Not just bar food. Don't know why this restaurant is only rated at 3 stars. Have had their bar food options, (burgers/wraps/fries) many times and always impressed with quality and portion. Surprised to find other options such as Korean Vegetable Mandoo, Sesame Chicken Rice Bowl and Spicy Shrimp Tacos as well as plant base and vegetarian dishes. Their tap beer selection was off the hook. Asked for a hazy IPI and said there were eight. Asked for blood orange IPA and said there were three. Professional service and comfortable atmosphere. Never rushed or clearing table before we all finished.

Loved Pub 42! The baked mac and cheese was amazing, super cheesy and flavorful. Busy night but glad we had reservations and found parking. Great service, I’ll be back!

First time here and stopped in with my friends. We were greeted and sat in a comfortable spot right away. We received our beverages right away and ordered our food. We just went with a few appetizers to share. We had the shrimp, onion rings, and chicken wings. Absolutely delicious. Loved the home battered rings! The shrimp were cooked perfectly - seriously. The wings were hot, tender, and juicy! Loved your garlic Parmesan wing sauce -actually I loved all of your house made sauces!!!!!!! The server kept our beverages full, super friendly, and checked in on us often. Definitely recommend it and will be back again! Thank you!

I recently dined at Pub 42, and overall, it was a memorable experience. We ordered the Walleye Fish Sandwich, the Jambalaya, and the Oven-Roasted Half Chicken. The Walleye Fish Sandwich was a standout. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky, and well-seasoned, with a crispy exterior that complemented the fresh bun. The Jambalaya was hearty and flavorful, with a good mix of sausage, and rice. The Oven-Roasted Half Chicken was equally impressive. It was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, with a crispy skin that added a delightful crunch. The sides that came with it were a great complement, rounding out the meal nicely. Service was attentive and friendly, contributing to a pleasant dining atmosphere. The pub itself had a relaxed vibe, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. In summary, Pub 42 delivered on both food and service, making it a spot I would gladly return to. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious pub fare with a bit of flair.

This place is a Gem. A great atmosphere. The staff has always been attentive and the food and cocktails are prepared perfectly. Stop in and if Ryan is working. Ask him to mix up a Grape Ape or two.

If I could give six stars to Pub 42, I would. First and foremost, the menu is vast and it has a lot of unique options that you wouldn't find at most other restaurants. One perfect example of many would be the deviled eggs which are served with two strips of bacon. This appetizer was simply amazing! Second, the servings are large and the food quality is phenomenal. I ordered the turkey dinner which came with a significant amount of Turkey fresh cranberries and mashed potatoes with gravy and stuffing. Third, the service was outstanding as I never had to ask for anything and to me that is a win. ***Stopped by late last week and got a cup of chili and prime rib. Simply amazing as always.

Talk about a hidden gem in the heart of New Hope‼️ I've lived and worked in the area for years and overlooked this place and what a mistake that was!! Let me tell you, the cake is outstanding! Their Walley Fingers are contenders for some of the best in the Twin Cities and their cheese curds are outstanding as well. The service was lovely. This is the kind of place I can easily recommend for multiple reasons. Enjoy yourself when going here!

We had a large family group with kids, a wheelchair & the staff was very accommodating. Just hoped the walleye portion was bigger.

Excellent service, classic pub vibes and a perfect menu selection! The cheese curds are light, fluffy and "melt in your mouth" good!

this area of the metro just really lacks for decent places to eat but pub 42 is a bright spot for the area. simple bar and restaurant atmosphere, friendly service, and with a pretty expansive menu you are bound to found something you like. i stick with anything that comes with their millionaire’s bacon as it always is delicious!

