the service and staff. Their standard breakfast platter was around $6.00 (with tip). I recently moved to the beach, I work off of the same salary as before just a different location and I noticed that for the same breakfast platter, it's double the price and comes out to almost $11.00, not to mention look at the amount of eggs they gave me. Will not be returning to their Miami Beach location ever again, if they want to cater to residents versus tourists, they should take this into consideration because they are losing what used to be a very loyal customer.

A
Al

Very nasty place. It has declined steadily. Dirty tables, trash everywhere. I would not come back.

n
noel martinez

Bad quality, the sandwich only brought two pieces of hot tomato and some poor sandwich fries… I’ve eating pan con bistec in many other places and this one is the worst. I’m not really thinking about visiting this place again and I don’t recommend it.

M
Ms Love

VERY RACIST. Every time I go into this bakery, there’s a racial undertone in how they greet you, handle transactions, and even how they speak (or don’t speak) when you leave. Most of the time, they don’t say anything at all. But the moment a Spanish customer walks in behind you, it’s “Hola” and “¿Cómo estás?” with a completely different level of friendliness and energy. At first, I thought it might just be me since I work in the area, but after visiting two or three times, I realized it’s a pattern. I even asked my co-workers if they noticed the same thing — and they did. My African-American co-workers said the exact same thing: this bakery gives off racial energy. They do not greet or treat Black customers the same way. I wouldn’t recommend this bakery to anyone who isn’t Latino. I’ve worked on Miami Beach for 14 years and have supported local businesses in the area for over 15 years. This one stands out — and not in a good way. I prefer to go to CAO Bakery & Café down the street. They’re always friendly, welcoming, and professional. I will not be returning to this bakery.

We love the food at Pinecrest but the service at the Miami Beach location is awful. First, not one staff member speaks English. Saturday night we ordered dinner on line, the food was 40 minutes late, and we could not communicate at the store to understand why. Do not go to this location unless you speak Spanish.

PRO: Large bakery. Indoor/outdoor seating. Great location. CONS: Dirty tables/floor. Greasy, tasteless, tiny chicken empanadas. The cashier asked for a tip just for putting my food in a small paper bag. Yes. While I'm at it I'll tip CVS, Publix, the Post Office....In fact here, EVERYONE, just take all my wages for just DOING YOUR JOB.

NO sure what has happened with this location, I have visited multiple times for years, but today the Server at the counter was more focused on her mopping that any else. I told her 2 sandwiches, egg, bacon, and cheese, but she walked away and continue her mopping, then minutes later she asks If I was done looking at the menu board. I told her before you left, I was telling you my order, but you walked away. Then she responded I was giving you time, we were just back and forward like I was bothering her during her cleaning duties, bcs of the vibe I took my food, waited 20 mins. but coño $9 for a sandwich I understand inflation and the economy is expensive this was a SAD sandwich, then she serves my coffee, but dont say anything just left it at the counter and walks away, also asked for extra sugar she's just pointed a box. I was the only one there i will understand if there were more people, but the morning there was no one there.

amazing service, food is delicious, but the lack of AC makes this place INHABITABLE. the heat from the kitchen and the heat outside makes the place impossible to stay at. no fan or anything, it feels like a sauna. great food but you need to just pick it up and leave. please fix this!!!!!

The only place why this place is still open it’s because it’s 24 hours but yet it’s not even worth it. There are no fresh pastries at any time day or night. The pastries look like they are 3 days old. It smells like cigarette, dirty. There are uber drivers chatting outside, parked taking up parking spaces and chatting away not consuming. This location should close or be bought out it’s disgusting

The absolute WORST Cuban bakery experience I’ve ever had. The lady at the counter was extremely rude!!!! It was noon and she would not sell me orange juice because she had to get the machine started and said I would have to wait more at least 15 mins. The place was practically empty and the croquetas were not fresh not to mention they don’t offer lemons for the croquetas or water to clean your pallet after coffee. Communist Cuba bakery there. DONT GO THERE. I called to get the lady’s name and she hung up on me and refused to give me her name. Sad experience on 305 day at noon. Awful
