I asked a local for a good coffee spot and recommended south draft mission coffee house. The employee was friendly and suggested a drink he enjoys cold, I ordered the dayglow (espresso, macadamia and coconut served over ice), then this confetti cookie. Yummy

Lovely experience! Needed to leave a good review, because saw the low ratings, but coffee and service was excellent today! Annelise was charming and we got a pup cup for Echo! And coming here was wonderful start for our day!

Can’t beat the view from the patio. Right on the boardwalk with great views of the ocean. Lots of sunshine in the afternoon, so springtime was great - might be a little warm in the summertime. Started with a flight of IPAs and sours, buffalo wings and a Caesar salad, washed down with a flight of pale ales and stouts. Almost all beers in the menu were locals from San Diego. Great menu of food, service was excellent - will definitely come back to this place if we are back at Mission Beach.

I had the cannonball burger and it was the best burger I have ever had. Sorry I didn’t get a picture, I ate it too fast before I thought to write this review. It was SO GOOD. The perfect combo on a burger and I normally do not like burgers (would rather get a club sandwich or bowl). I won’t have a burger again for a few months and probably will be sad that it’s not this burger. Server was super helpful and nice, fries are good too. But the burger, oh man. I’ll be thinking about it for a while,

Had some time to kill before flying back east for a work trip. Came down to Mission Beach since it was close to the airport. Noticed that Draft South Mission had great open views of the ocean so decided to give it a try for dinner. It was pretty windy and cool and after sunset, so I elected to sit indoors. I did grab a spot where I still had views of the ocean through the open garage doors that they have separating the outside and inside seating areas. For a Friday late afternoon/early evening, it was steady but not busy. I ordered the 12 piece wings with the house dry rub. Wings were tasty and the rub was kind of a mix of lemon pepper/old bay. Carrot sticks and ranch and blue cheese accompanied. Service was pretty good. The views were great and I am sure even better when it’s warm and sunny out. They also have upper deck seating with views that overlook the ocean. Although this location is right on the boardwalk and basically beachside, it is not a beach dive. Nice brewery with a decent variety of bar food. Even the bathrooms were very nice and very clean, not what you usually see for a place right on the water. The food and service rates this place a 4 but the location and the view pushes it to a five for me.

This place is awesome! I'm not much of a Beer Drinker but the food was fabulous, and the customer service was excellent! There was a mess up with our order, a new runner went to the wrong table and the people at the table took our order! So it took us twice as long to get our food, but the atmosphere was nice (other than the weed smell that runs everything in California) the friendly staff and appetizers kept us busy. The view and people watching were fabulous. we will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Great view to the boardwalk and beach, a very lively place. Great atmosphere, good and quick service. The food is average but well presented. Fresh salad. The burger patti is small. I ordered the blue cheese burger and instead of fries I ordered salad (extra pay).

Great beach setting right in the heart of Mission Beach beside Belmont Park. Must be understaffed on Sundays. Tables were a little more than half full and the greeter told us we could be seated in 15 minutes so we went to the bar. In what seemed like 10 minutes, servers finally asked what we would have. The menu is a good variety of appetizers, burgers, salads and more. My wife ordered buffalo chicken wings and I stuck with a hazy IPA after eating earlier at La Jolla’s farmers market

Delicious food and drinks for the whole group and family. Definitely a date night place. The service is fast and friendly. During Christmas they have the miracle pop up bar. So come bring the family, friends or a date! I recommend any of the burgers and Parmesan fries for your meal. And definitely try the holiday drinks!!

Food was actually delicious we both had burgers they were soooo good! Good crispy well-seasoned steak fries too, and thick crispy bacon on the burgers! Service was terrible though, no sense of urgency from the staff in either clearing dirty tables/dishes, taking orders. We had to flag down our server 4 times, they clearly need twice as many staff. We sat at the bar after other people left and it took them 10 min to clear their dirty dishes in front of us and another 15 to take our order. Bathroom was disgusting.

The place is littered with flies. The service was rough. Got served the wrong drink, got it corrected. However they did not fix it on the bill until we mentioned it when they were charging us. Ordered my chilaquiles with eggs over medium received no eggs with my order. Had to ask them to take the eggs off the order to avoid the $4 charge. Asked for ketchup took a long while to receive it. The food was cold on arrival. The drinks tasted good. It seemed like most of the workers were high. We did not have to wait for a table as we sat at the bar. However, it took minutes to be acknowledged by staff. Overall, poor experience. Can’t see myself coming back.

The prices are just getting out of hand. Everything was fine. FINE. Not worth the fortune it costs. No, not even the gorgeous sunset view. Our table didn’t get acknowledged until a poor pregnant woman at a nearby table went up to the hostess stand to let her know her table hadn’t been acknowledged. The servers were great, genuinely, once they found us. The food was fine. Again, FINE. Salmon cooked well, excellent burger. Nothing worth what we were charged. 30% too much. Rein it in.

We came here with some friends and family a few weekends ago in hopes of getting the “Christmas experience”. We sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks and appetizers as we waited for our friends and family. They made us pay first or start a tab (prior to the items being brought out) which isn’t abnormal for sitting at a bar. They were sold out of a lot of the holiday drinks already at 12 noon and were extremely busy. The atmosphere was not what they make it seem online. The food was alright. The few holiday drinks we did get to try were pretty decent. As friends and family showed up they began to order. We started talking and got side tracked and realized some of our appetizers never came to the bar. They also didn’t give us receipts. We spent over $350 and waited for what seemed like forever for a bar tender to let them know so we could at least get a refund or the appetizers to go. After waiting and looking for even a regular server at the tables to tell…we ended up just leaving. Overall 3/10 and that’s only cause the holiday drinks were decent. I wouldn’t return. Over priced very basic bar food with an alright ambiance and slow to no service.

Draft used to be an awesome place. Their service and the way they treat customers have went to shit. After being seated on the patio while the restaurant wasn’t super busy, we were completely forgotten about. Even after telling a server walking past, she just shrugged it off and didn’t seem to care. During this wait I counted 3 tables get up and walk out never ordering. Thats a hell of a business plan to keep letting money walk out the front door.

The wait time for my food to go was about 23 min. The broccolini and the potato had alot of oil. I hope it was not deep fried! The salmon was good. The herbs were tasty. I ordered at the bar. The customer service is awful at the bar. I later came back and ordered a to go desert, it took about 12 min. I asked her if it was going to take longer. The server said that the kichen was In charge and they had a long list. I informed her that the to-go should be prioritized. However, she said it goes based on the list and who ordered 1st. Honestly, the bar customer service stinks because they know either way the drunk people will end up tipping them. The people around creates a good atmosphere.