We were concerned there wouldn't be enough room, the parking lot was pretty full, but the inside is huge! There was plenty of room left, we didn't feel crowded. We didn't have a reservation, week night, and there was no wait for a table. There was a large table setup near the host stand for food delivery services. So it must be easy (and popular) to get their food delivered. I also saw a sign that says they do weekly meat raffles on Thursdays at 5:30pm, which sounds fun. All staff wore face masks, there was hand sanitizer available, some standing areas in the bar were "closed", and some tables have been removed for more distancing. To prepare for the summer, they have added a large new (second) patio for outdoor seating, but it's not open yet. Crayons didn't come with the children's menus, which was ok because we had some on us. Maybe they don't have crayons during the pandemic. They have a large food menu with lots of food food options. I was also impressed with their beer list. I especially liked that there was a column that listed the beer style to make it easier to pick what you want. The server brought out oyster crackers for my kids to help them wait for dinner and brought out their food before ours, which was nice. Their kids slider meals came with a lot of french fries and surprisingly large buns for sliders. The popovers were good, light and airy. The pretzel appetizer was good. The Cajun fettuccine and Italian chop salad were good. The server was attentive at refilling ice tea. The only downsides were that the server didn't know we were seated in her area, so we had to wait quite awhile to get drinks/our order taken. It was also a long time between our kids getting our food and us getting our food. Maybe they aren't used to handling large dinner crowds anymore? The women's bathroom has three stalls, but unfortunately one stall was out of order, one had a written sign on it that it was out of toilet paper (they apparently didn't have any extra??), so only one was ready to use. I'm not sure if smoking is allowed on the patio, or in front of the restaurant, but there was atleast one time we got a huge smell of smoke (assumed when an outside door was opened), which was surprising and not pleasant.

Food is always delicious. Servers are always friendly and attentive. The Maple Pepper Bacon and Tomatoes Flatbread Pizza is awesome. Be sure to save room for the Crispy Bread Pudding Bites.

Excellent beer selection, one of the best tap lists I've seen in the twin cities and I'm from the west coast. Good food, not cheap but still better than brewery prices. Check them out if you haven't stopped by!

One of our visits a while back was just okay, but what really stood out was that the GM personally reached out after and genuinely cared about the feedback. That alone meant a lot. We decided to come back a few weeks ago and the experience was night and day. Great service, great food, and a really fun atmosphere, especially with the Initials game they were running that night. You can tell the team actually wants to make the place better, and it shows.

We went for a late lunch this past Saturday...we were not disappointed! The soups/salads/sandwiches and burgers were fantastic! The popovers though? Out of this world. Warm and airy with a hearty helping of honey butter! We finished it off with the Charlie Brown Pie....and the peanut butter in the graham cracker crust was outstanding. Laura was kind and attentive. Helped us out by suggesting an extra spoon for my mom who had a broken arm and was trying to make do left handed with her fork. She suggested the Charlie Brown Pie and are we glad we took her up on it! To top it off, Kris at the tabs booth was also a rockstar. Made great small talk and we were lucky enough to have won with the Purple Reign to top off the Wolves Prince theme game the night before. We'll be back for sure!

We came in to support a fundraiser for a local school and were seated in Samantha’s section. She delivered top notch customer service and was incredibly sweet (and not to mention patient) with our young daughter who wanted to share her art projects with our server. Food hit the spot and the atmosphere was comfortable and warm. The kiddos dancing next to the jukebox was the cherry on top! Very community-oriented!

My wife and I attend a monthly club meeting that is held at Pub 42. We always eat right before the meeting and are always greeted by name when we arrive by Nancy. She is an excellent ambassador for the establishment and makes us feel right at home. The menu variety is great and food service and quality has been consistently excellent. We thoroughly recommend Pub 42 as a friendly eating place with great food and drinks ata. very affordable price.

Its a good local place to get food. Food has been good tasting every time we've been there. Only complaint was I asked for an over medium fried egg instead of a sunny side up egg which seems like a non issue at any other restaurant. The kitchen manager said they couldn't and wouldn't do it "today" as mods on the menu arent allowed. There were maybe 7 cars in the lot, 5 of which were staff.. I saw 2 other families in the store... both who were either done eating or were already served, so, in other words, not a busy time in the kitchen. Kitchen delay for the extra 1 minute and apparently severe wrist strain from flipping an egg on the griddle must have been overwhelming to the staff that day.

Visited for lunch the other day. I was served by such a lovely server Nicole! Hard to find good customer service these days! & not to mention their food is so delicious! Their soups never disappoint.

Our favorite restaurant hands down! To our delight, when we went into this restaurant we found it to be remodeled and a fresh menu. Servers are great and happy to get you whatever you need to have an enjoy able experience. The food it fantastic and I can’t say enough of how much we enjoy coming here. We live close and come a couple times a week now!

Had dinner with 10 family members tonight. Hannah gave us great service; friendly, attentive and made it a nice evening for family from 6 to 76 years old. Food was very good and appealed to all of our group. We'll be returning soon.

