Tip: Try the breakfast tacos, especially the bacon, egg, and bean taco. Also, the Dr J's Chips & Queso is enough for 2+ people.

Avis sur Taco Joint Plano
I've been going here once or twice a week for breakfast for about a month. It's high time for a review. They serve very good breakfast tacos (full size, not street tacos) loaded with egg/cheese/meat with 3 salsas to choose from for topping. Prices are more than competitive, service is fine (they usually arrive at my table within 5 minutes), and very nice ambiance (definitely not a hole in the wall place). Today's bacon/egg/cheese att'd
If you're looking for an amazing taco spot in Plano, you have to check out this place! From the moment I walked in, the restaurant was spotless and very well maintained — you can tell they take pride in keeping it extra clean. Francisco, the manager, personally took care of me during my visit. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, from the service to the food quality. The tacos were so fresh and delicious that I completely forgot to take a picture — that's how good they were! Every bite was packed with flavor, and it was obvious everything was made with care. I truly appreciated how attentive Francisco was throughout the whole experience. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
I hadn’t ever been The Taco Joint and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was really quick, excellent chips and salsa and the food was very fresh. And if you want they do serve beer and wine which is an added plus. Definitely be back and worth the visit.
The food was pretty good overall, we ordered the fajita chicken tacos, brisket tacos and chips/queso. I didn't know queso could be so runny! It was hard to get a lot of queso on the chips because it ran off like water. The atmosphere was great, particularly if you like seeing old LPs everywhere. The seating areas are nice and it had been a little cooler the outdoor seating would have been amazing.
Order at the counter taco/Mexican fast food restaurant in a new upscale strip mall. Parking can be limited close to the restaurant but plenty of available at the east end of the building. Food selection is ample. The tacos and burritos where very good. And the best thing is the dog friendly patio!!! Recommend.
Wanted some local tacos and found this location randomly near my hotel, and was glad I stopped in. Got the Dr J's Chips & Queso (this is enough for 2+ people) and the 3 ground sirloin tacos combo. It was PLENTY of food for one person, and was really quite good. This location has staff that are very friendly, and pretty relentless at keeping the place clean. Seating is plentiful inside and out, and I believe their selection of various alcohols are good as well. Well worth taking the time to stop in here and enjoy a meal...I know if I was local a certain national taco chain would never, ever get money from me again after eating here!
The staff here is awesome!!! Love the queso and the dips, also cool Willie Nelson mural
I had passed this placed several times and decided to give it a try. I order a brisket , a beef and a pork taco. They were good. The tortillas are not homemade but I was not expecting homemade from a tex-mex place. The workers were nice, I want to go and try the breakfast 🍳. All in all is an ok place for Tex Mex joint
Just happened to pass this place...I wanted a breakfast taco so ordered a bacon, egg, and bean taco. 😋 🗣TAKE MY MONEY!! I'm even more of a fan because they actually put bacon and not bacon bits.🙌🏾 Just moved out to Plano area...pretty sure this will be my go-to spot. Service is great too. 👋🏾Hey Tad!! Can't wait to try more of the menu! (Tried the spicy fried chicken and egg too!)

The Taco Joint is an excellent place for your taco needs. I enjoy almost everything on their menu and it’s always a good experience. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is great and lively, I love the decor and ambiance. The service is always exceptional and I feel welcome every time I’m there. I’m excited to go back and try new items! Thanks Taco Joint!
I had the nachos, and my daughter had the beef tacos. (First, she had the cheese quesadilla, but the cheese was too much for those braces.) But, overall, the food was good, and the service was great. I appreciated the fact that they were really nice and allowed us to take our time ordering since it was our first time. It was a chill place with good music and good vibes. We do plan on going back.
I recently ordered tacos for an event, and I can’t express how amazing they were! The flavors were absolutely delicious, with each bite bursting with authentic taste. My guests couldn’t stop raving about them! From the perfectly seasoned meat to the fresh toppings, every detail was on point. It truly elevated our gathering, and everyone left with happy bellies. If you’re looking to impress your friends or family with some incredible tacos, look no further. Highly recommend!
This place is a go to :) Service is fast, welcoming, and they care about the quality of their food. I have tried a lot on the menu and enjoy a lot of their flavors! Top fav: cheese burger taco! Friendly staff, clean/vibey atmosphere, and some good food — everything that a successfully run restaurant needs
My husband and I love The Taco Joint! The ground sirloin tacos are so so good! We’ve also had the breakfast tacos and the breakfast burritos along with a few other dishes! The food is always fresh and generous portions and so delicious!! We eat there at least 1-2 x per week. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming.

