We had a good experience at Applebee’s. The staff was friendly and attentive, and although the restaurant was a bit chilly, it wasn’t enough to take away from the meal. My husband really enjoyed his Bourbon Street Chicken & Andouille Sausage, and I liked my sampler, especially the quesadillas, boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, and the spinach artichoke dip. The only downside was the chips that came with the dip; they tasted old and stale. I ended up taking the dip home and enjoying it with my own chips, which made a big difference. Aside from that, everything else was tasty and we left satisfied. Overall, a solid visit and we’d return.

So we went on 8/17 around 7:30 and it wasn't very busy so we were kind of excited it wasn't packed and I had never been to an Applebee's before. Well we get sat down and it took a little bit before someone came to our table. They handed us silverware and said they'd be back to take our drink order. Well almost 10 minutes go by and a different girl comes up and says hey noticed you guys were just sitting here have you been helped we said not yet and we were ready to order. We get out drinks appetizers and food all within like 5 minutes of each other which is good but after that we sat forever trying to get a refill. This whole time I'm watching the staff chill and chat at the kitchen door or standing in the corner on their phone or sitting at the bar. Again it was not busy at all and we weren't being pushy about anything so we didn't feel like it should have been very hard to get out orders in or drinks filled. Food was ok not much special but definitely had worse food but for the first time at Applebee's probably won't be going again anytime soon. ///// Update the manager got a hold of us and wanted to make it better so we decided to see what they could do. We went back and everything was much better this time service was awesome and the manager on duty was able to make sure things ran well that night it was worth seeing how they could be again and it was well worth it

I just left Applebee's new braunfels with my sister and bf. We got there late , close to closing time and the man that greeted and sat us clearly didn't want to be bothered with us, as he threw us off onto the lady that was cleaning a section and obviously finishing up. She was sweeping and about to mop, but I guess he was done for the day because he didn't care that we had to step over a pile of swept up debris to get to our table. He just told her he's sitting us there and walked away. He went on to prop up on the bar and scroll on his phone. We didn't say anything about it because we didn't want him serving us anyway with those disgusting long nails he had along with the horrid body odor coming off him. Our server Nichole was great. She served us despite the late hour, despite she was clearly on her way out, and she served us with a smile. If she was annoyed, we couldn't tell. The food was good. Came out quick and hot. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the good service from Nichole. If not for her, I'd give 1 star for his dismissive behavior and bad presentation of himself. Maybe better luck next time.

OK, the food is not that great. The price is OK but sometimes I get a waiter that’s friendly or not friendly and then the atmosphere just feels so offputting when you get that non-friendly waiter. I realize that the food is not that great and the staff price might be cheap, but I guess that’s what you’re paying for. I just can’t find myself going out of my way to come back.

Not the best place to eat when it’s empty on a Saturday evening. The bathrooms were dirty, service was slow, had to ask for straws, napkins and silverware. I ended up going to the bathroom and getting paper towels. The appetizers came and we asked for appetizer plates. No silverware or napkins plus the drinks came after the appetizers. We walked into a 1/2 empty restaurant and waited at least 10 (during "dinner rush") minutes at the door. No hostess, and only 1 waitress visible. There were 3 parties waiting at the door. Finally someone came up and asked if we had been helped. They left to get someone, and after another waiting period, my wife and I left. We tried to give the restaurant a chance, but if they can't seat people in a timely manner, we were afraid how long the food would take and decided to leave. Won't be trying that again.

This is the first time in my 45 years of life that I Did not leave a tip. I came in tonight with my daughter because it was Tuesday and kids eat for $1.99. I don’t often go out to eat, and when I do, I like to save money when I can. I was seated quickly And my server, Justin G Started out very attentive and kind. However, after he gave us our food, we did not see him for a very long time, and I waited for a box and the bill. Because I waited so long, I handed him my credit card before looking at the bill and he walked away and ran the card, but when I looked at the receipt, I noticed he charged me for a full kids meal. When he came back with the receipt that I paid, I Asked if they were still running the dollar $1.99 kids special. He replied with “Oh is it Tuesday?” This was shocking because the place was full of kids. And he seemed like a waiter who had worked there for a while and would know that Tuesday was kids night. He offered to go speak to a manager, but when he finally came back, he Said all his manager could do was give me a free kids meal when I came back. I did not want to come back. I wanted the bill fixed and he said it was not possible to Refund me And rerun my credit card. I explained to him that that was absurd and that if the bill was incorrect, they should be able to do that or he should be able to offer me another option. He could’ve even said I can refund you and then you pay cash or something, but he didn’t offer anything else and just stared at me with an odd look as if I was crazy. He did say “I’m sorry this was my fault” which I agreed, but I explained to him that his manager could pay his tip because I was overcharged for my meal.

Waitress was rude and unprofessional! There wasnt busy when my sister and I went for lunch. This lady asked me what I wanted to drink I ordered a tea. However she just assumed we both wanted the same walked away and said so two teas didnt even asked my sister or confirmed that was what she wanted. She didnt even gave us a chance to order an appetizer she just walked away. When she came back with two exact same drinks we told her my sister actually wanted to order something different she just didnt gave us a chance. This lady just rolled her eyes at us and walked away! She didnt even apologized or asked what my sister wanted or something to make it right! Next minute we have a different waitress helping us. I guess this lady refused to help us instead of admitting it was her mistake not ours! Thankfully the second waitress was wonderfull! He was nice, courteous, friendly and wonderful overall! I'm only giving a 1 star review due to the experience with the first waitress!(black lady) It was my sisters bday!!! Second waitress was great! (Adam A) Thank you!

Horrible service if I could leave zero I would. Waited 45 mins for cold food. Waitress sucked lol waited an hour for 2 waters lol I wouldn’t bring my dog here. The entire staff stood around and talked and paid no attention to customers. I was genuinely shocked by the lack of customer service. Would rather drive to Kyle much better service at that Applebees! Went there at 9:30 tonight. No host so we sat in bar area. Place was filthy - a number of tables with dishes and food from previous customers. A lady came out and gave us menus but clearly told us she would not be taking our order as she wasn’t our server. About 10 minutes later a young man came to our table and took our drink order. After another 5 minutes we hadn’t seen him so we left. The staff was way more interested in dancing with each other and chatting than they were giving anything close to service. We won’t be back which is a shame because this location used to be nice but now it’s clear there is no effective leadership.
