We have been to multiple kava bars and this one is by far the best! Every drink on the menu is delicious. Even the food is 🔥 The kava-tender Nus has amazing customer service and makes us feel like family. Definitely recommend this spot to chill at.

This is the best kava bar ever!! Went here with my friends, and it was so the best experience ever. We ordered the chicken tenders, loaded fries, spam musubi and mozzarella sticks for snacks, and everything was on point. We also tried their sakura lychee fizz, soursop mojito, and dragonfruit rita. Everything was well thought out, kudos to the owners. Will definitely come back!! ❤️❤️

Wow. I’ve truly found a gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine friendliness. The service was quick, and both the food and drinks were incredibly delicious. There are so many cozy spots to relax, grab a bite with friends, or get some studying done. After dark, the dimmed lighting makes the already beautiful interior feel even more magical. I can’t wait to come back!

I love this place! My favorite kava bar, and I've been to them all. The Kava-tender Antony is a super nice guy, so is Brian, the manager. The place is owned by two lovely ladies who obviously care about Kava a lot and providing service to the community. I've had their sweet potato fries and they're amazing. Their drinks are all bangin, every time. Come try this place. You won't be disappointed!

I was in town for the week and decided to try Makana Kava Gastrobar—and I’m so glad I did! The whole place feels like stepping into a Hawaiian fantasy, with beautifully detailed décor and art that make the atmosphere truly special. I ordered the ube mocktail, chicken sliders, sweet potato fries, and chicken tenders—everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh and unique, and the presentation was just as great as the taste. If you're looking for a cozy, tropical vibe with amazing food and drink options (even non-alcoholic!), this place is a must-visit. I’d definitely come again!

Nicely decorated. We had the fried rice Friday special with a kratom. Yummy. Fresh cooked from scratch in a wok. The passionfruit kava was fresh and delicious as was the watermelon kratom. Parking is some spots on the side of the building. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also do monthly kava crawls where they rent vans. Excited for the next one.

I've been coming here consistently for 11 days straight since driving down to Miami visiting family. I'm from Orlando and we also have kava bars up there and been a part of the kava community for 8 years now. When I first walked in, I immediately felt included like family. Anthony and V are wonderful gems to have as kavatenders. The owners Nulka and Diana are super engaged with their business and know how to make all their patrons and clients feel welcomed. They understand how to make quality products/items on their menu, like kratom and kava. It's not just a kava bar, it's a restaurant too and they have food. I tried their Hawaiian-style fried rice with spam and veggies and it's pure fire. Makana has now won a loyal patron! 😊✌

Once you walk in you’re welcomed by beautiful scenery and lovely staff. The drinks are delicious and crafted with great care. The loloma kava is delightful and mixed with the blue lotus extract gives you a feeling of tranquillity. The sour sop mojito is very flavorful and refreshing. I'm so happy we found this place! We come here every chance we get. The food is amAZING, the cocktails are the best in Miami hands down. The environment is super chill, fun, upbeat. You can feel how much love the owners pour into the place from the food to the drinks, the overall aesthetic and even who they chose to work there. The fried rice special on Fridays is unbeatable!!! There is a different special happening throughout the week, pairing a deal with a dish and a drink. Seriously cannot be beat -I have yet to enjoy a kava bar as much as I enjoy Makana <3