Have been eating at Rodeo Goat regularly and have been meaning to eat here since it’s in the same parking lot but always forget. But not today! Came here for weekend lunch and it wasn’t too busy. My daughter got the quesadilla molds meal, I got a burrito, my husband got an enchilada plate and we got chips and queso. Everything was good and it hit the split. The salsa bar with the jalapeño ranch was an excellent touch! Very well priced and we left full. Happy to add this to our repertoire.
The menu here has something for everyone, with daily specials included. The pricing was affordable, and the food was good. I liked the ambiance of the place and the staff was great. They had photos and record covers throughout the restaurant that added a great feel to the place. I had Thursdays special, which was great, but I ordered fried jalapeños and was not impressed. The breading was undercooked, and they were not at all spicy. Overall, I will suggest that if interested you should definitely try it.
Tried Taco Joint for the first time - pretty decent. The place itself is awesome - huge inside and great decor. We tried the chips and queso - pretty good. We ordered several different items - quesadillas, brisket tacos, salad, enchiladas, a fish taco, and a burrito. All were good, I would say the brisket was a little tough. Honestly, the rice and beans were awesome! All in all, it’s a great place to try - you’ll find something you like - great menu.
For a taco place the taco joint in Plano is quite a few steps above your regular Taco Bell or Taco Casa in my mind. The selection and options for food we're great. Took a while to go over the menu and decide what looked best for my first meal there. Loads to choose from here. I went with the brisket tacos and the Taste was fabulous. Not quite total upscale restaurant but very higher than other standard taco restaurants I've been to. The facility was extremely nice and clean and atmosphere was very upper scale from most taco places. I enjoyed it very much. Did have slightly too with one of the wait staff, did not seem to be overly friendly and is not great attitude. Could have been that he didn't like working the night shift, don't know. Otherwise I really enjoyed this place and we'll plan on going back and trying some of the other options and available meals that they have.
I ordered a taco salad with ground sirloin. I ordered it via a food delivery app. When my meal arrived, the meat was cold (I know that is probably not their fault). The taco salad was nothing to write home about. The salad dressing tastes like store bought Italian dressing. The guacamole tasted like pre-made pre-packaged guacamole like you would find at the grocery store. Overall, I was happy with my order. Although, I would not order the salad again.

Good sized tacos, crunchy ones are flaky, not stiff. Ground sirloin is greasy though, so this makes the tacos fall apart. Enchiladas are also good as well. Love their three sauces, especially creamy jalapeno.

My experience at The Taco Joint was 3 stars, however I think it was due to the choices I made from the menu. I ordered the Churros for me and they were excellent. I ordered the grilled Tacos for my friend and she didn't like them nor finished them. From the look at the other patrons there, they seem to enjoy there meal. So again I give it three stars only because my friend said the fish Tacos were horrible:(

Taco Joint- Plano, just mid for us. Was truly hoping to find somewhere to grab some breakfast tacos so we tried them today. Area is really cute, parking was ample, outside seating option is nice, and truly the restaurant itself is a vibe. Food was just ok. We wanted to try to the Jalapeno ranch as we love it from Chuy’s; similar in flavor but the turnoff was that it was served very cold, chips were also cold. Even room temp on both would have been ok but cold on cold was unappetizing. “Nacho” portion in the picture was the half-order, very large portions which was nice! I will say the tostadas were crispy for a bit before the natural occurrence of them wilting which is a positive. Beans and cheese were good but disappointed with the ground sirloin, no seasoning, I ended up scraping off the most expensive part and just eating the beans and cheese. Hubs got beef fajita tacos, he said just “ok”. Flour tortillas are not homemade, of course makes a difference. Not for us. To the owner- Please see the screenshot and breakdown of ratings base on categories “food, service, and atmosphere”. My “mid” comment was being generous to the food. If you’d like I can change the comment to “1 star food” if you want review accuracy.