On a Tuesday, I was able to get a table on the patio right away. Awesome! I arrived by myself and while waiting for my company, I ordered my food, a bowl of chicken noodle to start and a French Dip. The soup took 26 minutes to arrive in front of me. The server brought it over, set it down and by now the other person that was joining my had arrived, the server didn't even acknowledge them. Then 2 minutes later, a busser came by and dropped off my French dip. He was about to run off but we asked him to grab the server. She came by for the drink order and I was able to ask for silverware and a napkin because it the now 45 minutes that I was there, none of the 3 employees during 5 visits to my table had brought any over. The soup was well seasoned. Chicken was a little dry. But still good. The French dip, per the servers suggestion was really good.

There’s a reason this place keeps growing, the food is fantastic, the service delivers, and that atmosphere is welcoming. There’s a fine dinner section, a more laid back bar area, and easily the best patio in the area. Sandwiches are put together with generous precision and the nachos need to be on your short list. Worth venturing out of your way for - recommended.

Good service, attentive wait staff. Walleye fingers are good but the nachos looked amazing coming through. Plan on trying those deviled eggs next trip. Bacon cheeseburger had as wonderful grilled flavor. Bacon is a highlight here, sweet n spice goodness. Watching the Vikings play, pack it in with all the locals. Gets pretty loud, just like being at the game. Many, many screens for every angle.

The staff was great. Millionaire burger was delicious, worth a try. The Prime Rib sandwich yum. Reuben sliders, the sauerkraut was dry, need more sauce too. But pretzel buns yummy. Fish & Chips was good but basic. I did hear the meatloaf was really really good, but we did not get to try that. Millionaire Burger was recommended as #1 choice to try.

Wife wanted to come here for date night. Reserved a table but ended up at a table near the cold front of the restaurant. Wish we had a booth. I ordered the French onion soup which was great. I also ordered the fried shrimp basket which was tasty but little pricey in my opinion. My wife ordered the bbq burger with sautéed onions which was a 50 cent extra charge. So was the seasoned sour cream that she didn’t want because she asked for a coleslaw but got fries instead. Thankfully the manager or other waiter fixed the order. We both wanted the crème brûlée but they were out so we decided on the butter toffee cake which was good. There was only one waiter on our side that I saw and she was quite busy so we didn’t get to order in until 10-15 mins. She did great getting us our drinks but the Diet Coke tasted watered down. Overall it was a good experience. I can see why Pub 42 is always busy but it’s a little pricey in my book. Will consider trying it again.

Went here Easter weekend with our son and really enjoyed the stop. It was very busy, so we at first didn't think we had time to stay - but they ended up finding us a table to eat at the bar. The tap beer, drink and food selections were good and the place was very lively - with some great country music playing in the background. We started with an order of popovers since we hadn't had any for a while and absolutely loved the butter that came with them. We ended up all ordering the Fish Special for Friday after hearing that it was walleye (see picture) and all really liked the meal. Food: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Value: 5 Service: 4 If you found this review helpful, please click to show your support. 👏🏼😎

Burger was cooked perfectly and looked great but no seasonings. Needs a pinch of salt, garlic powder, burger seasonings, something! Do recommend tots and seasoned sour cream. Atmosphere and service were great.

I ordered the turkey, mash potatoes & gravy. The turkey was dry, and there could have been more gravy. The fish on the other hand, was Fantastic. Prices were a little high for the portions.

Fun place to eat. Great food & service, huge tap list. Our group regularly gets a server named Nancy; she's a real pro - very friendly and very efficient with a large group.

Busy and loud in the bar, but easy to converse in restaurant. We had reservation for party of seven but there were tables available and no line waiting for tables. Food was good. Bleu Burger was very tasty with lots of toppings and a bun which was thick, but not heavy.

We really love the food here and have always had great experiences dining in. Unfortunately, our first time ordering takeout wasn’t the same. I arrived right at the promised pickup time (6:15 PM). They were very busy, so I expected a small wait, which was totally understandable. I received my order around 6:25 PM and got home by 6:35 PM, but the food was almost completely cold, soggy, and dry by then. I’m hoping this was just an off night, but it was disappointing compared to the quality we’ve come to expect when dining in.

We came here for lunch. Our server, Maddy did an excellent job! The turkey wild rice soup was very good. The popovers were kind of cold and hard. Definitely a better experience than the last takeout order I had. I was craving their wings (which used to be my favorite) They were really fatty. The steak fries I had were really dried out. The hostess was very friendly though!

B

The food was good. You could have been a little better but it was good. There was three in our party. We got there at the last part of the bingo night it was very loud. Which one is the most disappointing part about it. I want to listen to bingo for about 15 minutes and then it ended. When we first got there you couldn't hear each other talk because it was so loud from the bingo night.

We walked in what was apparently the side door and stood there for quite a while. A server finally walked over and was walking past us without even acknowledging us and I had to get his attention to ask if it was seat yourself because there was no signage. He pointed us to the host stand which was in the middle of the restaurant. The host had been standing there talking to the server and looking at us with the whole time. So obviously they had no sense of urgency. Our server was kind of flighty and seemed like he was in a big hurry the whole time. He rushed quite a bit and was talking really fast. Also he did not offer to get us drinks before taking our order which is kind of strange. My mom and I both asked for water with lime and he brought back waters with no lime. When he walked by again we stopped him and I asked for lime. He seemed bothered. The person that delivered our food came to her table and just said "nachos?". I responded and said she had the nachos indicating my mom. She stood there for another second and then said "who had the nachos?". She seemed annoyed. Overall it felt like there was no real sense of urgency or attention to detail. Seemed more like we were being a bother then like we were guests in a restaurant. The food was good. But I've been there before and like service was way better. Had this been my first experience, I probably wouldn't go back unless I was meeting a group or something that had already decided on that restaurant.

The place was decent enough. The service was good as was the food. Would have had another star but pubs are a little more about alcohol than food, and the cocktails aren't great. The millionaire bacon burger was delightful and I would totally come and eat it again. The old-fashioned however, was pretty bad.

This was our first visit. Would give 3.5 if I could. We started with the Buffalo chicken flatbread and the nachos. Flatbread was delicious. Crispy and nice Buffalo flavor. Nachos were average. Good nachos are hard to find I swear. These were pretty dry, not enough cheese. We all then had the mix and match. We had the BLT, reuben and chicken tortilla soup. Chicken tortilla soup was ok, needed some more seasoning was super creamy though. Reuben was good. BLT was interesting. The bacon was a little sweet and very peppery. Overwhelming peppery unfortunately. Hard to eat even a half sandwich. All apps are $2 off during happy hour which is nice. I side bar area is very nice. Lots of TV for football. Olyvia was our server, she was great, very nice.

J
Jessi Jean

We were seated by hostess and waited quite a while for a waitress. She was a very very kind lady. She was suprised nobody had taken our drink order. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. My salad was brought out by a completely clueless kid. When I asked for silverware he replied "I'll probably have to steal some, we don't have any wrapped". Then walked away. 10 min later the waitress realized I wasn't eating yet and found some silverware (kid was nowhere to be found). The food: The house salad was shredded lettuce with onions, tomatoes and soggy croutons. We ordered 2 types of wings. They were great sized wings but very little seasoning. The Buffalo wings seemed to just have a drizzle of hot sauce on the top. We ended with chocolate turtle cake and that was AMAZING. I dont think I need to visit again.

Had French dips, very fatty, had to pick them apart to get good pieces. French onion soup in the past has been good, hardly any cheese and luke warm.disappionted .

Really like this place until they brought the check. That is where they disclose that you are being penalized for using any form of plastic (instead of cash). I find this cause to not return. Owners should be smart enough to make up the money by adjusting prices (I could list all sorts of ways but it's not my job). 2.6 % is what you will be fined by paying with anything but cash. Too bad. I received a BS response as I'm sure you can see. AND, I paid with a debit card and WAS charged a 2.6% fine. I stand by my position. Even more so now!

I came for the Thanksgiving Buffet. I never in a million years expect the buffet to be set up on a lower level where you had 3 steps that you had to use to get to the buffet. Since I'm in a wheelchair, it was impossible for me to access the buffet. Since a buffet is only offered on certain dates, such as Thanksgiving, they could have set it up on the main floor. I'm guessing that they choose the downstairs location, so that they could set up more tables to increase the income for the day. I think that accessibility for all people is more important! The best way to support people with any kind of physical challenges is to never spend a dime with this business. If they were concerned with making sure all people could have access to the buffet, they had plenty of options to make it right! Please do not support this business and please spread the word around about how they don't care about people with disabilities. It's 2025! Wake up people. We all have the right to be treated equally and respectfully.

We usually love this place but tonight take out wasn’t so great. We ordered millionaires blt with fries and seasoned sour cream. The blt was not candied like usual- so it was a regular blt and no seasoned sour cream when we paid extra. Super disappointing
